"Truffle hunting is a bucket list item — and Domaine de la Truffe does it right. The estate has 150 acres of truffle beds, a hotel, and an on-site restaurant. Take a tour with Serge Desazars, who’s been truffle hunting since the ’90s, learn how they’re grown and harvested, and dig for them with the Domaine’s truffle dogs. The Domaine offers a variety of experiences: you can take a helicopter ride there from Paris, or spend an entire weekend at the hotel exploring the truffle beds, harvesting your own, and eating them for dinner in the restaurant. It also has a shop to buy truffles, a mandoline for shaving, and truffle-based products to bring home. But keep in mind, since truffles are so prized, they don’t advertise their location.
