"East is the OG of Nashville’s Barista Parlors. Go for the coffee, leave with it and the breakfast in your eternal waking daydreams. Think Bourbon-Vanilla Lattes and exotic espresso. Crisp yet fluffy, to-die-for biscuits piled high with egg, sausage, cheese and marmalade. Thousand-layer donuts and macaroons tease from behind glass. Plates overflow with cheddar eggs (perfectly peppered) the best bacon and duh, a biscuit. The mad scientists here are as well-rounded in eats as they are in coffee contraptions and preparation. Real records spin in the corner, amplified to fill the whole space. Don’t hit snooze. Just go." - Perky Bros
"Barista Parlor introduced artisanal coffee to Nashville when it opened its lofty, art-filled space in a former auto repair garage in 2012, serving top-notch small-batch roasters from around the country such as Counter Culture, Intelligentsia, and Stumptown. Two local outposts later, the company has evolved into a roaster-retailer, importing and roasting its own coffee beans for the first time. Try the zesty, fruity Daredevil or the cocoa-inflected Golden Sound while you take in the interiors, which pay homage to Tennessean talent: Doughnuts come from nearby bakers including Five Daughters Bakery in Franklin, and an enormous pixelated mural of a ship by Nashville artist Bryce McCloud covers the back wall."

10 Savory Biscuit Sandwiches to Eat in Nashville - Eater Nashville
"Barista Parlor draws plenty of attention for its coffee, but its no slouch when it comes to breakfast, offering several different types of hearty biscuit sandwiches seven days a week at each of its Nashville locations." - Kristy Lucero, Delia Jo Ramsey
Always a great place to come and get work done. Jamie behind the bar was so kind and knowledgeable. The pour over I got, the black honey, was excellent. However, they lost one star for lack of a co-fermented option. It seems most of the other "Third Wave" shops in town have at least one co-ferment option and I was looking forward to trying Barista Parlors take on it. Maybe next time.

Stopped by on Sunday afternoon for a late breakfast and it was pretty quiet. Huge space with plenty of seating indoor and out, very clean and modern. Iced vanilla bourbon latte and tacos were delicious.

I had heard a lot about the Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich and wanted to try it. I love a good biscuit. I was a little disappointed. It was dry and crumbly. I like a biscuit with a soft middle and a little crisp on the edges. I ordered it with bacon because I ordered the Country Sausage Burrito. If I didn't know it had bacon on it, I would not have known. The melted cheese was thicker than the bacon.
The Country Sausage Biscuit had a good flavor, but the size was a big surprise for the cost. It was not much larger than the biscuit.

Coffee was excellent, I got a vanilla late 1/2 sweet. Breakfast was good as well, the biscuit was very nice and flaky. Tons of seating indoors, and a good amount of parking in the lot.

The original Barista Parlor in East Nashville is where my love for their vanilla lattes began. The open, industrial-chic space exudes creativity and warmth, making it an ideal spot to relax or work. The staff’s passion for coffee is evident in every cup, and their attention to detail ensures a consistently delightful experience. It’s more than just a coffee shop; it’s a cornerstone of the community that never fails to inspire.

First time here and I loved the interior. Super unique open concept. Got a cappuccino and the espresso was good quality, just didn’t love the bean they were using. Personal preference tho! Would come back, the barista was kind!
