Highly recommend! I really like the concept of an elegant bar, with quality music, delicious food and a good wine list. I will certainly be back. First of all, make a reservation, the place is always full. The food was delicious. The menu is short but everything is very tasty. The atmosphere is elegant, romantic and cool. The service was top notch, everyone was kind, polite and very professional. I really had a great experience. Dress code: cocktail attire- smart casual The only observation is that on the day, one table in particular spoke very loudly, making it inconvenient for the others.

Wonderful drinks and the jazz was great. One issue and it may not be every night, but there were 3 or 4 tables that were loudly talking through the entire set. Usually, clubs will ask for respectful levels of discussion amongst tables or even silence during performance, so if that's your expectation, this may not be the place for you.

Came here for jazz on a Friday night. Made a reservation online. Music starts around 9, and they play 3 sets, you can stay for all the sets if you’d like. Great drinks and has a food menu ( limited selections from Fasano). Vibe, atmosphere and service are great. Recommend if you like Jazz, but want a bit more space to spread out, have drinks, and lounge a bit longer than most other venues. $25 per person for the jazz alone.

Amazing night, fantastic music (watch out to the program some great gems performing), cocktails and food not disappointing, we end up reordering and staying till midnight, we’ll definitely come back again !

The music is wonderful, and the atmosphere is sophisticated. It's a place to visit frequently. I loved it! The singer Denise Reis is fantastic, and all the musicians are outstanding! Drinks are marvelous!

Great spot for Jazz inside Fasano. Went to see a friend perform. Really good venue for music. Only had a snack and couple of drinks. The dishes are not inexpensive, so be prepared for that. Service was great from the time I walked in and the servers periodically checked to see if I wanted anything.

Baretto is a great venue for music lovers. The ambient is well decorated, very intimate and the music selection is curated with perfection. I have been in 3 different days during my stay in NY and each day the music program was different, but always amazing jazz,soul and R&B musicians! Food and drinks are also great! I totally recommend!

Extremely disappointed by our experience there. The interior design and premise are promising, but this place doesn't know what it wants to be. I was hoping for a sexy jazz supper club and got a tourist trap vaudeville experience with inattentive staff. Most of the tables talk loudly and often over the talent, and at multiple points patrons have their flash on while recording. Food wise, it's ok but the lobster risotto had little lobster to note or to justify the price point. The icing on the cake was after our server ignored us for most of our meal, when I finally did get our check he managed to lose my debit card and then instead of apologizing and offering to find it he insisted I never gave him two cards to begin with. The worst experience from beginning to end.

The service, food and restaurant were all great. Came here with some friends and we all ordered our own plates and tried bits from each. Everything was delicious. I ordered a glass of red blend wine which was delicious. I wish I got the name of it, but I'm sure when ordered again I can find it. I started with beef carpaccio which was delicious. My friend ordered the salad with pear and goat cheese which was also delicious. I tried the arugula salad and that one I thought was nothing special. The striped bass was delicious! It came in a sauce which was so so good and cooked perfectly. I also tried the halibut which was tasty, the king crab ravioli which was really fresh and the spinach ravioli was good as well. The beef tartar was a little too grainy for me. Overall we had a great time. The service is top notch and I will be returning. Oh and there's a jazz lounge upstairs which was great!!

Fasano Restaurant is a true gem with exceptional customer service from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, the hosts welcomed us warmly, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience. The bussers and cocktail water were attentive and kept our table neat throughout the meal. Our server, Genara L, was a standout, providing attentive and knowledgeable service that enhanced our evening. We felt as we were very valued customers of this beautiful establishment even though we've never been there before. The food was nothing short of exceptional, with each dish expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. As for our main course we opted in for ANATRA (Duck leg), IPPOGLOSSO (Halibut) and TORTELLI (veal ravioli). From the first bite to the last, every aspect of our meal was a delight, including delicious desserts. We had an incredible interaction with our cocktail waiter who made amazing drinks recommendations and had a great sense of humor. The atmosphere at Fasano Restaurant is truly beautiful, creating a dining experience that is both elegant and inviting. The decor is tastefully done, with attention to detail that adds to the overall charm of the restaurant. Another fantastic side of this place is that they have a Jazz Bar that's located on the 2nd floor called Baretto. It was an absolute pleasure to listen to talented Denise Reis. Her voice was outstanding! Whether you're enjoying a romantic dinner for two or a gathering with friends, the beautiful atmosphere enhances the dining experience and makes it a place you'll want to return to again and again. We will definitely be returning to Fasano restaurant and Baretto Jazz Bar for another memorable dining experience when we are back to New York City.

