"Barcocina’s West Town and Lakeview locations both feature 4,000-square-foot patios with couches surrounding the fire pits. When the weather gets really chilly, they set up igloos decked out with festive lights where small groups can gather to snack on tacos, ceviche, and churro bites. The space is also popular for private events thanks to dedicated bars. Make a reservation through OpenTable." - Samantha Nelson

Good Vibes. The food is so good, taco Tuesday is highly recommended. Margaritas flight was good for the price, and other drink options. Indoor, outdoor and bar seating are available. Salsa dancing some nights. Street parking, kid-friendly and great music. Make a reservation for expedited seating

Google
Went for their taco Tuesday’s deal which is pretty cool. You get limitless tacos with a huge variety of flavors suitable for all palettes (I got full by taco no 5) and 3 margaritas (you can add a 4th for $5) which become bottomless after 10pm if you still got the stomach for it! The tacos were pretty good and I liked how the waiters walked around bringing different tacos you could pick (I’d liken it to Fogo De Chao’s experience). They even have a button you can turn over when you are full! Marking a star down cause the music is much too loud! You can’t have a decent conversation in there without shouting at the top of lungs. Would be nice to hear each other while having a nice dinner. Around 830pm they started salsa dancing free lessons which looked fun. The place got lit with people having a good time. I can imagine how lively it must get over the weekend. I’d come back!

I had a great time on Taco 🌮 Tuesday. I was lucky enough to be seated in the back area, on a chilly night. That area has heaters and gas fireplaces. The main area was too much like a cafeteria for my liking; luckily I wasn't seated there. It was too cold to sit outside. Food was great. Limited beer selection. No free tortilla chips? Like what? First time in a "Mexican" restaurant with no free chips.

Google
Love the vibes here, especially the indoor/outdoor setting. The cocktails were great and beer was cold. Crowd is good. Staff is super friendly. Food was ok and service was a little slow. Reservation wasn’t required. Although we were late for the happy hour, they do have them on weekdays.

Beautiful atmosphere super nice staff! Especially Eddie! He is a real problem solver and he makes sure everyone is having a good time. We always have great time over there. Their cocktails are delicious.

Google
Came here with my dog for a happy hour drink and a bite to eat on a Tuesday right after Memorial Day weekend and the patio was empty and inside the restaurant as well - I was the 1st customer so I sat at the first table close to the entrance on the patio . The hostess came by 5 min later and looking and sounding very angry ordered me to move all the way to the back. She was so rude and looked and sounded so angry I did not even understand the reasoning for moving all the way to the back. I was there for almost an hour and there were no other customers on the patio. None!

Google
I had a fantastic experience at Barcocina! Our server, Jackie, was attentive and welcoming, explaining the happy hour specials perfectly. The drinks were delicious, and the food was amazing—full of flavor and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this spot for a great dining experience. Thanks, Jackie! I can't wait to come back!

Google
thought we’d try this place out. had a reservation, but wasn’t needed (more busy at the bar than tables). not greeted and then we waited 24 minutes after being seated. no one came to our table at all, so we decided to leave and go elsewhere. let the host know so they wouldn’t be confused and just got a shrug. hard to imagine the food is worth that.

Yelp
Walking in it was very spacious with lots of indoor and outdoor seating options, including the bars. The place wasn't too crowded considering I arrived around 5:20 during Happy Hour. I opted for outdoor seating, under a canopy for shade. My server let me know immediately I get a free flight with my order (I believe it's only for August). She only described the 4 margs as original, sweet (red), spicy, and smoky - but not the flavors or type of tequila or mezcal. Pretty good, and fairly strong! I ordered the brussel sprouts and yucca tots from the $5 Happy Hour menu. The food came out fairly quickly after ordering, but it did take the server to come back around so my friend could place her order when she arrived; which was about 10-15mins before Happy Hour ended. I didn't read the description on the big menu before ordering, so I was surprised to find the tots stuffed with cheese! Overall they lacked flavor and needed the red sauce that accompanied it to be enjoyable; but the crisp outside and soft interior was a nice texture combo. The brussel sprouts were delicious, nice balance of acidity and salt along with the pickled red onions, they could use a little less cheese. My friend ordered the elotes and said it was good it just needed more corn with overwhelming ratio of dairy & cheese in it. We also shared a $20 taco flight, 2 cauliflower & 1 shrimp bang bang, and 1 chicken. The cauliflower bang bang were a pleasant sweet flavor with non-mushy breading and in fact cauliflower which was a pleasant surprise. I only wish they had more non-soy vegetarian/vegan taco options. I'd definitely come back during Happy Hour for 1/2 price margs and try the taco salad next time; nice chill vibe and ambiance, with good menus options!

