First visit this evening - food and service were excellent. The Sunday gravy dishes are excellent, so glad we were there when they were available. Reuben egg rolls were a good starter. Key Lime Cheesecake was a great finish.

Service is impeccable! Decor is simple and nice. We came for date night drinks around 10:15pm. Ordered the porch and a skinny margarita. Ample seating indoor and a nice patio. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Drinks were strong, reasonably priced and tasty. Bathroom are clean. The patio is lit with Xmas lights and large mists prays for the heat. We will be back again😁 this is a great place to dine and drink with friends and dates.

Google
The food was phenomenal. Complimentary house made chips to start. The empanadas were great. Get the sampler! The guasacaca sauce! Stuffed mushrooms were so rich I only ate one so I could eat my dinner. The burger was perfect. When the meat is ground in house you can really tell. Also the atmosphere and the music. I knew when I sat down and Depeche Mode was playing, this was my kind of place. I will be coming here often. Happy hour prices were great. The quality and attention to detail far exceeded my expectations. This was one of the best, if not the best dining experiences I've had in awhile. Could not recommend this place more.

Google
Unique craft cocktails. My husband had the royale with cheese which was very tasty, even the bun was good. I had the empanadas which were creative flavors but in my experience, not a true empanada exterior and the fillings were lacking flavor and a bit mushy inside. The service was great. The noise level was loud but energetic. Would definitely go again and try some more cocktails and food.

Tried BarNone out on my way home from returning Amazon packages at Whole Foods and this place is awesome!! I got 2 of the blast sandwiches to go, so no photos of it but check the photos and you will see why I love it!! They don’t skimp on bacon! Also, the Front Porch cocktail is delicious and fresh! I will be back bc their food menu is full of things I need to try! Very friendly staff as well! Kara was the bartender that took care of me.

Update - visit from Mar 17, 2021 Came into BarNone a couple of days ago. I noticed the menu has been tweaked for the better. I like that they have more burger options, 1/4lb and 1/2lb. Also noticed the prices have been lowered. Menu looks great! Draft beer is $8, they have local canned beer for about $5.50. Unfortunately they were out of Chingon 😞, next time hopefully. Tried the clams casino and wings BarNone style, both were very good. How about some Peticolas Velvet Hammer, hint, hint 😉. Thank you BarNone, the changes are great and shows you appreciate customer feedback. Nov 24, 2020 - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ From the moment it was announced that BarNone was coming I've been very excited, we need cool bars this side of the lake. We stopped by on 11-24, soft opening still, so went in with that in mind. Good looking place, very friendly bartender, Erik. Now for some honest feedback, food was ok. The burger doesn't come with cheese, it should have some. The grilled cheese was way too buttery, maybe it's me but I wouldn't order it again. The fries were very good and the pickled giardiniera that came with the burger is Delicious. I ordered a side of it to go with my grilled cheese. Please don't remove it. Portions size is great. Beer selection is ok, there was something off on my Deep Ellum IPA, kind of watered down, see the color of it in my picture. Would love to see some Velvet Hammer, yum. I do think that $8 for a beer is a bit much. Menu prices are on the higher end for a bar. I will return, I know in the beginning things have to be worked out. I'm super excited you guys are in the neighborhood, WELCOME!

Google
Neighborhood gem. I always receive incredible service from knowledgeable servers and bartenders. Most recent visit was for happy hour drinks (nice price break for HH!). I'll be back before long.

Google
A polite waitstaff and solid menu variety makes barnone a great stop if you're in the area. James was my bartender and he was quite welcoming. He helped me navigate the menu and select a few of his favorite dishes for my first time in. Everything was delicious and I'm sure I'll be back in the future.

