"When it comes to ski town restaurants, pizza and beer are as common a pairing as shotskis and hot tubs. While Tahoe has plenty of options for a pizza, there’s no need to go anywhere other than Base Camp. They do interesting flavors like the Thai Chicken Curry, with sweet-and-spicy curry in lieu of tomato sauce, and every pie is served thin and crispy and always manages to hold plenty of toppings without falling apart.  Expect local beers on tap, frequent live music, and a dog-friendly outdoor patio. Even though it’s always noisy and busy, Base Camp is one of the more family-friendly dining options in South Lake Tahoe, thanks to its large outdoor space, complete with cornhole. " - suzie dundas

"Located at the base of Heavenly Ski Resort (hence the name), this family-friendly spot with indoor and outdoor dining serves up tasty pies and craft beer to hungry tourists and locals, but … mostly tourists. Expect long waits during the high season (summer and winter)." - Julie Brown Davis, Daisy Barringer

This was our best food experience of our Tahoe trip. Though it was super busy, we were seated immediately. Our server was super friendly and attentive, and the food came out super fast. Hats off to the kitchen, to have that many people in the restaurant and for the food quality and speed in which it came out was super impressive. We started with a Caesar salad, mozzarella sticks and garlic butter fries and they were all really good, and though these are all pretty basic menu items, they did each well. The Caesar dressing wasn't as funky as I prefer, but it was still great. We ordered a very meaty pizza, which I don't remember the name of, and some cheese ravioli with Italian sausage and they were both exceptional. We would definitely come back and recommend to anyone

We stopped by this pizza spot and ordered the Fire Roasted Medley—so good! They gave us their house-made ranch on the side, and it was absolutely heavenly. My husband and I devoured the whole pizza—it was that good! We got there a bit late and didn’t realize you needed a reservation for indoor seating (first time in Tahoe!), so we couldn’t dine in. Luckily, the restaurant offers takeout even without a reservation. We grabbed our pizza and found a cozy bench outside in the beautiful Heavenly Village. The atmosphere at night was amazing, and enjoying our pizza outdoors made the experience even better. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot—zero complaints. Definitely a must-try if you're in the area!

Tried the vegetarian options- fire roasted medley pizza and soup of the day - tomato bisque. Both were delicious. Shout out to chef for the pizza! It was hands down the best! The veggies were well roasted and enjoyed every bit of the pizza. Took a personal for two people, which was appropriate sizing. The atmosphere is upbeat with live music at the outside seating area. Would definitely come back to try their other vegetarian’s options or just come back to try fire roasted medley pizza again! :)

Google
Arrived late to Lake Tahoe and found this place that was still open. Good quality food and fast service. We ordered pear & walnut salad, mozzarella sticks, lodge wings, and the BBQ chicken pizza. My favorite was the salad. The pizza was good, but on the salty side. I had to down a lot of water within the first slice. Friendly staff, good comfort food, with a large selection of food and beverages.

Google
Great place to get pizza, there was some live music as the time. Toppings were full and came out hot. The wings were good. Would recommend to come for lunch. Hawaiian and pepperoni was phenomenal!

Tried Base Camp Pizza in South Lake Tahoe—food was good and the servers were really attentive. The place itself felt a bit small and cramped, and the drinks were just okay. Honestly, it feels a little overhyped, but overall it was a decent spot. Not bad, but not amazing either.

Google
The best pizza in South Lake Tahoe!! Recommend getting there early to ensure you get seating. We arrived at 8pm, were advised of a 2hour wait (which wasn’t an issue for us), ended up only being an hour!! High water cups, great pizza!! would recommend to anyone passing through the area to stop in.

Google
Ordered take out. Baked wings appetizer and medium thai curry pizza, both were fantastic. Little on the expensive side but well worth a try. Baked wings were perfectly baked and went good with the ranch, the pizza was on the sweet side but i forgot to take red chilli flakes, which i would assume would balance out the sweet part. Ingredients felt fresh, and i like the fact that they had separate place for ordering take out, wait was around 30 mins, the front of the restaurant has a nice outside patio, the whole vibes of the plaza was good. 8/10 would recommend.

Yelp
The pizza was delicious but to my preference I needed a little more sauce. I asked they provided (smiley face) me with warm pizza sauce and it was WONDERFUL!! I certainly will be back. They're a bit busy so I'd suggested the bar area for a bit of a faster seating and some SPORTS

Yelp
Not only was the food great, but our server Raven was amazing!!! We will definitely return on our future trips to Tahoe!

