This place is amazing! I’ve been to half a dozen dog park bars and Bark Social Bethesda has been by far the most impressive. Since it was our first time visiting we got in for free, my dog got a free pup cup, and we got a 10% discount on all beverages. The place is huge, and has tons of room for running, and plenty of seating options (both on the turf and a large heated & shaded area). Staff were very friendly, alert, and welcoming. We got a bottle of champagne and were shocked how fancy the presentation was! The food wasn’t great (vegan tacos) but can’t speak on behalf of other options. Overall, I was very impressed by the presentation, size, and cleanliness—it felt cleaner and more well put together than many bars I’ve been to. We will definitely be back!

My dog Stella, and I had the BEST.DAY.EVER here!! What a fantastic crew they have working. All the beer was amazing , self serve!!! The only complaint is no food options for my gluten Free / dairy free peps, and you can’t bring outside food or water.

My boys just hit 4 months and we had been waiting. The website makes it easy to "register" your pets. Uploaded copies of my vet records and they had them when I called a few minutes later. Upon arrival the staff is very friendly and helpful getting you checked in. After we confirmed today was the first day they were eligible... We were welcomed in. Upon entering the gate lots of friendly pups came up to say hi. Not an aggressive one amongst them. Walked over to the "under 30 lbs area" and put the boys down. They were a little timid but every guest nearby came over to pet them. In 90 minutes there I, met a bunch of happy friendly "dog people". The place does not smell like a dog park at all. And everyone seems right at home with a beer, coffee or soda. The food options are a little limited and I would probably recommend eating at one of the nearby restaurants. I would have like to have had more tables. It's really difficult to eat sitting so low with dogs everywhere. But on my way out, I noticed a air conditioned indoor area. I probably should have sat there. The rangers wander around and help with doors and pick up after dogs. I saw one "fight" broken up quickly by the ranger. Everyone was fine and no one got tossed out. The pups just needed a reminder. I only wish there was one in the little dog area. It would have made me more comfortable to maybe have a drink or something. If this were closer I would probably be back tomorrow. The boys were out as soon as we got home.

I had been looking for a place to have my fur baby’s 10th birthday party! I stumbled across Bark Social and seamlessly booked his party. The entire process from start to finish was easy and the staff was super helpful! Considering they offer little bites and bar food, I wasn’t sure what to expect food wise. I was pleasantly surprised! They had a variety of options. We had tacos, chicken tenders and pretzel bites - everything was good! We also had the mimosa tower and that was tasty as well! My normally shy and timid furbaby had a blast and will probably be in his bed resting the next 2 days LOL We chose a party package in which we could have 8 human guests and we paid for the day passes for our 4-legged guests. We also added the dog-friendly birthday cake and Mimosa tower. We are SO happy to have chosen Bark Social to commemorate this special birthday! We will definitely be back!

Google
Bark social is amazing. It's one of the best dog parks you can go to. They have food, drinks, music as well as staff there to help keep an eye on your dogs. What more can you ask for? If you live nearby it's a no brainier. I wish there were some kind of extra perks for being a member such as a discount on drinks and/or food.

Today was our first outing at Bark Social. My husband and I were impressed! I love the vibe! It's immaculate & friendly. Bark Rangers are very attentive and handle dogs professionally. And I love that they are strict with vaccines & documents, which gives us more assurance that Bark Social takes health and safety seriously. We had some sandwiches and dip. It was pretty good! My dogs had pumpkin cupcakes (see picture below), and they loved it. My dogs (Kuma & Kuki) had a fabulous time, and we can't wait to go back. Thank you, Bark Social and all staff, for fun times!

Google
We loved Bark Social! Has plenty of seating, and the fact that they have attendants monitor the dogs is so nice. You can have a good time without feeling like you have to watch your pup like a hawk. Perfect place to hang out with your pup and their four-legged pals. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Revisited bark social today for my pup now that I've moved to Rockville. I considered the membership but I don't think it's worth my while since he's often in silver spring with my parents. I wouldn't mind the daily pass as it's reasonable with my schedule and very fairly priced. Grabbed a hot 12 oz matcha latte which was slightly sweetened (tasted pretty good). Service is super quick and I enjoyed going during the morning on a weekday (less crowded). I also liked that they decorated for Halloween and have so many upcoming events.

