Bareburger

I ordered an Americana burger with added bacon, onion rings, and a soda. The food was absolutely delicious! My server, Genesis was incredibly kind and attentive. Thanks to her, I had a happy and enjoyable evening. She speaks not only English but also Spanish, which made the experience even better. If I travel to New York again, I will definitely visit this place :)

I tried Bareburger and had the TWO Wagyu Smash Burgers with All-Natural French Fries. The service was absolutely amazing—friendly, quick, and attentive, which really made the experience enjoyable. As for the burgers, they were good, but they fell a little short of the hype. The Wagyu patties were flavorful, but they didn’t quite reach “best burger ever” status for me. That said, it’s still a solid spot to grab a bite, and the fries were perfectly crispy and delicious. Worth checking out if you’re in the mood for a casual burger and great service!

This is an incredibly delicious burger spot. The meat is juicy, and the temperature of the bun and the other ingredients are perfect. Personally, I felt the pickles in the burger really elevated the flavor, leaving a great impression. I think this is a must-visit place if you come to New York!

This was my first time visiting with my daughter and we had a great time the music was setting the vibe and the server and manager on duty were very professional. There was not a moment where we had to wait for anything they made sure the attention was aimed towards all the guests seated. The manager and the server genesis are great people and i will be coming back again

I’m always sceptical that a business is tampering with reviews when they are as high as this. Absolutely not true for this place. I got an Americana burger as recommended, and wow. Genuinely, the best burger I’ve ever had. Period. This is a must do restaurant for your New York trip.

We had a great experience at Bareburger. We a burger, a smash burger, as well as onion rings and sweet potato fries. Everything was absolutely excellent. I particularly recommend the sweet potato fries and the onion rings. The service was also great. I highly recommend this restaurant

Genesis was our server and she was amazing! She was attentive and made sure to check on us often and gave us great service, and the food was delicious!

I came here recently with a group of friends. I had never been to Bareburger before, but one of my friends has a severe gluten allergy and she's always felt safe eating here. I had the Spicy Paul Bunion Burger (bison patty, habanero pepper jack, pickled jalapeño, raw red onion, spicy mayo) on a brioche bun. I thought it was a little expensive considering it didn't come with a side, but it tasted good. The service was really good given that it's a chain fast-casual restaurant. I don't know if I'd make a point to come back here, but we all had a nice time.

We had a great lunch, and our waitress was fantastic! The milkshake was delicious! The menu offers a wide variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious. We built our sandwich and were pleased with the flexibility and results.

The best burgers in the city. Hands down! Super super juicy patties and very flavorful. Thick crispy onion rings and my daughter said the best sweet potato fries she's had. I agree. To top it off, they have grass-fed beef burgers. You can't do better than that! I ate at a Bare Burger years ago and I have to say today it is so much better. 5 stars all the way!!!

I've had the amazing fried chicken sandwich and it was so delicious!! Crispy and NOT greasy at all. I had it on a lettuce wrap and the romaine was nice and crisp-not wilted at all from the the sauces that were in the sandwich. The service is great-shoutout to Kat!! She is the best! Everyone else is just as helpful And wonderful-Santiago is a great dude. I keep coming here for the great food and great service. This location is smaller than some of the other Bareburgers I've been in but nonetheless same atmosphere of quality service! 5/5 stars!!

Nice server team! Hard to get organic, grass fed, bison/beef cooked around here. They were accommodating, the burgers were nice and juicy. Would recommend!

Great service, great food and amazing modifications for people with allergies. I have celiac and I recommend it for anyone with gluten sensitivities. They also have great veggie and vegan options.

This has got to be one of the best burgers I've ever had. Amazing flavor. Ingredient quality is really top of the line and it shows. I love that they use organic beef and organic greens (etc.!). They have so many options for what you want your burger to be made of! If I could give it more than five stars I would. For those complaining about price--a standard (organic, delicious, large, flavorful, high quality) burger is $11. You pay for what you get. If you want a less healthy, less tasty, worse quality, less environmentally responsible burger, there are plenty of cheap options out there! ;)

The servers were awesome!! They were vey friendly and professional. They went above and beyond!!!