Yelp
Service was so quick and attentive! Their patio is dog friendly which is a huge plus and they gave ample seating and heaters for the chilly nights! The music was great and the food was fine! This is a place you come more so for vibes and drinks than food id say! The Guac though was amazing and is a must order! We got free marg flights as part of a deal they were running and the "when I met you in the summer" was by far the groups favorite

Yelp
I came for the first time this past weekend for brunch. It was fairly empty upon arrival and service was prompt. I ordered the unlimited mimosas and it seemed to be mostly OJ. I asked if the second one could have less OJ and it came the same way. I asked again and the server informed me they are short on Prosecco so it was being made with less Prosecco and mostly juice. I have never experienced such a thing. Brunch? Low on Prosecco? Maybe run to the store, tell the guest you don't have any... perhaps provide a discount. $60 is a bit high for a drink not being made properly. Service was kind and attentive, but I will not be going back.

Molly C.

Yelp
Stopped by during West Fest for some drinks, nice server, large outdoor/indoor space, clubbish vibes. Haven't tried the food but a good spot for drinks and to sit outside if you are out with a group.

Yelp
A few girl friends and I came to for dinner Barcocina during our recent trip. We had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. We booked an outdoor igloo for $75 per person (+tax & tip) which included huge portions of food & unlimited drinks for two hours. This was an incredible price in my opinion. First off the igloo was super cute, kept us very warm and the highlight was the speaker inside for us to connect and play our own music. This would be so perfect for a birthday, bachelorette party or any special occasion. The food was so so good! My favorites were the steak quesadilla and shrimp tacos. Those were must orders for sure! The cheeseburger was probably my least favorite but I loved the unique option. The spicy marg is a must if you like spicy. It had the perfect amount of heat. To top off this experience our server, Abby, was the best. She consistently made sure to check in on us and ensure the heat, food & drinks were all great. She also helped us take the best group photos. We also met the GM, Cisco. He made sure we were well taken care of too. Super awesome all around!

Yelp
I was surprised this place was so quiet on a Sunday, we had such a great time! Drinks, food, service, you name it and it was good. If I lived nearby, I would be a regular here. We unfortunately showed up right after their brunch ended but it seemed like they had a really great brunch deal! I was not super hungry so I ordered the salmon bites and they were pretty small (haha picture shown) but I understood as it was an appetizer & not full meal. Even though it was a bit pricey. Drinks were top notch and vibes were the same! If you haven't been to Barcocina, I recommend giving it a go. Thanks Barcocina, hope to see you soon! Personal Review: 7.7/10

Yelp
I loved this place when they had good management. We would come in at least once a week and bring large groups by often. After Adam left, service became mediocre at best. The night that turned us off completely was being treated like shit from the bartenders, and I think one of them was a manager. I get it, when its busy and you are not prepared, its overwhelming. I was in the service industry for 15 years and completely understand. But you don't treat people that way, especially regulars. That was the final straw. Although the food is decent, and atmosphere is cool, we are no longer dine there or grab a cocktail. Only as a last resort. Its too bad, was hoping for a regular spot that we can lean on.

Shanna V.

