Great restaurant in a good location with a terrific menu. Food was very good. Outdoor seating was nice l. Service was terrific.

Google
the most unassuming spots usually have the most authentic foods and Bari167 is no exception. The food, service and atmosphere almost transports you to Italy. For anyone looking for some good Italian food, I definitely recommend this spot.

I wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was the worst meal I’ve had in a while. My friend also mentioned to me unprompted, that he regretted trying this place. The pizzas were bland and lacked anything special having no character. This might’ve been the first time I had to salt my pizza. The dough tasted like cardboard, and the texture was hard and dense instead of crispy and flaky. No puffiness. No charring from the oven. It was also cold. The carbonara was also far removed from any carbonara I’ve had in Italy but the real problem was the taste. The taste profile was bland, flat and overall felt rubbery. Neither of us could finish it. At least the pasta itself was cooked well. the service throughout was attentive and friendly. I’m just disappointed in the food experience, especially given the price point.

About one of the best Italian restaurants in Stamford. I just love this place. The setting is friendly and intimate and the food is spectacular. Portions are good and it’s great value. Big Mike is a big gentleman that just loves his restaurant and loves seeing his clients enjoy their experience. This will be a regular spot for us. You will not be disappointed.

Google
I ate the best grilled trout ever(from special menu). The place is small but cozy, the atmosphere and decor are great, 100% Italian, with a scent of Bari.

Google
Love this place! It’s my go to Italian restaurant. Their focaccia bread is delicious with olives and grape tomatoes baked in. You can’t go wrong with any of the pasta dishes. The inside is cozy with decor that makes you feel like your eating in the streets of Rome or Naples. And in the summer they have outdoor seating which is great.

Google
Something about this place I just love. I'm traveling here on business, but it's just a simple, understated, classic, delicious food, no frills. Any staff that I encountered was incredibly pleasant (including the owner / onsite manager) . My pizza reminded me of something I'd get in Bolzano. I'll likely come back for the calamari before my trip is over, it looked authentic, in terms of large rings and light batter, like the cones you'd get in Europe.

Google
I tried Bari167 on a recent trip to Stamford. Having lived in Stamford before, I was excited to try this new (for me) restaurant. Overall my experience was ok, I would probably give them a 3.5 if I could. The restaurant itself is small, so if you're a claustrophobic - it's not for you. Service was good, nothing over the top, nothing horrible. I thought the food was ok. I started with the Calamari. The calamari was surprisingly tender for how large there rings were. I thought the dish needed a little salt and the presentation was very old school - sitting on a leaf of lettuce. For me I would have expected more from a $16 appetizer. Next I had the Beet Salad - Mixed greens topped with roasted beets, sliced almonds, pickled onions, and chickpeas. I was disappointed by the salad - I felt it was a little over-dressed and I was surprised by the beets. First, they were not the main attraction and second, for roasted beets, they felt like they were canned/jarred beets. There was alot going on with this salad, and nothing stood out as special. Lastly, I had the Margherita Pizza - tomato sauce, fresh mozzerella and basil. The pizza didn't lack in fresh mozzarella, but that was the highlight of the pizza. The crust was just ok - a bit bland and I would have used a different flour in making the dough. It looked nice, but lacked any character. With an abundance of Italian restaurants in town, I will probably not return.

Yelp
Always going to give a review for Bari167. The food is great. ( had a lunch panni today with broccoli rabe, chicken and muzz and. Side of homemade potato chips). The service is always an efficient and welcoming. The ambiance is small but mighty. Came here today when the "other Italian place" was chaotic and the music too loud. Come to Bari!!

Yelp
Food: Altamura Pizza ($20): A nice mix of meat and veggie toppings including sausage, meatballs, mushrooms, peppers, pepperoni, and onions; otherwise a fairly standard quality pizza; decent value Squid Ink Fettuccine ($26): Classic seafood pasta dish done well with shrimp, calamari, mussels, and of course fettuccine; maybe could have been a bit more flavorful but still standard quality Ambiance: The most special part of this restaurant is that the interior is decorated like a real restaurant in Italy, with brick walls and tons of interesting little decorative pieces here and there. The space is not all that big, but is cozy (also helps that the front opens up toward the outdoor seating area). Service: The staff are pretty friendly and the service speed is decent. There was a guy with a shirt saying "Big Mike" who seemed to constantly be monitoring the place which was a bit odd but I suppose he was just the boss keeping tabs on his restaurant. Overall: Average quality food but nice Italian-inspired environment. Would recommend if you are in the Stamford area and interested in Italian food.