Food was good but small. Ordered a double patty and it seemed like the 4oz rather than 8oz. Not pictured were the honey Brussels (roasted Brussels sprouts were the start of the show). Service was great, everyone was friendly and inviting.

We love this spot but this review is about Genesis who waited on us today. She's the most pleasant server Ive met in nyc. She has a bright personality and she was kind and warm which in today's world it's hard to do. Thank you for welcoming us!

Staying nearby and wanted a change from our pizza / street food we've been eating all week. My burger was good - hot, good flavor, very juicy, nice sharp cheddar, two layers of tomato. My partner's chicken sandwich was meh. One problem was it being two awkwardly shaped, thick pieces of chicken. As soon as she bit into it, the particular piece squirted out the back end of the brioche and ultimately becomes easier to eat with a knife and fork. Ambiance was a little off for me with some loud music going on in an otherwise quiet night.

Genesis has been very friendly, profesional and quick with our service. The food is always great and the prices are unbeatable. The music was perfect and everyone at the place seemed to be enjoying their food and company. Great atmosphere.

I had the Guadalupe burger with sweet potato fries. Both items were pretty run of the mill. It ended up being a bit more expensive than I would've liked for the portion sizes.

My coworker and I were in the area and in need of a quick but satisfying lunch. I had dined at the hell's kitchen location previously, so I suggested we give their broadway location a try. After waiting more than 35 minutes for our beverages, I was wishing I had let my coworker talk me into eating at mcdonalds. After the long wait for our drinks, our food arrived not long after. My Sandwich the chicky club (Grilled all-natural chicken, smoked bacon, avocado, organic green leaf, organic tomatoes, mayo, sourdough) was just poor quality, tasted worse than it looked- chicken texture felt like it had been reheated the bread was toasted but cold.. My coworker ordered one of their salads and added chicken. She said her chicken was super hot and fresh- but the salad itself was wilty and left something to be desired.

I'm picky when it comes to a veggie burger. I mean REALLY picky. I just stopped into Bareburger on the UWS and had the "My Sunshine" veggie burger. This is magic I've traveled all over the country and I've been vegetarian for 20 years. This might be the best burger I've ever had!! It was so delicious that I couldn't even add ketchup! Sometime that's the entire point of a burger is just to hold ketchup. But not this one. Treat yourself and try this. It's my new go to spot. The folks behind the counter are wonderful as well.

Not the best service or quality. I was so excited to have a Bareburger open up in UWS, but based on my experience, I don't think I'll be coming back. It was not busy and we only ordered a sandwich and salad, but had to wait over 15 min. And there was no explanation or apology for how long the food took. - Dilly Chick ($12+): The buttermilk-fried all-natural chicken was great. But the buns were not warm, even though they were toasted, which just downgraded the sandwich. Once we were finished with our meal, our server was busy chatting with her co-workers, so we had to go to the counter to pay our bill. Unfortunately, a disappointing experience overall.

A great UWS quick bite when u need that comfort, exam cramping, diet reveling self treat without guilt plus a yummy sparking rosé. Ms Genesis was great with her service and her attentiveness. I will come back alone, with my adult kids and with my hubby 100%.

Bare burger is your typical burger joint and there's nothing wrong with that. I stopped in with a few friends to grab a bite and we all have very different palates and diets. Thankfully, the restaurant featured something for each of us to enjoy. Our waiter John was very helpful and attentive and guided us through the menu options. I chose a Blazin Bacon Burger and shared a side of fries. The burger ate slightly dry but had enough flavor for me to forgive them. The fries were very fresh and delicious. There were also a few shake options, but they didn't have nondairy milk so I didn't play myself. I did taste a tiny bit of a friend's shake though and they were very pleased.

I had a great meal. I love how quick and efficient this location is almost every time. I am in love with their Green Goddess sauce and I have tried the buffalo burger. It's really good. I look forward to my future orders and visits from this location. I'm very happy.

Good, high protein, healthy option for delivery. They have Elk, Bison, and collard green wrappers instead of buns if you're trying to stay lean. Price and portions are fair relative to quality.

