15 Lively Seattle Restaurants for Big Group Dinners

"Hidden in the anonymous office buildings of Denny Triangle, spacious Barolo has a centerpiece communal table that seats up to 22 in the middle of the dining room. Group menus with seasonal Italian dishes are available — think house-made gnocchi with pheasant ragu or seared duck breast and mushrooms — and the attentive staff has a rep for being great at communication, a relief for anyone wrangling large parties." - Meg van Huygen, Mark Van Streefkerk, Jade Yamazaki Stewart, Adam H. Where to Eat Near the Washington State Convention Center In Seattle | Eater Seattle

"This business lunch stalwart has been around for a long time, but with no loss in quality. Barolo does mostly coastal Italian fare — king crab fettuccine, vongole in bianco, penne con salmone affumicato — and the white tablecloths, colossal wine list, and dapper waitstaff never crack a smile. Dr. Frasier Crane would take a first date here. That said, everything’s fantastically prepared and perfectly plated, right down to the late-night bar menu." - Meg van Huygen

I really don’t understand the hype around Barolo. There are plenty of Italian restaurants in Seattle that offer similar—if not better—experiences at more reasonable prices. The service and atmosphere were fine, but the food was underwhelming across the board. The calamari starter was okay, but the tomato sauce was so overpowering it masked any real flavor. I ordered a pasta dish with meat, but oddly enough, it didn’t come with any pasta—just a dry, overcooked piece of meat (despite requesting medium). The portions were surprisingly small, especially considering the prices. Dessert was also disappointing. The tiramisu didn’t resemble a traditional Italian version—it lacked ladyfingers and felt more like an Americanized interpretation. Even the espresso martini needed correcting because they included Baileys instead of sticking to the classic recipe. On top of all that, they automatically add a 20% service charge plus a 3.5% additional fee. You’re essentially locked into tipping 25% whether you like it or not, and that’s not something I’m okay with—especially when the food doesn’t justify it. Bottom line: for the price, you can have a much better Italian dining experience elsewhere in Seattle. This was a one-time visit for me, and I won’t be returning

We had the pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant and can’t recommend it enough! The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The food was equally impressive. The sablefish was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor in the squash puree, while the gnocchi with sausage was out of this world. The menu offers a variety of unique and creative dishes, ensuring there’s something for everyone. What’s even better is that they have more options than those listed on their online menu, as it changes regularly to keep things exciting. For exceptional food, great service, and a unique dining experience, this is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of traveling from Sinaloa to Seattle, and without a doubt, one of the best decisions I made was visiting this Italian restaurant. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the best risotto I've ever had in my life — and honestly, the most delicious and authentic Italian dishes I've ever tasted. I was lucky enough to meet the chef and owner in person, and not only is he originally from Italy, but he’s also one of the coolest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and it shows in every detail — from the beautifully presented dishes, to the incredible wine selection, and the music, which for me is such an important part of any dining experience. Here, the music is perfectly curated — stylish, elegant, and sets the perfect mood. The service was excellent — attentive and professional. Whether you're going out with friends for a special night or having a romantic date, this place is an absolute must. I honestly don’t understand how anyone could leave a negative review — it’s clear when comments come from envy rather than actual experience. If you're ever in Seattle, do yourself a favor and try it. It's one of those places that makes the entire trip worth it.

Honestly I'm disappointed. The best part about my visit was the drink naked and fabulous. We ordered the octopus for starters which lacked a bit of flavor and came Luke warm and the mash that was with it was cold. Second for my entree, I ordered the lamb which itself was amazing along with the creamy cauliflower, but the kale that I received smelled like spoiled milk. Literally. I Had to send it back. Then in the midst of our server Rick (I think his name was) coming back to inquire about a replacement dish and sides, he steps on my partners foot the whole time and not once acknowledged that he was trying to tug his foot away in pain nor did the server apologize. Although my dish was replaced and I was satisfied. The experience was embarrassing. Safe to say we had higher expectations and were not coming back.

This Italian spot is really nice and super convenient with the bar open until midnight. I had the risotto, which had great flavor, but I’m used to a thicker, creamier version—this one was looser, which they explained is more Sicilian style (the shell on top is just the shell, no extra lobster there). My husband had the gnocchi, which was very good. The real highlights were the tiramisu and the chocolate tartino cake—both were absolutely amazing!