Yelp
Fantastic service and even better pizza and music. Most of all, Alex! Alex is a manager who went above and beyond to work with each guest that checked in. Although some were frustrated with the wait, Alex was great to keep his composure and serve in the most honorable way. Thank you, Alex, for your working hard to make all of his guests happy!

Yelp
Base camp truly never misses. We always order the buffalo chicken pizza and this time decided to venture out a little bit and order half with pear and arugula. The buffalo chicken pizza is so flavorful, has tons of pockets of Gouda and has been our favorite for years. The pear and arugula was also very delicious with a sweet/savory mix that was lighter than the buffalo chicken and was a good complement. The service was quick and kind which is helpful when you're dining with two littles! If you're in the area, this place is a must have!

Yelp
Super-busy, despite it being early on a Monday night. A very nice hostess told me it would be 15-30 minutes for a table but offered me a seat at the bar, which worked just fine for me. However, I was surprised to find that there was no free wi-fi. Doesn't every restaurant have free wi-fi nowadays? I Just didn't much like either my pizza or my cocktail. I ordered a Margherita pizza. It came with diced tomatoes, which is not standard; they were hotter than the rest of the pizza -- so much so that they burned my mouth. Sauce, cheese, and crust were okay but blah. To drink, I ordered a Happy Camper. The menu doesn't disclose that this is a frozen drink; if I'd known, I wouldn't have ordered it. It was like orange sherbet with visible stripes of rum. This meant that any given sip had either a lot of rum or none (yes, even after I stirred it a lot). It was supposed to have a float of rum on top, but I didn't see one. The bartender who served me was pleasant, and he did check back on me once. However, after I drank most of my Happy Camper (I didn't drink it all) and would have liked to order something different, he always seemed to be busy. Bottom line, I don't understand why it's so crowded, and I won't be back.

Yelp
Iconic pizza place in Tahoe. Check-in/reservation desk was outside when we visited. Do expect long wait times especially during peak times. My party of 7 waited for around 45 minutes which gave us time to explore the plaza in the meantime. Workers were attentive and gave great recommendations! Highly recommend getting a large pizza and doing half/half flavors to share! FYI many of the stores in this plaza share the outdoor public restroom. Thankfully it's right across from Base Camp Pizza and it kept pretty clean.

Yelp
Base Camp Pizza is a place you must go to when you're in South Lake Tahoe. I can't eat too much dairy, but I would take the risk to eat the pizza at Base Camp Pizza. This place gets packed and I would normally sit at the bar. It's also easier to get service at the bar. I ordered a personal Base Camp Pizza and a Classic Caesar Salad. The pizza came out nice and fresh and was quite tasty! The caesar salad was good to balance off and to pair with the pizza. It made me feel somewhat healthy. I would like to come back more often to try the other items on the menu!

Yelp
We came here for a late lunch after our snowmobiling trip on Super Bowl Sunday. We were seated right away and the Server came to take our order right away. We ordered the Spinach Artichoke Dip, Pear & Walnut Salad and a Large Big Mountain pizza. OMGEE! Best tasting Spinach Artichoke Dip ever! It was loaded with cheese and garlic. The warm pita bread made it extra tasty! The Pear & Walnut Salad was delicious, too! I especially loved the candied walnuts. The pizza was delicious too, but I could only eat a slice after eating all the dip and salad. The restaurant had indoor/outdoor seating. We sat inside. It was busy, but the kitchen staff had their service locked down. The food came out right away. We'll definitely eat there again the next time we're in town.

Yelp
Base Camp Pizza is a staple in Tahoe and with that in mind, they're a busy restaurant, especially for dinner time. I've been here twice now and I would say that they're a solid 4 stars. The service is friendly and up to speed, no complaints. The first time, I did take out, which is a separate line at their takeout window. After placing my order, they took down my # so that they could text me when the order was ready. I got the Personal sized Thai Chicken Curry Pizza. My friend had recommended this and it's also one of their popular items, so I was intrigued. It was quite delicious and I pleasantly enjoyed the flavors. The second time, we opted for dine-in, and it was about an hour wait. They got my # again to text me when the table was ready and we walked around Heavenly Village. We ordered the Large Half and Half Pizza, with Pear & Gorgonzola and Thai Chicken Curry. The pizza was delicious and I enjoyed the Thai Chicken Curry just like last time. The Pear & Gorgonzola was interested, they cover it with arugula, which is not my favorite, but it was still enjoyable. We also got the Italian Herb Shrimp Penne Pasta, which was quite a tasty pasta dish. Base Camp Pizza is a great spot to grab some pizza and I would certainly recommend the Thai Chicken Curry Pizza.