Yelp
Nothing but bad experiences with this place that claims to be "family friendly". Bought an annual membership this summer. The first time I went I was with my youngest daughter (8) and that was the only time things went smoothly. I returned with all three of my kids (16,12,&8) and they told me I could only bring two kids because they had a 2 dependent policy. I explained to the manager that my wife passed in April and I didn't have another adult to come with me. After some back and forth, the manager let me bring all 3 kids and my dog in and told me to email corporate to see if they would make an exception. I emailed them in September and still have heard nothing. The next time I went, I brought my two oldest with me. They didn't have any issue with me having two kids and a dog with me that day, which suggested I was in compliance with the 2 dependent rule. The only issue I had then was they told me I had to be within 6 feet of my 12 year old daughter at all times. First time that had been mentioned to me even though she had been there before. So today, I left my youngest at home with her grandparents who are visiting this weekend and took my oldest two kids and my dog Fia again. When we tried to check in, the manager on duty this time told me that the dog now counted as a dependent so we couldn't all come in, despite the fact this was different from the way the rule was applied last time. Whether it is continual policy changes or inconsistent implementation across managers, it seemed like the rules changed every time I went. I'm just a dad who wants to take his kids and dog with him to enjoy the atmosphere and pups. Trust me, I wish my wife was still here to be my second adult but she's not. So basically, this place is off limits to single parent families with more than one kid - not very family friendly in my mind. To top it all off, I asked for a refund of my membership since I won't be able to use it and they told me it would have to be processed through corporate. They're more than happy take your money there, but, when the product isn't as advertised, it's suddenly impossible for them to issue you a refund. If you're a non-traditional family, don't expect this place to be friendly to you.

Yelp
Dogs and beer in one place? Sign me up! I love this place and always visit here whenever I'm on a business trip in the area. There's different selection of beer, you are provided a card and you tap it to pour your glass yourself. You pay by the ounce. It's free to enter if you don't have a dog, otherwise if you have a furry friend you will have to pay a fee. You sign a waiver and you're free to enter inside. The workers are nearby to keep an eye on the dogs and to pick up any poo while the owners sit back and relax. I like to chill here with some friends and dog watch, and play with some dogs if they come up to us. It's super adorable and I wish a Bark Social would come to NorCal!

Yelp
Even though we (my child and I) have gone to this location for years, today we were turned away. They stated there needs to be a 21+ for every dog/under 21. We had to drive home disappointed - over an hour away. Not sure what changed but the staff was so callous about it and the website states something else. Will never go back!

Yelp
Bark Social was the greatest experience for our dog and our family!! We had the best time and will be coming back very soon. The best part about Bark Social are the bark rangers. They made sure to protect my small dog from rowdy bigger dogs, and were making sure all the dogs played nicely together. I was so impressed with their attentiveness and my dog really thrived. I also love that Bark Social has no dog toys. My dog usually goes to a dog park and only wants to play fetch. This was the first time he really played and socialized with other dogs which is exactly what we were hoping to get out of the experience. We brought my 5 month old and it was great seeing her interact with so many dogs. All the dogs were friendly and a few gave her kisses. It's the perfect way to introduce your child to dogs and she laughed so much watching the dogs play. My husband was in heaven with 12 beer taps and French fries. You can pour your own beer so there is no beer line and he got to sample three different beers since you can pour as much or as little as you want. The French fries were plenty crispy and a nice way to soak up the alcohol. They give you a free pup cup for your first visit. My dog loved the cup full of whipped cream. Such a sweet treat to gift to newcomers. Overall I cannot say enough positive things about Bark Social. My only wish is there were better vegan food options. If they add some vegan items to their menu I think it would be hard to drag my family away.

Yelp
Fun with friends with and without fur! The food is pretty basic for the price but the fried cauliflower, chips and queso and good. The frozen drinks and large beer selection is great! The loaded friend are great but I could use a few more breakfast options that done feel like I could have made them for 1/10 of the price.