Ordered a standard burger last night, it was supposed to come with colby cheese, caramelized onions, dill pickles and special sauce. Instead, all I got was two plain patties on a day-old and somewhat stale bun. And they have the nerve to charge $14 for their burgers. A sick joke! I want my $14 + tax back! #JusticeForRichy

I live on the same block and had to try this Upper west location. I placed a pickup order through seamless after seeing the 5$ delivery fee. Yikes I ordered the blazin' bacon burger, fries, and a chocolate shake. All items had special requests and everything was followed to a T. Everything came neatly packaged without any spills. What really surprised me was how crispy the fries stayed despite being packed up. I unwrapped my burger and was greeted with a thick delicious patty with all of my favorite toppings. Despite the juicy ness of the burger the bun stayed firm and held together. The shake was delicious. Hard to mess up ice cream and milk. While everything was delicious I thought the experience was a little expensive when you take everything into consideration. A burger, fries and a shake cost 36$ for a pickup order. If I opted to have the order delivered, I would have paid an additional 5 in delivery and 5 or so in tip approaching 50 dollars for essentially a burger, fries and a drink. The same order from shake shack would have cost me 21$, almost half as much as the bareburger order. Was bareburger delicious? Absolutely. Is their food worth paying almost double that of shake shack? A lot of people consider shake shack premium fast food already so, I think bare-burger will be a little too pricy for some. I know this is still pandemic time in NYC, (and this is a prime Broadway location) but us upper west siders are always on the hunt for a deal, and considering the track record of that address on Broadway, I wish bareburger the best of luck serving the upper west side.

This is a busy but standard burger joint that is part of a chain named Bareburger. What's happened to the notion of a juicy burger nowadays? It serves something up for the health conscious with elk, bison and collard green wrappers instead of buns, but I am not a groundhog or a rabbit. When the tall server came over and eyed me suspiciously because maybe I just looked like someone not easily fooled or satisfied. After he walked away I got up and left. Bad vibes here.

Came here on a Friday and despite being short staffed the service was excellent and friendly. The Mules were so delicious and so was the food. The fried pickles were nicely battered and seasoned. The Brussel bowl was a large portion and tasty. Would definitely come back to try more things.

Just got a great delivery from Bareburger. Never ordered the Small Cali bowl before - it was delicious!

A huge disappointment!!!! From the person taking the delivery order incorrectly to getting the food delivered COLD, an hour and a half after we called in the order. I was very specific w my order. Impossible Burger w a lot of raw onion. I was ask if I wanted cheese, I said no because I am vegan. I also ask for extra packets of Mayo for my fries. Sooo, what I got was a burger w cheese (again, I am vegan and the cheese is melted on so no way to remove it!), grilled (not raw like I ask) onions and no Mayo. All for the pretty price of $45.00. What!!! Two cold burgers w sides of fries. Outrageous. Such a disappointment. I would not recommend.

I had two excellent burgers last night, the Wrangler and the Matador. The meat is terrific. Jason and Ruben took very good care of me as I sat at a table. The only reason I diidnt give 5 stars is that this place needs three things: 1. Coffee. I'm not an "iced tea with dessert" guy. If I'm having carrot cake or chocolate cake, I need coffee with it. 2. A television. I would have loved to have watched the College Football National Championship, and I imagine March Madness and Baseball season will be great viewing opportunities for burgers & beer. 3. Someone in marketing needs to put this place on the map in this neighborhood. I work out at the gym upstairs 4x a week and I completely overlooked this place. I was craving a burger last night and one of the employees at the gym reminded me about this place.

This was a terrible burger. I ordered a standard with caramelized onions. The burger was dry and really hard. The patty had been overly manipulated, making it tough. It was also overcooked. Because of the onions, I didn't taste that the meat was off until I had finished it, but the aftertaste told the story. Later on, I got sick from it.

Barebones Devore, VERY NOISY WITH ALMOST NO PATRONS. vaccination proof required of which I approve!. A very polite, pleasant, helpful ,young man was our server. I had a plain burger on a regular bun. With nothing.. I ordered it rare, it was medium. The bun was slathered with butter and some seasoning. It was rather small in comparison to other places (not fast food). several hours later, it is still repeating on me, and I feel nauseated. .I asked if they had Coke, they have their own "Cola"...rather flat and tasteless! my husband had a Wrangler burger which he said was edible. he had a 1/2 price small beer. $35.00 plus tip! we shall not return.