Yelp
I've gotten Taglio pizza here before and it was awesome! This was my first time ordering entrees. The food here is delicious and fresh. I love the quality of the pasta. The portions are fair and they have many options on the menu. They have outdoor seating which is very nice. We ordered penne alla vodka, arancini, and my husband ordered the fettuccine with meat sauce. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We order from Bari several times a month. It's both great for a casual dining experience and perfect for takeout! It reminds me of the local Italian place I grew up with, always there when you need it! Great tomato sauce, we love the strombolis, the beet salad with grilled chicken, pasta fagioli soup, and pizzas!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here to try a different taste of pizza and I was amazed how it came out. The meat lover pizza was delicious the meat was perfectly cooked and the crust was nice and crunchy the way I like the tomatoes sauce was amazing. The salad was delicious as well. The waiters was very pleasant and made me very happy with the service.

Yelp
My first time here and everything was great. Sat outside on a beautiful night had the veal piccata, asked if they could add artichoke hearts, which they did. You can get it with a mixed vegetable or pasta, but I really wanted broccoli rabi and was able to get that as well. Very accommodating. So delish

Yelp
I remember when they opened - this small little slice of a restaurant on Bedford Street in Stamford CT. When they first opened there were not many customers, but now... they're smokin!! And deservedly so. I know this is going to sound a bit strange, but I love coming here for the sauteed broccoli rabe. Dont get me wrong - everything Ive ever eaten here I've LOVED, but, seriously, nobody in this area makes a better, more consistent dish of broccoli rabe - not bitter, perfectly done. It's actually a side, but I usually order it as an app. Then i'll get the orechetti with sausage... mmmmmm.... which, of course, is made with the broccoli rabe.... Yeah, I'm nuts... Just ask DJ.

Yelp
Small place but amazing food ! Pasta / Chicken Marsala/ Wedges/ Salads - all fresh and delicious! Love this place for eat in or takeout....

Yelp
Great happy hour, the food is consistent. Service was great, and the ambiance is cute Italian cafe. Desserts are out of this world!

Yelp
Our food was prepared to order. My mother ordered the Salmon with cannellini beans, mushrooms, and spinach. I had the bronzino. Both plates were delicious. Better than that, though, our waitress, Olivia, was kind and patient.

Claire T.

Yelp
Grazie Mille! Mark & I just moved here...we discovered it while walking down the street after dinner and decided to pop in for dessert and a cappuccino. Everyone was so kind that we returned the next day for dinner. It was incredible! Big Mike's homemade focaccia is his mother's recipe and it is to die for. The pasta dishes and fish dishes are delightful. Portions are sizable. I really recommend you try the marinated artichokes appetizer, as well. Everything we've tried here is so fresh and delicious. The staff makes you feel right at home! We are planning to make this one of our regular stops! Arrivederci

Yelp
Delicious! We've been here several times and the food is consistently delicious. They have an extensive menu of pastas, pizza, wedges, and more. We've had their fettuccine bolognese, squid ink fettuccine, and meatball wedge. They mentioned all of their pasta dishes can be made gluten free and they'd switch out the pasta. They also have gluten free pizza. The wait staff is always very friendly and the atmosphere transforms you to an Italian cafe. The outdoor seating is very pleasant, too.
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
Delicious!!! Small and intimate location. Our server was knowledgeable and helped me pick a delicious gluten free dish. The owner even came to our table to greet us.
google avatar

Ben S.

Yelp
Food was just OK nothing great. My wife and I ordered the chicken Marsala and the sauce was too sweet. My sister-in-law got the eggplant rolitini and did not like it either. On the positive side the service was very good. However due to the food cannot recommend. There are so many great Italian restaurants in Stamford, you can do better elsewhere.

Yelp
Second time visiting this tiny Italian place in the middle of restaurant row in Stamford. We have decided it is the best Italian of the lot of them, though we are also fond of Remo's. This one is a couple steps up in quality and flavor, service is always great. Meatball wedge for lunch, the soups anytime, and last night we had the veal and some pasta with short rib ragu that was outstanding. Nice work by the kitchen team and service alike. The only thing about this place is how tiny it is: This can be leveraged more to make it more cozy I think (just a bit cold).

Yelp
Bari167 is a fantastic little restaurant in the middle of downtown Stamford. The service was great, everyone was friendly and accommodating. I got the chicken scarp and it was delicious will definitely come back to try more.