Went for a birthday dinner and it was exceptional! Darko was our server and he was extremely attentive and helpful!! We got the fettuccine di mare and it was very delicious! Be careful squeezing the shrimp out of the shell… those puppies really fly.

Google
Pretentious place with very mediocre food. The complimentary focaccia with olive paste is ok. We tried the antipasto misto, a mix of appetizers, all of which tasted supermarket quality. The lobster risotto was pretty bad; the rice was falling apart and the dish was soupy instead of creamy, nothing like an actual risotto. The gnocchi were also very questionable, they felt made out of paste. The "naked and fabulous" drink looked like a poorly-made smoothie, and neither the taste nor the texture were appealing. The ambience is quite pretentious. We had to request a table change cause ours was very wobbly (of course, after we sat elsewhere, they set it up again for someone else to dine at it...). Everything goes for a chic look but is actually cheap, like the plasticky chairs. The service was substandard. Taking our orders took too long, much like bringing out the main courses, and basic things like properly wiping the table were overlooked. Moreover, our server was not friendly at all. To top it all off, there's a 3.5% surcharge (which is very discretely called out on the menu) for absolutely nothing. At $156.48 for two people, this was a very disappointing experience.

Google
Barolo has quickly become one of my go-to spots in the city, especially on Sundays when their happy hour deals feel almost too good to be true. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and inviting, making it a great place to wind down the weekend. What really stood out was the calamari spaghetti, easily the highlight of the night. Perfectly cooked pasta, tender calamari, and a flavor profile that was both bold and comforting. Every bite was a reminder of how Italian food should taste: simple, high-quality, and deeply satisfying. But what really takes Barolo to another level is the incredible value during happy hour. It’s rare to find this level of quality at such accessible prices.

Yelp
We had a couple of nights in Seattle, staying downtown, and ended up heading to Barolo for supper the first night, mostly because it looked like a good place and we could get a table at a reasonable time. We walked in and were immediately seated at a nice table right in the middle of the place. A plate of excellent focaccia came out right away, with a dipping sauce that had minced olives floating in olive oil, which was also very good. Then we sat for quite a while before our waiter came over, introduced himself, and took our cocktail order. He came back shortly to tell my wife that they didn't have one of the ingredients for her cocktail (a Vieux Carre), but that the bartender would sub in something else that would, trust him, work well. That trust was well-placed, as the resulting cocktail was excellent - maybe better than a standard Vieux Carre. My Tuscan Sun was also very good. He then took our order. My wife went with the gnocchi and I ordered the bavette steak. The food came out reasonably promptly, was hot, and was absolutely excellent. My wife loves gnocchi, orders it frequently, and said that Barolo's might be the best she's ever had. The dumplings were light and covered with an amazing truffle cream sauce. My bavette steak was perfectly medium rare, tender, and served over arugula and shave parmigiano. The chef here really knows what he's doing. Upon finishing our excellent food, we then sat. And sat. And waited. And watched our waiter saunter around the restaurant serving others and more or less ignoring us. It got a little ridiculous. Finally, he came by, took our plates, and dropped off dessert menus. And then we waited some more. And waited some more. And finally, he came by to see if we wanted any dessert. We didn't (we were too full and none of the desserts were all that inspiring), but I ordered an espresso and the check. Someone else brought the espresso out and a while later, our waiter brought the check. So, to summarize, this place has a top-notch bartender, an excellent chef, and the food was phenomenal while the service kinda sucked. Our waiter just didn't seem to have it together, and this really affected the experience. A competent waiter would have turned this from a four star to a five plus star review. As it is, we'd almost hesitate to go back. One other member of the staff does deserve a very positive note, though, and that was the busboy. This guy was all over the place, setting and clearing tables, serving water, bringing out doggie bags, etc. He was constantly patrolling the floor, and my wife was so impressed that she stopped him on our way out to give him a tip. (I think this might have confused him a little but in a good way.) Four stars. Mike sez check it out and hope that you don't get our waiter!