Yelp
We had a great time celebrating my birthday. Love the atmosphere. If it hadn't been the hottest day of the year, I definitely would have wanted to be outside. Since it WAS the hottest day of the year and they still had the patio open, it was rather warm in the restaurant. The tacos are delicious and I HIGHLY recommend trying the truffle guacamole and the Brussels sprouts are incredible. My only note is that since we got there right as they opened, it took a while for a server to come to our table, even with a reservation. But once they got to us, The staff was very accommodating

Yelp
To start with the good, this spot has a huge patio with an outdoor bar that is a fantastic space during the summer. Definitely get the vibe that this is a spot to see and be seen and soak in the beach-club like vibes. Service was decently attentive and friendly. Unfortunately that's about it for Barcocina. Don't want to be harsh but these were the most bland tacos I've had in my life (numerous people at my table agreed with this for their different tacos as well). They actually tasted like nothing, which was super disappointing because the presentation looked great. My soft shells ripped causing ingredients to spill out as they didn't double up on the shells. Lastly these are so overpriced it's crazy. $16 for 3 tacos but wait the menu is "cash price only" so add 3% extra if you are paying with credit.... This is a digital world no one is paying with cash. This seems like a predatory business practice. $5.50 a taco before tax and tip is wild. Also this has become common but good to note - parties of 6 or more have a 20% service charge. Again, hate to be harsh, but between the prices and food quality you're better off going somewhere else at least for now.

Yelp
We came in and were politely greeted by the 2 hostess and taken to our table. Table was dirty still had food on it ring marks from previous drinks there. A busboy walked by us did a double take and started cleaning our dirty table. Many free tables to sit at that were clean to seat us at but decided in that one. Server came. He took our order. Our drinks came first. They were good. We ordered Paloma's with a chamoy and tajin rim. Our food arrived.... Such a disappointment! Tacos lacked any seasoning. The yuca bites had ZERO seasoning. No salt no pepper. The queso fundido had a boiled/poached egg on top. For why? And it was cream cheese. Naw bruh. Lastly the octopus. That octopus was so hard and gummy! Couldn't bite through it. The potatoes it comes with.... guess what.... NO SALT! Had to ask busboy for salt. I have NEVER left my octopus untouched until Sunday. The best part of our meal were the tortilla chips. They were the only thing with salt. Those were the real MVP's! Learned a valuable lesson that day. I will go to a Mexican restaurant for Mexican food.

Ross P.

Yelp
They have a limited menu but what I tried was excellent. I had shrimp tacos. They had a fun Latin dance group that does social dancing on Tuesday nights. They also have an excellent outside bar.

Gina M.

Yelp
I've heard so many good things about their brunch service. We all finally decided to make it and the ambiance was just right! luckily we had good weather so the patio was open. It was a little crowded but we had good service and the server was attentive and super friendly and the cutest smile (Olga) food and drinks were so good the server was on point w the mimosas! Birria tacos is a must! smores french toast so good!! Chilaquiles you can't go wrong with!!! music can Be better and not play top 40 lol

Angelina I.

Yelp
Good drinks and great place to come for Latin dancing on Tuesday nights! Great DJ for salsa, bachata and cumbia dancing. They also have a big patio in the back to cool down or relax with friends.

Yelp
Review for restaurant week! Choice of appetizer was the guac it was good fresh yummy and chunky, the balsamic on it was a nice touch it's different and I liked that it had light cheese on it. They gave us free chip and salsa, green salsa is good but the flavor is more subtle has a spicy kick but the after taste to it was watery more limey / soury. The red salsa had better flavor and was chunkier but the same spice level as the green. Some of the pieces of the salmon were cooked how I liked it tender ish. The sauce is really good tomatoy and I love the addition of the capers and spinach. But the other pieces of salmon were more on the firm / overcooked side. I also ordered a paloma which I felt was too strong. The bang bang tacos at first were very good, sweet taste but the after taste was way too fishy and I like my shrimp more firm. And I wasn't really a fan of the tajin on the tacos. dessert was my fave part the bread was sweet and caramely and the icecream was a good addition and paired perfectly with it

Allegra A.

