We snagged a reservation for a Wednesday evening and got a table up top in the corner. Our waitress was fantastic and had great recommendations. We split the soju flight, pork dumplings, chicken steamed buns, a Bulgoki bowl and a seafood pancake. Good and service was top notch. Great experience for my first dinner in NYC!

Came here for a team dinner. Service was great, food was amazing, drinks even better. Love the Korean style tapas, get to try everything. Will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a chill place to have dinner.

We went to Barn Joe 35 on a Tuesday around 6 p.m. without a reservation and got seated right away at a table for two. The place is small but cozy — it feels welcoming and not overcrowded, which I really liked. The menu has a good amount of options — enough to choose from without feeling overwhelming. We started with the chicken bites, which were super good: crispy, came out hot, and had a nice spicy sauce. For the mains, we had beef bibimbap and bulgogi — both were delicious and really hit the spot. I also tried one of their drinks, which was tasty and a bit unique. They do have a happy hour, but it ends early (around 5 p.m.), so we missed it. Prices are pretty typical for Manhattan: appetizers around $15-$20, mains around $24-$30, and drinks about $20. The vibe is relaxed and pleasant, the service was friendly and quick, and everything we ordered tasted great. Overall, I’d give Barn Joe 35 a solid 5/5 — cozy spot with good food, good service, and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Food was really good. They have a good happy hour drink selection. You can spin the wheel to win prizes when booking a reservation!! One of the best service. Our server checked in on our party multiple times and explained how to properly eat each dish to us. The vibes were great. Pretty spacious (upstairs too).

This Korean restaurant is one of my favorites! The food is always amazing — I love every dish and honestly can’t even pick a favorite. The vibes are great and fun, though it can get pretty crowded during dinner. One of the coolest things is their fancy cocktail flight with four different flavors, each served in a glass that lights up — such a fun and unique touch! Totally worth a visit every time.

It was a very cold Friday but coming to this place made it worth it . The food was delicious, drinks on point and the dessert omg definitely a 10 out of 10 ..

Great ambiance, amazing food and super friendly service! I know the corn is a side dish but it's amazing! Bulgogi, spicy pork and fish toe rice were all authentic and tasty. Highly recommended!

Located in Midtown Manhattan along 35th street. Barn Joi 35 is the place to be if you love Korean food and pair it with your favorite drinks. They have an intensive drink list - cocktails, soju. Upon entering the restaurant, you're greeted by the hostess and seated to your table. The ambiance is cool and chill, perfect for group dinners, family night out and date nights. The drinks! I love love it!!Try the Midtown Forsynthia or better get the four soju taster combo. Also recommend the Matcha, such a refreshing drink with hint of pineapple and not so sweet. We tried some of their appetizers which I truly recommend. The soft shell crispy crab, the soy garlic wings, the calanari with nuts and the fried dumplings! For main dishes- we tried the bulgogi hot bowl and new york strip entree. Absolutely delicious. And presentation was excellent! Overall, the experience was incredible. Such a cool spot to have a great time.

My friends and I decided to try this Barn Joo location after trying the one in Union Square. Service was friendly and quick as the place was pretty empty when we arrived. We did make a reservation ahead of time though. The restaurant is nice and good vibes for a large group. We ordered a lot of shareable items and the portion sizes were small for the high price point. Highlights were the buns and the shishito peppers for me as these were the most flavorful. I expected more from the corn & cheese, but it was lacking flavor and once we got to the bottom, all the cheese was gone since it was a deeper dish vs a flatter one where the cheese can spread evenly. My friends ordered the mocktails and they expected the piña colada to be more slushy, but it was just juice and was very sweet. Same with the mojito, which tasted like sweet juice. Overall, the food was pretty one note, but a good spot for a large group.

Solid but a little overpriced for the portions and taste. If you make a reservation, you can spin their wheel for some freebies - we got kimchi, which was very fermented. There's no banchan served (!!!) so this was it. Fisherman's Stew: this was the best dish, it was so so spicy and full of seafood. But the portion was really small, just barely shareable for three people and while we opted for the ramen noodles in here, I'm really shocked that was a whole pack of ramen because I barely got any? Galbijim: much too sweet for me and the japchae noodles stuck too much to the pot. I think there were only about five small-medium pieces too so not enough to go around as well Calamari and peanuts: we all wondered what was the purpose of the peanuts as it didn't add anything to this dish at all (flavors wise) Soft shell crab: it's just one crab and while it looks pretty big, it's mostly just breading so it wasn't the best at all

I really enjoyed their galbijim! It was different from what I was used to, more on the soupy than saucy side but really tasty and very tender. Its a nice restaurant with friendly service too. I'm not a fan of their clientele if I'm being honest, I had 3 separate occasions in one night where other customers had lack of situational awareness/feel they are more important than others around them. This isn't the restaurants fault but just wanted to call that out that it attracts a certain kind of person.