Yelp
Literally could not convince me this is a sister restaurant to Cinque Terre across the street. 1) Our waiter was impatient, very impatient. Would not take the time to answer our questions about the dishes. We had a vegetarian in the party with dietary restrictions, he was not helpful at all with questions. Always seemed like he was in a rush no matter if it was the ordering, or food delivery, or the check. Evidently took his time with other tables, probably because they opened a bottle so they have a bigger tab. Subpar service. (We went to cinque a hour before they closed for the night and stayed until 11, a hour after they closed. They welcomed us warmly and never rushed to kick us out. It was an absolute amazing experience from start to finish) 2) One of my go to plates for all Italian restaurants nationwide is the lobster risotto. That, here, is a joke. Not even creamy. Sauce was the the literal foundation of the plate, was also watery. I literally thought I had to mix the rice with the sauce after the fact. Nope. Didn't help. Lobster was tasteless. Shrimp was tiny. I also thought I'd get (some) lobster in the shell itself but I just got an empty shell. (I got the seafood soup at Cinque just 3 days earlier. Their lobster was much, much better) 3) Decor was alright. I don't know when this restaurant was designed but there's probably a ten year difference in design at minimum between this and Cinque. Floor was also sticky. Tables also felt cramped; originally we were seated on the couches and they put me in between two tables. I requested to move to one of the corner tables to be out of the way after another patron closed tab and left. I will not be coming back here again and will not recommend to anyone if they find themselves in downtown Seattle. Cinque is where it's at. Usually sister restaurants are very close in comparison. This was...not it.

Yelp
Cane here on a Friday night briefly after 9pm and seems they have happy hours till close. They have a bar/table section specifically for HHs that's apart from their normal tables, and the happy hours section is almost fully seated already! Served with their bread and chimichurri(?) sauce. I absolutely love their bread, different texture with some salt and herbs. I wish it was warm as these were served at room-temp cold already. Love the sauce that's served in their escargot dish, cooked simple yet beautifully. Their calamari alla livornese has amazing tomato sauce, bright salty and acidic enough from the olives. However, i believe they are served raw but lightly cooked from the heat of the sauce? That way you actually get to taste the sweet and freshness of the calamari! However, this section of the restaurant at night is really dark especially if you are seated at the tables. We can barely read the menu not to mention to see what we are eating. Which is why i had a lot of (?) based on what I can taste in texture and flavor than visually confirming it. Also, there was a party by the bar and there's a lady who was there before & entire time we were there and she was hella loud while talking to someone literally sitting right next to her. Otherwise, great place, decent service kinda romantic ambiance with the torch candle on each table.

Yelp
Came in for a weekday dinner with a couple friends. We had a reservation so we were sat pretty quickly. We were greeted by our server quickly, gave us our table bread, asked for our drink order, and then kind of left us. We had to wait a little bit to actually order food but it wasn't terrible. For food, we ordered the vongole spaghetti, the bucatini in bolognese sauce, and the octopus appetizer. The octopus was delicious. Perfectly cooked, not too chewy, the mashed potatoes made a good vessel to eat with the sauce. My only qualm is not enough octopus. The vongole spaghetti was okay. The sauce was super light; there was some flavor but I would have preferred more. The clams were pretty good. The bucatini was the star for me. The sauce was meaty and rich, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. I wasn't a huge fan of the service. The people clearing the tables cleared one of our plates while we were still eating, and I overall felt kinda rushed towards the end of our meal. We also weren't offered any dessert at the end. We didn't want any, but it still would've been nice to be asked. The server also asked if we were celebrating anything after we had paid like it was an afterthought. The place itself is cute. Tables are spaced pretty close together, and it can get a bit loud when it's busy, but the space feels cozy and not claustrophobic. All in all, okay place. I'd give this place a 3.5 if I could. Not great service, but really good octopus and bucatini haha

Yelp
This was our most anticipated meal in Seattle, because of the lobster risotto we saw all over the Yelp page. So glad to report that the lobster risotto lived up to the expectations. The risotto was perfectly creamy & cheesy and the lobster was buttery & tender. The portion was pretty large for one person, but I was happy to have leftovers! We also ordered the tiramisu and it was decadent. The service was swift and attentive. The restaurant is dimly lit and very intimate. It's great for a special occasion, date night or just a nice "treat yourself" meal. I'd love to come back the next time I'm in the city!

Yelp
I've always had a great dinner at Barolo! The most recent visit was for a work group dinner and we celebrated some birthdays. The lobster risotto was fantastic and there were generous portions of lobster and shrimp. Gorgeous plating too. I've had the carbonara and clam vongole pasta dishes before and they were both big tasty portions. They even helped us split two dishes to share. Service was great and attentive. It was kind of them to give out birthday desserts as well. Their gluten free chocolate tort and tiramisu were both divine.

