SLEEPER ALERT - best BBQ pork in Savannah! You read it! I said it and stand by it! Excellent tea and sides. Large quantities for a fair price. Nice clean bathrooms too. Why y’all giving this place less than 5 stars??? I was in town for work at Memorial Hospital and randomly saw this locally owned place. Decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve had a lot of BBQ across the US and this did not disappoint. Great flavor, great chew, excellent bark. The Mac n Cheese was on point and I loved the slaw. About the slaw! It was an excellent creamy base, but I was wowed with the sweet pickles in it. In all my travels, I’ve never had that kind of slaw. It’s different, maybe not for everyone, but it works pretty good. I was very surprised. Weakest link… the toast. But it worked. The sweet tea was excellent and the BBQ sauce was like a mix of Carolina and regular. I liked it. And finally, Tasha was an excellent server. Give her a raise!

I hope that Barnes will make this right. My order was placed Friday evening for a 11:45am pick up Sunday and we didn’t walk out until 12:40 with our food. At 12:20 they handed me 1/2 my food and we still had to wait on the bread and chicken fingers. While waiting I mentioned to one of the staff that they only gave me 1 lb of the 2 lbs we paid for. He asked someone and looked like he weighed it and assured me it was 2 lbs. Once home I checked and as you can see in the pic below it wasn't even 1 full lb. You will notice the full container that someone picked up from Dickey’s had a full 2lbs in it (more than 2 lbs). The most disappointing part is to see the people coming in and picking up orders placed this morning and yesterday that were served before me. Why wouldn’t the manager at some point just cut off orders until they were able to catch up? Better to disappoint a few with not being able to take their order than disappoint the masses of customers that planned and paid ahead of time. That’s my 2 cents!

We recently had Barnes cater an event for about 150 people ranging in age from 4 yrs old to 80+ and everyone had great things to say about the food. The catering team arrived early and got to setting up. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. They brought a truck with a fryer in the back so they were able to fry the chicken and fish on site to ensure it was fresh and crispy. The brisket sliders went fast! We also had salad, fruit & cheese platter, mac and cheese, chicken fingers, mashed potatoes and gravy, and fried flounder, with banana pudding and peach cobbler for dessert. This is a definite crowd pleaser and I would 100% recommend them for your next big event!

Google
My husband and I just love eating at Barnes. I want to shout out Zhikirrah our server. She is the absolute sweetest young lady. She is so attentive and she gave us the best service. Every time we eat at Barnes we have the best of the best….service and in my opinion the best chicken fingers in Savannah!

Debra Martin

Google
Highly disappointed! First and last time at this place. The server was very personable but they were out out of most things on the menu, ribs, brisket- the things you expect to have at a bbq restaurant. We did find something that was available but it was not great. We watched several people just get up and walk out after receiving their food and we quickly realized why. The food was not hot or fresh. It was mediocre at best, some of it was barely edible. Heed the warning and listen to the reviews. It's not worth your time or money.

Google
I have gone to Barnes throughout the years and their food was good and down home type cooking. I went on yesterday for the first time to the takeout area. My greens were not cooked, they tasted as if they had just been dipped in hot water. I had to throw them away which says a lot because I hate wasting money.

Google
I started going to Barnes In High School. The go to place after a football game. I've had everything on the menu. Great food and BBQ and exactly the same as it was 35 years ago. The best hush puppies in Savannah.

Google
The food has gone downhill! We ordered fried chicken with onion rings and mac and cheese. We also ordered fried pork chops with onion rings and red rice. These meals came with one half a slice of toast. Who gives less than a full slice of bread?? My husband sent the Mac back because it looked old and burnt and tasted the same. My red rice was not fresh. We were some of the first customers at opening, so I'm not sure why the food wasn't fresh. The fried chicken was cooked to order, fresh, and tasty, but it was so greasy that it made my husband's stomach queasy. It was the same for my pork chops, plus most of the batter fell off as I tried to cut and eat the chops. I could have gotten grilled chops if I didn't want batter. We squeezed lemon in our water to try to cut the grease. The onion rings tasted good but were greasy with batter falling off as well. My husband switched the Mac for baked beans, and they were better. Our server was attentive and efficient. We haven't been to Barnes in a while, but the food was never this bad.

