Just the name "No Reservations " makes me curious about this new hidden gem.
It's tucked in between Sushi Bombs and A nail salon on Biscayne in a very unassuming strip mall. What a surprise when you walk into NR. You are transported to a sleek, modern wine bar, with incredible features, particularly the chandelier over the bar. Brilliant!
The wines are all natural and lovingly curated from all over Europe. Many of the wines have been made by small, Artisianal vineyards and you won't find them in any other restaurants.
The menu is chef inspired and captures a large range of cuisines. For instance where can you find Duck Confit Tacos, Pissaldiere, and Aroncini with Smoked Gouda, Tuna Tetaki and Rabbit Cordon Bleu?
Definitely original and fresh!
The Duck Tacos are amazing. The Duck Confit is so luscious next to an orange marmalade with cotija cheese on a crunchy corn Tortilla.
Rabbit Cordon Bleu is stunning! The flavors of the roulade are so well balanced and intoxicating on a bed of super ginger carrot puree and fresh petit Peas. It's a standout dish!
Another awesome dish is the Spicy Beet Hummus. Its outstanding with the Olive Crostini, definitely a must try!
As is the Wagyu Bresaola Tartine. Each bite explodes with lively flavors that dance around your tongue. There's preserved lemon, pickled onions, silky and slightly salty Bresaola and a good shmear of that awesome Spicy Beet Hummus on a Crispy Ciabatta Toast!
The menu offers a good selection of fresh seafood, including an Herb Roasted whole Dorada, Seared Scallops and a delicate Monkfish Roulade.
For dessert, the Creme Brulee is one of the best I ever had and there's also a wonderful Blue cheese plate to complete the experience.
I would definitely go again and try some more of the unique wines and truly inspired cuisine.
Because the place is small, you get an intimate vibe with friendly service, it has a true neighborhood feeling.
