"This acclaimed Woodinville restaurant isn’t even in Seattle but it has some of the most eye-popping bargains of all SRW. A three-course lunch is $35 and a three-course dinner is $65 — for context, a single non-SRW entree at Barking Frog can easily run $50. The lunch choices seem a bit kids menu-y — mac and cheese and cheeseburger are two of the three entree options — but dinner has more exciting dishes like Dungeness shrimp toast and short rib ragu." - Harry Cheadle

"After building the Barking Frog at the Willows Lodge in Woodinville into a respected fine-dining destination and a fertile training ground for young chefs, chef Bobby Moore announced Friday, June 24, that he’s leaving the restaurant after 20 years to open a new restaurant on the Eastside. Dylan Herrick, a longtime Barking Frog cook who started there as a dishwasher 16 years ago, is taking over as executive chef as Moore prepares to open his restaurant, details of which he says he’ll announce in mid-July." - Jade Yamazaki Stewart

Barking frog is my favorite Seattle area restaurant. It’s a great occasion spot. The food is out of this world and their sauces are to die for. I have not had a bad bite at this place. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Seattle area. The lamb shank was phenomenal! A very sizable portion and worth every penny!

Google
Henry high class dining, ambitious and delicious rotating menu, delectable Non-alcoholic beverages, friendly and knowledgeable staff and very classy and chill atmosphere. I cannot wait to return to the barking frog. It is great for a special occasion or for a stellar dining experience prior to a concert at the winery next door.

Barking Frog completely exceeded our expectations! We came in for a special dinner and chose the vegan tasting menu, and wow — every course was creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From the first bite to the last, the attention to detail was clear, and the flavors were anything but predictable. This was easily one of the best tasting menus we’ve had — vegan

For many years, Barking Frog was one of our favorite restaurants for upscale dinner. We loved their farm fresh food, elegant but down to earth atmosphere, and impeccable service. We came in for a dinner with friends. Gentleman serving our table pushed hard for us to get a bottle of wine. Since 2 of the 4 people at the table didn't drink at all, and us 2 who drink really only take a glass of wine, it was tough to justify. Vibe at the table got awkward as he went on and on about some $300 bottle of wine even after i polite indicated we were not interested. We've been to BF for lunch/brunch/dinner probably over two dozen times over the years. Never had we experienced pushy service. After we finally agreed to get a bottle that was part of their buyer's deal at $130, arguably not the finest wine in their cellar, we started getting our food but pretty cold shoulder from the server. Food was fine. Not sure if our perception was affected by the rather unpleasant wine ordering experience. My friend asked for salad suggestion, and server recommended a delicata squash "marrow". That was poorly executed. Squash was dry and flavorless. Our seafood entrees were much better than the salad. Lots of intricate designs and artsy pieces on the plate. Food was cooked well. I know the pandemic years were tough, and I'm glad Barking Frog made it. Perhaps the current incarnation just doesn't click with me as much. Maybe they need to focus on selling bigger tickets. Understandable. I appreciate the hard work kitchen staff clearly put into their dishes. I hope next time i return, I'll have a better experience.

Really liked this place for its ambience. We came for brunch and sat outside in the patio and it was delightful. We were a vegetarian group and found a few dishes which were pretty good. Service was good

Visited for my wife's birthday and we had the good fortune to be seated at the fire table. We were impressed by the cocktails (espresso martini was unbelievable). We were blown away by the food. I'll easily recommend the Eggs Benedict substitute Tuna as well as the Monte Cristo. The food was nearly as good as the service. Tyler and staff went out of their way to make my wife's visit special. We'll be back and we're pleased to highly recommend this spot.

We’ve been in the Seattle area for 8 years now and just discovered the Willows and Barking Frog. It’s absolutely the best place we’ve ate at out here and we’ve only gotten to brunch here twice so far. My husband is in love with the Biscuits and Gravy and I loved the Huevos Rancheros. The service here is top notch, it’s high end but not snobby. We’re already planning our next trip here!

My wife and I wanted to try somewhere we hadn't been before and found this place online. The food was very good and the service was prompt. The atmosphere, although nice in accommodations and layout was a bit loud when we were there. Maybe it was the area of the restaurant we happened to be in that day. Would probably go again to try some of the other options on the menu though.