Yelp
Food Service & Ambiance is SUPERB! Ms. Joyce, our waiter was such a WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, and PLEASANT DELIGHT. She brings JOY and is the BEST REPRESENTATIVE for customer care and satisfaction. She does her job very well and with a Spirit of Excellency. If you know that you'll come back to visit this establishment again, you will be likely compelled to ask for Ms. Joyce to be your Delightful Sunny Day on any kinduh day waiter. Barnes surely is blessed to have her on their staff team! She's a KEEPER. So do her very well and KEEP HER! Over & Out FranknKimm

Yelp
Fan favorite in our house!! Great BBQ every time. Hushpuppies are to die for (hint: ask your server for some honey & butter!). I LOVE the collard green and red rice as sides, always full of flavor and warms your whole body! Service is great, staff is friendly and fun. It's not typically too busy, but they do often host events (separate space for events!) Cozy booths and fresh food. Definitely a hidden gem here in our Southern Charm City!

Yelp
We had a reunion catered by Barnes this past weekend. Barnes delivered to the site. They brought everything we needed for our event. Delivery was on time and only took minutes to set up. The Barnes employee that delivered was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure all was well before she left. The food was fresh, hot, and got rave reviews from everyone. Great value cost wise. Definitely a do-over when we need another catered event in Savannah. BE

Yelp
Crab cake sandwich was excellent. Wife said turkey was very good, too. Service was quick and cordial. Ambiance was pleasant.

Yelp
Food service was horrible. Party in the banquet room with one server. Lobby looked to have maybe 12 people in it. When I asked for a manager it seemed to be a discussion as to who was coming to speak to me. When i asked how long it was gonna be before the food arrived. Her response was " They are working on it."By the time we got our food it looked like it was sitting under a light still cooking. Grease was coming off the shrimp and the potato looked like it was dry. The entire party was finished eating and ready to go.

Yelp
Excellent food as always. I've dined there for well over ten years. Ms.Sharon and Tasha are both amazing!!

Yelp
Came from Pooler Ga with family and chose this restaurant to patronize. We came in and waited long enough for us to say "where and who is our server" we all placed our order and I ordered the lunch special "served daily from 11 -3pm" ...after 2 trips back and forth to get an order accurate for my other table guest the waitress returns at 3:07 and says unfortunately my order cannot be processed because it's after 3pm. I'm flabbergasted because I'm already hangry and really only able to eat the lunch portion of what I ordered. So she turns to get the manager who also comes to say there's absolutely "nothing" that can be done because it's a corporate issue. Like really, nowhere ever have I seen an establishment not able to honor something so small but yet could have saved my perspective of what a family owned business should be about. Needless to say .. I had my mind made and my budget set to get what I wanted at this particular time but instead I sat and watched my family eat and I did not. They wanted to leave all together but instead we stayed. I know it doesn't matter to Barnes but it definitely disappointed me. Long story short be mindful of loyal customers and how you create returning customers. As Empty as the place is I would have found away to be more accommodating for a table of 4. I would've rated the food but I didn't have any; however, my nephews burger came back raw and uncooked after an extensive wait. Check your food don't want anyone to get sick. Maybe they did me a favor. Lastly, the manager Marilyn has a very unpleasant attitude. Definitely only here for a paycheck.

Yelp
I have eaten at Barnes restaurant several times and my food has always been delicious. The chicken and grouper fingers are the best in town. I ordered chicken finger salads for a manager's meeting and everyone raved about it and the portions were large. I even placed this order last minute and they were able to accommodate and deliver it. We were so impressed with the food and service they have requested Barnes for our next meeting!

Martha J.

Yelp
I love coming here. The food is always delicious, chicken fingers are really good. The restaurant is clean and the customer service is always good. Definitely recommend.

Debbie G.

Yelp
After 3 previous visits returned on a Tuesday specifically for the meatloaf. Easy enough it's their daily special. Waited over 30 min but meat was so salty we couldn't eat it. Waitress asked to give a substitute which we accepted. Recommended the chicken fingers bc it would be fast. THIRTY Min later they were delivered to table and were ok but we were really ready to leave. It took over THIRTY more min to get our check. It was unbelievable. We all looked at ea other and said simultaneously "we're never coming back".it kills me to give 1 Star but it won't allow for ZERO STARS which is my real review

Thomas L.