Yelp
Basecamp Pizza at Heavenly Village has officially become my new favorite pizza spot! I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, as the wait can be quite long. Even though it's a three-hour drive from me, I would absolutely make the trip again just for their incredible pizza. I ordered a large half-and-half with the Mediterranean and Thai Chicken Curry, and I have to say, the Thai Chicken Curry has quickly become my all-time favorite pizza! The homemade spicy sauce they offer on the side is fantastic and adds an extra kick to the meal. The ambiance is lively and welcoming, with a fun, casual vibe that's perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. Overall, the service was top-notch, making the experience even better. If you're visiting Tahoe, don't miss out on this gem--you won't regret it!

Yelp
Quick update to my last review. We returned to Heavenly and stayed in the village so we try to go out to eat within walking distance. Base Camp is a 2 min walk. I first called to check the wait, which was as 45 min to 1 hr 15 on Thursday evening around 6:15 p.m. I made a quick walk over to get on the list and hung out in our room until the text notified us that our table was ready (you can also check the status of your table using the link in the text). It took about an hour. We were seated quickly after checking in. Service was friendly and prompt. Huge waters (no refills needed!) were on our table within a few short minutes. For our fam of 4 we ordered a large 1/2 base camp, 1/2 fire roasted medley pizza, bolognese pasta and a large Greek salad (olives on the side). They have a nice selection of wine and beer at reasonable prices, so I opted for a glass of wine while hubby got a pint of Cali Squeeze. Our salad was out in no time. It was a decent Greek salad, but it could have used more feta and either a little more seasoning in the dressing. But it was light and fresh start to a heavy meal. The pizza and pasta followed shortly, perfectly timed after we finished our salads. Both were served hot like we like our food to be. The fire roasted medley pizza is ah-maze-ing. Rich and flavorful toppings on a crispy, delicious crust. This is now my favorite pizza served here. You won't miss the meat on this veggie pizza! Even our older teen daughter commented that it was the best. The base camp side was also solid. Hubby commented Base Camp has some of the best pizza he's ever had (too bad we live 10 hours away!) The bolognese was pretty good as well. The sauce doesn't taste like it goes through hours of simmering like some bolognese, but it's a flavorful marinara with meat and the pastas was cooked just over al dente. The portion we ordered was nearly perfect with just one slice of pizza left. We were so happy that we ate here on our last night in Tahoe, the cherry on top of our trip (esp after a not so positive experience at a nearby establishment the night before). Thanks Base Camp for a memorable meal! Until next time!

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow! There is a reason this place has 6k+ reviews!! I'm going to be honest, I was a little sad looking up different restaurant options in Lake Tahoe because I felt there didn't seem to be a whole lot of variety. It was a lot of burgers, steakhouses, and pizza joints so I wasn't overly excited but this place jumped out to me because of the raving reviews. So glad we came here!! They don't take reservations so we came right before opening to secure a spot. We were like 7th in line and quickly filled up when we were seated so I recommend you getting there earlier or outside of peak hours. How good can the pizza be? Oh, it's gooooooooooooooooood. We got the base camp pizza because if it's named the same as the pizza place, it has got to be good right? It was a good call. The crust and bread was nice and thin with a good bite/texture but the toppings were just perfect. Great assortment, juicy and cheesy, with good quality veggies and meat toppings. Base camp was like a very good supreme pizza. We also got the bbq pizza and the fire roasted medley. Fire roasted medley was a perfect second pizza to get because it's a bit lighter than the base camp pizza. The bbq pizza was very good but realized our group just personally preferred non-bbq pizzas. The apps were all very good as well but they are smaller in portion sizes than we expected. My fav app was the spinach and artichoke dip with pita chips but the calamari and fries were also very good. The Greek salad we got was straight forward, nothing too special but good light side dish to balance the heavier apps and pizza dishes. Beer selection is also v good because you gotta have beer with your pizza! Because of how much they top the pizzas with, our group got full very fast with just a couple slices. We ended up taking our leftovers to go and had them later the next day and next morning (still enjoyable). Worth the hype here- recommend 10/10! Good reasonable prices for good casual food.