Yelp
Did a Monday Breakfast for my friend's birthday. Being a Monday we had any choice of seating and picked the big rock table with the fire! I ordered a mimosa, and 2 shots of tequila for us to celebrate! For food I ordered the steak and eggs. Cooked dairy free; over easy eggs, steak seared (all sides), rare on the inside, and it came out exactly that way. My friend received a dessert with candles to top it all off! The great service, with only one other table with customers, felt like they were all there for us only added to our experience! We wanted to treat ourselves to a fancy day and felt we got what we went for!

Yelp
Cozy winery feel that I enjoyed. The waiter has great recommendations. I tried their unique monte cristo and thought it was delicious with the jam it came with. The sweet potato fries were salted well. There were kids eating here too so feel free to bring children. For brunch prices, I felt like the price and quantity and quality were spot on. Parking was easy but a further walk. We didn't make reservations for a Saturday 12:40pm time and got seated immediately. I was pleasantly surprised!

Yelp
Overall, a great experience. Super attentive staff. My water was constantly filled throughout the night! The food was excellent. The lamb was moist and yummy! The oysters were good. The cake was good as well. The food was good overall, but it is the overall experience with the food and staff and drinks and atmosphere that makes this place 4/5.

Yelp
It's been such A long time since I visited this restaurant. This is always my favorite place. The ambiance, staff and FOOD are all superb. And this visit was no different. SRW menu included dishes I like such as pear salad and scallops. So happy! I usually have menu that I don't like especially out of SRW menu and rather pass places I'd visit otherwise. The pear salad was a good portion with pear, arugula, candid walnuts and Gorgonzola balanced perfectly with delicate vinaigrette. The scallops were perfectly cooked not dry not raw. The citrus sauce and the well seasoned mashed potato were not overwhelming. Roasted broccolis were charred and a bit of bitterness I'd rather have them steamed. The chocolate mousse was smooth and not too sweet but rich which I really liked. Ordered a cup of coffee which was strong and accompanied very well with the cake. Overall I'm glad I came. This restaurant is solid and consistent I really appreciate the hard work they do!

Yelp
Giving an update of our last few trips to Woodinville to drink wine that typically happens on a Sunday. We like to eat a bit before the tasting and Barking Frog is a great place for brunch. Since we always land here around lunch time we've found it's always busy and there's a wait and sometimes we're seated at the bar, so I would recommend you plan ahead a get reservations. I would reserve for noon and then the wine tasting should be 2-2:15PM. I don't think you can really go wrong with quality and freshness of the food on the menu. What caught my eye last time was either the steak and eggs or the huevos rancheros. The staff all love the rancheros, so I ordered them and they were the best I've eaten in Seattle area, hands down. The more you mixed the ingredients together with some hot sauce it just got better and better. If you're a Mexican food lover, don't pass these up. Wife had a mimosa and I ordered ice tea and then switched to a bloody Mary that went well with my rancheros, although I think I finished the drink before the food arrived. I've never had dinner here and if it wasn't for the hectic atmosphere of seating during the busy Sunday lunch crowd, I'd say this could be a 5 star review. I can't think of a worthy alternative for lunch/brunch before wine tasting in Woodinville, so put Barking Frog on your short list. P.S. Sorry no new photos my last few times here.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere with good service. Breakfast here is the best. Food was above average and tasty. Beignets are the go to appetizer!!Make reservations to be guaranteed a seat. Prices are a little steep but worth it

Yelp
Romantic hidden gem at Willows Lodge. Came first a birthday dinner. Loved the ambience, creative Menu with vegan options. Hummus is diverse & tasty. Really good focaccia bread! friendly service. Sorbet birthday dessert! Came back the next day for breakfast lunch. Another delicious meal with friendly service. A little expensive but worth the experience They get busy, reservations are recommended.

Yelp
Really good food. The cheeseburger was great and so was the corned lamb sandwich. Service was good.