Yelp
We got Barnes to cater for our office. The chicken tenders and bbq were great. I love there home made honey mustard. The sides were exceptional as well. The cole slaw and Brunswick stew were some of the best I ever had. We will repeat
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
I had grouper with mac n cheese and green beans. They came with hush puppies and a side Caesar salad. The grouper was fried and just awful. So were the hush puppies. The green beans were awesome. So I can recommend a big vat of green beans. Even the mac n cheese was not great. I also ordered a lemon cake - which they were out of and replaced with a pound cake. The pound cake was okay but nothing special. I couldn't recommend this meal but something else might be okay

Yelp
Loved this BBQ joint! The restaurant had a nice southern feel & hospitality to it. The food was pretty delicious! We did get there right before closing so some menu items were out, but that's on us. Our lovely waitress, Joyce, was beyond great. Her humor and sweet spirit made all of us have an even greater experience - and remembering her name is a testament to that! Will absolutely come back when visiting Savannah.

Yelp
My go to spot for a quick salmon dinner, but like everything else things have changed. Limited staff and hours. I always get the grilled salmon, potato salad and green beans. But this time it failed, the salmon seemed under cooked in spots, the potato salad was unusually hard and the green beans had no taste. It was very disappointing so maybe I'll try again in 3-6 months. But I can say when they give you a time ,it will be ready so I didn't have to wait long.
google avatar

Darryl W.

Yelp
A fairly large restaurant with its own parking which was very convenient. The outside was clean, and so was the inside. I liked how the inside decor gives southern hospitality vibes. They're pretty short staffed so it took a little while to get seated, but the waitress was very nice and had a great attitude. I had the fried flounder po boy, the wife had the fried oyster po boy, and my kid had the fried grouper fingers and it was all fantastic.

Yelp
I'm very upset I spent 20.00 on crap. 5 chicken tenders 2 sides was 14.99 plus a 5.00slice of cake. The fries were refried and nasty. The chicken fingers I ate. Thd Mac and cheese was disgusting. Im pissec I want my money back. I'll never eat here again. They clearly don't care about great customer service. This cake is garbage im so damn pissed. What a waste of my hard earned money.

Yelp
This restaurant has southern dishes and different options. This was our first time eating here. The server was holding it down due to staff constraints...she made it work. The food was delicious. I would give it 4.5 stars out of 5 if I could, only because the collards tasted more like turnips or canned, and the catfish was served whole minus the head. I'm more accustomed to filets. The Brunswick stew was okay. The macaroni and cheese is not pot and was delicious. Thank God! The seafood is yummy! The hush puppies were light on the inside and had a hint of sweetness. We liked them as well. The tea was sweet...might need to add some water to reduce it. All in all we had a good experience and will eat there again. We recommend this restaurant.

Molly P.

Yelp
The restaurant is out of food. Put in the order and then someone comes out of the kitchen to say they don't have what we ordered. So we have to go to another restaurant to eat. At this point they need to put a sign on the door and close for the day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for those that visit. The sweet tea is good though.

Yelp
Sorry for the lack of pictures but we were hungry and it was a lunch rush so we were eating for a while for the food. For it to be as busy as it was we got our food in a good amount of time. My fiancé got a 1/2 rotisserie chicken with baked beans and Mac n cheese and he devoured it. He said it's the best rotisserie chicken he's ever had and this man eats some rotisserie chicken lol. I got the 3 piece fried chicken meal with Brunswick stew and collard greens. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy inside and crispy outside. The collards we're the best I've ever had and the Brunswick stew was a little different than I'm used to (it was barbecue based) but it was also pretty good. And last but CERTAINLY NOT least the sweat tea was AMAZINGGGG. The ambiance was great, it felt like a southern sit down restaurant not too dressy not too casual. The service was top tier as well. Our waitress Elaine was the best and was on top of everything considering how busy it was.

Yelp
Well I ordered chopped beef brisket and I got pulled pork- so why 4 stars- it was really good and greasy- maybe next time they can get their sh*t together I heard from a number of people that giving a 4 star review for a place that completely screws up you order and gives you the greasiest pulled pork is too much- OK I moved it down a notch- would I go back is the question/ hard to say- probably not/ better options these days- but have been to Barnes on and mostly off for 30 years AND I WAS CHARGED $ 2.60 more for beef! Wife is really upset - is she right? Probably!

