Let me start with some back info. I didn’t know this place existed. Found it while attending the High Spirit Fest. I also had never had Argentinian food before. I have a lot of allergies and also can’t eat very much (quantity) so I’m kinda picky with my food since a couple bites is all I can eat and like to enjoy. I never really have great expectations any longer and just hope not to feel ill and that the staff is nice enough at least.
Let me say that not only was the staff so very nice and attentive, but the food???!! oh my, I can’t even stop talking about it, it was soo good.
I had the Loaded Milanesa Grande Chicken dish which has a thin pounded chicken piece (you can chose steak instead) it’s egg washed and dipped in breadcrumbs and seasoned with salt, parsley, and garlic, fried deep golden brown, and topped with cheese. it has two over medium fried eggs on top. and you can pick a side. I got the rice and I suggest getting the rice because it’s the most mouth pleasing food I’ve had in a very long time!! It comes with two sauces a green and a red. The green is amazing. She said no big deal just a special cilantro sauce, but it’s a very big deal as it simply brings out even more flavors! You can choose mild or hot, I got mild as I can’t eat anything spicey - not even as tame as pepper. It was perfect.
I also ordered a 6pc churros with chocolate sauce and they were perfect as well. Too many times people mess these up. Either too soggy or too chewy, most don’t have enough cinnamon in the batter and sprinkled on top so there’s no taste. These were perfect. Crispy, not chewy at all and the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar.
Presentation was appetizing as well, although I forgot to take a photo of the churros until I was packing up my leftovers.
My husband enjoyed his meal but I was so wrapped up in my food I forgot to take a photo. His meal was the Full “everything” Paella which was rice cooked in the Spanish tradition. He got the Everything option, but you can also choose chicken or chorizo only. It also has veggies, fajita corn, and beans, with your choice of spicey or mild sauce.
The two meals and the 6pc churro, with tip was $52. Well worth it to me even if a little pricey.
Please, if you want something great, try this place. It’s a small place on Pearl but we didn’t have any problem getting seated even with the event going on.