Yelp
Super cute patio but super mid food. Would not return here unfortunately. The food lacked flavor and seasoning and it was expensive for what you actually get. Our party of 6 started with drinks. I got the house marg. Didn't taste much tequila, as it seemed watered down. My husband got a frozen daiquiri and said his was sweet but couldn't taste alcohol either. Our table got guac, salsas and yucca potatoes as apps. Unfortunately it was the most flavorless guac I've ever had. No seasoning on the potatoes either. I sound like a broken record but my tacos also lacked flavor. Just overall super disappointed with the meal. Again while the patio is cute, there's definitely better tacos in West Town. NOTE: menu reflect "cash" prices and there's a 3% service charge for using credit card. Automatic 20% gratuity added if party is greater than 6.

Shaunta E.

Yelp
Was able to catch this place on a hot summer night. We sat outside on the patio, it was lit too crowded. I had a 25.00 birthday reward with them and was happy to use it. I started with the lavender margarita, I'm usually not a mezcal girl, but I made the exception and was not disappointed. My son had the chicken tinga and I had the quesabirria both were delicious. The elotes dip was very good as well. Of course my son had to have the churro bites. They we ok, didn't really taste like anything. Overall our server Brandon was amazing and he checked on us multiple times. The food was good. I say give it a try! I'll be back.

Nikita J.

Yelp
I literally just walked in right now to get seated. The hostess asked if we had reservations. I said no we don't. She said we don't have a table until 12:30. I said no problem and thank you and I walked out. I looked up open table- tables available literally every 30 minutes. How rude. I live next door and come here often but obviously won't be coming again. I wanted to update my review to say that the owner reached out and explained the situation in more detail! I really appreciate the reach out and will continue to come here!

Tinisha B.

Yelp
Cheers to Brandon! After surfing around for a chill spot on a Monday it was refreshing to find seating easily. The tequila options were amazing and very inviting. I couldn't resist sampling at least one flight. The empanadas and shrimp quesadillas were very tasty to compliment our cocktails. Very reasonable pricing for the meal and drinks along with the street parking this place is must visit. Highly recommended for date night or an outing with friends. Make sure you ask for the server Brandon, he was very kind and knowledgeable about all of the menu items. He made sure our food came out exactly as ordered and promptly. 10/10

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick bite today and I was really surprised and in a good way. I've seen this place open up in my area now for a few months. Just never got the chance to check it out. It's got a HUGE outdoor patio, which is great for the summer. Really great ambiance. I got take out of just the cauliflower tacos and they were SO delicious. They don't have a lot of vegetarian options and that's probably one of the reasons we haven't been here. On top of that, sometimes cauliflower tacos can be a bit bland... and so I kept my expectations low, but to my surprise the tacos were great. Good flavor and they had like a cheesy sauce to them. So good. Didn't really try much else, but they do have al pastor tofu tacos, yucca tots, brussel sprouts, and I assume they can make a veggie quesadilla. So more to try next time. I do wish they'd consider adding more taco or other veggie options. One thing I'll say is our order was mixed up, initially. We did order that cauliflower, but they first brought out shrimp instead. They took care of us, but it did delay the takeout process quite a bit. Looking forward to next time.

Sara C.

Yelp
Barcocina is a great place to meet friends for drinks, their drink menu is extensive and fun, they have an outdoor patio that is really enjoyable. The service is superb but the food is just average at least the tacos. I recommend the octopus that dish was the favorite. They are willing to accommodate gluten free and lactose allergies

Jasmine S.

Yelp
The service was great! The brunch reservation lasts for 2 hours with bottomless drinks (around 5 different kinds), a brunch buffet with fruits, eggs, bacon, and potatoes, and you get chips/salsa and an entree. The patio was nice and clean, and the music was not overpowering. Highly recommend.

Maralyn O.

Yelp
Mary, our server was amazing, cocktails were delicious, ambiance was hopping, music was popping! Outdoor area amazing, outdoor bar too! Loved it!