It was empty. No line. Still took 20 minutes to cook a burger. Still not here. Not sure what's up with this location... but this isn't my first time here... and my second bad experience. Update. They came... never got the order right. Combo medium burger with no drink. Just got a burger well done. No fries ...After 20 min. Yeah, nope. Live in the area, avoid this location.

We ordered dinner from Bareburger, only to get a "Delivered" text from DoorDash but no actual food at my door. I called Bareburger 20 minutes later and the team said that the food had been picked up, but to give them a call if it didn't show up soon. 15 more minutes... still no food so I called back. The manager, Jason, assured me that he would fix the issue with DoorDash immediately. DoorDash support called me within minutes to confirm with me that I still wanted the order and that they would rush our order back out. We finally got out before burgers about and hour and half late, but Jason and the Bareburger team went above and beyond even double checking with me that I received the re-order and threw in some extra fries. I don't often feel compelled to leave reviews on Yelp but I did want to say that they certainly put the customer first and went out of their way to make up for something that was totally out of their control. 5 stars for customer service!

Horrible delivery experience. First, we received the wrong order. Then it took 90 minutes to correct the order. When my wife called to find out where our food was, the employee HUNG UP on her. Screw this place. AVOID!

Foods ok and better prices than some other places in the area. They are still working out the kinks. Got the smokey blue and was pretty good. Sprout bun I wasn't a super fan of but think thats a preference not a criticism. Bacon was excellent, sauce was sweet and hot. Think I would have built it different but again preference. Our burgers came out with different levels of doneness so they do need to work on consistency. Mine was overdone so wasn't very juicy but toppings saved it. Fries and onion rings were excellent. Giving them a 4 instead of a 3 just because the staff was very attentive to all our concerns and tried to make everything right. They do need to work on consistency. The table next to us was raving about how good their food was so will give them a month and be back.

Great drink specials for happy hour. Kids loved the shakes and fries! We will be back.

Tonight ordered burger, fries and chocolate shake to go. Unfortunately, everything else was fine except for the chocolate shale which tasted stale, I became nauseous and sick to my stomach. I usually order at bareburger and never had problems in other location. This location is something else.

Stopped in randomly for a quick bite - I was impressed at the hospitality, the variety on the menu, and the quality of the food that came out. It's a great option if you have a group of health conscious and not so health conscious friends - there's something for everyone. Thought the keto bun was absolutely delicious and a very cool unique menu item.

Nice spot for a burger that won't break the bank. Appreciated the number of vegan options for my buddy that came in from out of town. I had the chicken sandwich myself which was quite good.

Definitely recommend this place. Great and attentive service, and a very nice dining room. We got a standard and a Blazin Bacon burger, the food came very fast. Blazin bacon was really good, the added spice from the jalapeños was a nice touch. Fries were also great. The burgers are a tad bit expensive for what you're getting but besides that a great place to check out.

This review is 100% about service and not food, and in case you don't want to read through it all, the TL;DR is that the staff treat people terribly. The food is great, right on par with all other Bareburgers I have been to. However, I was pretty upset by some behavior I saw from the staff. I ordered pickup through Grubhub, the pickup time was between 7:20-7:30, I arrived at 7:25 and was told my order would be ready in 2-3 minutes. While I was waiting for my food to arrive, a delivery guy (I believe from Door Dash) came in with a bag of food and started speaking with a woman I believe may have been the manager. While I couldn't hear every word, it seemed that a customer had been brought the wrong order. The woman began loudly berating the delivery man saying "No, it's your fault, you messed up." Then she literally shooed him away with a dismissive hand gesture while he was trying to rectify the situation. She did this repeatedly and she told him to leave and that he can't pick up orders from them anymore. Not only was she treating this man like he was subhuman, she was being obscenely rude to him in front of customers in the main dining area and having this loud verbal altercation. I was truly disgusted to see anyone treat another person this way. While all of this is going on, I realize it is now 7:45 and I still haven't been given my food. I ask about it again and I am handed a bag that has been sitting on the countertop for 15 minutes. I say to the person "so, this has just been sitting here even though I've been waiting this whole time?" and she (not the same woman who berated the delivery man) just shrugs and walks away. No apology, no attempt to make me feel like service mattered at all. I cannot say I would ever want to dine-in at this Bareburger or even support them at all after witnessing and experiencing such horrible service. Beware.

