The Best Clubs In Miami That Don't Completely Suck - Miami - The Infatuation

"Unlike most clubs, there are things to do at Basement other than just dance while trying not to spill your drink all over your shirt. There are rainbow bowling lanes here (which you have to reserve in advance for at least $60 per hour) and a tiny indoor ice skating rink (that's also $30 per half hour), both of which get more fun and more dangerous with every drink you consume. There used to be another big room with a dance floor attached to the space, but that's closed at the time of this writing. Still, it's a solid spot for bachelorette parties or other group celebrations." - ryan pfeffer

Google
Basement, Skate Shop, and Bowling Parlor hit the mark. When you walk in and pass the aquarium, the ice is groomed to my liking—unlike the miners, who aren’t allowed after 8 PM for reasons unbeknownst to Gigi, the bartender. I knew paradise is underground. They don’t need wax for lanes because the lanes are smoother than ice, and the ice is smoother than wax, if you catch my drift. You’d assume Florida wouldn’t have many stingrays, but at the basement, my father (who is older than me, wink wink) and I delighted in stingrays. And the skates—that’s the little stingray, wink wink. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a family, but my better half and I enjoyed a date night. The buy-one-get-one-free deal came to $600 after two hours of bowling. Worth every penny. My dollars couldn’t have gone to a better cause. My daughters weren’t invited—it was me and Daddy. Daddy is what I call Gigi. Not the bartender—the other one, wink wink. Five stars, grub bub, a slobbery good time.

Staff is verry sweet ! But if feel like Steve Rebell and Yan Shrager sold place , like studio 54 did highly Missed night club! This place feel Gen-z style ! No feel Studio 54 wibe Like Yan Schrager build it! This place should separate bowling is only for play and ice skating no place for dance , it highly miss basement Club before , covid was coolest place in Miami. They can make at least like boiler room , I come cople time 11 pm on Friday Saturday and was empty close 2 am ,this not same spirit like before covid -19!

Google
Mommy daughter date with a vibe. We bowled & skated. It’s located inside the Edison hotel downstairs. If you’re going with minors I believe the cut off time is 8 or 9pm. Definitely need to see the vibe for adults only the dj was playing hits as we were leaving lol

Google
Place is not fun and overpriced. Also it was empty. They charge $300 minimum for a lane with just 2 people for one hour. When your time runs out, they don’t allow you to put extra time on the lane against your min spend. Manager had a very condescending attitude and tried to charge an additional $300. Would never go back to this place, and I’m a Miami local. Go somewhere else instead.

Google
It's a nice place! The staff is very cordial, the vibe is nice & there is an ice rink, a DJ & a small bowling alley. If the point is to take nice pictures & hang out with friends in an eccentric place, you'll have a good night here. With that said, the ice rink is small. The ice is also terrible. No way they can fit a zamboni in there so I'm not sure how they're smoothing out the ice (or if they're smoothing it out). If the point is to skate, you'll have a much better time at a standard ice rink. There's no place to dance either. It's not really a nightclub. There's only a bar & the mini bowling alley behind. In between the two, is a DJ. The bar is nothing fancy, pretty standard. Drinks are expensive, but that's typical in South Beach. So, if the point is to dance, I would suggest an actual nightclub. The bowling alley can be reserved from 5pm-8pm. After that, you have to buy bottle service to have an alley. The alley fills up quick too. The alley has a cute neon sign, otherwise, it's just a standard private alley. If the point is to bowl, you should just go to a regular alley. I gave the place three stars because we did have a nice time, but the entertainment here can certainly be found at a better quality elsewhere. It's just a nice place to take cute pictures but if that's what you're going for, you'll enjoy your time here. I wouldn't discourage a first-timer from going but personally, I don't think I would come back. Again, nice staff though!

Google
I think we went on the wrong day!!!! This place was fun for the wrong reasons. We had pre drank so we were all ready for a party however when we got there, it was a bowling alley with very few people dressed up like us. We laughed away and took loads of pictures of the deco - which to be fair was really nice. If we was not in heels perhaps we could have played a game of bowling or so but I’m sure we had gone on the wrong day! Oops! ( I think it was a Sunday).

