Gem of a place. The atmosphere is truly priceless and would be worth a thousand Michelin stars if rating it was possible because a place like this cannot be recreated with money. You can feel all the love in this home, in the ingredients, and in the cooking. Food is incredibly fragrant and flavorful. The guava juice is made from the guava grown in the frontyard. I had been dying to try this place for a while and we finally got the chance on a Sunday. Unfortunately, they were under construction so it was pick up only. We ordered the menudo and the chilaquiles plate. Sadly, the menudo was very disappointing. It had absolutely no flavor, only a few pieces of hominy, and tasted like colored water. The tortillas were also really bad, which made the dish even less enjoyable. The chilaquiles were okay, but very soggy, which I understand can happen with to go orders. Well known chef and no consistent schedule, but well worth the drive. You can set up your time and food when available and show up to be seated once there. We had the chilaquiles and they were so flavorful and made with quality ingredients. The sauce is made from scratch and full of flavors... Cafe de olla also 5/5. I don't usually like coffee like this but will have it from here.

Sooooo sad, just moved out here from Orange County and wanted to try this place out, but couldn't because we were so far away....I got a piece of carrot cake and a horchata...drink was 5$ for a kid size water cup. Carrot cake isn't even the size of my hand and it was also 5$ wife got a coffee for 5$ and it was mid..also a cinnamon bun for 5$ and it was sooo dry…I'm all for supporting small business but this is such a rip off....to top it off we had to wait an absurd 30min for the food, when we made a specific time to pick it up. I can go somewhere else and have it be worth the money and get it way faster...please do better with your business. Never coming back…

Pastries and coffee were delicious. Cute cozy area. Service was amazing, very kind people. Looking forward to returning soon.

It’s very unprofessional of owner to use social media to berate others. On the other hand, service is terrible, atmosphere is the worst

I'm so embarrassed to say it took me years to finally try this place. I'm so glad I had the chance to order some lunch today. The process was smooth and the pick up was seamless. I had a wonderful conversation with the owner and she is such a nice person. You can tell she goes above and beyond to source great quality ingredients for her customers. I told her I was going to save some of my food for my husband to try-but im not sure i have that much will power. Ha! The guisado burritos were so delicious. I can't wait to order more next week. The lunch combo she offers is such a deal- which includes a refreshing drink and tasty dessert. The arroz con leche was chef's kiss!

Beware this place is not kid friendly! The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the taquitos and desserts. However, we had made dine-in reservations and were unexpectedly told we could not eat inside because we had our kids with us. I was informed that this was listed in the fine print, but it wasn't clear when booking. Clearer communication about this policy would have been appreciated.

PLEASE NOTE A RESERVATION IS REQUIRED FOR DINE IN AND DINE OUT!! I saw someone say they drove an hour and it was closed. Either way, they would have not been served. I follow Barra de pan on IG, that's the best way to be notified of a menu being posted. Lucy posted she would be posting her menu in a few min, however, it wasn't until an hour later the menu appeared. It sold out in 5 min. Probably less as I kept updating the foodnome page. You can tell the app was severely overwhelmed with people attempting to place a speedy order. The page crashed me for me 3x and I finally got in. I ordered the Birria tacos 9/10 And the carne picada 8/10. The portion was quite small for the price. I also got the arroz con leche which tasted exactly like my moms. 10/10 And finally the Strawberry agua Fresca. 9/10. It kinda tasted like a light mix of nesqik strawberry milk. Still good though. I would return to check out different items. It is very home cooked tasting. So it delivers what is promised. Check it out but make sure you have a reservation! Note** there were people highly upset that she does not take walk ins. Research before you go people.

Had the opportunity of making a reservation with one day in advance. Good here is made to order, you place your order while making your reservations. We ordered the pozole, chilaquiles rojos, tacos pibil, an Horchata, cafe de olla, coke and a buñuelo. Everything is taste freshly made and patiently cooked. The scenery takes you straight into a finca/Rancho style outdoor feel. The backyard is filled with color, surrounded by their outdoor kitchen automatically drawing you in. The restaurant had one server doing a heck of a job! Karla, does an amazing job juggling between the dine-in patrons and the wait list. I would love to come here again! Definitely a must! Food 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Service 10/10

Barra de Pan is one of my favorite places for Mexican food. Chef Lucy cooks food out of her home and has transformed her backyard into a beautiful restaurant with Mexican charm. She not only makes Mexican food, but also makes pizzas out of her brick oven that's in her backyard. The way to order food is by downloading the foodnome app and following her on there and also make sure to follow her on Instagram at @barradepan2020. Every time she posts a menu, the app will text you to let you know but there are times the app doesn't text you. So it's best to follow her on Instagram because she will post on there and let her followers know there's a menu up on the app. There are also times she doesn't post on the app and will just post on Instagram that you can come to her home to purchase food and pay with exact cash, venmo, or zelle. I love all the things she makes, but I have to say my favorite are her chilaquiles with steak picado, carne en su jugo, chile verde, cochinita pibil, and her champurrado (I hate to say it, but yummier than my mom's. I think Lucy uses chocolate from Mexico?) All her food is packed with flavor and some of the best I've had and I've eaten a lot of Mexican food from different restaurants and Mexican stands/trucks. She's always friendly and will talk to her customers. Happy I found her delicious home restaurant and that it's close to my home.

