"In this old 17C inn, a passion for gastronomy is shared with diners! Owner Christian Mutschler is always on hand, recommending and serving, but also sharing stories about the eventful history of the place. The no-frills food is tasty, and most of the ingredients come from the region. The game dishes are definitely worth trying – made with game hunted by the owner, they could hardly be fresher or more seasonal. At lunchtime, meanwhile, the menu is significantly pared down. The wine list is also dominated by Swiss labels, and there are plenty of good bottles to choose from. Be sure to make the most of the terrace and the great view it offers!" - Michelin Inspector

Outstanding gourmet experience. All plates were very tasty. Excellent game meat dishes, local fish, wine from the very same town and last but not least the porcini ice cream. We were truly amazed! Waitress was very friendly.

Mein Besuch im Restaurant Bären war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Die Speisen waren exquisit - frisch gejagt oder gefischt, was man an der Qualität sofort schmeckt. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich das Kalbskotelett, welches ich ohne Zweifel als das beste bezeichnen würde, das ich je gegessen habe. Der Service war herausragend; man hatte stets das Gefühl, dass die Mitarbeiter unsere Wünsche von den Lippen ablesen können. Man spürt die Leidenschaft, mit der hier gearbeitet wird, in jedem Detail. Ich war von der Kreativität und der Qualität des Essens begeistert und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch im Bären. Ein echtes kulinarisches Highlight!

Gemütliche, warme Gaststube im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Sehr gutes Essen, aussergewöhnliche Kreationen aus meist lokalen Produkten. Die Felchenleberli Vorspeise war ein Gedicht, die Eglifilets aus dem Greifensee an Safran-Knoblauchsauce mundeten wunderbar, einzig die Stragolapreti waren mir etwas zu kompakt. Auch Nachtisch und vor allem Kaffee waren lecker.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Bären und wir sind absolut begeistert. Das Essen lässt keine wünsche offen, abwechslungsreiche und regionale Spesekarte. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und wir wurden sehr herzlich und äusserst aufmerksam bewirtet. Wer ein schönes Ambiente & hervorragendes einzigartiges Essen liebt ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