Yelp
I've been here many times over the years to meet friends with dogs. Today I tried to take my own dog for the first time and was given a lot of trouble by the staff. They said they have an age minimum which you don't find unless you visit the FAQ page. It's not featured on the main screen or even when you register your pet online (which the suggest you do to save time). We drove 40 mins to meet friends and they turned us away. We then were told the manager Kevin was ok with us bringing our dog since she had her shots. So we went back. As soon as we walked in, the young girl who gave us a hard time to start immediately ran out after us. The manager wasn't very helpful or solution oriented. Apparently our vet paperwork wasn't kosher with them. The young girl seemed to call all the shots. Not sure why. It's unfortunate the way they handled the situation. We definitely will not be back and will not recommend this location to anyone we know.

Yelp
Great concept to include your furry ones in your daily plans. We relaxed and caught up on life while my cousin's dog was a deer in headlights (laughing). Shadow had never been around so many dogs. There is a small dog area that is great for small dogs but we let Shadow roam freely. Staff members are overseeing the play area. Everyone here was welcoming and kind. There is food and drinks available. Nothing fancy about the food or drinks. Adults are free always. Your pet can get their first visit free. I'm not sure about other costs. Seems to be a solid place for the dogs.

Yelp
We planned a dog vacation around our dog a couple weeks back, and Bark Social in North Bethesda was our first stop. As much as I want to like Bark Social, I just can't. 1. Dog poop. There was only one employee stationed out in the play area when there should be at least 3. That one employee in the play area was doing everything - pouring ice cubes on the turf, filling up tubs with water, spraying down areas with remnants of dog poop. Meanwhile, dogs are pooping in different areas, and one employee cannot possibly notice all the dog poops since the space is huge. It doesn't help that some dog owners don't pick up after their own dogs. 2. No partition between the dining area and the play area. This really bothers me because I've seen other dog park bars do it so much better. Dogs are crowding around the kitchen since they smell the food. Dogs are crowding at the tables as people eat. I brought my dog to Bark Social to play, now I'm chasing him around the tables pulling him away from people as they're eating. 3. High Tops. Dogs can't reach your food while you eat which is great, but this goes back to item #2. Dogs are running around between the dining area and play area. Now if you have a small dog, which is the kind of dog I have, searching for him amongst the high tops with people sitting and standing around it, obstructing your view is super frustrating. 4. Trash Disposal. I watched an employee remove a full bag of trash from the trash can. The trash bag had little holes in it and trash water was spraying out from all the holes. Where she needed to go to dispose of the trash, she had to access the play area, and so trash water was getting all over the turf where dogs are running around. I could not be more disgusted. We actually got some food to eat this time, the food was just okay, which we knew going in. The staff we encountered at the North Bethesda location were also very nice. I like the idea of Bark Social, but I can't see us coming back.

Yelp
Great place to unwind with friends (2-legged or 4-legged) after work on a weekend night right at Pike & Rose. Those without dogs can walk right in without admission or check-in. Those with pets can come with a day pass or membership (pets need to be registered). Chairs and tables surround the perimeter of a turf courtyard. Dogs are encouraged to play in that center square. They also have access to water and self-serve dog baths. Dog owners and friends can order food and drink at the counter. Pagers are given and will detonate when the order is ready. Beer and wine is sold by the ounce, with many good choices. The menu also has cocktails (mimosas, mojitos, ect). Food is also offered (appetizers, sandwiches, and breakfast items). Service was friendly, vibe was relaxed. Though we are not dog owners, we enjoyed playing with all the dogs there. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Been here twice, both on a Saturday and it gets pretty busy, but not overly crowded at least. There were no issues with dogs that I witnessed. Lots of them come up to you to say hi too! My own dog had a blast greeting other people (one of her favorite things). Can't say much about the drinks because I don't drink, but the food tends to take way too long to come out and it's expensive for what yoi get. Therefore, I probably will skip the food if I ever come back. Eventually, I kept smelling dog urine a bit too often, so we left. Maybe I have a sensitive nose, but I wish there was a way to mask the odor better.