Yelp
Fabulous! Flew in to Seattle on our way to a cruise. The tape name was delicious! Can't wait for our food!

Yelp
Their happy hour is always great. Been coming here for years with friends and family and it's still just as good as the first time. We have one gripe recently, however.. the female bartender who served us one evening seemed especially particular about the quality of her service depending on who she was serving. We had already eaten, but came to Barolo for an after-dinner drink. We were hoping to get some bread to munch on. We asked our bartender serving us, and she proceeded to bring bread to every other party except us. My friend suggested it may be racially driven, due to the face that we were the only ones in the bar who weren't of light-colored skin. If that's the case, it'd be incredibly disappointing. I'm going to be optimistic and hope that's not the case here. Every other server and host was lovely to us.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly. We went on a whim, and did not have a reservation. They couldn't seat us in the restaurant, but explained that we could get anything off the regular menu in the bar, so we went in and got a little table for two. It was romantic, even the bar tables had candles. It was a little bit loud, but not overwhelming. Husband had the spaghetti carbonara, which he very much enjoyed and devoured with relish. I had the lobster risotto, which was very good. I have to say it was a little bit on the salty side, but it was still very tasty and had large pieces of lobster, with the empty lobster tail on top as a garnish. I also had a Manhattan, which was very good, & strong! And to finish it off, we shared a cannoli, which tasted very authentic and was delicious! I would definitely like to go back another time when we can eat in the actual dining area, as it seemed a little more relaxing and romantic over there. The prices were average for this kind of food in 2025. We arrived shortly before six on a Sunday, and there were plenty of people, although it was not at capacity. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, very efficient. And the food came in a timely manner. So this place is a good option if you're looking for decent Italian food in a romantic setting downtown.

Yelp
Great service and fun vibes. Really tight bar seating but they had a happy hour! I didn't even realize they had happy hour on a Friday afternoon so this was a great surprise. The spaghetti carbonara was really yummy, a huge portion and cheap ($12ish?). The tuna tartare was AWESOME almost like a deconstructed poke. Def would get both of these again. Espresso martinis were $7 and strong but also really thick so if ur tummy is sensitive maybe opt for a different cocktail.

Yelp
How do you spell rude? It's D-A-R-K-O. Our waiter was horrible! He was incredibly pushy and was rather upset that we didn't go with all of his recommendations. He kept insisting that we ordered 2 gnocchi and 2 spaghetti in clams (without the spaghetti because it's too much pasta!) to share. I had to argue with him that I particularly like the clam dish because of the pasta and he shrugged his shoulders and made some offensive remarks. We ended up ordering what I wanted, 1 gnocchi and 1 spaghetti with clams. Thank goodness we only ordered 1 gnocchi, it was awful! It was overcooked and really mushy and oily. The pesto sauce was the worst I've had! The flavor was bad and no one from our party of 7 liked it. The waiter was personally offended that we didn't like the gnocchi that he raved about. He said he liked his pasta extra soft. I had the chef's special, which was the halibut. The fish was tender but the dish itself wasn't memorable. I tried a piece of my friend's beef shank and it was really tough in texture and heavy in taste. The tiramisu dessert was good, but that's the best thing I can say about my experience here. I would not recommend this restaurant. If you happen to dine here anyway after reading my review, please do yourself a favor and ask not to have this particular waiter. The restaurant itself was really nice. I just think that if we had a different waiter, our experience would've been completely different.

Yelp
First time coming here and I'm not even an Italian type of food girlie but this place was soo amazing!!!!!! Though we got there like right before the kitchen was going to close, our server was able to bring out everything we had asked for. The ambiance of the place was such a soft lighting intimate for birthday or couples. The grilled Caesar salad was soo amazing i literally ate that soo fast... i just didn't like how the bread wasn't warm when it came out.. i think that's something they should do.

Yelp
The food was way beyond my expectations. Such rich in flavor. Very tasty. The service is amazing and very good too. The ambients dark and sultry with pleasing colors and textures along with soothing music playing in the background. Please check it out. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Server was good, had minestrone soup, cheese board and calmarmi spaghetti. The noodles were not cooked to perfection and I felt the cheese board was very small for what we paid. Atmosphere is cozy beautifully decorated restaurant.

Yelp
I attended dinner here with a party of 18. We had a set menu. The fourth course was a choice between beef and fish. I had the fish and it was amazing! Most others in the group had the beef option and felt it was dry with not much taste to it.