Yelp
This is a fancy upscale restaurant situated near the winery and a bunch of chateau places for private events and weddings. I was here in Woodinville for business travel and my husband picked this place to try. We ordered bread basket, marinated squid and beets salad for appetizer. The bread was fantastic with different flavors. The squid was good but the hummus at the bottom was a bit too salty. Salad was refreshing and above average. We ordered two main courses and were very pleased with the flavor balance. The salmon has a layer of crispy skin and the asparagus that came with it was so juicy and flavorful. The duck is tender and the farro (?) at the bottom has a subtle, complex and savory flavor, which I highly recommend! There is a small hiking trail behind the compound of the restaurant and we took a short walk after dinner. You can even see Mt Rainer across the street through the lavender farm!

Paul A.

Yelp
The setting is beautiful fine dining. Great for dating or special occasion. We went for lunch so there was not many selection. We had lamb Reuben and seared pork rillette sandwich. The lamb meat in the Lamb Reuben is salty. Much saltier than the pork in the seared pork rillette. The pork in seared pork is made of ground pork. The taste is okay. Saltiness is normal. When asked how was the food, I told him the lamb was salty. Was told that sorry the food was not to my likeness. ^_^

Yelp
Really enjoyed the good and service. We arrived early and decided to have a drink at the bar, curated By Isaiah Ostonal. He was passionate about the drinks he created. It was amazing to hear how involved each ingredients takes to make the cocktail. Both our cocktails were delicious! A great way to start the evening! Our meal was delicious too. We started off with foie gras and gnocchi. Both very tasty and very rich. We decided to share the 16oz boneless wagyu steak. This was amazing! Melt in your mouth amazing! We ended up not having dessert because we were so full from all the delicious comfort food. A great place to dine especially visiting Woodinville.

Yelp
Went here during the Seattle restaurant week promo. For how hyped up this place was the food was the most disappointing. I'm fully aware that going during SRW does not showcase the restaurants full capabilities but for what they are charging and what was presented it was highly disappointing. The positives: our server was great, attentive without being overbearing. he was friendly, informative, and fantastic. Ambience: we got here a little before the lunchtime rush. Nothing fancy, upscale, a little dark and moody, but glad to have a lot of natural light coming in through the windows. Food: like I mentioned above, it was subpar, nothing special. I think what's truly disappointing. Is Seattle restaurant week is a time to showcase what your restaurant has to offer and give people a taste of cuisine a broader set of folks. The offerings were very basic, executed well, but nothing above or beyond what I would expect of a restaurant of this caliber. I think barking frog is a result of a lack of offerings in the Woodenville area. There's not a lot of competition, there's not a lot of upscale dining that really challenges the quality. It's a safe option IMO. Honestly, I would much rather drive an hour into downtown Seattle and get a meal for the same price that's times better than I experienced.

Yelp
What a phenomenal experience here at The Barking Frog. The scenic drive up through the twisting tree lined roads as fall sets in this north western American city of Woodinville, WA. The crisp clean air had a spectacular charm. The restaurant was vibrant with a rustic feel. The service was promp and attentive. Andrew, our waiter, was super professional and knowledgeable of the menu and food preparation. Great selection of red wines. I was able to finally enjoy a special menu item. The beef wellington. Superb flavorful dish. The filet was prepared to perfection. Thank you, Barking Frog.

Yelp
Service was bad we went for my parents 35 wedding anniversary they brought a happy birthday plate. They ignored us and we had to wave them down for service, food was not pleasant and chicken was dry and old. For $500 dinner for 4 ppl I expected a lot better. I remember amazing food and service was Bobby was there.

Emmie H.

Yelp
This place is DELICIOUS for breakfast. I come here yearly with a friend as a tradition around the holidays. Our server this time was so wonderful and she didn't steer us astray by recommending both cream cheeses with the beignets this time. This is a nicer restaurant but it's cozy and in a beautiful location in Woodinville. I always get the beignets and they're light, perfectly cooked, and so delightful to pair with the huckleberry cream cheese (my personal fave). For my mains, I had the Monte cristo sandwich, sub potato's with fruit. It had the perfect amount of toppings and was so fresh. Love it here and I'll be back for sure!

Michele S.