Yelp
Had dinner here before heading to the Arboretum to see the holiday lights on a Tuesday evening. Place was busy for an early week night. Hostess was friendly and welcoming and showed us to a nice booth. Our water glasses were immediately filled and we were provided a carafe of water for the table along with their complimentary house chips, which were well seasoned and tasty! Our server was Sophia and she was friendly and attentive to us throughout the evening! I enjoyed a festive holiday cocktail and my husband selected a beer from the extensive offerings. They offer happy hour pricing Tuesday - Friday from 3 to 7 and since it was happy hour we got the 33% off pricing on our drinks. Score! For entrees, I ordered the patty melt which came with tomato soup and crisp, seasoned fries. My husband enjoyed the No Code burger with fries. You have to ask for the pickles, lettuce, tomato and onion for your burger and when my husband requested all of the above, I also asked for pickles because I love pickles on a good ole fashioned patty melt. Sophia informed us it wasn't actually "pickles" but the "quick pickles" were pickled vegetables and she was happy to bring me some to try. It was a mix of carrots, peppers and onions in a vinegar dressing which was unique and I thoroughly enjoyed it! My overall impression of this place was a perfect neighborhood spot and I only wish I didn't live all the way across town because I certainly would be stopping in weekly for their happy hour and their dinner and brunch specials. Hope to visit again soon!!

Yelp
Greeted immediately upon entering! Served seasoned kettle chips and water as soon as I settled at the bar. How many bars can you say that for?! Chill vibes, love the copper bar. The place is very clean. Definitely not your typical outdiorshopping mall bar. Nice selection of beers, wines, and a full bar. Nice happy hour and weekday specials. I ordered the Royals with Cheese, as it was on special. Given the choice of half a dozen cheeses; I went with provolone. It was a good choice. The quality of the cheese was very apparent. The burger itself was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Loved the seasoning on the shoe string fries. Very tempted to come back and try either the cheesesteak egg rolls or the Reuben egg rolls next time.thanks for the great service, Alexander!

Yelp
Great great food and service. I can't tell you what it's like during busy hours but our brunch for two was fantastic. The mimosa was delish and the Bloody Mary spicy! Make sure you order it with Tito's. It's now in our rotation to keep trying one of everything.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice place for meeting up with friends. It was very quiet there at 5:00PM. Great Happy Hour specials 33% off drinks. The chips are amazing. I was there for a post work at home break. The quote on top of menu was plagiarized from Butch McGuire who founded Butch McGuire's on Division Street in Chicago Illinois.

Yelp
Slightly upscale neighborhood bar. Service was a lot of younger folks, not that it's a bad thing, but didn't seem very engaged in the service. Food wasn't anything to write home about. Fries were the best thing I ate - really enjoy the seasoning on them. They do have a parking lot which is nice.

Angela G.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambiance were all 5 stars! We were on our way somewhere else and decided to try out BarNone's brunch. The mimosas were offered with lots of different juices ( pomegranate, peach, mango, and guava were our faves ) and the food was chefs kissSmashed potatoes, the sausage, the eggs: all delicious. But honestly our service may have been the best thing about the experience Darryl had such a great energy. He was able yo provide good suggestions and even better conversation. Can't wait to go back and try some different menu items :)
google avatar

Yelp
Yikes. I hate leaving bad reviews, especially for neighborhood restaurants, but BarNone left a lot to be desired. Let's just say there is a reason why all the restaurants around it have a 40 minute wait on a Friday night and BarNone doesn't. The service was less than. Our waitress didn't seem to know the menu. We ordered pretty basic items (cheeseburger and chicken sandwich). Those came without ketchup, mustard, onions, lettuce or tomatoes. Apparently you have to request them? The prices for the entrees don't match what the customer receives. Something isn't adding up here. Unfortunately, we will probably not be back.

Yelp
Great food and service. We were at White Rock Lake all day and then enjoyed a delicious dinner at BarNone. The grilled salmon with the coleslaw was delicious. My husband had the Italian grilled cheese. The atmosphere is wonderful. We sat at the bar. The dining area is wonderful with tablecloths on the table. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Bob S.