Yelp
SO YUMMY WE WENT THERE TWICE IN TWO DAYS!!! I've heard great things about base camp but eating there actually blew my expectations so much, that I had lunch there one day and came again the next! The highlights of our meal: Spinach Dip - I never get spinach dip but our server recommended it so we trusted her. IT IS SO GOOD. served with warm pita chips. This is the best dip I've ever had! Pizza - I loved the basecamp pizza despite not usually being a huge fan of peppers!! It was baked to perfection. The next day we came and got a plain pepperoni pizza and it wasn't as good. I would just stick with one of their specials Mac and cheese - love the penne and the smoked Gouda. Huge portion Shrimp pasta - super yummy but very herby. If you don't like herbs and lemon you won't be a fan but it's so good. Price point is perfect. Service is great. Interior feels so cozy on a winter day. Must go!

Yelp
Coming back from a long day at the slopes, I always find this place busy and bustling as it's right next to the gondola. I happened to be in town on Monday and decided to try this place for an early dinner - was able to get a seat for 2 immediately at 4:15pm. Place is casual with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. To start we got spinach and artichoke dip. Pita bread was fried well and the perfect complement to the heavenly warm cheesy dip. For large pizzas you can choose 2 flavors so we opted for that option and tried their Thai chicken curry and base camp pizza. Thai curry was unique, a bit heavy but still good. The basecamp pizza was a classic. For the area (Tahoe has pretty limited options) it's a decent place to grab food+ they have a wide selection of beer!

Rissy L.

Yelp
This is the best pizza joint in Tahoe and we always come here every time we are here on a ski/snowboarding trip to Heavenly Resort. They are located inside the Heavenly Village, right across from the public restrooms. As usual, we ordered a size large pizza (1/2 pie of Basecamp pizza and 1/2 pie of Thai Chicken Curry pizza). If you love Thai food, you will love their Thai Chicken Curry pizza. It tastes like a tom yum flavor pizza, super yummy and savory! We also like to order their chicken wings appetizer which comes with many sauces to dip in. Their wings are cooked to perfection. We highly recommend this pizza joint.

Yelp
When my family lived in Davis we'd drive up to Lake Tahoe on special occasions. And when we did we'd always stop at Base Camp Pizza. The kids would get cheese or pepperoni, but my wife and I always get the Thai curry pizza! So when I had a work meeting in the area I put it in my schedule that I had to stop at Base Camp to get a Thai curry pizza. Since it was just me I ordered a personal sized pizza for takeout. This place is popular so if you come on a weekend night or any time during the summer be prepared to wait. Trust me it's worth it. The pizza was as delicious as I remembered. Spicy from the Thai curry used I stead of red sauce, creamy from the cheese, tart from the lime you squeeze on top. A winner all around. I can't wait till the next time I get to come back at eat that pizza again!

Haleh H.

Yelp
Fun easy place with yummy options. This place is spacious & happy - good for big groups. Staff were nice & attentive. They also have a pretty good bar. - The Caesar salad was really good, good sauce, good shaved cheese. - half/half Basecamp & BBQ chicken & bacon pizzas. Both had really good flavor. Crust is thin but pizza is very filling. Recommend this place for a fun happy meal with family & friends.

Diem P.

Yelp
Love the food & service!! We ordered the base camp pizza and base camp salad...delicious on their own but really good together! Super casual pizza restaurant so don't expect anything fancy...just great pizza!

Yelp
Went on a Saturday evening around 4pm and even then the place was super busy which we were not expecting! We put on names down and the estimated wait time was 20-40 minutes. During the wait, we walked around Heavenly Village which had a lot of cute shops. After 45 minutes, we still hadn't received a text that our table was ready so we went to the front desk and checked, but the staff said they had accidentally sat a different party under our name. They asked us to wait 5-10 minutes more for the next table to be available and thankfully it didn't take much longer so we were promptly seated inside. Inside of the restaurant was nice and cozy. We ordered cocktails - friend and I each got the Highwest Hot Cider, another friend ordered the Base Camp Shaken Lemonade, and another friend ordered the Tahoe Sunset. For food, we all split and got the Pear and Walnut salad, medium size Fire Roasted Medley, medium size Margherita, and personal size Thai Chicken Curry. They also accommodated our request of getting half the Fire Roasted Medley without goat cheese. I really enjoyed my hot cider, I thought it was perfect for the cold weather and you couldn't really taste the alcohol. As for food, I was pleasantly surprised by the salad. I liked the candied walnuts paired with the blue cheese and balsamic vinegar. I loved the vegetarian pizzas! Favorite would have to be the Fire Roasted Medley pizza. The roasted garlic and goat cheese combo tasted delicious. Margherita was great as well, can never go wrong with it. Friends also enjoyed the Thai Chicken Curry pizza and said the curry sauce made the pizza very unique! Overall, I really enjoyed Base Camp Pizza. The wait was a bit long but the food made up for it. The cocktails were great and the salad/pizzas were delicious. I would definitely come back if I am ever in the Tahoe area!