Yelp
I hear the breakfast here is wonderful. Made a reservation here because it was my Mom's birthday and I couldn't think of a nicer restaurant near her retirement home in Bothell. The food at dinner was edible and had some small standouts. The scallops looked plump and were cooked nicely. The presentation of most dishes was horrible, Won't exactly complain about what the braised meat and steak dishes looked like. I asked the guys that ordered them hoe they were and was told "fine" and "acceptable". The wilted salad actually tasted great- very interesting flavors together, but when it was put down in front of me it looked like it was run under water and slapped on a plate from Denny's. The way the gnocchi was cooked was very tasty. It didn't look appetizing on the metallic terracotta colored plate it came on. We initially had a larger crowd and was booked for the larger group table and was told we'd have a smaller, large group menu. I wasn't happy about this so when our party shrunk, I was pleased to adjust the reservation and did so easily with an email request. Now that we sampled many dishes off the typical menu, I'd say the only dish I'm glad to have tried is that wilted salad. The toasted quinoa on it was a little distracting because it was gritty like a mouth full of unflavored sand but I appreciate the effort to have a texture element. After going to the restaurant seeing the large group table I'm glad we didn't sit there- it's a cool table because there's a fireplace in the center but it wouldn't be good for group conversation, you could only talk to the people to the sides of you, not across. Our service was awkward and some of the employees were dressed as if they worked at a level of establishment several steps below what they're aiming for. We had a good laugh at the end because it was my Mom's birthday so she got some fruity chocolate pieces on a plate. There was an "edible" happy birthday sign and my niece wondered if it was edible and what it was made out of. Typically these things are chocolate, or some type of sugar art so we told her "yes" she/we tasted it and it tasted SO OLD and like the inside of a junk drawer. We still think it was originally made of mostly edible ingredients but made so long ago and not kept well. It was the "icing on the cake" to a night that was pretty strange. We left laughing, so it was a nice night. After the fact my sister who lives in the area told me nobody goes here for dinner, just breakfast. Now I know.

Kenny V.

Yelp
Quite excellent. I've had good, but not great experiences with the $$$+ restaurant bracket for a while and this was a nice surprise. Was here on a Friday night celebrating a special occasion and then for lunch the following day. The likes: -Service was very knowledgeable and attentive, as expected -Great ambiance -Went a little crazy on the bread basket, but the focaccia is excellent. -The bone-in braised beef short rib was fantastic. -Lunch menu is more $$ The dislikes: -Not a fault of the restaurant, but don't try to come here without reservations. -Otherwise nothing really to dislike!

Stacey P.

Yelp
I've wanted to dine at the Barking Frog since dining at the Herbfarm. The name, the ambiance, being in wine country - everything about it beckoned me to come. I only ever hesitated because it is not anywhere near where I live and with no reservations for brunch I didn't want to drive to find no availability. To mitigate this risk my partner and I decided to go early, which worked in our favor. We arrived at 10 AM and by 11 AM there was a good amount of people there! I can certainly see why because they have a great brunch. I opted for the Eggs Benedict with lox and it was perfect! The hollandaise sauce was tasty without being overwhelming. The muffin was not too thick. There was plenty of salmon and it shined! The eggs were cooked perfectly. Upon poking them the yolk ran out. It was great! The service was the professional polite type. No small talk, no idle chatter. They were exceptionally efficient. I'd come again!

Michael J.

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner tonight sat at the bar Nick guided us through an amazing menu from beginning to end. Had the salmon and the preparation was amazing. Nick paired it with an amazing Italian wine that complemented the dish. We ended with popcorn ice cream and a fortified wine that was mind blowing :) thanks again Nick for helping us through an impressive menu and wine selection. Very grateful! Looking forward to next visit

Yelp
Finally I got to visit them! The place didn't disappoint. We arrived at 2pm and the best news is that they serve breakfast past time. Nice!! Love love love brunch. It wasn't busy at this time. Even o. A weekend. Plenty of parking even when it is just a bit of a walk because first spots are for electric cars. There's a hotel on the other side. I don't understand why cars don't drive around the roundabout between the restaurant and hotel. There is no sidewalk so be careful while driving. Anywho, the decor is very pretty. Looved that table with a firepit I. The middle. We sat near a window. You can take a look to the patio. Very cozy with the fountains and sun. Food was yummy! I had the eggs and steak with a waffle. Of course I ordered a bloody Mary with it. Mac n cheese was fabulous too. Hamburger was good. Staff was very attentive, patient, and friendly. I will come back :)

Efren G.