Jessica S.

Yelp
Such a cute space! The sign reads "Feed me tacos & tell me I'm pretty" is iconic and very accurate. Got the truffle corn guacamole and never seen such a heaping plate of delicious guac with fresh, hot chips to dip. Did not really taste the truffle, but guac and corn was delicious. Ended up getting an adobo steak taco that was very well spiced and paired very nicely with the corn tortilla. The Diablo shrimp quesadilla was also packed with flavor albeit there was a hint of chlorine taste from the shrimp... Drinks were organized in such a cute fashion (sweet vs spicy, etc). Would definitely be back! Service was amazing :)

Courtney B.

Yelp
Our group had the best igloo experience last night. Cisco and Abby are incredible, very personable and were on top of all things service. The food was to die for, 10/10 best deal with drinks and food. Highly recommend. I would love to come back in summer for the patio!

Jojn J.

Yelp
Hidden 3% surcharge for what? The waitress didn't know either. Just another way to steal money from the working man. The food was just ok. $16 for 3 tacos is ridiculous, even for west town. Don't waste your time, you'll regret getting ripped off by these clowns.

Erin H.

Yelp
Worth the hype! Everything is bright, beautiful, and clean. Vibes are immaculate, even at 4pm when there wasn't many people there. Food was delishhh, highly recommend everything pictured. We went at happy hour which offered half off margaritas and complimentary chips and salsa. Service was great too! Our waiter checked on us multiple times and was super friendly. Can't wait to come back or bring out of town friends!

Emily R.

Yelp
Yovanni was the best server! Didn't really eat food, but happy hour was worth it and complimentary chips were great

Melody H.

Yelp
Great place to go to brunch with friends & family on the weekends! There's so many options you can choose from when you choose the bottomless brunch - there's bottomless drinks which you can switch between, there's food you can order from the menu & food you can snack on from the buffet. The buffet choices were quite limited though and okay choices, but the food ordered on the menu was delicious! Our server seemed quite busy because it gets pretty full for brunch & she forget to bring our drinks a couple times (you have a time limit for getting your bottomless drinks), but overall a fun place to hang out on the weekend. Would love to come back a try the dinner/lunch menu too!

Sarah M.

Yelp
Staff is always helpful and friendly. Drinks (between the last two times I've been) were hit and miss. Their spicy marg when I went the first time was top tier, while this last time it was absolutely undrinkable. Food is delicious.

Djcairo H.

Yelp
The food was not what I expected, Service needs the attention to detail, The best thing was the Elote out of 5 items.

D. R.

Yelp
The service here is ridiculously slow. Our individual server is rude and could use the gift of patience for those who are new to their establishment. I'm sitting in the restaurant at this very moment writing this review and can guarantee this will be my first and last time spending my money here. Update: I read more reviews and agree food definitely lacked seasoning. But my friends really enjoyed their food so different strokes for different folks. My house margarita was the star of the day for me. I'm still not coming back

Kaitlin K.

Yelp
Beautiful outdoor patio. Can accommodate large groups. I always find the margaritas too sweet but they have a large cocktail and tequila selection. The food is tasty, some designed for sharing and others as meals so it can be whatever you want it to be! There is some good shade coverage on the patio and we were able to seat a group of 9 with no reservation on a Thursday. Though reservations are recommended! There is an added fee for large parties and to make a reservation. It's not quite my favorite marg in the city but the setting is amazing so I'll definitely be back.

Madeline H.

Yelp
I came here with my friends for dinner on a Saturday night. It was not very busy. The food and drinks were decent but nothing special at all. They have a great outdoor dining area but unfortunately I won't be visiting Bar Cocina again because the service was abysmal. We had to go up to the bar multiple times to get drinks because our server refused to check on us. We also saw other tables going up to the bar to order. Someone in our group never received their food and we had to go tell the bartender because, again, our server was nowhere to be found. The food was eventually brought out (salmon bites) and it was a couple of crackers with guac spread on them and a piece of salmon on top. At this point we think we're getting Punk'd. We had to tell our server to remove the salmon bites from the bill and she did. We also asked for money off our bill because of the terrible service and they did give us a 20% discount so that was very much appreciated. To me, Barcocina is a restaurant that would be good in the suburbs. It just does not have Chicago quality food or atmosphere. The decorations on the wall look like they're from Marshall's.