Yelp
I have been going to Barnes for many years. My experience last Tuesday for their meatloaf special was not as good. Everything went ok until I received the check. I thought that it was a little high so I looked at the menu and saw that the price was higher on my check than on the menu. I brought it to the attention of the waitress. She explained that she just pressed and button and the price would automatically appear. She was going to notify the manager. I didn't have the time to wait. I sent a message to them via their website and then a day or so later I made a post on their Facebook page. To date the management has not tried to contact me or apologize. I understand that there are going to be price increases. They should at least change the prices on the menu before changing it in their computers. I was there around 2:30. They apparently had been charging that price all day. They apparently were charging a higher price to ALL of their customers. I hope that management starts doing their job better. Y'all be sure to look at your checks and compare it to the menu when you go there.

Yelp
Most disgusting restaurant in Savannah it tastes like the shrimp taste like bleach like they sat it in Bleach overnight me and my family could not eat it it has dust everywhere ill show you what was left when we left more 3/4 of it don't eat here

Patricia C.

Yelp
This restaurant needs to close the doors. On a recent Friday night there were 2 servers, one poor girl handling a Christmas Party. That left one server. We felt sorry for her, not her fault. The restaurant is dirty, obviously understaffed and no regard for the customer. And no regard for the employees either. If there's no help then close the doors.
google avatar

Larry G.

Yelp
This is not fine dining, but if you are just looking for some good country cooking, this will do nicely. They have a wide variety on the menu, chicken fingers, pizza, seafood, wood fired BBQ, wings, and much more ... something for everyone. Atmosphere is relaxed, with a lot of booths, so it is good for small groups of four. Music is a bit loud, easy listening vocals. My salmon was good, cole slaw was typical, if not a bit sweet. Brunswick stew was heavy on meat, but a tad salty. Two pieces of white toast was a bit odd to accompany a salmon plate, not exactly complimentary. All in all, it was good food at a good value. I will eat here again.
google avatar

Denise D.

Yelp
The hostess and server was very friendly. We were seated immediately. The menu is larger with so many meal options, seafood, salad, burgers and chicken prepared different ways. A little something for everyone.
google avatar

Meredith M.

Yelp
This is the last time I'll be going to Barnes(unless i have a chicken finger craving)! I just paid $10+ for 3 wings and 3 frozen mozzarella sticks and they're stone cold not to mention pathetic that they only give you 3 of each! It would be nice if this was mentioned. I work down the street at a neighboring doctors office and have ordered from here a few times. The last time I ordered crab stew and it was rotten smelling and must have expired! Never again! If you want good food other than chicken fingers don't go here. Totally disappointed!

Brandy H.

Yelp
waitress was amazing and host. Food was sooooo good! it's always been a family favorite . dining area was clean as always

Yelp
Not very impressed. A very large restaurant inside and extensive menu with Southern favorites and BBQ and the like, but the food fell short. I ordered fried shrimp and they tasted fatty and had too much breading. The waitress was sweet but not very professional and asked my advice on buying a house . . . now, I'm not a realtor or anything and I don't think we were even talking about houses, maybe we talked about neighborhoods in general or something but somehow she got on to houses and asked my advice. Which wasn't like one simple question, either, but she stayed at my table talking houses a good ten minutes or more. I hope other customers were not awaiting her. Just not impressed. It seems like a place that some locals must love and probably does a good business with the after-church crowed as it reminded me a bit of a Bob Evans, but I doubt I'll be back.

Tahtiana N.

Yelp
The food was wonderful. The lemonade was a little too sweet for our taste and the brisket could've been more tender, but everything else from the pulled pork to the green beans and especially the onion rings was great. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, the staff were kind and helpful, and the prices can't be beat.

Yelp
I am so glad to support local restaurants who remain consistent in the flavor of their food. I ordered off the appetizers menu because I did not know what I really wanted to eat. I had 4 onion rings, a bowl of crab stew, and the shrimp salad. Well, the presentation of the food was the thing that made me forget (as it always do) to take the coveted pictures of the food! I guess I get too excited and before I know it, empty holes are on the plate and that is not quite picture perfect! Back to the food... I know onion rings are mundane, but THESE onion rings were spiritual. The were light crispy and fried to an airy goodness. The crunchy and sweet texture of the rings were absolutely the best! Next, the crab stew had crab in it. No seriously, it was not crab essence, it was actually loaded with lumps of real blue crab meat throughout the large bowl. It also had a creamy richness to it that did not taste milky at all! Finally, the shrimp salad was rocking too. Shrimp overload salad is what I am affectionately renaming this dish. I will put this in my must eat again when I visit Barnes next when I am in town!