There is only one waitress named Alexis every time we come, but she works so hard and is really nice! Happy hour mules are great and are from 12-7. This is me and my girlfriends go to spot for drinks!

I have given this place a 2nd and 3rd chance but won't be back. NO MORE CHANCES. Service is horrible ( a big pet peeve of mine! ) and so is the food. And It's like no matter what all they want to do is sit in their booth near the reg. and chat. Not work. 1st time I went in - onion rings were ok but the burger bun and patty fell apart. So annoying. I expect more from a restaurant that's name has "burger" in it and they're all about the burger (or supposed to be.) 2nd time - Tried a different bun and different veggie patty and same thing happened.  Just fell apart and crumbled. Like who eats a burger this way?! Better yet - who makes one this way?! The onion rings were burnt and not that hot. UGH! I ordered a soda and got no refills (I'm sorry $4 for a soda? Ridicules!)  which they are supposed to provide. IF a waitress came to the table to ask if you need anything -this would have been nice. But none did. They were too busy chit chatting in their booth. No bill came to me - after waiting a really long time...I finally just went up to register to pay. 3rd and final time I went and will go - I ordered onion rings (burnt again and not really hot again and veggie nuggets not that hot. I ordered a soda too. Waitress brought food to my table and asked me if I needed anything else and  I said no and I guess in her mind that was her cue to be completely done with me as she was totally done with me..... After she deposited my food she went back to her booth to chit chat with her buddies/co-workies (not sure) and left me alone. Never came back to me to see how things are or if I needed a refill or needed anything else. I never got a bill. After waiting a bit and getting annoyed and having to leave I finally just went up front to pay and then the waitress said "thanks so much" like "ok you are going to tip me time". NOPE! I actually didn't tip at all, which for me is really hard. I work in a service industry and actually own my own company. So I take writing a review very seriously - during covid I was a HEAVY / DEEP tipper ....some people I would tip 30 to 40% because I know how hard it was out there making money and it was EXTREMELY hard for me financially too mind you. But I've been a generous tipper and I feel lately no one is even grateful for what they have or getting. I just spent $25 for nuggets, onion rings and a soda - to me that is a LOT of $$$ but ok Bareburger - sadly you dont feel that way. Clearly you dont feel that way. The manager didn't seem too interested when I called to complain which I had not done prior. Then put me on hold and said she talked with the manager (I mean come on - if you tell me you're the manager don't make crap up!)......Let me put it this way - I don't think this company cares about service or their bad food. To me Bareburger just thinks they're the popular cool kid in school and can't do anything wrong. Well I'm looking at your reviews -not all that good. And your tables-not filled. You can't pull off the attitude! Sorry! I am a vegetarian and maybe I allowed too many chances - and that is my bad. My money will be better spent at places that give me better service and food.). You can't even be present to leave an actual review. LOL WOW! I'm sorry If Covid taught me anything it's I will spend my very hard earned money at establishments who provide service in addition. I just have no tolerance whatsoever for this and I'm sorry just because we live in NYC is NO excuse for bad service. (I know that is what some people from other states say about us - we have crappy attitudes and bad service. But that simply isn't so.). I will repeat for you again and maybe you will absorb or not...I dont care. I will not be back. You could offer me a free meal. I don't care. BTW I was offered 20% when I called - I hung up. What a joke. There is a reason why you keep closing so many joints and changing locations like you change your clothes. No thank you! I will honor good old fashion mom and pop establishments who want my $$ and welcome by me by providing good service and food.

Meh... the bison burger meat was tough... I'd rather go to Mels Burgers near Columbia. These burgers truly aren't so hot. Disappointing. Also it took a long time... one burger was well done and they said that well done takes 15-20 minutes longer... really? I wish I'd been warned in advanced... my medium rare burger wasn't juicy even though it was pink. My friend thought her well done burger was just okay. This place could be so good- too bad they don't care enough like Mel's Burgers.