Yelp
Amazing HH!! Went on weekday around 5pm and didn't have to wait to get seated. They give free limited bread. Good pasta portion and delicious. Antipasto misto was a good variety. Calamari alla livornese was just the right chewiness. Our server was nice and they came back to fill our water every now and then. The restaurant has dim lighting perfect for date nights but also gathering with friends!

Yelp
Holy cow, this place blew my socks off!! The atmosphere is very upscale, very clean, and very welcoming. The servers are all very professional and warm to the guests. We had Alex, and she was absolutely amazing. Our glasses were always full. The escargot was fantastic (best I've ever had), the braised beef was stellar, and the chocolate lava cake had a deep, rich flavor (be careful, it's hot when it first comes out!). 10/10, will definitely be coming back!!

Yelp
Finally back in Seattle ! And this place still remains one of my top 5! I always need to stop by here when I am in town for town. Happy hour is still amazing ! Bar service is great - you cannot go wrong with their happy hour offering and prices. And the food quality is still great! I wish I had a couple more people to join me so I can order more!
google avatar

Katherine G.

Yelp
The happy hour here is fantastic! My friends and I came for it on a weekday and were able to get seated at the bar right before happy hour ended. Their menu has quite a few options, all of which are 50% off. I got the calamari dish which wasn't fried but rather in a rich tomato sauce. It was so surprisingly good and flavorful! I loved the little bread crumb pieces inside as it added such a nice seasoning. They also give complementary focaccia bread which was DELICIOUS. So soft and just the right amount of rosemary and salt. I would definitely come back to try more of their happy hour items - so worth it!

Yelp
I can't stop thinking about the spaghetti! Here's what we ordered: - Spaghetti alla carbonara: Noodles, bacon, decorative greens, and a load of amazing sauce. Granted, there aren't many times to the dish -- bacon strips and noodles mostly -- but the flavor is on point. This dish has my absolute favorite spaghetti sauce of all time. I really do think of this sauce spaghetti often. The first time we came to Barolo, they sat us at the couches. It was slightly awkward to sit in, but the waitstaff were really nice and attentive! I regrettably forgot our server's name, but she was so very kind to us. That's what got us going back! The second time we came to Barolo, we tried their happy hour menu, which was available only at the bar. We had a really difficult time ordering, asking questions, or even getting a menu and water. In short, the bartender was overwhelmed, and when we asked other waitstaff for help, we were told "That's what he's for", pointing at the bartender. We eat pretty quickly -- in probably 15-20m, but the entire meal took maybe 90m. The restaurant definitely gives me date-night vibes. It's dark and moody, with nice seating and plenty of wine racks. In short, incredibly delicious sauce -- the best I've ever had -- but sparse portions of meat. We had polar opposites in terms of service, on the two times we went, so I'll chalk it up to a bad or busy day. I will go back.. on a less busy day!

Yelp
Had such a nice Valentine's Day dinner here, loved the special I had for my entree - bacon wrapped prawns with mushroom risotto! This felt like a hidden gem, as we often go to Belltown for dinner but not this particular part of the neighborhood.

Yelp
We had our team holiday dinner at Barolo and they curated a four course menu (plus dessert) for us. By the end of the night we left very full and happy! I love that the restaurant catered to our individual dietary restrictions without altering the dishes too drastically. They offered a vegetarian alternative for each course and were careful to adhere to our needs. Thank you to the staff for a great dinner!

Yelp
This was our 2nd time and both times ordered to-go meals. We really enjoy the rigatoni and caesar salad (although its small). My favorite thing is the service of the host...SO kind and helpful that it's enough to make us want to keep going back. Inside ambiance looks intimate and modern.

