"Base Camp Brewing is closing indefinitely, but indefinite doesn’t mean forever, necessarily. The brewery announced on social media that it would close ‘for the foreseeable future,’ though owner Justin Fay is hoping that’s not permanent. 'We are very much hoping we will be able to open back up,' Fay told the Oregonian. 'But we don’t know the timeframe yet. It’s obviously very dependent on the business atmosphere in Portland.' Fay is continuing to pay rent for the space, and the adjoining food cart pod is still in business." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

I liked the open atmosphere of this place. This is more of brewery were you bring your friends than finding friends. They have a good selection of food carts outside the brewery that is easy enough to order from. They have a wide selection of beer with amazing dark thick stouts! They have trivia nights on Monday!

Fantastic service very friendly staff! If you want to go DARK, they have one of the stoutest dark ale. Goes down like chocolate butter! Not crowded late evenings, which is surprising. They have take away containers if you cannot have enough of it. One of the finest drinking in Portland! Slainte!

Great brewery! Beers are hoppy and strong. Their most popular IPAs boat 5-6 hops. There lots of indoor seating and a large patio. They don’t sell food themselves, but it’s available via multiple food carts. You can eat the food anywhere on the property. Poblanos has homemade tortillas! Amazing! I rated 4 stars because the beers here are all $6 and up. Nothing at an affordable rate. If they us something for $5, I think that would have allowed me to give 5 stars.

Love the vibe of this place! All camp themed, and one beer even comes with a toasted marshmallow. There are photos of dogs on the back wall behind the taps so we were instantly in love. The beer was great too with a huge selection. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

What a great spot. They truly embrace their name and embody the theme of basecamp. They've got a fantastic selection of beers but the food carts they have available are awesome as well. They have great outdoor seating area and is an amazing place to go enjoy your time. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

The spot itself is kinda cool.. concept, decor, and space. Personally I was super disappointed in the beers I tried though. Thew IPA lacked any real flavors outside of hop. Red was just not for me. Also had a lot of trouble getting served. 1 bartender for a fairly busy day seems like a bad choice imo. Im big on second chances, so I'll try another set of beers and re rate if I make it back... On the fun side, a 1yr old was having their bday on site. 😂

Very good beers and an awesome vibe. The inside is very hiking/climbing themed. Carabiners and rope everywhere, big tree slabs for tables and boulders supporting the tables. There’s also a giant canoe suspended over the bar. They do a great job with their IPAs and pale ales, though I wasn’t a huge fan of their darker beers. We didn’t try the food but it looked good. There’s also a patio out back for when the weather is nice.

This is one of the better breweries we went to in Portland. The tasting flight was large, the staff was knowledgable about the beers, and the quality of the beers we tried we good. I'd like to come back here when it's warmer because there was an outdoor area that would probably be a lot of fun.