Yelp
Of course we came here mostly for the dogs instead of the drinks and food. Our two Great Danes loved this place and reminded them of their dog bar back home. They had a blast and there was a lot of space for them to run around with their long legs. The turf is always a nice thing to have in these parks--there's an area with mulch, which can get their paws and legs dirty but they have a hose to help rinse that off. They even have an area for smaller dogs and a spot for people who don't want to be near dogs, which is interesting if you come but it's super nice to have! There are "bark rangers" wandering around, making sure there aren't any fights or rough play while you're eating/drinking. Food and drinks were surprisingly great and with a lot of variety! We went when it was chilly out, so we mostly got the hot drinks. The matcha and churro lattes were really good. They have a self-serve beer tap section, which is nice for those who want to try a little bit of everything instead of committing to a full glass. Every time we visited, we got the 1 pound pretzel because it was well executed and super tasty. It wasn't super thin to make it dry and crunchy, so the thicker dough is how we like our pretzels. They didn't disappoint every time! They even had a lot of snack options for dogs too. The only thing I would maybe critique is that the dogs have easy access to the beer tap section. Maybe it wasn't quite thought out with big dogs, but our Danes can easily reach the drain portion and lick any dumped beer so we always had to keep a close eye. People are also allowed to eat their food anywhere they want, which in a way it's on them if they don't take a high table because that's just asking dogs to come up to you, right in your face, wanting your food. The high tables make it way easier. But we would recommend coming here for a place to just hang out, eat some snacks and drink, and allow your dogs to run around and have fun like a dog park!

Yelp
I've been here almost every Saturday afternoon with my dog lately. I'm surprised that somebody didn't come up with this concept sooner. Dogs, beer, and food? Perfect! First, if you are a dog owner and want a place to bring your dog where you can be certain that the pets are well-socialized, properly vaccinated, with attentive owners, this is the place. In addition, there is always staff on hand making sure that dogs are getting along, nobody's a bully, and that poop is picked up. Let me repeat that. Staff pick up the poop. They have local beers on tap and a nifty card-based system for self pour. You can sample any beers or ciders you like. And their selections are amazing. The food is... well it's okay. They do try to have a lot of interesting options. What they have is fine for a day at the park if you've got a hunger. But they do cater to all. Vegetarian and meatetarian alike. Try their giant loaded pretzels. There are plenty of areas to socialize. Outside they have Adirondack chairs to sit in the Sun on nice days. They have a covered tent area with heater and TVs if you want to watch a game. I will probably get a seasonal pass very soon.

Yelp
My dog loved Bark Social. He enjoyed interacting with the other dogs and I enjoyed having a place to sit with friends and have a drink.

Yelp
I've been to Bark Social a few times now on weekday mornings, weekday nights, and weekends. It's one of my favorite things to do with or without the pup. I love posting up in an Adirondack chair on the turf and watching the puppies play with a drink in my hand. My dog loves it too, and can stay for hours- he's quiet the rest of the day! The rangers help break up fights and make sure that anyone troublesome leaves, which lets me relax. I also like the food, although it's mostly microwaved- I think you just have to know what you're getting!
google avatar

Mel S.

Yelp
Perfect place to tire your pup while enjoying a drink! They have lots of seating area. Plenty of share area near the restaurant/bar/restroom area, more seating area on the back with canopy's and some sun seating areas. The area is very large so plenty of run area for your pup to run around, there are also two small dog areas if you prefer it for your smaller pups. Service is great! It's a self serve beer area, put your card on the holder and pour your desired beer. They also have frozen cocktails, and soft drinks. One thing to watch for is those sneaky pups trying to take a bite of your food