Yelp
I've been here many times but won't be back again after my most recent experience. My friend and I both ordered the Greek salad with a simple request - chop the chicken before bringing it out. Cutting chicken that sits on top of a salad is a beating and it should take less than 15 seconds for a skilled chef or assistant to cut it in the kitchen. The response from both our server (can't blame her, it was her first day) and the manager, "Our chef will not cut the chicken." Despite doing this on request multiple times in the past - maybe our normal server, Darryl (who is great) was doing it on his own. In any event, convenience and even quality and good service isn't enough to make me want to give my business to arrogant people who don't value their customers. We have many great choices in this area and I look forward to visiting them soon. Sorry Darryl!

Yelp
Y'all @barnonedallas is a pretty cool spot. I got the Cheeseteak eggrolls (the dipping sauce stole the show, without it the eggrolls would just be a 4ish, but with the sauce they went up to an 8) I also got the Royale with Cheese hamburger. I added bacon because why not (& I love bacon) I've had some tasty burgers and this one is definitely on the list. SIDE NOTEdo not order the steak. It is just a hamburger patty on the plate yall! No lie. Just an FYI! It was good af, but it was no steak‍ And please let me not forget about their drink deals! They have weekly happy hour deals as well as their bomb weekend drink specials ($2 mimosas, $3 Tito's Bloody Mary, $3 Deep Ellum Draft Beer

Yelp
Came back for brunch and wasn't disappointed! Chicken and Waffles was great.. only thing they need for breakfast food is some type of preserves or jams.

Yelp
BarNone is one of those places that you just can't help but love. It's close to home, the food is solid, they have great service and it's perfect for meeting up with friends and having a great time. We started with the Meat Combo Empanada appetizer that comes with the Chicken Tinga, Shredded Pork and Short Rib. The chicken tinga is a little smoky from the tinga sauce, the short rib empanada just melts in your mouth because of how savory and tender that short rib is and of course the shredded pork is just as succulent as the others. These are fried and have a crispy pastry exterior & come with pickled onion, chimichurri and a chipotle cream sauce for dressing. For dinner I ordered the Patty Melt and it checked off every single box of what a good patty melt should be. The patty itself is perfectly seared Wagyu beef with a lovely crust from the flattop with grilled, chopped onions, dijonnaise sauce that adds both creaminess and tangy acidity and of course, the sexy, melty cheeses that brought it all together like an old school grandmother who won't hear of any fighting at the family reunion. Grab your friends, your family and get to BarNone.....and don't forget grandma!!

Yelp
Decent food. Empenadas really good. But c'mon....$14 for a house chardonnay? Really? El Vecino next door won't take you for a ride with their drink prices.
google avatar

Dena F.

Yelp
Fantastic happy hour until 7 pm. Beer, wine, liquor, and appetizers included. I suggest the Sunday Gravy--which has nothing to do with the gravy you have for breakfast. Giant meatball and Italian sausage in a thick tomato sauce. It's so good, even not on happy hour pricing. Love this place!
google avatar

Yelp
I had high hopes and I haven't ruled them out yet. We went mid Sunday afternoon and I think they were having a staff meeting and interviewing people. Service was spotty, but we were ok with that. We both ordered burgers...I got mine with fries, and my son got the chips. The chips were served at room temperature...a few degrees higher and they could have been great, but at room temperature they were disappointing. My fries were well seasoned, but they tasted exactly like a corn dog! I like corn dogs, so I thought they would be okay...but a few fries in, the flavor grew more intense and kind of sickening. The burgers were ok, nothing special. I asked for pickles (I swear the description promised house made pickles) but the server said they only have pickled vegetables. On the positive, their ice tea was fantastic!