Yelp
Base Camp Pizza in South Lake Tahoe is a must-visit! The pizza was absolutely delicious, with a perfect crust and flavorful toppings. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal after a day outdoors. They also have a fantastic selection of beers on tap, which paired perfectly with the pizza. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm skiing Heavenly.

Denise A.

Yelp
Fam friendly. There is available seating indoors and outdoors. For 5 adults and 1 child, we shared two large pizzas and a large Cesar salad. Our little one had a cheese kid pizza. The adult foods were plenty and we still had leftovers. I would say that the base camp is probably the better among the three options we had. The base camp is basically a combo pizza. The chicken bbq and veggie were both just okay.

April F.

Yelp
Didn't plan on stopping but after seeing outside diner's pizzas and seeing the number of positive reviews we had to! Outside dining on a perfect fall day, the sun felt good. We were greeted immediately and assisted with great service. Sam was our waitress who is on top of game as she tends to all the outside tables with the help of others who deliver food. Decided on a half curry chicken half Big Mountain. Half pizza orders are only for large size pizzas. We ordered fried calamari, although tasty, 3/4 cup is too little for a $17 appetizer. Portion size was unacceptable. Marinara sauce was outstanding. Our pizza arrived and not only was it visually a beautiful pizza, it was delicious. Thin crust was indeed thin. Perfectly thin to hold the great quality of toppings. The quality of ingredients are outstanding as is the way the pizza was constructed, It's truly was a masterpiece and absolutely perfection. Lots of leftovers that we will enjoy. Highly recommend!!!

Lindsay L.

Yelp
Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Everything was awesome here! I've tried so many different pizza places and this place is definitely one of the best. I went with a group of 10 on a Sunday for lunch and we got the Beer Battered Parmesan Garlic Fries, Crispy Calamari, Classic Caesar Salad, a large Base Camp Pizza, a large Smoky Bbq Chicken with Bacon Pizza, a medium Fire Roasted Medley Pizza, a large Big Mountain Pizza, and a few drinks. My husband and I also had an Irish Coffee and a Tahoe Toddy. Everything was amazing. Food was delicious, drinks were strong, service and ambiance was great. BCP, I'm definitely coming back!

Lori M.

Yelp
If you love pizza, you must go here. Delicious pizza done right! We are so happy we decided to stop in and at happy hour! Personal pizzas (4 big slices) for $13!!? Yes please! I had an adult root beer- um yum, and then I enjoyed a boozy Java the hut (hot drink). Hubs had two amazing ipas- I tried them too - The two pizzas we tried were the smoky bbq chicken with bacon added extra cilantro- (a must try -) and the fire roasted medley. Both delicious however I felt the fire roasted one was missing a little something- maybe extra cilantro or more goat cheese? Not sure but these definitely hit the spot. Service was quick and turnaround was quick as well- friendly servers with smiles on their faces. Nice to see! I would definitely return the next time I'm in South Lake Tahoe.

Jen T.

Yelp
Base Camp pizza never disappoints! The one qualm I have is that this place is usually very busy. We came around lunch time and weren't able to find a seat without a one hour wait time, so my group ordered togo and ate at the nearby Starbucks. I thought the crust and toppings were delicious and my favorite was the BBQ Chicken pizza with a side of ranch. Solid pizza place, nothing too extraordinary but always consistently delicious!

tran n.

Yelp
Tasty pizzas, reminded me of thin crust New Haven style pizzas. Fast and attentive service. 4pm on a Tues in Jan and it's a full house of snow bums.

Josh M.

Yelp
Must have gone on the wrong day because the pizza did not live up to the hype unfortunately. Had a large meat pizza and it was really average tasting with a hefty price tag. There was also no online or over the phone ordering so we had to order there and wait over an hour for the pizza. 5 minutes later, the pizza was not hot and I had to stick it in the oven to make it edible. Not worth the long lines and waiting times in my opinion, I would spend your money at one of the many other great restaurants in South Lake Tahoe.

Summer P.

Yelp
Vibes & Flavors on Point! Base Camp Pizza Co. is a total vibe! We kicked things off with the cheesy bread--crisp, gooey, and seriously next level. Then came the Big Mountain pizza, which was absolutely stacked with toppings and full of flavor. Every bite was perfection. The energy here is awesome, and the staff is super friendly. This spot nailed it from start to finish!