Sunny P.

Yelp
It was pretty busy for weekend dinner time! We didn't have reservations but still managed to get a spot quick. I noticed they have a big party room in the back for special events such as a work party! The inside was pretty clean and chique! Our waiter was very nice and helped us pick out some dishes. We got chips and queso for our appetizer and orders two tacos (3 each so 6 total). The cauliflower was SO delicious and flavorful. I highly recommend it if you like sweet dishes. The steak adobo was delicious as well and has a nice spicy kick to it! I really would come back to try some of their drinks and more food!

Pilar G.

Yelp
This is such a nice addition to the neighborhood. Great food and fun drinks. It is small places so it can get pricey, but it's fun to share and try lots of different things. The poke tacos are great. They also have a couple mock tails which is fun. When the restaurant isn't busy, the service is great and ambiance is fun. When it gets busy, I have found that the service is not as good and it gets super loud. The servers are nice no matter what, but can be very slow and not always attentive when it gets busy.

Melanie H.

Yelp
5 stars for the ambiance. 3 for the food. Look, the food is serviceable but you're not coming here for tacos when there are tons of great taco spots in the area. You come here for the drinks and the incredible patio. Can't wait until it's warm enough to thoroughly enjoy it.

Yelp
Had a terrible experience trying to book an event here. They DO NOT accommodate elderly, disabled, or children so don't attempt to book a family reservation here! I reached out to them to book a post-Baptism celebration, only because they are located in very close proximity to our church. We thought the cuisine and size of venue indicated a fun, family-friendly restaurant culture but no - it's really just a bar more than anything and catering to a very specific demographic and age group. The event coordinator Desi first suggested a $60/per person Bottomless Brunch plan as if we are going to heavily drink after a baby's baptism at the church, then thought a room with NO CHAIRS AT ALL would be appropriate for our family group of 20. She didn't inform me there would be no chairs until I looked back at the photos and asked her directly what kind of chairs there would be because I didn't see any for that particular area in the photo. They present it in their event .pdf as "Best for Mingling" but that's a lie. They mean ONLY FOR MINGLING and there will be NO chairs there! A $500 minimum "space" called the Party Bar. Then I said we have elderly grandparents, one being 85 with a cane, cancer patients, toddlers, and we need chairs. Should've been obvious that a family celebration needed chairs, but I informed her of our specifics and what she suggested next was then also absurd. We then agreed on two long tables in the main restaurant area but then when I scoured their website and social again for pictures of the type of chairs in that area, I found that they were just BAR STOOLS WITH NO BACKS. I then asked if we could reserve a space on the patio since I saw regular low chairs with backs there and she told me it would be $75 per person to reserve and I believe additional for anyone to be able to sit on one of the sofas they have out there. I politely canceled and booked with a family-friendly venue immediately. I told Desi I apologized for not knowing they were more of a bar, and she insisted that they are a regular restaurant, which made it even worse given the difficultly she had put me through over a couple weeks of back and forth with her completely insensitive suggestions. We went on to have an amazing event and spend over $1,200 elsewhere so I hope they understand what being ageist and ableist is doing to their business and their potential for future business. I now have no interest in ever coming here for any reason whatsoever.

Dorothy S.

Yelp
Came here for a surprise birthday party and had a lovely time. Bartenders are great, food was tasty. They have a huge outdoor patio for the summer, which I'm sure will be v popular. Street parking in this area is aight.

Marilyn M.

Yelp
Love this place! Always coming here for a quick bite and drink, service is amazing and drinks are phenomenal! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a new spot to drink and eat good food! Jenny the manager was very friendly and attentive as well as Gloria the bartender. Definitely will be coming back!