Yelp
I have never been disappointed with the food from Barnes, usually partaking in their take out service most frequently. But I have to say the last two visits to eat in have been dissapointing due to poor service. Now keep in mind the service was not rude or anything, it's just that the food took so long to come out. It was that way for the prior visit as well. The takeout orders are always prepared promptly - I've even waited while it was prepared. This service was strange in that after waiting for the food for quite some time. When we asked about the wait, our server explained that they had run out of pulled pork for my sandwich and had sent someone out to get more - I actually laughed out loud. I've been to BBQ restaurants that frequently run out of brisket or some other cut in greater demand - but pulled pork?!? It's like the IHOP running out of pancakes... After the food arrived to the table our server awkwardly waited there while we ate our first bites to see what we thought... it was all a little weird if I'm being honest. To add to it, my mother's baked potato had cooled while we were waiting for the rest of the order and had gone hard as a rock. I hope they are able to get their wait-times back on track in the kitchen, because this restaurant really is a good value.

Yelp
I am not accustomed to leaving negative feedback. The experience today has broken that thought. The hostess, servers & the artwork on the walls were the best part if this outing. Barnes has been a staple in Savannah for many years. I've had to spend many nights at Memorial Hospital just blocks away and have always ordered meals from them when the hospital food just couldn't cut it. My experience in hospitality runs the gambit from B.O.H. to F.O.H. It has also afforded me the opportunity to work with same amazing chefs in our community. Something has happened in the "kitchen" of Barnes. Something as simple as crab stew had to be returned is a bad sign. The soup was like warm and the chunks of crabmeat were ice cold. Moving to the entree left even more disappointment. Simple 3Seafood Combination. Fried flounder lacked any thought of seasoning, crabcake was overcooked and the oysters were overcooked as well. I ask anyone to see for themselves. I only hope that Barnes gets ba k to its hayday. If not, the future looks dismal.
google avatar

Ron N.

Yelp
I have been searching for the best onion rings in Savannah and these are the best so far. Clearly homemade although the waitress didn't know for sure. The building is huge but decorated in a rustic feel as different rooms The Pulled pork sandwich was huge with large chunks of meat. It had a little sauce on it but I could have used more. The coffee took forever as they had to brew a new pot. Do people in Savannah not drink hot coffee with their meal? This happens at multiple establishments. Food was good and service was quick, except for the coffee.
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
Read their reviews on google. Owners verbally attacked a customer over a bad review because the food was cold. If you cant take a bad review, dont open a restaurant. If you want a betterrating, make better food. .
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
I've had to eat here a number of times because a friend has invited me. The food is bland (other than being over salted), the fries are always soggy. The sweet tea will instantly give you diabetes. The worst part by far is how the owner treats paying customers. He does not hesitate to tell the to "Go F*^k themselves"!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I've been to Sandfly Barbeque and they are much better.

Yelp
Haven't patronized Barnes in almost a year after a To Go employee finessed me out of $10 TWICE.... I let her have it after the 2nd time bc she obviously needed it more than I did to be that persistent. My 20 year love for their fried chicken salad encouraged me to go back once more, but when, yet again, I didn't receive what I paid for and subsequently emailed the manager yet received zero response, I cut my losses. I'm still slightly bitter about the cumulative poor treatment, but I rolled the dice and took my youngest to dine in last week. The server, Tarsha, was WONDERFUL!!! She was fast, efficient and very nice despite being the only server on that side of the restaurant. So the lesson to be had here is, on average People suck, but, if the food is good enough, give it another try and you may be pleasantly surprised. Barnes needs to give Tarsha a raise though since she's literally the only employee I've engaged with there that cares about the customer's experience

Yelp
Dude what happened ? I secretly used to love this restaurant now the best thing and only thing I'll buy from here is there Honey Mustard. Maybe they extended their menu to much in order to be all things to all people but in trying to do that they lost something. I once stayed in the hospital around the corner for a week or so and I only wanted to eat here. If that same thing happened today I'd rather eat hospital food.

Yelp
Ordered via Uber. Quick. Order accurate ribs great! Love their bque sauce. Recommend!

Yelp
I have eaten at Barnes since I was a little girl. It has always been one of my favorite restaurants. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had here. I will most likely not go back. I paid $78 for 4 meals and threw all of them in the trash. I did not include photos of my daughters burger that was so greasy her bread was soggy. I ordered the 30 piece shrinp for my son if was luke warm. My dinner is what you see simply disgusting and inedible. Truly disappointed. I wanted to support a local business but in return this is what I got.