Jules B.

Yelp
After some Yelping, looking for a great place for pizza in Lake Tahoe area, my sister found Base Camp Pizza. Service was quick and seated our large party of 13 fairly quickly. Unfortunately, I don't recall our waiters name but everyone was friendly and service was prompt (as our food came out fairly quickly for a busy bustling restaurant). Our server even brought out a special little cup of fruit with a birthday candle, sang Happy Birthday for our 1 year old celebrant that day too. There is such a variety of pizzas here, it as so difficult to choose. So I decided to go with a half Thai and Half Base Camp pizza. Thai on a pizza wasn't disappointing as flavors hit right and overall crust was thin, but not crispy thin -as it was just right. Located in a outdoor shopping center area. Parking free across the street (but don't mention you read it here, lol). Live music during late lunch hours here was pretty cool too.

Cindy W.

Yelp
The BEST pizza in South Lake! You can tell by the smell of the pies wafting thru the air. We ordered the popular Base Camp combo, absolutely delicious, flavorful and nice crispy perfectly thin crust. Paired with the Pear salad, perfection! Excellent selection of brews on tap including the Cali Squeeze Blood Orange Hefeweizen! We found a comfortable table in the bar area of the popular establishment, Ray was our host, tended bar, made all the suggestions which we followed. After dinner he brought me a complementary birthday brownie ala mode !!! Thank you Ray for making my birthday awesome!

Chase B.

Yelp
One bite everyone knows the rules. Ordered the Thai curry and a classic pepperoni. Do not the best pizzas to judge. Crust was thin but tasteful, good flop but not soggy or overly greasy. Every bite has good crunch but not rock hard. The toppings were fresh. Going to have to go 7.2 as it was a solid pizza, but Tahoe expensive. Arguably the best custom pizzas you'll get in South Lake Tahoe. What made this place amazing was the variety of appetizers (wings were thick and fresh!), solid beer selection, great service. We were getting rained one outside and they made space to get us a spot inside. Would go back!! Definitely the most popping place in the village.

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Delicious! I love that it's almost like skinny pizza due to the thin crust! Wait time for take out wasn't too bad even on a busy night during dinner hours.

Leah A.

Yelp
They call this the best pizza in Lake Tahoe. Honestly I haven't tried any other pizza in Lake Tahoe but I was disappointed at the toppings and taste, especially for the price. I expected a lot more cuz we waited so long and even called ahead. I wouldn't order this in Lake Tahoe again. We ordered 4-5 pizzas for a group of 6 to share for dinner. We had a ton of of left overs

Shelby C.

Yelp
Great pizza and huge drinks (sodas) and waters! I would recommend if you want some yummy pizza! Outside: There was a lot of seating outside right in the little downtown area! It was cute out there, with a live band on Thursday night. You check outside with the host and if there is a wait you put your name and phone number in and they will call you when your table is ready! Inside: They had a bar area and regular restaurant seating. The booths were big and spacious and the tables seem to fit large parties. It was very cute in there. Food: We had absolutely no complaints about the food. Chicken wings, they were so good. All the sauce comes on the side. Which after I ate like that i prefer. They are bone in only but they were so crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside! All the pizza was so good! The kids pizza was just about the side of an individual size pizza! The base camp pizza, there was so much meat on it. Service: The service seemed very good. All the servers seemed to be on top of everything. But, the waitress we had was having a great time talking to her other coworkers. She was rude to us from the beginning. Our drinks were empty for a long time ever after she walked by. We had to get her attention for her to stop at our table. When she finally brought us a refill, she set the new cup down and immediately took my old cup (with my straw) and walked away fast. At least ask if we wanted another straw.. we had to wait at least 15 mins for her to come back around. Other than that, the food was so good!

Yelp
This pizza spot has really delicious food! The reason I don't give it the full five stars, is because the service isn't entirely the best. When we asked to get a table, the girls outside weren't too friendly, and once we got seated, our waiter seemed like he did not want to be there. He livened up midway into the service, but it was still a bit awkward. Anyways, going into the food, we ordered: Medium base camp pizza (pepperoni, Italian sausage, roasted peppers, roasted onions, portobello mushrooms, and a four cheese blend) $26 Medium pepperoni pizza $ 24.50 Mozzarella sticks $ 12.50 Large Pear and walnut salad (crisp Bosc pears, sweet candied walnuts, sliced red onions, topped with mixed greens in a balsamic dressing, Gorgonzola cheese) $ 18.50 An order of 10 lodge wings that came with the sauce on the side $19 A soup of the day which ended up being a broccoli and cheddar $6.50 for a large cup And some drinks which I also tried a 16oz of the Golden State Cider Jamaica and it was super delicious. Every single thing we ordered was delicious, cooked fresh and served promptly. My favorite items were the salad and pizza. I definitely would eat again here. They have music playing, it's a busy spot in town, with ample seating outside and inside.