Yelp
This is a great Italian restaurant that offers one of the best happy hours in the Seattle area, competitive to similar establishments like List and Cinque Terre Ristorante. The highlights here are the food, service, and ambience, while the (minor) lowlight is the price compared to other places (but still very good given happy hour). Happy hour is pretty generous here - you are not restricted to the bar. I made a reservation for 2 at 5pm Friday and just to be safe, I made a note that we would like to participate in happy hour. Reservations weren't needed but suggested, as there were a lot of empty bar seats available, but you'd likely want reservations if you prefer a table. We were seated at the tables, and we were able to partake and receive the happy hour discount. Happy hour is 50% off all the items on that page of the menu, and wine is $7.50 per glass or $27 per bottle! We got the calamari (calamari alla livornese), veal carpaccio (carpaccio di vitello), rigatoni (rigatoni con sugo di carne), and meatballs (polpette di manzo). The calamari is not the fried calamari but rather it is covered with tomato sauce, capers, and olives. I do prefer this type as it is more hearty yet healthier, and it is more flavorful. The calamari is pretty fresh as well. It is a good appetizer. The veal carpaccio is also good - it has a bunch of arugula and cheese on top, but that it did not really detract from the main ingredient. Think of the veal carpaccio as more of a prosciutto. The rigatoni is cooked perfectly to al dente, and it is fairly large in pieces of pasta. While I am generally not too big of a fan of ragu, this one is executed fairly well. The meatballs are probably my least favorite as they were a bit mushy / over processed in texture, but this is mostly a preference as they may have intended the meatball to be like that. Service is excellent. The waitress gave us sufficient time to look over the menu and answered our questions, and she refilled water constantly whenever the opportunity is given, which is fairly frequent. She did a sufficient amount of small talk that was just not too overbearing, as we enjoyed the dinner. The ambience of this place is dimly lit and can be quite romantic, so it is a nice date spot, but I went here with just a friend and enjoyed the experience nonetheless.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots for happy hour in Seattle! It's absolutely gorgeous inside - there is a bar area as well as booths, tables, and couch seating. The last time I was here, we were seated on couches with a low table, and it was cozy and comfortable. The food prices during HH are amazing, and the portions are huge, even by regular menu standards. I got the calamari, which was very filling and ended up only being about $14. I would caution that people tend to be a bit dressier here. I came in with my backpack after work, so I definitely felt like I was one of the most casual people there.

Yelp
Still amazing food and service. The Carbonera was sooo good and of course the bread and olive oil in the crushed olives was a great starter. My wife had the special of the day cod and was very tasty and fresh veggies that garnished it. It is always busy and I guess everyone had discovered this gem in the heart of Seattle. Reservations highly recommended.

Yelp
Food and service was great. The atmosphere is excellent. The owners are Italian and use authentic Italian recipes. I highly recommend this place for a date night.

Yelp
Delicious! Comfort Italian in an aesthetically pleasing place. We booked a last minute bar reservation for dinner & were pleased to have been seated at a table in the bar section. The escargot was hot & savory. My hunny loved his Ossobucco (I tasted it and it was very flavorful) & I really enjoyed my fettuccini de Mar!

Yelp
Starting with the good: food was good. We got the antipasta platter for our starter which was very sizable and delicious. Got the rigatoni and pasta carbonara for our main courses. Portions were well sized and also very tasty but a little salty. Now onto the not so good: Our waitress knew absolutely nothing about wine and if you're working at a restaurant called Barolo, you might want to know that Barolo IS Nebbiolo (she said "nebbiolo grapes are lighter than Barolo" and proceeded to she shared these wines "don't have ageability unlike Napa cabs" which could not be further from the truth! They seriously need to train their staff better on the wine, especially given how basic this information is. We felt more embarrassed for her than anything... overall a good dinner, but would go elsewhere next time.

Yelp
A Solid 4 star from me. We went in a big group today (13 of us) and the place was pretty packed on a Wednesday dinner. I have been here before a long time ago but honestly I do not remember much. This place is a lot bigger than I recalled and they definitely can accommodate bigger groups (with a reservation of course). Their wine list was solid and the drink menu was great. I got to try a few of their appetizers and they were all very good. My favorite has to be the tuna tartare. I ordered the gnocchi with rabbit meat and it was very very good. Braised rabbit meat was not only tender but it had great deep flavors. I also got to try a bite of the lamb shank and man that was super soft. It just melted in my mouth. I have never had lamb like that before. For dessert, I got to try gelato affocato (it was just okay), tiramisu (which wasn't very good), and cannoli (my favorite of the 3). Service was amazing and the venue was very nice and intimate. I recommend this place for a date night or a company/office outing.

Yelp
I was disappointed by the lack of care from the bar staff. My boyfriend and I went to grab a cocktail and a little snack after walking around all day. One lady dropped a food menu, I had to flag down the other for a drink menu. Didn't say hi, just put them down. Very unfriendly. One girl was scantly dressed. Not tasteful for a restaurant that oozes class. Sadly the service was lacking and rude so we left. The restaurant is beautiful and the prices looked good. We choose to go somewhere else. The bar staff will drive off all female business if this continues. Good luck. Won't be back.