Yelp
Went here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and wasn't disappointed. It's a small space so it was a little loud since it was packed but the decor was very charming and reminded me of a place I would find in the Italian section of Providence, Federal Hill. It felt authentic and the food proved it was. Everything was delicious, even the pizza. I would just add some olive oil and hot cherry peppers to the calamari. But that's a RI thing. The staff was also very accommodating and friendly. Definitely worth visiting and I'll be back again soon for sure.

John C.

Yelp
I've lived in Stamford for a long time, but I only recently discovered Bari167. I haven't sat down to eat there, but their delivery service has been awesome. The food is always very good (love the chicken scarp!) and it's delivered quickly. I've been ordering delivery multiple times a week, and I've only had one meal that I didn't really enjoy. Overall - this place is great and I'm glad I found a consistently delicious place to order from.

Yelp
Michael and the crew are the best. Michael devi dare un'occhiata a Naples, in Florida, trova posto per un buon ristorante, ci vediamo presto quando visiterò di nuovo Simona e Joe! ! !
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
The staff was wonderful. The location was lovely. The wine is affordable. The food lacked flavor. Maybe it's me. I haven't had a good Italian meal in Stamford (except for Silvium, which is incredible). Will this place serve its purpose and fill you up? Sure. But the flavor needs to be dialed up a notch.
google avatar

Charmaine P.

Yelp
SO delicious! Even with so many other Italian spots on Bedford Street, I'd still pick Bari as my first choice. They are a smaller spot so be sure to make a reservation or come early to get a table on their patio. Highly recommend their espresso martini and pizzas. Definitely make room for dessert - their tiramisu and lobster tails are incredible!
google avatar

Audrey C.

Yelp
This is a cute spot right in the heart of DT Stamford. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the ambiance is intimate. There were so many options for food i wanted to try but i guess that means I need to keep coming back
google avatar

Jeffy M.

Yelp
The service here is good and I like the setting of this restaurant. But to be honest the food is not very good. I had a panini which was just not good. Maybe some other things on the extremely large menu are better, but not from my experience.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this little gem completely by accident. The food is fresh, well priced and delicious with generous portions. The hot loaf of bread served when you sit down is heavenly. All of the pasta dishes are cooked perfectly and the sauces are delicious. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy. The wait staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. It has now turned into a favorite of ours. Definitely worth a try if you are in Stamford.

Michelle W.

Yelp
First time here...Get ambiance & food! The owner Anthony came by several times to check on us!!! The food was amazing! We'll be back

Vinayak V.

Yelp
To be honest, we left home to have lunch at Capriccio. But there was a waiting period there and we had two hungry kids with us. Bari167 was just two doors down and we decided to give it a go. Pros: Less noisy Readily available seating once Capriccio & Luckys fill up Good size tables and umbrellas and stable flooring (half of the tables at Capriccio wobble) Decent food Cons: Service leaves a lot to be desired (lady who took my order for appetizers was wiping glasses while I waited for someone to take my Main Course order. I even tried to signal her twice) Food is nothing special Lack of cocktail choices I would say, if you are out in the summer on a good day and hungry and capriccio & Luckys are full - do give Bari 167 a try. Or if you don't like the noisy atmosphere at Capriccio, Bari 167 has the exact same food a couple of doors down.
google avatar

Peter B.

Yelp
The pizza was very good and the atmosphere reminds us of a small cafe in Italy.
google avatar

Anita M.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! I just had lunch here with two of my boys. Beautiful and cozy little place with great Christmas decorations. We loved the mussels, the pizza, and the eggplant parmesan.
google avatar

Ed A.

Yelp
Absolutely the most authentic, delicious and perfect Orecchiette alla Barese anywhere with the possible exception of Bari. Superb.

Yelp
My husband and I were visiting family in CT from NY. We were hungry and in the mood for Italian food so I yelped Italian restaurants on our way back home. Bari167 looked interesting , I liked that it had tons of good reviews but it was also a small and cozy. We got to the restaurant while the tree lighting event was going on, so we were lucky to get a table. We were greeted with a genuine smile and seated right away. We started with martinis Coffee and Apple (not on the menu but made for me) - delicious. My seafood risotto was the BEST I have had in the US and my husband's cutlet wedge sandwich was fresh and so tasty. Mike the owner came to great us, which I am not used to - what a kind, funny, attentive boss. My husband and I watched him not only greet everyone but help his staff clean tables..wow! We even had the opportunity to sing a long time customer happy birthday with the ENTIRE restaurant. We felt like family. The restaurant makes you feel like you are truly in Italy, the decor, the food, the drinks, the customer service and having such an attentive owner. My husband and I have joined the family. We will gladly drive the hour to go back, over and over again.
google avatar

Nigel B.