Yelp
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! Basecamp adds a mandatory gratuity and a tax on gratuity to their online orders. This is illegal and unethical. Our $17.50 pizza was actually $22.40! That's a 28% increase over menu prices. Caveat Emptor!

Yelp
The pizza here is as good as everyone says. We got takeout, ordered online, and it was ready quickly. The pizza was outstanding. We had a large pepperoni, mushroom and bell pepper. The crust was amazing, lots of toppings. We'll definitely be back and try dining inside.

Yelp
We started queueing at 4:30 PM and were told the wait time could be up to 1.5 hours. The Thai chicken curry pizza was absolutely delicious! We also ordered the artichoke dip, hot cider, and the soup du jour--a creamy chicken bacon soup. Everything was fantastic! The ambiance was lovely. We were seated right by the entrance, near the check-in desk. Despite the chilly weather, the area was cozy, thanks to the heated lamps. To top it off, we enjoyed live music from a talented guitarist and singer, which added to the warm atmosphere. It was a wonderful way to end the evening. The 1.5-hour wait was definitely worth it--we spent the time exploring the village and taking in the sights.

Yelp
Tried the Thai chicken curry pizza and was really pleasantly surprised! It was yummy and the gluten free crust is great. Base Camp Pizza is always so busy, the service is efficient but brusque. Also they have a "spicy" option but when we asked our serve if it was actually spicy he said it was "Tahoe spicy" which I thought was funny. It definitely was not spicy, for those who can handle spice, just FYI.

Yelp
You can order a half/half pizza, but only in a large! Intrigued by the Thai chicken curry pizza, the two of us gave in and ordered half of that and half of a Basecamp, both the "chef's favorites", knowing we'd have leftovers. The crust was thin and crispy! The toppings on the Thai chicken curry pizza were unique and so good! We loved the Base camp too, but five stars for originality with the Thai chicken curry pizza. Nick was our server and he was great. We got our pizza in no time. Even at 3pm on a Sunday this place was hoppin' inside and out, but we were able to be seated right away. Live music outside too.

Yelp
I make it a point to stop by every time we're in town, and the pizza is consistently excellent! The salad was also fantastic. Our server, Sam, was attentive and friendly, as was the rest of the staff. For drinks, I tried the hot toddy, which was well-balanced with a strong cinnamon flavor--perfect if you're a fan of cinnamon. The ambiance and décor are casual, making it a relaxed and enjoyable spot.

Yelp
This was a quick spot to get pizza. You can walk up and order and they'll text you when your order is ready, which is amazing and allows us to go walk around while the pizza is prepared. The pizza itself is really good! Would recommend!

Yelp
Before I even get started, let me just say every single person we spoke to the entire visit delivered exceptional service. So refreshing these days!!! We arrived to the sound of live music so of course we sat outside to fully enjoy that. We dined on the pear and walnut salad followed by the Thai curry pizza. Both were fabulous! Great selection of craft beers on tap as well!