Yelp
We came here (without a dog) for drag brunch earlier today. First thing that struck me was how secure the park is! No dogs are sneaking in or out of here. The staff was friendly and social with humans and dogs alike. The wifi was down for a bit, causing long lines for food and drink, but it happens so I'm not holding that against them. I got a latte and my fiance got the nitro cold brew to drink, and for food I got the Baja grain bowl while my fiance got the breakfast sandwich. We both liked our drinks. While I had my doubts about my grain bowl given how it was served, it was actually incredibly fresh and tasty. Prices weren't awful either. Despite enjoying a rather loud drag brunch, the sound was surprisingly well contained to just that area. As soon as I wandered out to the open dog park area, I really couldn't hear it. I was impressed. I docked one star because, while the sound was contained, the dogs were not. Bark Social was such a fun setting for the drag brunch but I was concerned about the safety of the drag queens at times with dogs popping up behind them at random moments during their performances. One dog in particular kept barking at the drag queens and getting right behind them. No one from Bark Social intervened (at least from what I could tell). Someone from the Pride organization for the drag event had to get the owner's attention who tried to control her dog/keep it away from the performers (semi-successfully, at times...kind of). Overall, I enjoyed my time at Bark Social and I love that they support the LGBTQ community. Thank you Bark Social! I'll be back for future events.

Kendall G.

Yelp
Great place to hangout with your dog. There are a variety of beers, ciders, wines etc on tap. Food selection is diverse as well, high top tables under a tin roof so dogs can't get your food. My husband would like me to post a picture of the buffalo chicken (bacon?) pretzel because he was unable to find one when he was scrolling through the photos.
google avatar

Esther F.

Yelp
Had such a fun doggy date here! The staff takes care of everything from picking up poo to playing referee when pups get a little riled up.
google avatar

Josephine P.

Yelp
Fun place to take my dog- visit regularly. Staff is very helpful if a fight breaks out or a dog does its business. Food is decent and they have TV's/ trivia and other events to keep the humans busy. I took away a star for three items: 1. The beer taps are not always full. 2. Sometimes they forget to put your food order in and you have to wait all over again (happened twice so far). 3. The seating area inside the covered space is limited and dogs tend to fight there the most because of the food.

Yelp
This is a great place to bring your dogs in North Bethesda. Watching the dogs run around and enjoy them sets always makes us feel good.

Yelp
I've been coming to Bark social for over two years now, I don't agree with some of their practices, but tonight took the cake. I was sitting in a chair with my two French bulldogs next to me and a pitbull approached my dogs aggressively trying to bite them. The owner of the pit comes over, tries to remove her dog, but clearly can't control her own dog. So the pitbull breaks loose comes back over and does the same thing over again. I try to remove the aggressive dog myself 6 times by throwing the dog, until finally a "manager" came over and and the first thing he "SETH" tells me "you don't have to throw the dog like that! " If they were actually doing their job they would've seen what really happened without judging immediately. I wouldn't have thrown the dog 6 times if a ranger was actually there doing their job. Why do I pay an annual if there aren't enough competent staff members on duty. I also told him I have no problem doing it again if the owner can't control their dog or if you as a business can't provide a safe environment. Crazy part was the manager on duty "Seth" went to console the white woman and her out of control pitbull he was literally coddling the out of control animal, he didn't even have decency to ask if my dogs and I were ok. I also sustained some scratches from this incident. This is not the first time I felt like POC are treated differently here.

Yelp
Great concept. Very cute place to have a doggie day out!! I appreciate the cleanliness and other dog lovers!

Yelp
Being a dog mom has changed me for the better. I never knew a place like this existed until I was in need of it. I reserved two tables and did the party package. The service was amazing. It is a large and safe space for humans and dogs alike. My mini Goldendoodle turned 1 so I had to have a birthday party for her. Her cake was so special and delicious (from how she devoured it). The margaritas were good and the only food the humans had were fries, but I was definitely a fan! I will definitely be coming back with Koko.

Yelp
Check three times for all the rules before making your way here. We had all our vaccination records uploaded, obtained tickets in advance for a special event, registered as told, then were turned away. Why? Because my son was with me and is 19. Apparently at certain hours they are 21 and over only. This is not listed in their posted policies (which say patrons under 21 must be supervised by a patron over 21) and was not explained on our ticket. Of all things to be turned away for! Anyway, you'll see similar takes on other reviews. Don't drive a long way or make special plans to go to Bark Social, go only if you're in the area and don't necessarily expect to get in.

Yelp
Great drinks and food options- huge draw; tons of adorable and cuddly dogs running around having a great time? That's the reason to come back every single weekend. They also serve non alcoholic beer options which was a great surprise for dry January!