Yelp
I loved this place and the ambiance. You could see into the kitchen so it made you feel part of the huddle and bustle. We had the avocado toast with a poached egg and it was marvelous. A glass of Gamet finished it off nicely. We sat in front of the fire place with added to the feel. I recommend this place.

Erika J.

Yelp
I had the avocado toast and Gamay red wine. I loved the Gamay but the avocado with poached eggs I would not recommend. The egg was not poached correctly and the avocado toast had NO taste at all. I enjoyed the seating around the fire and the hostess was very inviting. I think once was enough for me but recommend to try for yourself!

John K.

Yelp
First time visit, went for lunch with my friends. Very nice ambiance, upscale. The Cobb Salad was fresh and tasty, our friends had the BLT and the Chicken burger which came with a healthy portion of French fries but they were very limp.. they did enjoy both their meals, I had had the beef burger with a side order of house salad. They were both tasty. It was a pleasant place to have lunch and have a bit of a chitchat with our friends. It's a little bit on the pricey side, but we enjoyed it.

Linda K.

Yelp
For an unparalleled dining experience, The Barking Frog is the place to be! My fiancé and I had the pleasure of savoring their extraordinary tasting menu, "Let's Meat For Dinner," and we were left utterly captivated by each course. The flavors were simply sensational, making our meal an exquisite dining adventure. Beyond the phenomenal food, the service was equally exceptional. Taylor, the restaurant manager, and CT, the sommelier, were delightful hosts who showcased not only their expertise but also their warm and charming personalities. Their attentiveness elevated our dining experience to the highest level, leaving a lasting impression. The ambiance at The Barking Frog is as inviting as can be, with a theater kitchen that allows guests to witness the culinary artistry up close. The soft, dim lighting sets the perfect mood, and the restaurant boasts an impressive selection of wines, adding to the overall enjoyment. Such was our delight with the food and service that we decided to return the very next day! We wholeheartedly recommend The Barking Frog to all connoisseurs of fine dining!

Rachael W.

Yelp
Brunch was so delicious and the service was impeccable. The beignets, lamb reuben and eggs benedict were amazing.

Natalie H.

Yelp
Clean and upscale establishment. The pork chop was one of the best I've ever had, and our server was phenomenal. He gave excellent recommendations for food and wine pairings, and checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. They use locally sourced, fresh, and seasonal ingredients.

Carly C.

Yelp
I am specifically leaving a review for the fact that this restaurant is exceptionally nice, in addition to our waiter named Isaiah who was a genuine pleasure. I hope that a manager supervisor is able to recognize him for his excellent customer service, and attention to detail. I highly recommend trying out the Barking Frog as a nice date, night spot or special occasion, spot with friends or family. The parking lot was easy, the location, wise quaint, and charming! Seems like they have a menu that changes, so you'll have to go and see what's on the menu when you decide to try. I am including photos of some of the delicious items we had.

Ryan M.

Yelp
This place I reserve for special occasions. A friend and colleague wanted to go somewhere prestigious. I had been to the Barking Frog a few years ago and it did not disappoint that time. We had lunch at noon on a Friday. The weather was about 82° so we opted for the patio. There was ample seating both inside and out so the choice was ours. A round of drinks and appetizers came next. Delicious smoked salmon balls and a variety dip plate with hummus. I know it's ridiculous, but that was arguably the best celery I have ever had. I got the three course meal with the pork cheek bruschetta, cucumber salad, and scallops. I went out of my way to remind everyone in the party that I needed to take pictures for this review. I got one. After the first bite of bruschetta, I forgot all about taking pictures. The staff was attentive and knew when to swing by and when to leave us alone. Parking is the same as for Willows Lodge, and there is no sign per se, but there is no concern with taking the wrong spot as long as you don't park in the valet. Let them do it. They also have 4 Tesla supercharger stations out front. And if you eat entirely too much, you could probably waddle across the courtyard and check into the hotel. Insider tip: go there around noon and it won't be too busy. we left close to 3 PM and it had gotten pretty full.