Sophia B.

Yelp
I always have the best experience when I come into barco! My server Steph was amazing and gave 10/10 customer service. Love her!!

Sarah W.

Yelp
To start, this place is very lively and upbeat. The layout is spacious and well organized, where tables are not crammed together. For starters we got Spanish octopus and elotè with chips. Our mains were the Bang Bang Shrimp tacos and the pork and pineapple tacos. The elotè was the only thing that was perfect for me. All the other dishes had a few misses. For me, the pork tacos had too much meat and the shrimp tacos also a similar issue (entire taco was only shrimp). I know what a strange complaint, but both could've used some sauce or a better distribution of ingredients. The Spanish octopus was cooked to perfection, but the side garnishes were not done as well. There was a olive paste on the dish that had no flavor, just added texture I suppose and there was a fresh salad of arugula and celery, but it was drenched in lemon juice. The devices was extremely quick which was appreciated. Overall, the place is very hip and I'm sure it'll be a summer hit. Food is good, but nothing wow. I will admit, I might've made a poor choice for my entree and should've gone with something else. I will be returning to try some of the other dishes and hopefully choose more wisely.

Yelp
The space is nice and the patio is going to be great when it gets warmer. Though the food is good, but not worth the crazy high prices. There are too many good taco places in the city to pay so much for just okay tacos. Would come back for drinks on the patio.

Yelp
So we went to Barcocina yesterday and the experience was horrible. I'm not sure if it was because of the promotion they did with KenInChicago (mention her name and receive a free margarita flight) but I've been before and it was nothing like this. We were told we could not order due to a 2hr delay once we were ready to order. This was not told to us by the hostess or by the waitress the first time she came by and brought us water (we didn't see her for another 30 minutes). We actually had reservations but despite being backed up, the staff kept seating people. When the waitress finally came back (after asking 3 staff members for her) she explained the back up and apologized. From there, we each (3 of us) ordered the flight with the promotion. To our surprise, we only received 2 flights and were told it was 1 flight per 2 people (despite seeing otherwise on other tables). Once we tasted the margaritas we knew it was time to go. They were extremely watered down and again, not sure if this was because of the promotion but we've had drinks before and they tasted nothing like yesterday. All in all, I feel they were overwhelmed with the number of people there. I will not be going back though because we asked to speak to a manager at least 4 times and no one ever came. To me that is extremely dismissive and I don't care to patron a restaurant who doesn't understand the importance of customer service.

Yelp
Everything I had on the restaurant week menu was very tasty! The atmosphere is very trendy and everything is reasonably priced for the portions you get! Queso and guacamole can't go wrong!

Yelp
It's currently 12:51 AM on a weekday and my upstairs neighbor and I are awake from Barcocina blasting music on our residential street. No one picking up the phone. Really an awful addition to the neighborhood

Yelp
I recently had dinner at Barcocina and I have to say, I was really impressed. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with a great patio trendy and welcoming. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. But the real star of the show was the food. We started with the guacamole, which was fresh and flavorful, and the street corn, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right

Yelp
My fiancée & I were there for a private party. Our bartender was terrible. He did not seem like he was all there. I ordered a mocktail & he served me a cocktail. I ordered a seltzer for someone & he handed me the complete wrong flavor. The food - horrible & overpriced. The brisket cornbread Benedict had rubbery brisket, slimy egg, & the absolute smallest cornbread. Not worth it one bit. To top it off, I closed out my tab & upon looking @ my bank statement. I was charged additional items which weren't mine. Overall not a great experience & I would love a refund for those incorrect charges. Thanks & please do better

Yelp
Great happy hour! Also the margarita and guacamole class hosted by Paul is fantastic! He makes it so fun and is very knowledgeable about tequila! Not only do you get to try different tequilas, but you get to make guacamole, margaritas, and Cold-brew-tini's which are absolutely delicious! Highly recommend! Definitely worth the money!