This restaurant had a classy and refined atmosphere. The service was slow, which was a bit disappointing. The food was good but was nothing special. There are better restaurants that have more attentive staff and amazing food, but if you are looking for a "fancy" Italian restaurant, this is the place for you. Not pictured in my review: Tortina della Nonna (which was very good, wasn't too sweet)

This dish is Delicious! A must have. The sauce, the pasta, it is all Elite Eats!! Highly Recommended!

We came here on a Saturday night for dinner with two other couples. Upon checking in we first walked through the bar area which was quite large and completely empty. The restaurant itself was more lively but still didn't seem packed. Service was quick and attentive throughout the evening. For dinner I started with the Insalata di Carciofi and for my main I had the Pollo. My salad was great as was the Paccheri alla Fasano that we ordered for the table, but my chicken was lacking. I can't say exactly what was wrong with the chicken except that the flavor was off and I really deeply did not enjoy it. My husband ordered the Gnocchi and the Ossobuco which were both delicious and he generously shared with me. Would come back here but would not order the chicken.

Went there for a quick lunch. I work nearby so it was great to find a new spot of such high quality both in terms of food but also service. The service was very attentive, but we were allowed to have a conversation and order at our own pace. We ordered the prefix menu and both started with octopus - cooked very tenderly and accompanied with a chickpea paste. Entree was the Mediterranean seabass fillet, and it was served on top of vegetables. The vegetables are well cooked, crunchy and accompanied the fish very well. The fish itself was cooked perfectly with a crisp skin and very tender flaky meat. I highly recommend this place.

When Michelin Guide announced a list of restaurants up for awards in New York, it was no surprise that Fasano made the list. Fasano is the epitome of fine dining specializing in Northern Italian cuisine! Tip - Finish off your night with a cocktail and a live jazz show at Baretto, an elegant bar perched above the restaurant.

Best meal of 2023. Was here around the opening and have been back 3 times since. This is the place to be. It's New York of old, but all modern and present day. The food is perfect, but be careful, the portions are enormous and best shared. The Milanese is the size of a table. Even the salad was enough to feed 3 people. I simply love the restaurant and the long wide hallway from the bar to the dinning area. There's also a semi secret jazz spot upstairs which I almost don't want to mention cause it's still possible to get in... at least for now.

Vibe here is fantastic. Very calming and aesthetic. Got the halibut entree during lunch, I was a little disappointed that it was just halibut over citrus slices without a carb. Their delicious focaccia bread was a good compliment though. The pistachio pudding dessert was mediocre, there wasn't much pistachio taste. The restroom is part of the hotel one floor up, and it is beautiful.

Found this restaurant on Resy which was featuring a Baretto music performance by Hilary Cole upstairs. The ambiance was great- very high class place for sure, but the waiters were very considerate and understanding and tried to make us feel comfortable. One thing we ordered was the burrata- really good, really creamy with walnuts. Best thing I ever tasted as an appetizer. For main course, we got the ofelle ossobucco and ravioli granseola, both great. I tried the Darjeeling tea(my first time), and it was surprisingly good! The bathrooms are hugeee.

This place blew away my expectations. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Champagne and wine were so good. I got the steak and it was probably the best I have ever had. It was melt in your mouth and cooked to perfection. The tiramisu was also heavenly. Afterward ms, our group was escorted up to the jazz club. They had live music going with our group loved. The hostess was less than polite, but the rest of front of house more than made up for it. It's expensive, but if you are looking for a fancy night out in midtown, look no further.