Ali C.

Yelp
Excellent ambience, service was that of your standard fine dining establishment and really loved all of the Chefs creations. Packed house but food came out quick and hot. Will I be back? Absolutely! My husband and I love not only the Barking Frog but the Willows Lodge. Beautiful place. Fabulous food... Fabulous people. If you haven't been here; you need to!

Emma B.

Yelp
We had dinner at the Barking Frog for the first time and we were so impressed. Our server, Charlie, was so knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection and gave us great insights about what to order. We started with the bread service which was so delicious when paired with the butter. I got the Atlantic diver scallops and they were probably one of the best things I have ever had. My partner got the filet and said it was hand downs the best steak he's had. We also stayed for dessert and got the crème brûlée which was also fantastic. All this while sitting out on the peaceful patio, which we were told we could sit and have coffee/drinks at for as long as we would like. Truly a great experience and we can't wait to go back.

DeAnna L.

Yelp
We popped into the bar for a romantic, low key dinner. It was perfect! We loved the attention to detail with everything from service to plating to the expertly crafted food. Barking Frog helped us truly forget about our work and relax.

Audrey Q.

Yelp
The location is wonderful, and we sat outside. The service was very accommodating with my grandma who needs wheelchair assistance. The beignets (not pictured) were super delicious and fluffy. Everything tasted good but didn't necessarily blow me away.

Ryan G.

Yelp
Barking Frog has top notch cuisine without a doubt... the space is small and tables tight, but we found ourselves talking to the table next to us! The service was top notch every step of the way... The menu is a bit "fancy" - we didn't groove on much of the items...Going out in a limb, I tried the vegan tasting menu! This was a 6 course tasting meal that was PHENOMENAL. Each course was tiny, but exquisitely prepared and presented. The flavors were outstanding and I was plenty full by the end. My wife enjoyed the skirt steak - wonderful flavor. All in was $300 - not your typical Saturday night but an experience!

Sidney P.

Yelp
Sadly, this is no longer a restaurant I can give high marks to. Though it has always been overly spendy, I have justified it over the years because of ambience, service and local wine list. No more. This place has done nothing but increase its prices and downgrade its food, it's service and frankly, it's ambience as well. After a disappointing happy hour experience about 6 weeks ago (across the street at the bar) and an even more disappointing lunch this past week, I will not darken their door again. Happy hour prices here are anything but happy. And there menu offerings are just uninspired. There cocktails and wine are as excessively priced as they always have been. Their famous Grand Marnier Prawns were terrible; and that was after having had them remade as the first time they came out of the kitchen with no coating at all! Lunch was like an SNL skit. Took 1/2 hour to get a cocktail and nearly 1-1/2 hours to get 4 salads. Cost for salads is now $22-$24, with ZERO protein. Tack on another $10 if you want something more than a few sparse vegetables and too much crappy dressing. Worst service I think I've ever had at a high end restaurant at lunch. This used to be a favorite of ours. It's a shame, but I can't waste $65 for a cocktail and a salad at lunch. Absurd!

Julie G.

Yelp
Just wonderful! Had the lamb chop and it was probably one of the best lamb chops I've had. Also had the infiniti drink and the beet salad. I was too full to have dessert. Next time I'll skip the salad to save room for dessert. Ambience is nice, it is a smaller restaurant. Open kitchen.

Anne B.

Yelp
Our party of eight (!!) enjoyed fantastic food and exquisite service here. It was Mother's Day brunch, the restaurant and patio were full, and the servers were so kind and accommodating. Everything was perfect, right down to the vanilla latte my niece ordered. I am so impressed!