Yelp
As someone who has frequently visited bark social and was considering turning my monthly membership into an annual pass- I will not be returning. My dog & I were singled out for an incident that involved several other dogs. While I understand the importance of having dogs calm down, it was evident that there was a clear bias against my dog's mixed breed and size. Despite several other dogs participating in the chase, only my black mixed breed dog and I, a black woman, were called out, and it felt like we were being unfairly targeted. While I was trying to calm my dog down and had him on a leash, the other dog (mini aussie) that was causing trouble was freely roaming around, and the staff seemed to turn a blind eye to it. The other dog was continuing to instigate with other dogs. One of the managers even came to speak to me about the "three strikes" rule, which would have been understandable if it had been applied fairly across the board. I had to bring this up to the manager & ask him to speak to the owners of the mini aussie as their dog kept coming up to my dog who was on a leash trying to calm down. I was extremely disappointed to experience such microaggressions and to witness such blatant racism. I encourage other BIPOC dog owners, to read other reviews before visiting. You'll see their lack of decent responses to other reviews. The staff at Bark Social need to learn how to communicate with all dog owners without perpetuating microaggressions and discrimination.

Yelp
Dog parents will enjoy this playground for their four legged babies. A great place to come for a morning coffee and let Fido run around with his pals, or stop by for happy hour beverages. Snacks for humans and puppies. The covered deck area is great to work from or relax with friends and still be able to watch your puppy have fun. There is also a clubhouse with a quieter atmosphere if you need to concentrate while working remotely. Television screens are throughout the deck area so come and watch the game with your pals and let your puppy roam free. All dogs are supervised, and they clean up after them. There is a large tub filled with water so on the hot days dogs can just jump in to cool down.

Yelp
This is a genius business model and I hope this spreads beyond here and Texas! Our pup absolutely loves coming here, and even though we are non-members, we will likely always come here! As non-members, you must pay for your pup's admission (who must be fully vaccinated, with records that you must update before you can enter, if expired); on Fridays/the weekend, the entry cost is higher than it would be on a normal weekday. However, it's totally worth it to have a full functioning dog park, with rangers to watch and break up any pup fights before they happen...! I also appreciate the food that is available (and safe for the dogs to eat, if they get their paws on it), plus the beer, spritzers and coffee! I enjoyed it when they had Ceremony coffee, but looks like they recently switched to Majorca. Be prepared to have a very pooped pup post Bark Social, and due to the wood chips that they use to cover the ground...note a bath is VERY likely in their near future!

Yelp
Humans can enter in for free, but dogs have to pay a fee. One of my friends loves coming here because she loves dogs. I'm not a dog person, but I was with 4 others who are dog people, so we stopped by after dinner. Definitely worth checking out to grab a drink or snack to chill with your friends while petting dogs. If you do get food and eat it in front of all the dogs, expect 10 dogs near you at all times hoping you'd drop them a crumb or two. My friends were able to play and pet many dogs. The seating & run area is pretty spacious and clean for the most part. Just to note, this whole place smells like dogs and they also have sprinkles/dog wash going off so lots of wet dogs running around. Also, you'll 100% be covered in slobber by the time you leave, haha.

Yelp
This is our favorite spot to take our puppy to get out some pent up energy. They always have great service with their drinks and food. I would like to get some merch from their store, but alas, that will have to wait.

Yelp
Very energetic and stress relieving place! The entrance fee only applies for dogs. People can enter for free as long as they have an ID and fill out the info on their QR code/website. Located in Pike & Rose, parking is available in nearby garages. Parking is free for the first two hours and then $1 afterwards. There are many types of beer here and it is on tap with a tap card. You pay by the Oz and you pour yourself. I really like this idea because you can try a little bit and not have to get a whole pint or 10 oz and end up not liking it. The card that you register for the drinks adds up your tab for the drinks you get. They also have non-alcoholic drinks and frozen cocktails, small bites. There are plenty of seating here and a big turf for dogs to play. Beware that the turf and any surface here is marked by many dogs doing No 1 and 2. The employees here are vigilant about dogs being too playful or aggressive.