Korean gastronomy? Love it. Where kimchi meets french fries! We went fur lunch, When I first came in, they made me spin the wheel of Fortune and it landed on free french fries! Yay! The portions are huge. I had the ssam galbi and it came with lettuce cup soup, side dish, rice, and Galbi of course. I couldn't finish it so I had to take half home. We all had different things so it was nice to taste. I'll definitely come back! I'm Hungry just looking at the photos! Service was friendly & courteous.

Made a reservation for 14 for a friends birthday on a Saturday evening and they were super accommodating. Our host was very easy going and helped us set up the tables quickly on the second floor. They held our cake, prepped it with candles and gave us free shots! The food at Barn Joo is never a miss, and I beasted my entire seafood japchae. Everyone got their order quickly and it was all pretty good, especially their lychee soju cocktail and bulgogi dishes. Definitely recommend and i'll be going back!

Overall a 3.5 stars in my book but the staff was really nice so rounded to a 4. It's super fun with the wheel out front that each table gets to spin for a chance to win something like a free glass of wine. I really liked the fried tiger roll out of everything we had. I had the uni bibimbap but it was the smallest portion of uni ever and kind of sad with how little they gave for a giant bowl of rice. I'm almost fine paying more if they could give more for a better ratio of uni and unfortunately the uni wasn't the best quality with the fishier flavor either. My friends also said they liked the bulgogi bibimbap but beef lacked enough flavor. Room for improvement but maybe worth giving a chance.

My daughter brought me here several years ago & ever since I've been having dinners here. Located on 35 St. between 5th& 6th Ave, this restaurant has a great selection of Korean food & great Cocktails, including beers & wines. I love the Truffle Fries & the selection of delicious appetizers & main courses served hot, cold, steamed or fried. The atmosphere & decor is tasteful & modern. Of course, they have their big lighted signature Moon on the wall. The staff is friendly & attentive & the place is good for dinner for two, groups of family, friends or co-workers. This restaurant is worth going to eat if you're in the city & in the area.

Solid but a little overpriced for what you get. The portions are also pretty small, so definitely come with others and share a few dishes. There was no wait when I came on a Friday night but it was lively inside.

I wanted to visit the Bryant Park Winter Village with friends and was looking for a place to eat that was nearby. I called Barn Joo 35 and spoke to Seungyong. He booked my party and allowed us to have separate checks. When we arrived, I found out he seated us upstairs. We had our own private area upstairs! It was very quiet and comfortable. He came up and said hi to us. We got great, fast service and the food was tasty!! I have nothing bad to say about this place except if you have walking difficulties, make sure you are not seated upstairs. Also, use the bathroom before you arrive because the bathrooms are located down a steep flight of stairs. We didn't have any mobility issues and had a nice time at this establishment!

Overall: this place is slept on compared to the other restaurants on this street. Rushing to get a 5 person table at 630 pm on a Thursday we checked Barn Joo thinking we'd need to wait 30 minutes at least. We managed to instantly get a table and get seated and the food experience thereafter was pleasantly surprising. Food: we ordered the corn cheese, spicy chicken with cheese, crispy tofu to start. While very normal dishes the chicken with cheese blew us away with its crispy saucy fiery flavor. The cheese melted on top to add to the fiery bite. Main dishes we ordered the jap chae which was not your typical noodle. The vegetables were stir fried with way more flavor and texture to complement the slippery glass noodles. Not too heavy on the sesame oil either. Lastly we ordered the seafood kalguksu and this pot was the gift that keeps on giving. Loaded with mussels crab felt like a never ending treasure. Ambience/Decor/Service: your typical NYC restaurant with its dark lighting and tight seating. It makes it incredibly hard to take photos as such. Service was a bit odd because we had 4 different servers come ask us if we were ready to order.