Trista H.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped into Barking Frog for breakfast while passing time waiting for my wife. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Indoors is rustic and pleasing to the eye. Large parties can easily be accommodated. More restaurants should have large circular tables like Barking Frog. The kitchen is visible from the dining area. Barking Frog has a small full bar area with some seating. During our visit my daughter and I sipped on a Bloody Mary for $16 each while reviewing the menu. Our Bloody Mary's were garnished with celery, pimento stuffed green olives, a green bean, pickled asparagus, and a slice of bacon. My daughter ordered the Avocado Toast for $14 + $6 up-charge for two Poached Eggs: once slice of multi-grain whole wheat bread, avocado, feta, pistachio-almond dukkah, radish, sprouts, add two poached. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito for $18 + $6 up-charge for Chorizo: scrambled eggs, potatoes, tomato, onion, chard, avocado, cilantro, pepper jack cheese, and mango salsa verde. Our server was friendly and efficient. Overall, we both enjoyed our breakfast; however, Barking Frog is trendy and excessively overpriced for a standard meal. Barking Frog would be a great choice for a date.

Sean G.

Yelp
The experience was top notch - from the moment we got to the hotel lobby, they were all over making our experience enjoyable! The staff was friendly, excited and pleasant to dine with (we noticed about 5 other couples that were celebrating an anniversary like us, but they made everyone feel special which we both thought was great! This place was awesome and I will definitely be back and recommend to friends! We had the following and they were amazing! - Pan Fried Brussels Sprouts - pancetta/hand torn crouton/fried onion ring parmesan cream sauce. Nothing out of this world, but totally delicious! - Seared Hudson Valley Foie Gras - sweet onion beignet/plum mostarda/créme fraîche This was a unique way as it was seared and not a smear - very tasty! - Denali's House Made Pasta - I can't remember the specifics, but this was AMAZING - 10 out of 10 stars! Jerad recommended adding the house sausage and that was the BEST advice - absolutely amazing. - 16 Oz Beef Ribeye - grilled broccolini/parsnip-potato purée veal demi glace/bone marrow foam The broccolini/parsnip-potato puree and demi glavce bone marrow foam were unreal! The ribeye itself was mediocre at best, especially at that price point. Overall, GREAT EXPERIENCE and highly recommend!

Yelp
I would like to start this review by saying I am not a complainer. The service and staff were wonderful. The food was less than could even be expected. They offered 3 Scalops for $48.00, they were tasteless. I had the Burata salad for $27.00 and the tomatoes were just past green and I had the beets that were very aldente at best. I have never been to this restaurant and will not go back.

Yelp
My friends surprised me with lunch at Barking Frog to celebrate something special and we really enjoyed the beautiful dining room, helpful service, and great food. We had reservations for early evening on a weekend and I barely had time to look around we were seated at our table so quickly. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about gluten free items on the menu and made it easy to find things to order. A couple of my friends had burgers they said were great and another and I enjoyed dinner salads which had delicious fresh ingredients and dressings. We'd been snacking all day so I didn't have room for all the wonderful sounding starters and entrees. Clearly the husband of mine will have to take me back soon.

Yelp
Just had a fabulous breakfast Father's Day. Food was amazing! We've been there before for lunch and dinner, but never for breakfast. We ordered the eggs benedict, breakfast scramble and our 9-year-old son ordered 2 kids' meals (Mac & Cheese and Pancakes), everything was so delicious! We definitely recommend the breakfast scramble! Our server, Jack provided superb service! He was so friendly, always smiling and checked on us several times. He kept apologizing for the long wait (due to Father's day crowd). When we mentioned to him how great the coffee was, he agreed, and he showed us the package - so nice! When we took photos of each other at the table, and Giovanna took notice, she offered to take one of the family....she was awesome! Both Jack & Giovanna provided us excellent service. With great service and fabulous food, we will definitely return. We absolutely loved their breakfast!

Yelp
All I can say is, WOW!!!! I'm no stranger to fine dining, but this is elegance without pretense. If you need to see the prices, perhaps another restaurant would be better suited. However, if you are looking to throw caution to the wind, an adventure to the Barking Frog will guide you to destinations worth the fare. Say hello to Nick. He totally rocks!

Yelp
Chic place with a few great choices for whatever you're dining in for. Eggs benedict can be delicious although the bread was a bit difficult to slice through. Seems like some in my party have had this issue before as well. Its family friendly and has a nice ambience with the interior and fireplace. Service seems decent; keep in mind that they do not have reservations so arrive a little earlier to be seated.

