"New Age Cocktail Bars It’s always a nice thing to see young Moroccans making their mark in a city that brings foreign investors by the droves—and the Hadni brothers have certainly done that in the shape of Baromètre. More akin to the speakeasies of New York and Barcelona than the posh hotel bars of the Red City, the brothers have come up with an innovative list of attention-grabbing cocktails that come in puffs of smoke and bespoke stemwareandcomplement crowd-pleasing gin and tonics and Grey Goose martinis, while the decor has more in common with a glamorous turn-of-the century pharmacy than your usual drinking den. Recently they’ve added gourmet tapas so you can make a night of it, but like the cities that inspired them, the later you go, the livelier it will be."

"Despite Morocco’s high taxes on alcohol, you can still find excellent bars in Marrakech. Barometre serves especially imaginative mixed drinks in elaborate custom glassware, as well as beer and wine. The bar also offers a full, multicourse food menu to go along with the drinks, but don’t expect to find any tagines. Fresh, modern dishes include risotto-like mhamsa with clams, crab salad with prawn cream, and duck-leg confit. Barometre is perfect for couples or a night out with friends. Just be prepared for a check inflated by taxes. [$$ - $$$]" - Amanda Ponzio-Mouttaki

This was one of our favorite places in Morocco. The best food I've had at a cocktail bar, and the best modern Moroccan food we've had in our two weeks in Morocco. Their cocktails are delicious and innovative, and most of their cocktails can be had without alcohol. We got the Churchill and the Rosée du Matin. The Churchill is great if you like smokey drinks, and the Rosée du Matin was nice and refreshing. To eat, we got the Tanjia cubes, cheese cigarillos, and the (obligatory) Moroccan salads. All were very flavorful and well seasoned. We also got bread rolls, which were tasty and a welcome break from Moroccan breads. Service was very attentive and friendly. Another plus is that smoking is not allowed in the restaurant part.

Tapas meet Moroccan food great fusion and clever ideas. The cocktails are mixed well and presented perfectly. The staff are attentive but not imposing and proud of where they work. Thoroughly recommend

What an amazing a quirky place in the Gueliz district. The food was full of flavours and the cocktails are creative and tasty! Momo was our waiter and he provided a great service. It even has a no smoking area which is hard to find in Marrakesh! If you are looking for nice cocktails, good food and somewhere a bit different, then this is the place.

A lot of thought and creativity goes into their cocktails, and the vibe is laid-back and inviting. What impressed me most, though, was the food. I honestly didn’t expect it to be that good, especially since they were only offering a limited menu for August, but every dish tasted amazing.

One of the best cocktail bars I have ever been to. Original, engaging and inventive cocktails. The staff were lovely, the atmosphere and decor is great. They use all of their own infusions. You have to visit this bar!

Best cocktail bar I have been to. Very special design of the entire bar and drinks menu unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I am happy to pay above the normal price for a cocktail when the design is such like the Barometre cocktails. Very special experience and would always come back when travelling to Marrakech again