This place rocks. On so many levels!!! The tapas fusion forward menu provides multiple options in terms of textures, proteins and spicy/sweetness. We started with a Flight of their signature drinks which ranged from slightly sweet to super sweet -- the cucumber and forsynthe were my favorite -- combination of balance, taste and being refreshing. We shared an order of Galbi (Beef) Buns which were planetarily delicious. The Bulgogi Street Tacos with guacamole and sour cream were tasty and full of flavor. The lime zest was a nice added touch. The fried soft shell crab was different and uniquely fresh with a spicy wasabi mayo-naisy-ish sauce. The surprise side dish were thinly sliced pickled chayote.... What a unique tarty, sweet and crunchy taste. YUM. Friendly, professional and attentive wait service Reasonable prices. I would definitely return.

I had a reservation for 2 people at 7pm on a Friday and if you make a reservation, you get to spin the prize wheel. We won a free soju cocktail and we choose passion fruit which was good and it had an ice cube with gummies in it. We like the cocktail so we got the soju flight which had fruity flavors. The corn cheese was good because it wasn't just corn and cheese like some places, but had some veggies and good sauce. The soft shell crab and garlic shrimp tacos were yummy too. I was too full by the time our bulgogi main came, which had bulgogi, potatoes, and corn. It's a busy, loud, and bustling place to grab Korean bites.

I love it!!! All menu items I got were amazing and they also have good vibes. Def hidden gem in ny!

Restaurant was full and lively at 6pm, luckily we had a reservation. We ate family style and ordered an assortment of items which were a little bit larger than tapa sizes but smaller than standard appetizers. Food was nicely plated. Food itself had a fusion feel to it as they weren't really traditionally prepared but I'm a fan of fusion. Items ordered pictured below (truffle fries we won from the wheel spin demolished before I could take pic) and I would order most again, the only note I have was that the kalbi hotstone pot was lacking in the meat dept. Tip: Make a reservation and spin the wheel for a free food or beverage item.

Went on a Friday and the restaurant was fairly packed with a great energy abuzz. Service was very good, friendly and efficient even for a busy night. Kudos to the team. We weren't that hungry so we only tried two items. The Salomon roll was delicious and flavorful. However, the bbq chicken was very very very disappointing. The was absolutely nothing special or delicious about it. The meat was unseasoned and lack flavor. The accompany items, potatoes, corn, onions etc were unseasoned. The BBQ chicken is one of the signature dishes. Who can you get your "signature" wrong? !!!!

Pickup for dinner in KoreaTown. The spicy pork tacos were tender & flavorful. The Crunchy Tofu came with a side of kimchi which was great to add to the tacos for an extra quick. Definitely want to try more dishes next time.

This place seemed pretty popular and looks of people were there for dinner. The servers were pretty understanding and nice. We got the buckwheat noodles with seafood and it was super fresh and light. It's perfect for the summer. The hwe bibimbap was also super fresh and tasty. It really tasted like the sea hahah. The bulgogi main was also very tasty and the portion was pretty big. There was a good amount of meat with rice cakes and potato. As for the corn cheese it was not bad just some standard corn cheese. Overall the food was delicious. I would go back to try the other mains.

I visited this restaurant years ago and remember it being only okay. It looks like my memory has served me right. Our party of 7 had a resso for a Sunday lunch at 12:15. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share family style. We had: -Shisito peppers - too much going on here. There were onions, seaweed, and microgreens. Plain would have been better. Sometimes, it's best to just keep it simple -Truffle fries - can't really go wrong with truffle fries, can you? -Corn cheese - same situation as the truffle fries. What's not to love about corn and cheese? Although, they topped it with diced tomatoes and peppers, which was a little weird -Bulgogi hotstone bowl - basic -Spicy pork hotstone bowl - it kind of tasted similar to the beef bulgogi so if you already have one type, you don't need another one -Beef japchae - this was good, but if you are a Korean restaurant and you can't make a good japchae, then what are you even doing? -Korean army stew - the smallest army stew you'll ever see For drinks, I had some flavored soju flight. I don't remember the flavors but I don't think any particular flavor stood out to me. Overall, the portions are kind of small and pricey. If you're looking for good Korean gastropub food, there are plenty of other options in the area.

Barn Joo is definitely one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the city and it holds a special place in my heart. Their uni bibimbap is my number 1 go to and will continue to be my go to whenever I stop by this place. it always delivers a burst of flavors that hit my taste buds just right. Most of the other dishes Ive tried at barn joo haven't dissapointed me yet either, but be warned that their are specific menu items sold at specific barn joo locations so for example if you are looking for their happy hour oysters you'd need to stop by their union square location instead. Overall, the service, ambiance, and food at Barn joo always hits the spot for me.

very nice place in midtown. they have a wheel in the front that you can spin for some prizes if you make a reservation to dine. prices are reasonable and the food was very good. we ordered cold buckwheat noodles and a bbimbap and they were both great. service was very quick too so the wait was not long at all. definitely worth a try if you're staying near koreatown and i would come back again.