Yelp
Good food, only had delivery so cant speak on the ambiance. Some of the best pizza I've had in Stamford

Pat H.

Yelp
This was the worst pizza I ever tasted. The crust was disgusting, there was very little sauce and to make matters worse I found a nice long black hair bake into the pie. We ordered chicken wings which were soggy and gross. It came with 2 carrot slices which were warm and mushy. The bed of lettuce they were set on was wilted and brown. I will never order from there again
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
Ordered takeout here, which I rarely do because no matter the restaurant, the food never tastes as good as it does there. Today was one of those rare occasions, and having eaten there a few times I knew the food was great, so I gave it a try. I was NOT disappointed! I ordered a calzone and was amazed how good it was. It was hot which is not something I expect with delivery, and tasted incredible. Probably the best I've ever had!

Salome K.

Yelp
Delicious cuisine, amazing cleanliness, kindest server.. I recommend you to everyone who loves Italian cuisine..

Helen D.

Yelp
Wonderful food...a definite place to dine at. Wonderful wait staff. I was visiting in the Stamford area and my family recommended this place...better than the over-priced restaurants we dined at in NYC! Ambiance was comforting, warm and charming.
google avatar

Rachel B.

Yelp
Food is very good but extremely overpriced.. over $5 for a plain slice of pizza? The pizza was quite delicious, though.
google avatar

Jessie M.

Yelp
Always delicious, prompt & friendly service! Always feels like I'm with family in bar167
google avatar

William M.

Yelp
On several occasions I have had delivery issues with this restaurant. This service that they "Chow Now" makers numerous mistakes. My latest issue was the delivery was missing part of my order. When I call Barri 167 they make no attempt to help with the problem. They blame it on the delivery service. It's then up to me to track down Chow Now otherwise Barri 167 is powerless to remedy the situation or provide a refund. Complete nonsense. I cannot recommend ordering take out from this restriction.
google avatar

Anna Z.

Yelp
Beautiful place, delicious food. Friendly place, social scene. Great addition to the Stamford scene.

Frank M.

Yelp
The food was fabulous, nice atmosphere for a date night or hanging in the bar. A nice surprise for the area, priced fairly. I highly recommend

Mario A.

Yelp
Great pizza and great service. Small but cozy venue. Server was friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back.

Not P.

Yelp
Love this place, servers are great and food is wonderful and perfectly priced! But the atmosphere is not worth the visit. Was looking forward to a lovely evening but with all the constant loud mufflers, cars with loud speakers and a mass of Harley's going up Bedford street, it was a waste of money. I have no idea why the restaurant owners don't Insist the Stamford police monitor this noise pollution and give out tickets. Zero tolerance is needed. And yes, it's noise pollution and against the ordinances the city has. I love the outdoor city vibe but this was beyond anything I've ever seen. NYC is quieter than Bedford st. Shame in Stmfd police for not addressing this.

Jonathan P.

Yelp
A nice little place to either grab a quick bite or sit down at a restaurant. Coffee is always fresh and Italian pastries are good too. Recommend the seafood risotto.

Brian B.

Yelp
The servers are all very friendly here. They pride themselves on the quality of their food and quick service. I dine here often and they are very personable and friendly. This is hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Entrees, antipasto, and desserts are superb. No complaints at all!!

Annemarie B.

Yelp
The food, service and drinks were amazing. We sat inside, super cute! Like little Italy

Jenna A.

Yelp
Everything is wonderful and authentic. The food is delicious and pick up is always accurate. The most important part is the owner and staff are kind and welcoming. Highly highly recommend.

Jayson D.

Yelp
Horrible Business Model. Do not order from this restaurant, they don't value their customers. I order thru GrubHub for PICKUP. When I arrived to pick up my food, they charged me a 30% markup because "Yeah, Grubhub charges us for orders." So you're going to pass the burden on to your customers??? Congratulations, I hope the extra 11 dollars you got from me is worth me highly recommending to family, friends, people in general never eat there.

Joseph R.

Yelp
Had a very nice sangria, asparagus appetizer was a little on the soggy side. Fried pizza was soaked in grease and not very appetizing. Service was friendly though