Yelp
Took my wife here for her 37th birthday and we sat in what appeared to be birthday row . Many, many folks celebrating birthdays here and rightfully so, the food is outstanding. We shared all our plates and the menu photos are posted for details. We started off with the salmon crudo which we enjoyed, I personally thought it needed some acid for all the fat, but it was good. Then we moved on to the forest gnocchi, I love mushrooms, wife not a huge fan but really enjoyed this dish, gnocchi was spot on. Our entree we went for the seared scallops accompanied with delicious risotto! The scallops cooked to perfection and so much flavor with the caviar beurre blanc. Bonus points for splitting our plates, this is something my wife and I really appreciated (it appeared to be common as many others were sharing plates). We also love they let you bring your own wine for a corking fee. And I can't forget the delicious dessert, we went with the orange gianduja mousse and it was delightful! All in all we had a great dinner, server was great, food was great and the atmosphere is lovely. It is a bit loud if anyone is concerned about noise level.

Yelp
My husband and I have come here several times as a treat because he loves their huckleberry pancakes. Have to say we were a bit disappointed during this trip. (Not because of the food) We came for brunch on a Sunday and it was fairly late, around 145pm. It wasn't overly crowded. It took about 6 minutes for someone to even acknowledge our existence. Finally someone greeted us and we asked if we could sit at the bar. She said they are no longer seating at the bar. No problem. We were then sat at a table and waited quite a bit to get a drink order in. My husbands old fashioned was not finished and was brought over to the table by someone who wasn't our server. It appeared there was a miscommunication. Our server then noticed the 'oopsie' and he came over and made it right. He also ended up taking it off our tab, so we are happy that he noticed and fixed things for us. The food was great as always, no complaints there. It seemed that there was no management in the front of the house and it was quite evident. Very unorganized. When we got to our table we also noticed that our silverware was significantly dirty and we had to ask for new forks. And it's always quite chilly so bring a jacket!

Yelp
The chicken was undercooked. So I tried to get the server but no one checked our table after they served the foods. So I waited for 10 minutes to tell them about my undercooked chicken. The server took my dish and told about it to a kitchen staff. She didn't apologize about it, also she didn't explain how long did it take to remake the salad. After another 15 minutes waiting, I finally got the salad. no croutons on Caesar salad that time!! they didn't pay attention what they were doing. They changed $30 for this salad. It's not worthy. Food wasn't good and service was horrible.

Yelp
We came here for the first time tonight and were very disappointed. This restaurant is high end with the prices and menu options to match it. There were five of us for dinner, we arrived at 7:15 for our reservation and didn't leave until almost 10pm. It's fair to have a long dinner but this was due to negligence on the staff. There were big gaps of time between the appetizer, entrees, and dessert. It seemed that the waitress was relatively new or just inexperienced. Three bizarre moments were when the salmon was under done (even though she confirmed that it should be well done when placing the order). She asked that we put the salmon on the bread plate and she would take it to the kitchen. The second was when an espresso was ordered and she forgot the lemon. She proceeded to bring out a peel of lemon rind on a napkin from the bar. No plate or anything. The third was that she forgot a side dish completely from our meal and we didn't realize it until after we left the restaurant. Outside of the service the chefs and line cooks were standing around multiple times while we waited for our food. It was odd considering it took us so long to get our meals. The food was extremely slow to come out. Along with the salmon being underdone the other fish dish we had was underdone as well. The rabbit dish was surprisingly spicy and almost too much. The espresso was not good and we were never asked for additional drinks such as refills. The service overall was underwhelming and extremely poor. Here are a few good things and the only reason this meal is getting any stars. The tomato salad was delicious and very refreshing. The desserts overall were good and the only good part of the meal. The lemon poppyseed cake was great and well balanced. The price we paid for this meal was extremely high for drinks and multiple courses. The food, service, and experience did not reflect the price you pay. This was a big disappointment.

Yelp
The restaurant has a unique ambiance is situated next to the Willows Lodge in Woodinville. A favorite breakfast destination with its ingredients sourced from local farmers. A friendly and knowledgeable staff adds warmth to the experience.

Yelp
Barking frog does a good job on their brunch. The eggs Benedict's and french toast are a must. Its a little pricey but the quality of food and experience dining here is worth it. Its a fun place to dine, especially in the summer because it's nice to sit outside.