The service was really good. The lady who welcomed us to the door was smiley and so cute!! Our waitress was also so sweet. The taste of the wings was good as well, my friend didn't like it but I did. The bibimbap was also yummy, but I've had better to be completely honest. It's not authentic but it is good. I went here because I was craving a huge bowl of bibimbap. You know with all the sides. When they brought out a cup sized bibimbap with no sides except kimchi. I was flabbergasted. Absolutely stunned. My face visibly . Maybe I should not have expected so much food, but at any other place I've been to, bibimbap has come in huge servings and a ton of sides. Not to mention, all the other places were cheaper LOL. Lowkey I think I was salty that this bibimbap literally cost like $23, and had less food than the $15 ones I've gotten in California. I like to be fair though and I know this is a nice location and the ambiance of the place was nice so I can imagine they want their profits to be high. I do still think that $23 for a tiny bibimbap serving + no sides is quite ridiculous. If you're not THAT hungry, this place is great.

Visited Barn Joo with a group of 8 for a delicious Korean dinner in K-Town. We tried: Truffle Parmesan Fries (4/5) - Crispy fries made luxe with truffle oil and Parm. Accompanied by a great chipotle mayo sauce. Japchae Noodles (4/5) - Chewy noodles tossed in sesame oil with veggies. Bibimbap Hot Stone Bowl (5/5) - Sizzling rice crisped up nicely in the hot stone bowl. Topped with a flavorful mushroom tofu stew. Amazing! The peach soju is very tasty and friends had ordered multiple bottles for the table that we managed to get through quickly. Barnjoo elevates Korean comfort food and drink in a hip setting! Two floors and lots of tables, great for larger parties.

So this quiant spot was across the street from my hotel in NYC! Stopped here for a quick bite and drinks. The seating is limited at the bar, approx 4 - 6 seats and inside the place are several tables, it can accomodate groups from what I saw 8 - 10, but limited. The food was quick and yummy. The drinks are neat never had Soju. I liked it and it was served as a glowing drink. The server was attentive and helped me decide on food and drinks. Did not disappoint. If you are by Herald Square it's about a block up. Check open time, some of these places open later in the day. Happy Eats!

Yummy food. Love the lunch specials. It was a large portion and had to be shared. The place is small and luckily I had a table since I went early.

Pretty good option in Korea town. We went very last minute and they were booked but offered us bar seating and then had a cancelation so it worked out. It's a cute little restaurant. The food was good. I'm a huge fan of japchae and it was pretty good here. The scallion pancake was also delicious. We also shared the kalgooksu which is the soup with noodles and the Korean bbq chicken. I was disappointed that there was no banchan as there would be in most traditional Korean restaurants to start. Other than that no complaints.

Great food served still sizzling from the kitchen. We tried a great variety of items all recommended by the server. I am not very familiar with Korean food but it was very enjoyable. Drink flight had some too sweet beverages but was small and still fun to drink. Fun location for before a show.

I came to Barn Joo with a party of 7 on a weekday night and we were able to get seated immediately, contrary to other spots within K-Town. This restaurant has a lot of space, with another level of seating upstairs. The spot is intimate and decorated with farm themed items. As for food, I was only able to try the seafood pancake and bulgogi before I had to leave but both were scrumptious. The seafood pancake was textured and paired well with the sauce. The bulgogi was well seasoned and accompanied with corn, potatoes, and crispy rice cakes sprinkled with truffle atop. I wish I could've stayed for the rest of the meal. I would definitely come again.

It was pretty good. Korean food with a bit of creativity. Everything was delicious. Bulgogi tacos, stewed kalbi, japchae, and seafood noodles soup were all good choices. We didn't get drinks but the drinks looked great. Good vibe here with typical K Town feel. Service was decent too. Overall a good spot.

Great spot with great food in a convenient area. We got the Wings and Truffle Fries to start, and they were both warm and crispy. The Hotstone Bulgogi is a staple - a bowl you mix for the perfect bite, YUM!! Lastly, Japchae will always be one of my go-tos, as the noodles have a nice, bouncy texture. Made a reservation for lunch and we were seated right away. The place wasn't packed yet, so we were able to enjoy a lovely meal with attentive service!