I'M HERE TO TAKE YOUR COCKTAIL ORDER. But you just dropped the menu, can you give me a minute, what if I want wine or beer, can you please give me another minute. [The server stands over me, looming, pressuring] Can you please give me a moment to decide? DO YOU WANT ME TO COME BACK. Yes, please, I just sat down, I need a minute. OKAY... {Then the server shoves the food menu in my hands right on top of the beverage menu that I was still trying to read in order to choose a drink.} {A few minutes later a different server pushes and shoves and rearranges the lamp and the flowers and our water glasses and our cocktail glasses to make room for a huge glass bread basket on the far end of our table.} You just moved everything further away from us so now we have to reach over everything to the opposite side of the table to get bread? OH, SORRY. HERE IS YOUR KING CRAB RAVIOLI DO YOU WANT FRESH CRACKED BLACK PEPPER? I haven't tasted it yet. DO YOU WANT FRESH CRACKED BLACK PEPPER? May I please taste the food first to see if it needs seasoning? OKAY. [The server stands over me, looming, pressuring.] No, thank you... HERE IS YOUR VEAL TORTELLI DO YOU WANT GROUND PARMESAN? I don't know, I haven't tasted it yet, can you please give me a minute to taste it to see if I want additional seasoning? DO YOU WANT PARMESAN? Sure, I guess, please, can you put it on the side? THE SIDE?! UH, OKAY?! {Then they brought the duck which was absolutely incredible all around.} {Then they brought the lamb which I ordered medium-rare closer to rare but arrived medium-well closer to well, which because the side dishes were all so wonderful that I would have eaten the lamb just to be polite if it weren't drowning in what tasted like burnt dry pistachio flour and raw watery limoncello and/or ouzo, resulting in a gummy chalky burnt licorice aftertaste and texture which made this the only dish I've sent back in ages, and I didn't want them to bring me a replacement dish, I was DONE.) {Waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for the check, I mentioned to a food runner (who continually smashed into servers and customers while holding heaping trays of food over his head, a disaster waiting to happen) that my water glass had never once been refilled, and it had been empty for at least twenty to twenty five minutes, and I would love a glass of water please before walking to the subway...} WE WANT YOU TO HAVE THESE DESSERTS ON THE HOUSE WE TRY OUR BEST TO MAKE YOU HAPPY WE WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY THIS IS THE NONNA CAKE THIS IS SIGNATURE TIRAMISU HERE IS SOME LIMONCELLO. {We finished eating and drinking, paid the check, tipped more than 20%, and asked where is the bathroom} DOWN THERE {We walked down a long hallway, into a room, down a hallway, up a staircase; around a discreet corner there was a door marked MEN which unfortunately opened to a room with two urinals surrounded by urine everywhere, so we just left.} --This is a stunning facility which sadly seems to have hired waitstaff from pushy touristy "turn & burn" "date night" restaurants... it's priced like fine-fining but it isn't, it doesn't matter that they're new because their waitstaff are very seasoned just not to the environment or atmosphere that Fasano very obviously spent an absolute fortune trying to create, but I did indeed feel that everyone was sincere & genuine, but requires heavy-polishing.--

Lovely Park Avenue Italian (with Brazilian overtones). We had the yellow fin tuna tartare and grilled Spanish octopus as apps - both were flavorful and lovely as were several of the truffle pasta dishes. The veal ossobucco and the grilled king Scottish langoustine were incredibly good entrees, highly recommend!

Amazing, moody ambiance. Service was formal but very friendly. We had made dinner reservations for Osteria but ended up sitting in the Main Restaurant as the menu looked more interesting and as Osteria looked a little relatively empty. Loved the menu, which had an extensive selection of classic seafood, pasta, and meat dishes - very similar to what you would find at a nice restaurant in Italy. The veal tonnato was one of the best I've had and we greatly enjoyed our spaghetti chitarra. Definitely check out the bathrooms when you are here! The urinals in the men's room were a work of art.