Yelp
First time trying BarNone, and i have to say i was extremely confused with what i was walking into. On one side you have tables with white table cloths and on the other it's very much a sports bar feel. Not sure if it was a new fusion of sports bar and fine dining or what. I ordered the "calamari" as an appetizer and was pleasantly surprised with the taste. Great fry and seasoning, and the sweet chili sauce had some good acidity and brightness to it. However when it came to my actual meal i ordered the "patty melt" which was dryer than the Sahara desert. The meat to bread ratio was lacking especially for it being 15.95. My server was outstanding and greeted the table with a smile every time. She was definitely the saving grace, and why i gave 3 stars instead of 2.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE SOOOO MUCH!! We first found this place on open table and it had just opened good and we gave it a chance. The drinks are so good and the foods even better. The people are the sweetest always. We recently went again more recently and I was happy to see them slam packed. Love the prosperity and elevation!! Bar crew was super nice during our visit and food & drinks STILL so good!! This will always be a reoccurring spot for us.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has the best appetizers, food and cocktails in town! We go here for date night or to watch a game! Salmon Fish & Chips recommend and/or some of the best burgers you can get!
google avatar

Wayne H.

Yelp
Drove by this place a lot, but the neighborhood Facebook page recommended it. We were not disappointed. We went for brunch. The $5 Tito Bloody Mary was perfect, strong and not heavy. Brunch plate was a lot of food. Open face hot dog was great! Only thing I would add is raw onions instead of grilled onions.

Lynn D.

Yelp
Excellent service from the moment we entered. Drink menu is extensive and food is trendier than typical bar food. Salmon and grits included a thick steak and tasty cheesy grits. Italian sandwich on toasted sourdough was delicious! It included a small bowl of tomato basil soup (which was thick and could be a spread on the sandwich). I opted not to have the spicy cherry peppers on my sandwich thanks to our sweet, observant server.
google avatar

Yelp
good spot to chill! i love that they have games to play while you're enjoying your dinner on the patio with a live band! food was yummy & the server was very kind & attentive!
google avatar

Alisha W.

Yelp
Service was great, food just okay...cute neighborhood vibe! I wouldn't drive across town for it- but if I lived in the area, I'd be down.

Erika A.

Yelp
I just left this place and I was very disappointed with the service. The waitress walked past us several times and never acknowledge us. We sat for over 20 minutes and she never came to the table. A family came in after us and sat a table away from us which she attended right away. We eventually just got up and left.

Kiki F.

Yelp
The ambulance was great. Clean inside and it had good service. The food was delicious with good portions and not crazy expensive
google avatar

Chelsea H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and elevated menu with vegetarian options. I mention that because although I'm an omnivore, the Trail Runner sandwich(one of their meatless options) was fantastic. I also tried the Bar None burger and it can hold its own with the buttery brioche bun and house-made pickles. I look forward to returning and trying more of the menu. The only unfavorable mention is the Bloody Mary that was a bit watered down with too much coarse black pepper-I kept sucking it up in my straw and it wasn't pleasant spitting it into my napkin lol btw I'm single haha. ANYWAY I hope this place sticks around as it's a great neighborhood spot for all occasion.
google avatar

Yelp
First time at Bar None. Was skeptical about the branding. I'm more of a dive bar guy. Turns out this place is great. It's like a dive bar owner came into a ton of money and upgraded. Good atmosphere. Good music. Great food, but unpretentious. Best of both worlds. And child friendly. And the happy hour rocks!
google avatar

Chayce K.

Yelp
We live right up the road and there's a good amount of food options in our area. BarNone is on our top list of preferences when we feel like eating out. From the warm hello right when we walk in the door to the attentive service from every staff member that interacts with us, you feel at home. The food is simply prepared but with mindful skill and fresh ingredients from local farmers. Best "bar food" that I've ever had, many more meals to come :-)

Dennis L.

Yelp
A great family owned restaurant with great food. The service is top notch and the amount of Pearl Jam memorabilia adorning the walls is awesome!!!
google avatar

Oscar A.

Yelp
Great food and such a good vibe!! Happened to stumble across Trivia Night and it was definitely a lot of fun!! I tired out their Brisket Grilled Cheese and it was delicious!!
google avatar

Jimmy K.