Saturday 5:30pm I held off having wings at the previous spot as I love Korean fried chicken and have been to many in the city . The wings were on the smaller side but still delicious . We also got the seafood pancake ( crispy on the outside ), jap chae ( crowd favorite ) , Calamari ( I ordered it because of a friend but wouldn't normally do so in a Korean restaurant, a bit on the chewy side and could do without next time ) and the bulgogi hot pot . Service is good, everyone seem to work hard , the kitchen staff seemed a bit serious ( I hope that they can a little bit of fun , hence smile while at work as they work so hard). By the time we left, it was full and they finally opened the 2nd floor to accommodate .

I've heard some good things about Barn joo; however, my experience for a weekend lunch was underwhelming. I ordered the bibimbap, which is a pretty safe choice usually. This one did not taste or look like a Bibimbap (in a bad way). It ended up more like a sashimi bowl with all the raw fish and fish roe, and then had a sprig of spring mix lettuce (?) and some crunchy stuff that combined had a rather unappealing flavor. I would be fine if it was a tasty bowl of sushi (I like sushi!!) but this combo did not work out with the raw fish and bitterness from the leaves/other toppings. The service speed was average and the restaurant had some nice vibes with the colored lighting. Overall, the restaurant tried an unusual take on Korean food which I wasn't much of a fan of.

if u are interested in korean food especially fusion, this is the right place to go to. The store has been my go-to list for a couple weeks now. finally, i had a chance to try it. It's located slightly away from korean town (32nd), but i know they have several locations. this is closest place near my work place. It has great vibes, like once you enter the store, you can hear the hottest kpop songs, an authentic korean place. enjoy the unique interior and also, they have a bar inside. I think they have a full bar, but I'm not 100% sure. since i was there around late luch time, i didn't need to do reservations. We can enjoy the restaurant with enough time. the server is so welcoming to us and we got a table as soon as we entered the store. They explained to us the food and the recommendations they gave were so excellent, making easy to decide what to order. since i was so curious about the fusion korean menu, i ordered several dishes with drinks. We ordered uni bibimbap/ ssambap/ crunch tofu/ fried chicken and their signature cocktails. the ingredients of all foods are fresh and juicy especially uni bibimbap and ssambap, served with fresh vegetables too. With the ssambap, i chose chicken, which was flavorful and tender. it was so yummy! Crunchy tofu and fried chicken are good too. Especially after work if i need beer, i will get those again and again. House special drinks are served with little tiny light inside. it was pretty enough to take a picture of. the one i ordered contained makgoli (aka korean rice wine). i forgot the name of the drink but it was sweet and so refreshing. if anyone likes fusion korean drinks, please try it.

Came here on a Sat night when being turned away from another restaurant without reservation, we had popcorn chicken, it was crispy and moist but abit bland, pork belly bun was delicious but the bun was cold when serving, japchae noodle was abit soggy and lack of noodles, all the food presentations and drink presentations were great! service was quick and friendly. I think if you're hungry and want to have a quick bite, this is the place, but if you want a real korean experience then head somewhere else in k town!

I came here for happy hour. It's a super convenient location right next to the west side of Union Square. I sat against the back wall. Here, they have tables with clear plastic dividers. I loved this set up because it made the table feel more private. If you make a reservation, you get to spin their prize wheel when you first arrive. I earned a free beer. Neither me or my friend drink beer so they gave us free truffle fries instead. The fries were great. They were thick, crispy, and elevated nicely by the truffle. The spicy aioli dipping sauce was delicious and bursting with flavor. For happy hour, they have $12 cocktails as well as beer, wine, and small plate specials. I got the serrano margarita. It wasn't too sweet and had a seasoned salt rim. Servers were attentive. Would love to come back to try the food next time!

Came here for dinner tonight. It was quite busy, but we made a reservation. When you make your reservation, you get to spin the wheel of prizes and I landed on the free drinks one and it was yummy. The corn and cheese was really yummy and the spicy pork was OK. We also got the buns and they were also OK. Good if you are looking for a casual place to eat with friends. Probably wouldn't come again though.

Great vibes all around! Staff is super friendly, quick service and food is amazing. Music makes you wanna dance. All around wonderful place to eat and highly recommend!

Best vegetable dumplings I've ever had ever!!!!! Literally ordered a second plate when I finished the first. Perfect flavor and texture! Also ordered the Barn Joo Mojito and it was delicious, definitely on the sweeter side. Will be dreaming of this meal for years until I return to the city again.