Yelp
I really wish that my dog wasn't actually a "scaredy cat" so I could come here more often and she could burn off a little energy. The thing is: she is SO picky about who she wants to dog-sociate with that the last time I brought her, she basically was so terrified she hung in my shadow the entire time. Good job FT. It happens sometimes at the dog park too, she does really appreciate a more open sprawling space where she can get away from 95% of all of the other dogs. That said, I was most recently at Bark Social (sans dog) because of a singles mixer hosted by my friend Michelle from Pike_And_Rose. I told Michelle when I got there that if I didn't meet the love of my life before I left that night, I was gonna demand a refund from her ;). What ended up happening? I did end up meeting like 5 new friends which was super awesome, had a ton of fun, and totally had a blast getting out there and experiencing Bark Social in a different light. FIrst I need to mention a few things: 1. Say yes to the frosè (it's delicious) 2. Say yes to the handmade pretzels (HUGE and good) It was really easy entry. We actually were able to start a tab before we even entered Bark Social by handing over a CC to one of the friendly (yet slightly overwhelmed) employees out front. I think I'm gonna bring toast soon enough at some slower points in the day - so maybe she can get used to it when there's not 100 dogs there. This place has everything. They have seating out in the yard, seating under the pavillion, indoor seating even. There's alcohol, coffee, snacks, meals. I mean... if I lived at Pike and Rose... I'd be a regular. No doubt about it. Now that the weather is getting nicer, I can't wait to visit again soon.

Yelp
If the idea of "an off leash dog park with booze, coffee, and pub grub where you don't need to bring a dog to play with the pups" sparks joy for you, get yourself over here ASAP. Since we love dogs (but don't have one right now), we often look over at dog parks with longing. Here, humans without dogs are welcome (and free!) and the coffee was reasonably priced (the standard 4-5 per drink). They have a nice variety of amenities - bar-style high tops with outlets, lounge chairs in the sun, tables and chairs for groups. Assuming you and your friends all love the idea of constantly petting new dogs while you chat, I think this could be a great group happy hour spot. We'll probably be back soon!

Yelp
Dog park while you work, eat and drink - the idea is genius! I especially love the fact that there are bark rangers to watch/clean after your pup and they're all so sweet towards the 4 legged fur babies. You also have to register your dog and provide proof of vaccines so I feel safe bringing my dog here. It's my favorite place to take my corgi here.

Yelp
This place does not accommodate walk-in/walk-up services. The gate staff was very rude and unwilling to properly explain how the business operates. The website has ZERO information pertaining to subscription details or what membership really includes and the whole process is Online driven. New customers are forced to utilize a smart phone or computer to even get through the gate. Very frustrating experience I don't recommend. What looked to be great location and appears to be a popular venue was promptly ruined by rude unhelpful staff. This is the 2023? How is this a problem.

Yelp
I came Bethesda location and People who watch the dogs are mean. Today my dog is a little bit excited and barking a little bit so they asked me to leave because my dog doesn't has a better behaved... so I put him on leash next to me and going to finish my drink to leave. The manager came to me said I have to leave right now. Do not recommend and won't come back again!

Yelp
Going into this I was pretty terrified - not going to lie. When you walk in with your dog, you have to take off their leash, remove any ecollars, and walk into an open area with at least 20+ other dogs. I have seen so many fights at dog parks that I was pretty skeptical of what kind of experience this was going to be. That being said, Bark Social is probably the most fun and enjoyable thing I have done in 2022 so far! The thing that sold me was that they have workers patrolling the area (picking up food for a clean environment) who are brave enough to separating any dogs that get into fights. Plus, if you're like me (a helicopter mom) you can walk to the self pour beer/cider wall to grab something to calm the nerves. I will mention that while I did not personally get any food, my friend did and it took over an hour to be prepared.

Yelp
Confession: I have never been to Bark Social. I'm giving it 5 stars because my senior dad calls me every time he goes, gushing about what a great place it is and how excited his dog gets, tugging at the leash to go in. He raves about how well staffed it is, how they do a great job keeping an eye on all the dogs and keeping it a low stress, safe, and comfortable environment for them to all play and interact, and how people come sans their own pets just to pet the dogs, which is heaven for his attention-loving pup. Meanwhile, my dad can relax and have a drink with other dog-loving people. I find it very sweet. Thanks for making my dad and his dog happy!