This place is such a good hidden gem, it's someone's backyard but don't let that stop you. The decorations and the lighting were great, it's clean and the personnel were really helpful. I got the hot chocolate and the carrot cake, and to my surprise it passed my expectations. :)

This place is great. Lucy is an amazing chef and very personable. Found our conversation of her travels for her menu fascinating and evident in the dishes.

Chef Lucy is warm and friendly with her customers. We had the opportunity to make it to her Coffee night and sampled each of her coffees and cakes. All were wonderful and really can't go wrong. The next night she offered a Taco night, we were able to get a spot. Tacos were amazing. Lucy appears to really enjoy cooking and taking care of her customers. Thank you Lucy for the beautiful place to sit and eat and meet new people.

Amazing pizza! The owner, Lucy, is the sweetest lady and she created her backyard into the cutest outside restaurant. She has a homemade brick oven that she cooks the pizza in. Omg the crust is doughy and the flavor is incredible. Highly recommend the hawaiian pizza and the pepperoni pizza. The lasagna was yummy too. The cheesecake was delicious. Definitely coming back!

Amazing experience! My husband and dad made reservations for coffee night with some delicious dessert. I ordered a cafe de olla , my husband and dad both ordered an Aztec Mocha . We shared a cinnamon roll , sporcamuss, and molletes de mantequilla. All item were so tasty! My dad and husband both said the molletes take them back to their childhood. I can't wait to be back to try her more savory meals :)

Omg if you haven't tried her food you are truly missing out she's amazing and the service it's on point the ambiance at her place it's very welcoming... it's like mommas food confort food to the heart

It would be nice if they would update their information to let people know they're closed. I drove an hour just to get there and find out it was closed. So disappointed but ended up at el chivito very good birria de chivo

Always closed. Never answer. I live 5 minutes away and have yet to experience this place. Don't waste your time.

I took my parents here and let me tell you my mom is very picky. She always has to find something wrong with anything. But here she loved it. Not even one complaint about there food and she loved the Coffee.

Simply the best tacos in town for Taco Tuesday. The pizza on Fridays is from heaven. Reasonable prices and food made with love and care.

Fui hace un par de semanas tome café de olla que si me gusto mucho, tenía su rico toque de canela, el pan estaba bueno digamos normal, pedimos uno que era con cajeta pero traía muy poca cajeta, casi no se sentía, el servicio no me gusto para nada, pedimos unos vasos extras para compartir mi café con el champurrado de mi amiga pero nunca nos los trajeron, después pedí un vaso de agua y tampoco... entonces le dije al muchacho , y mi vaso de agua? Y me dijo " lo siento no tenemos agua" no dije nada, yo entiendo que ustedes tengan sus reglas de ordenar y reservar por internet y llegar a comer, pero JAMÁS se niega un vaso de agua a un cliente JAMÁS! Si ustedes quieren que los clientes lleguen coman y se vayan rápido, lo que tienen que hacer es tener la comida lista, porque cuando llegamos se tardaron y apenas eran panes con café...

I've had the pleasure of eating Lucy's delicious food , it's authentic Mexican food ! Everything, from her handmade tortillas, salsas, the cafe de olla , bread, pizza, deserts are absolutely yummy !! if I lived close to her I'd be there MORE often . The patio is beautiful and clean. I felt like I was in a restaurant in Mexico . I highly recommend Lucy's food ! Lucy is amazing . She is polite, professional and friendly

Great wood fired pizza. Great food all around. Everything we've tried is so delicious. Lucy puts a lot of time into her recipes and they've all been great tasting!!

This place don't have respect for customers, they announce walk ins for the food to be ready at certain time and is not true. I drove 30 minutes to get there I was on time and food was sold out. I been trying with the app to order and the app got frozen all the time. Don't waste your time and money at this place.

Lucy serves delicious, fresh authentic food! Mexican and more! We have been dining with her for years at community and social events. Its so exciting to see her open her own place! Seeing her in her own kitchen and serving in her charming patio is a wonderful experience. She greets every guest and makes you feel so welcomed! Truly a personal touch like no other. We are very happy to have this venue close to home! I can honestly say we love everything she makes. These pictures are from just one night and it was mind blowing yummy!!! We also really love her pizza. So fresh and delicious...we wont go anywhere else now....we are so devoted to this pizza! LOL The way to order and see what shes offering is to use the FOODNOME app/site and order online for pick up or make a reservation for patio.

I'm almost speechless...this food is amazing! I ordered the chicken al pastor tacos, flautas and quesabirras. Every bite was delicious and authentic. The salsas were also very good-my husband described them as roasted, spicy and awesome. Lucy does not skimp on the quantity or quality of her food. We also tried her cafe de olla and we are hooked. Lucy was super friendly with great customer service. I'll definitely order from her again.

Lucy is the most gracious hostess and amazing chef. She puts love into everything she cooks and bakes. Her food is amazing and the fact that she has turned her backyard into a licensed at home restaurant is the best!!! Great for catering and private parties as well.

Really great food! And if you want to dine in, her patio is such a really fun place to hang out. The chicken al pastor tacos were to die for, sooo much flavor. Now I'm dreaming about them. Super authentic Mexican food, and amazing wood fired pizzas on fridays. Order early cause she sells out!!

Super good food! Very nice service, the lady is very hard working and kind. Everything is homemade here. Very clean and sanitary as well. Would highly recommend any one to try her out!