Yelp
Great place for brunch, lunch, dinner or a happy hour. This is probably one of the best happy hour spots in East Dallas. $4 shots and call it drinks, half off appetizers and half off bottles of wine are tough to beat. The drink selections are great and the appetizers were tasty. Try the cheesesteak egg rolls and barnone wings. Great flavor and excellent price for happy hour. We will be back!

Mark T.

Yelp
I've been to Bar None about 5 times. I want to like this place but may not be back. On 2 separate occasions the Jason's double-double burger has come out with absolutely no seasoning. I thought the first time was a mistake but I guess they don't season the burgers here. It was devoid of flavor. I wish there was a better selection on the menu so I didn't have to order a burger. At tonight's visit I ordered a sidecar cocktail and out came a fruity punch-like cocktail. I'm not exaggerating but every time my wife orders a beer off their menu they do not have it. This has been going on since Bar None opened.

Ari B.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place. If you're looking for a good late night spot this is the place! Our food was so amazing, me and partner enjoyed the staff, they were so kind.

Shaheen M.

Yelp
Met up with girlfriends after sooo long. Our requirements were great food and drinks and a place that we could sit and gab for hours. BarNone exceeded all our expectations. Space is open and inviting AND Everything we had was delicious! This is only a portion of what we ordered. Forgot to take pics of the rest.
google avatar

Sheila S.

Yelp
Excellent happy hour promotions and delicious food. Happy hour is generously scheduled from 4-7 and includes drink and appetizer specials and free house made potato chips, yum! The stuffed mushrooms were so flavorful and burger amongst the best we've had. Absolutely coming here on a regular basis following this first visit!!
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
My review on this neighborhood eatery is overdue. Everything from the friendly service, to the food and drinks is beyond excellence. Give BarNone a visit and you will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Ginger S.

Yelp
Wait staff was attentive and the floor manger was nice. The inside is nice and clean. I wish i could give the food a higher rating. We did most of the 1/2 price appetizers. The mushrooms were overly salty! Way to much salt! The avocado toast lacked a lot Ans the bread wasn't toasted so is it really avocado toast? Ahi tuna lettuce cups were ok but a little on the fishy side. Chicken wings were good. Nothing spectacular as far as food, nothing really stood out or sets them apart that i couldn't get at any other place. At least the wait staff is nice and attentive. I'm not sure we will be back nothing we ate would have called us back. I hope the owner maybe asks the chef to do something different and inventive. I will say the dishes were neatly plated. Not our kind of food but maybe yours. Give it a try you might like it, it just wasn't for us.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Went to 2 other places to watch a game before coming here. 1 had bad service and the other a limited menu. Came to BarNone since it was local and am very glad I did. I ordered the garlic park wings which were very delicious and a very generous serving of wings. Also ordered the double burger before the wings came out since I thought the wings weren't enough. Should've waited. Wings Almost got me full but the burger looked/smelled awesome. Happy to say the burger and fries were also delicious. I was so impressed with the attentive staff and the flavors that were coming out of the kitchen. Will come back soon!

Asheley B.

Yelp
When we arrived, they were not very busy but quickly filled up some seats. They are social distancing ish. Not a big deal to us because we're vaccinated. The manager came over to introduce himself first before our server came over. We started with the cheesesteak eggrolls and the empanadas. The eggrolls were fine but the empanadas were to die for. The short rib empanadas changed my life. I'm not kidding! The flavor on these is impeccable. Our second favorite were the potato and cheese empanadas. Chicken tinga was awesome. I'd come back just for the empanadas. For dinner, we ordered the Royale burger and the Gigaton sandwich. The burger was disappointing. I was very excited about it but was left feeling unsatisfied. It was very small and cooked well done. There was no flavor. I did add grilled mushrooms and they were good. I didn't finish the burger. However, the Gigaton was delicious and full of flavor and cheese! 10/10 would recommend the Gigaton sandwich. The serving sizes are outrageous. We had to get a to go box and usually we never do that! The service was okay. We got waters on time and always had our drinks full but the servers looked like they'd rather be anywhere else and were always staring at a tv (there are several TVs). Overall , I would recommend this place for East Dallas.
google avatar

Nancy B.

