"This slow-cooked beef and mushroom stew is Catalonia’s ultimate carnivorous comfort food, and there’s nowhere better to try it than at Barcelona’s best meat restaurant, Bardeni. Less of a steakhouse and more of an upscale bistro where meat is the main character, this is the kind of spot where they know how to chop a tartare, grill a steak, and smoke a beef tongue, but it’s their fricandó that keeps us coming back. Most fricandós are made from blade steak, but Bardeni’s changes it up with collagen-heavy Uruguayan Angus beef cheek. Unlike most fricandós that are served as a stew, they also load it up on a bite-sized sandwich filled with smooth cream cheese and a homemade mushroom cream with the glistening, slow-cooked meat layered on top. Such a nice little local meat shop. 2 people working the front and 2 other in the back. Each patron needs to order at least 2 dishes. But the food is sooo good I can order 5! I absolutely love the oxtail canelloni and the hanger steak. The oxtail is so soft and the sauce is so thick I can eat it all day. The hanger steak is so tender I thought it was tenderloin. Everything is just sooooo good. Service is also very friendly.

This was easily the most disappointing meal I had in Barcelona. The restaurant was stiflingly hot, which made it hard to enjoy anything. The atmosphere felt overly pretentious—like it was trying too hard to impress without delivering substance. Despite the hassle of securing an advance reservation and paying a deposit, the food was forgettable. In fact, it was probably the least impressive I had during my entire trip. And to top it off? Not even free bread. For the price point, that’s just insulting. Barcelona is full of incredible dining experiences. Bardeni el Meatbar – Caldeni isn’t one of them.

If you are a meatlover and you are in Barcelona, this is a must place for you. They really know their meats and know how to cook them. All the dishes are very creative and tasty. I really loved their 60-day old ribeye steak. What a flavorful piece of meat! The place works only for limited hours, so reservation is a must.

The best meal we’ve ever had. It was so good that we came back the next day for dinner. Recommended to us by our tour guide, Albert, the oxtail cannelloni and egg/octopus dish were absolute standouts. You can’t go wrong here and the desserts are as good. The waitress is also the nicest person. Highly recommend.

We found this restaurant by chance and thought we‘d try it out. Little did we know that it would be one of the best culinary experiences of our life, especially for the price. Also, the ambiente and the service were top notch. The waitress could answer all of our questions and give us insight into the dishes, which is extremely handy when you’re an outsider/tourist. They had menus in various languages. I‘ll definetly go back here when I‘m back in Barcelona!!

If you want a nice tender dry-aged beef look no further. Me and my partner shared two of the smaller starter items (foie and the meat filled cannelloni) and two of the meat courses and finished with some cheese. Portions aren't huge and if we didn't have tapas earlier in the evening we probably would've wanted another couple of servings. Seasonings, presentation and quality all top notch. Loved all the dishes we where served. Total including a bottle of red from Priorat landed at a hundred euros.

Great tapas place, excellent quality food and the service was lovely. One of the best pieces of beef I have had. The decor is very quirky. The waiters spoke perfect English and made us feel very welcome.