Maggie W.

Yelp
Great fried chicken and brisket. Salads are good too. You may have to wait 30 minutes for the chicken.

Yelp
Great food and fabulous staff, the management has done an outstanding job with the place.

Yelp
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this dining experience! We went based on a recommendation on a stranger at Candler hospital. I need to find va thank him. We were seated right away and ordered the broccoli cheese bites. They were like fried broccoli cheddar soup. So yummy! One of my friends ordered the ribs and loved them. Another ordered the fried pork chops and said it was very good. I had the shrimp, scallops, mac and cheese, fish and baked beans. Wow, huge portions! The scallops were so good! Perfectly cooked. The mac and cheese was so delicious. I wish I had enough room to try everything but I just couldn't. Service was attentive and fast. The decor was dated but in a kitschy sort of way. Definitely a place I would come back to. If you do go, bring your appetite! Its down home southern cooking at its best! Didn't give this 5 stars because they don't have alcohol. Sometimes I like to have a beer, glass of wine or drink with dinner and this place doesn't give you that option.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday; didn't seem too busy in the restaurant. Waitress was kind and polite. However, my friend and I went without refills the whole meal and finally after we both had finished our plates is when she came back around to check on us. Food was decent, but for the quality I feel it was overpriced. Mac N cheese was fairly dry, and my plate was brought out with the wrong sides anyway. However, the red rice I was brought by mistake was pretty good. Grouper fish fingers were ok, the batter didn't have much flavor. Hush puppies were good too. I wish I could recommend everywhere I go as a testament to my good restaurant-picking skills, but unfortunately I can't recommend Barnes restaurant on Waters Avenue. I rated a 2 for the politeness of the waitress but service wasn't great. Food wasn't great, but it wasn't bad.

Yelp
Ordered from here for lunch...a group of nurses. I found hair in my food. We called back to get a credit and the MANAGER told me to bring the food back to the restaurant?? I'm sorry..after I've worked a whole 12 hour shift on an empty stomach bc I wasnt able to eat my food, you want me to bring the food back to the restaurant (that i tossed out bc there was hair in it) to prove there is a hair?? Who would want a hair in their food??? I wouldn't lie about that!! Will never eat here again. Awful customer service!!

Yelp
This review is for Barnes Catering TOP Notch. I have used Barnes Catering for over five years now- for office luncheons, business functions and also for some large, special events. They have a mobile kitchen which is THE BEST. Your guests will enjoy super hot, fresh, delicious food throughout the whole event. Unlike a food truck where your crowd has to wait in line, Barnes Catering will set up the buffet for you and run the food ... so no one has to wait! I have also used Barnes Catering for 300+ people Oyster Roast and they did an outstanding job. They are always EARLY for the event ... they set up everything perfectly. They are well staffed with professional employees who have a great attitude. I cannot say enough good things about Barnes Catering. And oooohhhh if you think it's just BBQ and fried food you are wrong. Ask them about all of their other capabilities! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
We were in Savannah for a funeral and the family decided to reserve the banquet room for the repass instead of at someone's home. We were seated immediately. The staff came in and started taking drink orders. Our waitress came in and started taking our orders and the food started coming out timely. I had a combo with fried shrimp, fried oyster, fried scallops and a crab cake. I didn't like the crab cake and they had no issues giving me more oysters to replace the crab cake. I had Mac n cheese & slaw as my sides and both were excellent. I ordered a kids chicken tender meal with Mac n cheese for my 18 month old and they were both a hit because she ate until she couldn't hold another bite. Our entire family was very satisfied with the food and service. I highly recommended this restaurant and will definitely be back the next time I'm in Savannah.

Yelp
i came today with three of my friends. the waitress rushed us while taking our order and walked away before we even finished ordering and it took an hour for our food to come When there was four tables sitting down eating already. Our food came out cold and very greasy she gave me something I didn't even ask for a $17 burger it was raw on the inside. I will never be back to this restaurant the food and service sucks. DO NOT COME HERE.

Yelp
My employer bought 100 hams last Christmas for the entire staff. I have to say, best ham in my 55 years on earth. Now I've tried all the high dollar hams that I will not mention in this review. Barnes blew them all away. Do yourself a favor, buy 1 ham for your family and another for a local shelter. God bless Barnes!

Yelp
Called at 9 pm on Friday to place an order the girl who answered the phone said that they were closed. Hours of operation clearly states Friday and Saturday that they close at 9:30