Yelp
Wandered over here after dinner to listen to the live music on the patio. What a great atmosphere! Both the earlier and later entertainers were out and the draft beer menu was enough to please everyone!
google avatar

Benjamin N.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place when the restaurant that we were looking for was closed, but what a great find! Barnone is the type of neighborhood place that you want to have in your neighborhood. The service was great and so was the food! I ordered the Barnone Burger and it was huge and amazing. It says it weighs 10oz, but it felt like the heaviest burger that I have ever picked up. I mean, it was so big that I couldn't even finish it.
google avatar

Geoff F.

Yelp
The food took almost an hour to come out and there were maybe 15 ppl in the place. The sausage gravy looks like cheese soup. The fries are over salted. Service was nice but took ages. They don't tell you they don't have Coke Zero but rather quietly give you Diet. They gave my friend a cheeseless cheeseburger and he never said no cheese. The breading on the chicken for chicken and waffles was crispy but poorly seasoned.

S B.

Yelp
I thought it was going to be upscale bar food but I was wrong. There's only a couple entrees on the menu that AREN'T sandwiches/burgers. I settled on the cheesesteak as nothing else on the menu sounded appealing in the slightest. Im betting the burgers are fine but I had one for lunch so didn't order one. It came out open faced and covered with 1/2" of cheese. The bread was buttered all to hell. It's rare for me not to finish my meal but I just couldn't do it for fear of the consequences to my body. The fries were good and the chips weren't bad.
google avatar

Christell B.

Yelp
Great east Dallas restaurant and bar. The Happy Hour specials extend to 7pm. Happy Hour includes half price bottles of wine. Our favorites- Italian Grilled Cheese, Short Rib Grilled Cheese, Double Double Burger, Wings, Jennand spinach & mushrooms. The homemade, thick cut potato chips while you wait are tasty. We like to sit at the bar but they also have a nice covered patio.

F H M.

Yelp
My first time to visit BarNone... Really liked the thought of my Wagyu Chopped Steak meal, but the execution was poor. Ordered it medium, yet majority of it was rare/MR. Sent it back to have it cooked more. Baked potato was not hot and slightly undercooked. Service was pleasant but extremely inattentive. I'll probably be back because it's close and the menu seemed interesting, but my first impression was poor.
google avatar

Fernando C.

Yelp
Never knew this awesome place was here, so close to us!! Happy hour is great, food was amazing and the staff was on their game. I have been thinking about wings, tuna lettuce cups and wedge salad for 2 days now.

Yelp
We walked in on Sunday, ordered a beer and asked if we were in time for brunch... 30 min later had to go to the bar to pay for our beers because Out server never came back to check in, take our order... nothing. Super disappointing. We will just stick to their trusty neighbor El Vecino... they have NEVER disappointed.

Amy C.

Yelp
We live nearby and root for this place to succeed but every few months we give it another shot and always end up disappointed. Menu is too large, food is not good and service is always too slow/disappointing. It is priced too high for what it is. Really hope they revise their menu and food to be dramatically better. The best thing about this place is that it isn't busy enough to be on a wait.

Sara G.

Yelp
Like many others have said, the service is severely lacking. Please remind personnel that they are there to serve and not comment their own feelings about what a customer is wearing, saying, doing, or who they are with. I had to deal with Shania and after her unsolicited "advice," I ended up not even ordering anything.
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
We stumbled onto this delightful place Sunday after walking out of a large chain near by. The food was hands down delicious! The atmosphere and employees were both great! We will for sure be going back!

Yelp
Great, fresh food. Good service and atmosphere. Nice outdoor sea as well with missing and sun screens.