5 Stars for the Service - And 5 Stars for the Ambiance...I so enjoyed the scene and the company that I was in, I had little time to eat. I'd be very surprised if the food here isn't as spectacular as the service and decor. I think each table has their own butler/waiter as there are only 5 or 6 tables. And, the address doesn't get better than this in NYC.

My wife and I had dinner yesterday. Beautiful sexy room with great seating. Horrible food. My wife had tuna tartare that tasted old, not fresh.Paccheri pasta with tomato sauce tasted gummy. She ordered the halibut which was very dry and overcooked and sent back. Followed by Seabass, which tasted old, not fresh very bad dish. For me, I have to say the Vitello Tonnatto was sensational. Followed by crab stuffed pasta, which was OK. Followed by duck which was dry, and tasted old as if it had been left in the kitchen. Considering how beautiful we thought the room was this was an extremely disappointing experience. Something needs to happen in the kitchen. We won't return. On the other hand, we went upstairs to Barreto, the jazz club, and had a sensational experience with a great Brazilian musical act. We'll return to Barreto and pass on the restaurant. Go figure!

Went here for a Valentine's day dinner with the pre-fixe menu. The waiters were very pushy to order drinks, asking us a handful of times before we even got a chance to open the menu. The waiters forgot the appetizer as part of the pre-fixe, and had to be reminded twice, and only brought it out right before the main course was ready. A couple next to me ordered drinks and has to remind them multiple times throughout the night as well before they were brought out. The food was very mediocre, as were the drinks. To top it off, there was a 20% included gratuity that they did not earn and an extra charge that was included in the check that could not be accounted for.

Gorgeous, sophisticated establishment with fantastic food and service. The Veal Milanese was definitely a standout. We had such a wonderful time here, highly recommend.

Went there as part of a foursome just to have an after dinner drink which turned out to be two bottles of expensive red wine. Big fun at our table. I really liked the ambiance there...sleek, Italian, sophisticated and very Manhattan. Also the location is midtown where few dinner options are available on weekend nights when the business workers have gone off.

Just a wonderful sharing lunch today with great people made even better by Chris who took wonderful care of us and made a good meal better. Can't wait to take my husband for lunch and go to Barbetta upstairs.

Never again terrible experience! The restaurant was beyond empty and the service was mediocre at best. I don't see this place staying open for longer than a year.

Overall horrible experience & went in with very high hopes. Literally never write reviews but this is maybe the worst dining experience I have ever had (and paid $225 a person for NOT including drinks btw). Went for Valentine's Day, didn't get seated until 30 minutes past our reservation time, it was fine they gave us glasses of complimentary champagne we didn't really care about the wait at this point, it's a busy holiday so understandable. We get seated and are given menus, then don't have any servers approach us for 45 minutes & had to flag down someone to finally order drinks. We finally get drinks & order our food and it took 35-40 minutes in between courses! The food was mediocre for the most part, the fish I ordered was not cooked correctly and the rice dish was also undercooked. The service was not attentive at all and despite not being the last people seated we were the last in the restaurant because of how long it took to bring out each course. Ambiance was nice & upscale so I had high expectations but was overall a HUGE disappointment and I would never recommend anyone to go here for how pricey it is. It seemed like every couple near us was also unhappy with the restaurant between the service/wait times so did not seem to be an isolated incident for just us.

One of my favorite places in NY! Held an event there and everything was fantastic, cannot wait to be back!

We needed a new place in the area and this is it. The entrance is a little hidden but once you are on the ambience is pleasant. My expresso martini was right in line with what I needed for a liquid lunch. The risotto with short ribs was cooked to perfection. Each dish had a beautiful presentation. Bread was super fresh. Surprisingly large portions for apps. I couldn't finish my tuna tartare, the sauce was off the hook! The Nona cake tasted a little eggy but otherwise the service was superb. I will definitely be back to try out the other dishes

Atmosphere was corporate, after hours. The vibe was elegant but older. Food was ok, service was fantastic.