Yelp
All dog lovers unite! You absolutely have to visit this dog heaven! Bark Social is the perfect place to bring your dog, hang out with friends and grab a beer or coffee. They have a 20-tap PourMyBeer self-serve beverage wall that has delicious (and lots of local) craft beer on tap. Even if you don't have a dog I recommend stopping by and getting your daily dose of happiness from the dogs just like I did, lol! Have a blast, woof woof!

Yelp
We hosted a private party for 180 people last weekend, and everything from start to finish was amazing. The staff at Bark Social could not have been more friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure the night was a fantastic experience for our guests. The venue was perfect for a fun and casual vibe, and they are very flexible with making your private event special. Our guests loved it!

Yelp
Updating my review after dropping in with a friend for their 90s glow-in-the-dark pawty. With no doggo, it was pretty easy to get in after filling out the waiver on my phone at the door (as compared to my previous review where I was bringing my Jelly along). It was truly a hoot seeing all those dogs running around/running into each other/running away/etc. I was in awe of how well some of the dogs behaved... and equally in awe at how quickly Bark Social's staff snatched 'em up if they weren't. There was an even a DJ playing EDM hits lol. No need for drinks to even be entertained, but there is a full bar on-site should you need one!

Yelp
Pros - Plenty of space for your dog to frolic and be free. - Separate play area for smaller dogs. - Staff are super attentive and are mindful of dogs nearby the exit gates. - Free wifi if you want to work remotely. - Plenty of drink and food options for you and your pup! - Hosted events like the Yelp Elite social and trivia night. - Clean and spacious gender-neutral bathrooms. - They ensure that all dogs' vaccines are up to date. - Free for humans - Plenty of other activities (i.e. eateries, shopping, drinking, etc.) in the area. Cons - You must pay for parking but it's free up to two hours. - Cannot bring your own food and drink (not even water). - $9.99/day if your dog isn't a member. However, Bark Social sometimes hosts events/days where they have free entry for both you and your pet.

Yelp
Would not recommend membership. I requested a refund for 7 months of my annual membership after a ranger mishandled my dog. There was no response to the contact form, the phone wasn't answered, there was no response to a voice message. The corporate office was non responsive.

Yelp
We went last night and I've been sick all day from the food. Worst experience I've had at pike and rose. I don't know if it was good poisoning but im not able to work tomorrow either because of it. We ordered nachos, wings, and Mac and cheese bites. I didn't like that the place smelled like pee... but the workers were really nice and I loved that the dogs could play. I really didn't like that I had to dump my water out of my water bottle, I am really sensitive and picky with filtered water. They made me used theirs. Maybe that's why I got sick too... not sure if it was the water or the food. I'm pretty sure it was the food. Overall my first experience was not a good one. Love the idea, the ambiance. But the food was the worst ever (even my husband got sick). Really wanted to like this place

Yelp
Great place for you and your dog to socialize with other people and dogs. Great rotating beer selection. Staff is great with dogs and people. I highly recommend Bark Social even if you don't have a dog.

Yelp
Omg!!!! I absolutely love this place. It's a great place to take your time pup for play time and to just sit back and relax. The food is pretty good a bit expensive but delicious. And the service is impeccable. Everyone is attentive to all of the dogs and the dog owners. All the dogs seem to be really friendly and very seldom do you see dog fights or minor altercations. Everyone is respectful of all of the dogs and dog owners. My pup loves it. Check it out if you just want to go chill out have a beer and watch your pup have the time of his life.

Yelp
I enjoy coming here with my dog and the employees who work here are great! I really hope they get paid well for the excellent job they do. The reason I can't give it 5 stars is because people bring their aggressive dogs here and don't watch them. Some of the patrons get extremely rude after drinking and it overall makes it not a great experience. Even though the staff tries to keep an eye on everything make sure you keep an eye on your dog. People who have terrible dogs don't keep an eye on them or don't intervene when their dog is hurting other dogs and you can hear them yelping. I still want to give this place a try we are just going to try coming off hours to see if we can avoid some of the more rude patrons.
