"Get plenty of variety with a $60 two-hour brunch that includes Modelo, punch, house margaritas, mimosas, micheladas, a breakfast buffet, chips & salsa, and a choice of tacos or a brunch dish like chilaquiles or s’mores french toast. The same package is also available at the restaurant’s Lakeview location. Or, spring for takeout and order online." - Sam Nelson
"Barcocina’s West Town and Lakeview locations both feature 4,000-square-foot patios with couches surrounding the fire pits. When the weather gets really chilly, they set up igloos decked out with festive lights where small groups can gather to snack on tacos, ceviche, and churro bites. The space is also popular for private events thanks to dedicated bars. Make a reservation through OpenTable." - Sam Nelson

"Modern Mexican restaurant Barcocina has expanded into West Town with a dining room and sprawling 230-seat indoor-outdoor patio that ownership has tailored for year-round use. It features two double-sided fireplaces and can be completely enclosed to keep the winter winds at bay." - Naomi Waxman

"“Feed Me Tacos and Tell Me I’m Pretty” reads a neon sign at Barcocina’s West Town location. Whether you dine there or at Barcocina’s Lakeview spot, you’ll find modern Mexican cuisine in a friendly, convivial setting (cozy fireplaces included). Bring a group and prepare to share everything from yucca tots with smoky adobo, to guacamole laced with truffle, to hanger steak quesadillas and pineapple pork tacos. They also have a fun take on the espresso martini called a Cold Brew Tini, made with cold brew, Absolut Vodka, and Kahlúa, as well as a few dashes of cocoa bitters and a touch of agave." - Ariel Kanter

"Opening in early October at 1814 W. Chicago Avenue, the new Barcocina outpost in West Town will expand the modern Mexican restaurant’s footprint beyond its Lakeview patio near Wrigley Field. The team is leaning into a sharing-focused menu that keeps longtime hits like yucca tots and firecracker shrimp while adding test-driven items from Lakeview such as scallop ceviche bites with strawberry and hibiscus “caviar.” Executive chef Ramiro Piza also plans to push boundaries — kicking things off with an Octoberfest-themed taco featuring jalapeño sausage — and general manager Adam Webb describes the taco as a vessel for showcasing a wide array of cuisines. The building renovations include a 230-seat patio that’s 50 percent larger than the Lakeview location, two bars (one fully enclosable for year-round service) and a drinks program expected to feature about 40 tequilas plus an extensive assortment of cocktails (by the glass or pitcher), draft beers, and wines." - Naomi Waxman