Yelp
We dined here last night with three other couples. First impression: we were seated in a little cove that had a chandelier above the table. There were long draping curtains for privacy from the table beside us. It looked quaint and charming. That was where the good vibes ended. On the other side of the curtain was a table of 14 who were celebrating like they were in a sports bar. Behind us was an equally loud obnoxious table of 10 and just beyond them was another table of 12. We could barely have a conversation with the person seated next to us much less anyone else at the table. The food was ok I would not say exceptional. I had the heirloom tomato caprese - it was delicious and the eggplant Parmesan - not so much. The restaurant should consider limiting the number of large tables in an evening. I would never go back again. Over priced and the noise ruined the entire evening. What happened to proper restaurant decorum?

Yelp
Came for dinner with a fairly large group. We started with several appetizers- insalata mista, Caesar salad, prosciutto and Parmesan plate, and calamari. All were delicious! For entrees, several in the party had pasta carbonara, and others had tuna tartare, rack of lamb, and seafood pasta. All were very well-liked. Note that they have gluten free pasta, and it's delicious- different than the usual corn-based kind that tends to fall apart. This one was tube-shaped and a great texture and bite. The carbonara was excellent. The restaurant is also very accommodating. They were able to make a custom gnocchi dish for a picky eater in the group. Service was also excellent. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. The ambience is classy/trendy, but not stuffy. Some diners were dressed very casually in shorts and sweatshirts, for example. Would recommend for a great Italian dining experience!

Yelp
My friend and I came here for their late night (starts at 9pm) happy hour. When we arrived, we sat at the bar and ordered dinner. Food: The happy hour has 50% off their bar food menu, which provides such a great value! I ordered the eggplant parmesan, and it was absolutely delicious. The amount of cheese was a lot, but it was perfect for me because I love cheese. My friend ordered the steak. It came sliced with some green beans on top. My friend thought it was good, better for the price. Service: Service at the bar was friendly and quick. The bartenders were busy serving everyone on the bar tops and constantly making drinks for the main dining room. Our food came out promptly after ordering. TL;DR - good food and can't miss happy hour deals

Yelp
The restaurant dinner offers a simple variety of Italian food in a dim-lit intimate setting. Their appetizers are unique, and their desserts are true Italian classics. My only advice would be for their entrees, which in my opinion, slightly lacked flavoring. For appetizers, we experienced the grilled caeser salad. You are presented with half a Romaine lettuce, grilled, finished off with their caeser dressing. It's a fun experience eating it as you cut it into pieces as opposed to a traditional salad that's pre-cut. For entrees, we had the veal and spaghetti with calms. We felt the dishes were slightly lacking, perhaps both in seasoning and flavoring. As for the spaghetti it tasted fresh, but the sauce was only carried by butter and white wine. For dessert we had the tiramisu, and it set a new expectation for me of what a real tiramisu should taste like. The lady fingers in coffee, cream, and espresso grounds were all well-balanced; well done to the chefs! The service was also great and friendly! Overall, I would come back and give their other entrees a try along with another serving of their tiramisu!

Yelp
Great service, relaxed atmosphere, and quality food. Wine selection is mostly from Italy but there are a few Washington choices. Delicious herbed salty focaccia as soon as I was seated, and the accompanying oil had a tantalizing flavor profile. Rigatoni bologanise had just the right amount of meat and cheese, noodles were perfectly al dente, and it was served piping hot. Mango sorbet wasn't an overpowering flavor, which is probably a good thing but it could have just been me after several glasses of wine by that point. Overall a nice meal, albeit somewhat noisy inside.

Yelp
Very nice interior and ambiance. Waiter was smart enough to leave a business conversation going, and not get in our faces. Wasn't too impressed with food for either appetizers, charcuterie board was lacking imagination, grilled octopus was minimal, the split romaine heads of Caesar sales was very good. For entrée I had a salmon "special" witch consisted of 5 rolled up thumb size salmon with fancy cold salmon that was forgettable. Sorry Barolo, less than impressed.