I've had the good fortune of dining in a number of the world's best restaurants....in New York as well as Europe, Asia and Latin America. Without question, Fasano ranks in the top three - as good or better than the original Four Seasons in New York, La Grenouille, even the original Le Cirque. The food is superb, the ambiance is elegant - and quiet enough so that you can hear your dinner companions, and the prices are not outrageous.

One of the best -- had a great pasta dish. Good for meetings or small dinners. Plan on coming back soon.

Great place and elegant ambience! Superb service! Spent the birthday of my friend there and ano Tj er one wants to go also.

The steak was tender but undercooked for two in our party. One said it was not medium rare but blue. The two who order seafood were happy with their selection. My advice, be clear with your waiter what you want your steak to look like. I asked for pink, but I got red. The chocolate dessert was a hit. Appetizers were good including the arugula salad.

We came here for our anniversary. In order to get to the dining room you have to past thru the bar lounge. The lounge is huge and beautiful. You go thru a corridor and you see this outrageous and stunning dining room. That was the only good thing about this place. It seem like to communicate with the waitress and other staff members that was very difficult. My wife order the chicken and some of it was still bloody. I order a seafood meal which completely salty that the next day my upper mouth was sore. I order a house chardonnay wine glass for my wife. They pour no more the 2 oz in her glass ( I once was a bartender) they charge us $ 26 for this. What a rip off! They were quick too hand us the check. At this point we were glad to leave. For a very highly upscale restaurant this food is average. The only thing I would recommend at this place is to stop for a drink in the bar lounge because it is very romantic.

Elegant decor, attentive, professional waiters. Expensive but quality is expensive. I had seafood risotto. Delicious. I recommend this for a special occasion celebration.

Loved our celebratory family dinner here. We decided to go family-style and order dishes from each course to share and it worked out superbly. Our favorites were the Burrata w/fig salad, the lobster fettucine, and the osso bucco but every dish was magnificent. Drinks were delicious and the wine they recommended was spot on!

I had an amazing experience at Fasano. The service is beyond impeccable. I also had the best risotto I have ever had in my life as well as the best veal Milanese and polenta. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Please try it out - you will not be disappointed. It is definitely worth the price. I highly recommend.

As a vegetarian I was severely disappointed. I asked for vegetarian options which at most Italian places are plentiful. I was pointed to the 3 things on the menu which were the only items...No appetizers, only salads and pastas and no "seconds...". No matter ..I ordered what I thought should be a slam dunk ...pasta with their "three tomato" sauce. It was abjectly aweful. Ragu out of the bottle would have been better. Won't go back.

What a fabulous, serene and sophisticated place. Joined my friend for dinner in the Osteria last night and loved the experience and food. Pricey, yes, however I definitely feel the value is there given the food quality and the attentive and friendly service. Super chic room, and I loved the seafood spaghetti and tuna tartare I ordered. One of the few NYC dinners I've had of late where I felt really taken care of and felt I could really unwinds and enjoy. My new midtown place! And don't forget dessert, even the simple gelato was divine!

Don't order the entrees. The appetizers and risotto are the best options. Service and bread were good.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the cocktails were good. That said, the food was nothing great and definitely not worth the prices they charge. I probably would not go back.

I try get a job in this place ( Fasano Restaurant NY ) and the general manager Alessandro not even interview myself or discussed anything but took me to HR to do paper work without discussing payment , benefits or the hours , he said I look responsible . When I try introduce myself to the AGM piedro he turned his back and walk away , asked me to text him but so unfriendly obviously made very bad first impression . Was pretty obvious they had a different agenda . Treating people with respect and communication is key . Please be aware everyone about employment with Fasano I never been treated so bad and disrespectfully like that ever when looking for a job . obviously I quit before even started who want's to work for people like that

Not enough vegetarian options! Delicious cocktails, and i'm sure most of the food would be delicious, but I was unable to try it. I understand that brazilian food is not very vegan friendly, but since this restaurant is in NYC, they should have at least one vegan option on the menu! I am very disapointed by the lack of options for me here. I hope they will change their menu so that I can come back.
