"This people-friendly, 25,000-square-foot dog park includes a beer garden and bars built into converted shipping containers splashed with rainbow-toned murals that spell out spell out “good pups, full cups.” Houston-based Good Boy Brewing Company supplies nonalcoholic beer made for dogs in flavors like “Mailman Malt Licker,” and everything on the premises must be dog-safe. Bark Social took over Barkhaus in Alexandria this year with a menu full of steak flatbread, a bacon-and-egg cheeseburger, wings, and more. There’s also a location in Baltimore, with a Columbia edition coming soon." - Tierney Plumb, Vinciane Ngomsi

"North Bethesda’s sprawling new dog park, bar, and cafe kicks off Halloween weekend with a screening of Scream on Thursday, October 28. There’s a dogs-and-drag show with MoCo Pride on Friday, October 29. The following Saturday, Bark Social will host DJs and a costume contest for the chance to win free drinks. On Halloween, there’s a morning of fall fun — bobbing for apples, ring toss, pumpkin calligraphy, and drinks dished out by Silver Branch Brewing and Frankly Vodka — will be the prelude to a puppy parade (costumes encouraged) around the Pike & Rose complex." - Tierney Plumb, Eater Staff

This place is amazing! I’ve been to half a dozen dog park bars and Bark Social Bethesda has been by far the most impressive. Since it was our first time visiting we got in for free, my dog got a free pup cup, and we got a 10% discount on all beverages. The place is huge, and has tons of room for running, and plenty of seating options (both on the turf and a large heated & shaded area). Staff were very friendly, alert, and welcoming. We got a bottle of champagne and were shocked how fancy the presentation was! The food wasn’t great (vegan tacos) but can’t speak on behalf of other options. Overall, I was very impressed by the presentation, size, and cleanliness—it felt cleaner and more well put together than many bars I’ve been to. We will definitely be back!

I had been looking for a place to have my fur baby’s 10th birthday party! I stumbled across Bark Social and seamlessly booked his party. The entire process from start to finish was easy and the staff was super helpful! Considering they offer little bites and bar food, I wasn’t sure what to expect food wise. I was pleasantly surprised! They had a variety of options. We had tacos, chicken tenders and pretzel bites - everything was good! We also had the mimosa tower and that was tasty as well! My normally shy and timid furbaby had a blast and will probably be in his bed resting the next 2 days LOL We chose a party package in which we could have 8 human guests and we paid for the day passes for our 4-legged guests. We also added the dog-friendly birthday cake and Mimosa tower. We are SO happy to have chosen Bark Social to commemorate this special birthday! We will definitely be back!

My dog Stella, and I had the BEST.DAY.EVER here!! What a fantastic crew they have working. All the beer was amazing , self serve!!! The only complaint is no food options for my gluten Free / dairy free peps, and you can’t bring outside food or water.

My dogs have never been freer than when at Bark Social. We’ve always had a blast there, but at Chonkfest this year, I had to take my two dogs by myself because my husband was sick in bed. The Bark Social staff saw that one of my dogs was overwhelmed, so they took her into the office where it was quiet and she could be cozy. Then they helped us get to the front of the line for our caricature picture, so we could enjoy that last experience and head out for the pups. Martini & Olive always come back happy and pooped from their time there. And their staff are super considerate and friendly people.

My boys just hit 4 months and we had been waiting. The website makes it easy to "register" your pets. Uploaded copies of my vet records and they had them when I called a few minutes later. Upon arrival the staff is very friendly and helpful getting you checked in. After we confirmed today was the first day they were eligible... We were welcomed in. Upon entering the gate lots of friendly pups came up to say hi. Not an aggressive one amongst them. Walked over to the "under 30 lbs area" and put the boys down. They were a little timid but every guest nearby came over to pet them. In 90 minutes there I, met a bunch of happy friendly "dog people". The place does not smell like a dog park at all. And everyone seems right at home with a beer, coffee or soda. The food options are a little limited and I would probably recommend eating at one of the nearby restaurants. I would have like to have had more tables. It's really difficult to eat sitting so low with dogs everywhere. But on my way out, I noticed a air conditioned indoor area. I probably should have sat there. The rangers wander around and help with doors and pick up after dogs. I saw one "fight" broken up quickly by the ranger. Everyone was fine and no one got tossed out. The pups just needed a reminder. I only wish there was one in the little dog area. It would have made me more comfortable to maybe have a drink or something. If this were closer I would probably be back tomorrow. The boys were out as soon as we got home.

Dogs, beer, and cool people all in one place! There is a small entry fee for your pup but humans are free. Come hang out with a bunch of awesome dogs and fun people. They have a great selection of beers/beverages and tasty food options too. There's even some good vegan options! It's a great way to socialize your dog and fun to just hang out and watch them run around even if you don't have a dog. Come get unlimited fur baby head pats. There's TVs so you can watch the game. It can be a good place to remote work too. Bring your dog and let them loose to explore and make new friends. Don't worry too much about your dog either. The Bark Rangers will help pick up their poop and break up any scuffles. There's a small dog area for little ones that you may be worried about letting loose with the big bois.

Bark social is amazing. It's one of the best dog parks you can go to. They have food, drinks, music as well as staff there to help keep an eye on your dogs. What more can you ask for? If you live nearby it's a no brainier. I wish there were some kind of extra perks for being a member such as a discount on drinks and/or food.

This should be a place where my dogs should be able to be safe running around. I am very disappointed with the way the manager Natalia handled things when there were several fights happening while I was there. I was there for two hours and there were 6 Or 7 fights. The same dogs were going after my dogs and other dogs multiple times and nothing was done about it even after the fact I brought it to the managers attention. She did absolutely nothing about it and continued to let the same dogs stay at the park that were going after other dogs. She walked out to talk to the staff, stood there for about a minute and went back to typing on her laptop. As a manager she should be making sure all of the dogs are safe. I have been here multiple times and I see the same dogs allowed to come back To bark social that are starting fights and aggressively going after other dogs. Do better