Yelp
If you're looking for a bartender who can turn a night out into an experience, look no further than Heidi. She doesn't just mix drinks--she orchestrates the bar like a conductor leading a symphony. Every pour, shake and stir is effortless, and she keeps the rhythm flowing even on the busiest nights. Not only does she craft incredible cocktails with precision, but she also brings an energy that makes you feel like a VIP. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, she remembers your drink, makes spot-on recommendations and keeps the vibe just right. If you haven't had a drink made by Heidi, you're missing out. Five stars aren't enough!

Yelp
Stumbled upon Barolo since it was near our hotel and was pleasantly surprised! They have an amazing late night happy hour after 9:00pm, where all their bar food is 50% off! We got some complimentary bread to start off and it came with an amazing olive dip. We ordered some happy hour white wine, which was a Pinot Grigio that day. Tasted great and was $7.50. We ordered a few items to share - the beef carpaccio, calamari, and the rigatoni pasta . Beef carpaccio tasted great and had lots of arugula and shaved cheese on top. We were pleasantly surprised by the calamari since it wasn't fried, and the tomato sauce was so good we asked for extra bread. The pasta was also hearty and delicious. Overall lovely night, though it's quite dark in the restaurant and service was slower in the end.

Yelp
This is such a beautiful and romantic dinner spot! I went with a friend and we loved the ambience. It was definitely in the more formal side, but we didn't feel judged that we were dressed somewhat casually. The servers were very funny and friendly. They didn't rush us with our orders and were very good with explaining the dishes. We ordered the calamari as our appetizer and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. We also got complimentary bread with oil and Italian herbs. The bread was delicious on its own already but the herb and oil mix made it better. I forgot to take a picture of my lobster risotto, but it was delicious! It was buttery and creamy and gad a healthy taste of the lobster and shrimp. It didn't feel or taste too heavy or seafoody at all. My friend got the pasta Al vongolle and she loved her dish as well. We also got both of the mocktails. She got the rosemary spritz and I got the Italian punch! I loved my Italian lunch because it wasn't too sweet. She liked the spritz more because of the rosemary so it was a win-win! I'd love to go back here on a double date or even a group date so we can order more food next time!

Yelp
Great escargot on happy hour. Pheasant ragù gnocchi always a must! Great service always! A an elegant atmosphere without being overpriced. White table cloths on all the tables and candlelight all around. I only came across this page cuz I wanted delivery which I don't think they offer. So I know where I'm going tomorrow!

Yelp
Came here to meet with a client for dinner (I would not recommend coming here for business meetings, because it's incredibly loud in there). Food was delicious and fresh, and the service was great.

Yelp
we stayed at a hotel near Pikes Place and were walkers, so everything had to be within walking distance. Parking wasn't an issue for us, but it seems to be a bit of scarcity in a lot of downtown Seattle. we enjoyed the food, ambiance was nice, and staff was friendly. rlw

Yelp
Always a solid bet for a date night or lovely dinner with friends. The dim atmosphere is romantic and conducive to intimate conversations. Our server was just fantastic, you can tell he genuinely seeks to make the guest experience wonderful. I typically enjoy sparkling water with lime all through dinner and he not only brought us a carafe of still water but he also brought one out of sparkling for regular refills. Top notch. He was attentive without being intrusive and just super nice and helpful. Highlights: The Rigatoni pasta was perfectly cooked al dente and the tomato meat sauce tangy and flavorful. I will get this again. The Clams with spaghetti was also cooked nicely but I think my preference is for linguine. Flavor was amazing and clams plentiful. Decaf coffee also rich and rounded out the dinner nicely.

Yelp
I can't speak extensively about the food menu, but the three items we had were great: the charcuterie, beet salad and polpo (octopus). The complimentary focaccia can accidentally fill you up before your meal arrives if you're not careful. The Italian wine menu is pretty extensive. I was underwhelmed by the Washington State wine options considering Yakima and Walla Walla are just hours away from Seattle. The ambiance is elegant and spacious. Great date spot. The service was on the money. Friendly, helpful and checked in periodically. On the pricey side. Street or garage parking.

Yelp
Omg, I'm kind of glad we didn't go here until our last night in Seattle because I would have wanted to go every night for happy hour. They have happy hour daily with half off bar menu. The food is amazing, the bar area is awesome, and the bartender was amazing. We had the carpaccio, carbonara, escargot, and calamari. I normally love escargot but their's had a different twist that I didn't care for. I can't recall exactly but it wasn't the normal garlic/wine. You really don't need to order a main, just get apps.