Came here for a weekend lunch and we ordered the below dishes. The service was great as the waitress was super attentive and patient when we were planning our orders. The bulgogi hotpot and galbi jjim was very tasty. The portions are a little on the smaller end but standard for Manhattan so it wasn't that bad. Definitely recommend coming with a bigger group if you're looking to try more dishes, that way you can order a variety and everyone can eat family style. Music is a little loud but it wasn't too crowded when we got there so it was a good volume for us to talk.

I came here with a group of 9 for dinner. We made a reservation previously and they let you spin a wheel for a prize if you have a reservation. We won a free cocktail, which we followed up on three times but never received. The food itself was decent, but nothing was mind-blowing. My favorite thing though is probably their fisherman's stew with ramen. It was quite spicy but good. I did find it a bit wild that there was no ban chan, which is pretty normal for Korean restaurants. I liked that the restaurant was able to accommodate a large group, but I probably won't be back.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. We had kimchi, a BBQ Chicken Hot Pot, and Bulgogi Ssambap. Mine came with a bonus potato croquette and a shrimp tempura. Unbelievably good and inexpensive. Got 2 kimchi to go it was so good.

Came here on a Sunday night with friends without a reservation and was immediately seated around 7:30p. The servers were very friendly. The restaurant was spacious and had more of a bar vibe but also offer great quality food! They had a promotion where we get free shots or free fries for posting it on instagram, but we didn't want either and they were flexible enough to switch alcohol shots to Makgeolli shots for us! We got the bonchon chicken wings, they were so delicious!! it was probably one of the best bonchon wings I've had for awhile, sweet and crunchy! The other dish that really impressed us was the spicy pork dish. They had truffle oil/taste on the korean pork and it was such a refreshing flavor. Overall we really enjoyed our experience!

Confused by this resturant, the it's a bit of Korean fusion without much of the flavor. It took forever to get stuff and we didn't order much. The corn cheese was extremely oily and didn't have much flavor (same with the wings). The bulogogi was pretty decent though so at least there's a saving grace.

Barn Joo 35 is apparently the place to be during dinner service. The restaurant is filled with people from all walks of life. The dining area is loud and you hear happy chatter with the occasional clanking of wine glasses. Barn Joo is better for parties of 4 or less in my opinion. They seem to have a little bit of struggle with larger parties (like our party of 8). It took the server a hot minute to take our order and we had to request multiple times of other servers and bussers for someone to take our order. It irks me when we have to do this but it was a family dinner so I just sucked it up. The portions size was fair but there was really nothing to rave about. The kimchi they serve is "old kimchi" where it's extra sour due to the extended fermentation. Me no likey. We also got their seafood pancake, bibimbap, parmesean fries, army stew, and tuna bruschetta. None of the food was particularly amazing but they weren't bad either. But for a spot as popular as Barn Joo 35, I was expecting something more instead of just slightly elevated bar food. I might be just nitpicking but I feel for the price, the food should be more sophisticated and the servers/bussers should be more attentive.

Amazing food and service! Would definitely come back again. I recommend the soy garlic wings!

Wow!!! I had the most delicious and beautiful bibimbap here. The service was kind and the right amount of engaging and calm. And my spritz was tasty too! I highly recommend this spot to anyone for lunch in Chelsea.

It's been quite a few months since I've been back, notice a few items missing from menu. Food was great as always, tapas was really good. The galbijim is a must try. Overall they provided a wonderful experience.

We needed a spot for cousins brunch and my cousin recommended Barn Joo 35. I think she's been to the other Barn Joo and so has my sister. I give them props for being able to fit a table of 7 at 12pm on a Sunday. But they didn't really seem too busy anyways, as we weren't rushed out after paying the bill. We ordered a bunch of items to share: - Truffle Fries - Corn & Cheese - Japchae - Bulgogi Hot Stone Bowl - Galbi Hot Stone Bowl - Korean Army Stew For all the tapas, we had to get 2 portions, as they're very small. In their defense, our waiter did tell us they were small and he'd recommend 2 each. The big dishes were also very small. I would say most of them would only feed 2 people max. In any other restaurant in KTown, these dishes would've been the same price but double the size. For the sizes of portions and the cost, I would probably not come back to Barn Joo - at least not this one. I'm also pretty sure I've made Army Stew tastier than the one here. Service was attentive and no complaints there. Again, they were very nice and didn't rush us out after we paid the bill. But if you're looking for real Korean food, go elsewhere.
