Bargo - Review - Walthamstow - London - The Infatuation

"What do you get if you cross an All Bar One with the maple syrup french toast of your sugar-coated Sunday cravings? Bargo. This casual day-to-night brunch spot and bar has found its calling—the noble art of creating and then curing hangovers. At the weekend, its exposed brick, loft-look space is permanently packed out with Walthamstow locals, some nursing a cappuccino and a new baby, others nursing the consequence of that second bottle of white wine with a bloody mary and some expertly poached eggs. No matter which life choices have led you here, it’s an easy back-pocket spot for a smashed avocado fix if you’re in the area. Always utter the magic words “and the french toast for the table”. It’s gloriously sweet, covered in crunchy hazelnuts, and we approve of Bargo’s OTT approach to maple syrup." - Heidi Lauth Beasley

I was pleasantly surprised how good this place was. I was with a friend, we both had the sea bass, a good size piece plus potatoes, tomatoes and chopped black olives, It was delicious. The wine was good, the back ground music was good, not too loud but you could hear it. The service and the atmosphere were great. We would go again and I would recommend.

A beautiful surprise! Situated in the heart of Walthamstow village, it has a great atmosphere, excellent service and a mouth watering menu of small plates. Our only regret was not being able to try more dishes. Somewhere we will definitely return to. A great selection of cocktails, beers, wines and spirits. Good for a quick bite, or an evening of drinks and food. Highly recommend

Lovely place for drinks and a few nibbles. Cocktails were fab, and all the food was good -apart from the arancini that just didn't work for me!! Fab staff and they've really made a gorgeous space.

This is a great gem in the walthamstow area. Food was delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive. Food and cocktails came out fast. Highly recommend chicken skewers, we also had meatballs, arincini, truffle fries and halloumi all of it was good. The food won't blow you away but it's all enjoyable, cannot complain. Decent value for money also, lots of picky bits and lovely cocktails.

Had a great time here last weekend and wanted to encourage others to go as the place was undeservedly quiet for a Saturday night. The cocktails were top draw, the food was delicious, and we loved that we could order lots of small plates to try different things. I also have to mention the staff who were friendly and attentive and moved our booking around at short notice. An all round great experience!

atmosphere music and food is great. A warm place to sit at any time of the day. sincere and simple. like the old places you miss. And of course, if you want to try original cocktails, you should definitely go.

It's a spectacular place to meet up with friends, but the prices are exaggeratedly high for quantities. Burger 18.50 + £3 per bacon Barrel Beer 6.50 Half Beer 4.5

A hidden gem in Walthamstow! Bargo is such a great spot - stylish, welcoming, and buzzing with good vibes. The drinks are fantastic (cocktails especially!), and the staff are super friendly and attentive. It’s perfect for a night out with friends or a casual catch-up, try their brunch dishes and don’t forget the tiramisu! A real local favourite - highly recommend checking it out!