Yelp
long story short: i recommend you get the thai curry pizza and spinach artichoke dip. be prepared for a long wait time and also to be rushed out the restaurant before you are done eating, if i was able to take my time to enjoy a nice dinner with my family, i would've given them 4 stars ------ came here on a monday night and i was told the wait was still 1-1.5 hours. the wait ended up being less than an hour and i had to rush over from harrah's since the text said they would only hold my table for 7 minutes. i was able to call the restaurant and let them know and they were able to accommodate us. we got the thai curry pizza not spicy and we also got the base camp pizza. if you order a large, you can do half and half of any two flavors. i honestly thought the thai curry pizza was the best pizza there! i highly recommend! we also got the spinach artichoke dip and soup of the day. thai curry pizza: 10/10 must try base camp pizza: 7/10 it's just like a combo pizza spinach artichoke dip: :10/10 must try, i like that they fry their pita bread. soup of the day: chicken soup: 4/5 pear walnut salad: 4/5 we enjoyed the salad paired with the pears and dressing one thing that really bothered me is i felt super rushed eating there. i think we sat down for 15 and ate for 45 minutes with a family of 4. the food just came out and we've just started eating, 15 minutes later our server came over and asked if we were ready for the bill. they came around a second time to ask, but we were still eating. once we finally finished, we asked for the bill and they dropped it off to our table. not even 30 seconds later, they asked if the bill was ready. we hadn't even taken a look at the bill yet. i also ordered a root beer but it didn't come out towards the end of the meal, i know they were busy so i didn't mind too much. i let our server know and they apologized and said it would be on the house which i thought was really nice until i looked at the bill and it ended up being on the bill anyways :( we ordered pizza, salad, soup, and an appetizer. i wish our server would put our salad soup and appetizer in first before our pizza but i understand it came out in that order since we ordered pizza first and decided to take a longer look at the menu for the rest of the items. the pizza was the first thing that came out, along with the salad, and the spinach artichoke dip, and then the soup. i wish the pizza came out last so we could eat it hot, since it came out first, it was cold. so just keep in mind to order everything at once, we will be doing that next time :) great place for pizza and beers, i just wished i wasn't being rushed out. i understand they have to turn tables around but we were a family of 4 and noticed couples around us sitting for way longer than us.

Yelp
Located in the Heavenly village, there was plenty of stores to shop at while waiting to be seated. When we went, there was also live music for outdoor seating so that was nice to listen to. Once we sat, service was quick to get our orders in, but otherwise hardly ever checked in on us. We had also asked twice for ranch on the side for our pizzas but never got them, so we did feel a bit neglected. That being said, the food was really good. Everything came out hot and fresh, and in a timely manner. The spinach dip and fried pita bread definitely stood out; it's not a crunchy pita chip but instead literally fried bread, and it was so delicious. The bbq chicken pizza too was my other favorite of the night.

Yelp
Saw this place pop up on TikTok while researching places to eat in South Lake Tahoe and for once social media lead me to a place that was 100000% worth the hype! It's fitting that this place is in Heavenly village because the pizza is literally heavenly! There is definitely a wait so around dinner time expect it to be between 30-60 mins. They text you when you're able is ready tho so you can wander around while you wait. We started with the beer battered garlic parmesan fries and they were delicious! For the pizzas we got The Base Camp and The Big Mountain. Both were phenomenal. The crust was soft yet crispy and the toppings were plentiful. The inside of the restaurant is packed looks like majority of the time but one bite of their pizza and you understand why. A can't miss if you're in SLT!

Yelp
The food here was great! I ordered a medium pizza and it was enough for two of us. We also had their cesar salad. Their cesar salad was good, but the dressing was a bit basic tasting. The service was great for a busy spot. The ambiance is great--lively area in heavenly base camp. Great area to hang and eat!

Yelp
We were walking around Heavenly Village after a full day of skiing and were looking for a bite to eat. It was the weekend and it was crowded. I was craving a pizza because it sounded like the perfect cold weather food to warm up with. Unfortunately everyone was thinking what I was thinking because we were told that the wait for a table was over two hours. Thankfully Base Camp Pizza has a take out window and we were able to order food to-go. It took about thirty minutes to receive our food and then we headed back to our hotel with our pizzas. Base Camp Pizza is located by the outdoor skating rink in Heavenly Village. The food menu consists of gourmet pizzas, pastas, salads and appetizers. They also offer a gluten-free crust and have a full bar menu. Seating is indoor, outdoor and at the bar. Judging by the line, it is a popular spot to eat at here in Lake Tahoe. I ordered the Big Mountain Pizza which was loaded with pepperonis and bacon on top of a nice crispy crust. Base Camp Pizza has live music on some nights and allows dogs on the outdoor patio area.

Yelp
Well...they use to have good food. Mediocre now. I got a to go pizza there last week. To my dismay when I took it back to the hotel (1 min walk) and opened the box, I could tell the pizza was just reheated. Crust had the reheated dryness and texture. The toppings were all dried out. Oh wow...they did put fresh parsley in to make it seem fresh. This all explains why the pizza was done so quickly. It was probably a good pizza when it was fresh but come on. Reheating a pizza and selling that in an establishment with the name pizza in it? If you are starving and need pizza quick I guess, but I'll go elsewhere next time. One more thing....they tack on an automated tip of like 15 or 20% if you order online. Must be for that extra great effort that they put forth reheating pizza. You can avoid that penalty charge if you order the to go at their takeout window.