Google
We had 3 lanes and the one kept constantly breaking, the second one broke 3 times. They dont have bumpers they have plastic tubes. All their balls had HUGE chunks and gauges in them. And there was an employee who was really creepy and I felt very uncomfortable having my 4 month old son there since he kept coming around us.

Yelp
I've been to The Edition many times but never to the basement. I was pleasantly surprised by this cute little nook tucked away downstairs with a great bar, bowling alley, and ice skating room. I went for a friends birthday and had a time. I didn't have any food there but she enjoyed her pizza. The bartender however threw me off a bit when I expressed my Aperol spritz was more Aperol than bubbles so he told me next time tell him in advance to ask for less Aperol. Without offering to fix it at all. I just asked for a little club soda added since he didn't initially. And didn't overtip since there's already gratuity included. Bringing my drink to $27 and change. At any rate overall I enjoyed and would go back.

Yelp
The ambiance was incredible and the drinks were great. We had a great time with bowling and ice skating for a friends birthday. They limit you on the time to bowl and quickly have other parties lined up so you're not allowed there for too long, however, a good time isn't always a long time either.

Yelp
Haven't been there in a while but when I used to go, I loved the ambience and entertainment that this hotel offers. Fun atmosphere and great music!

Yelp
I have been coming here for many years and during the pandemic, they closed down the nightclub portion of this bar, but they kept open the other side, which has a full bar, ice-skating rink, and several bowling lanes. We came after dinner and started with lemoncello shots which were light and sweet. We got a bowling lane for the six of us, everything about that was fun and delightful. The ice-skating area was uneven we heard from people who had just done it and it wasn't a easy experience so we chose to pass on that. We continued drinking margaritas, and they tasted top-notch. It's clean and the couches were comfortable. The bathroom had no line even though we were there on a Friday night, the staff was attentive, and it wasn't hard to order a drink. I love this place I will definitely be back again soon.

Yelp
We came here for my friends' bachelorette party and it was decent. FYI, if you wanna go to a dancing club/bar, this isn't the place for you. However there are a lot of other things that make this place fun - a bowling alley and indoor ice skating too. Decent variety of drinks and the lobby is great for getting a few photos in too. Yelp
We went on a Thursday night around 8 pm for a drink! It was super empty but sooooo cute. The bowling lanes were lit up And the small Ice ring was cute as well. The bartender was really nice and made awesome cocktails and the DJ/security guard was Mixing awesome music! The ice skating ring is free from 8-9 !

Yelp
I really liked Basement. Albeit small, it had great energy and was very fun to hang out at. Yes, the drinks are expensive and so are the activities, but if you come with a big group or corporate team building event, it would be a blast and costs spread out for the food / drink minimums. I would return, and I agree with the other reviewer's about how cool the lobby of the Edition Hotel is. Plan to spend some time there taking photos! The staff is great too!

A great and unexpected destination in the basement of hotel edition. Call first, ask they are not open every night.

Yelp
Welcome to the Basement! This place was recommended as a cool spot to check out when you're tired of the usual Miami scene. I can only speak on the bowling and skating rink. In the weekends there is a huge area that turns into more of a nightclub for party goers as well. Seeing that Basement is located right in Edition hotel, you can expect this place to always be packed no matter when you go. When I arrived the skating rink was partially filled with guests. I managed to find an open lane in the bowling alley. It cost me about $25 to play. The other lanes were packed with groups of people who I assume where hotel guests. The wait staff comes by to check up on you and see if you want to place an order. Overall, very friendly and helpful. I had a fun time bowling here. I would love to come back. What I didn't realize is by the end of the night they turn on all the lights and it gives you more of a nightclub feeling. That sounds more fun than playing a regular game in the daytime. I should have waited and checked it out after hours. Oh well, there's always next time I guess.

Yelp
This was part two of my sister's upcoming wedding celebration. After our sisters dinner, we had planned for everyone else to meet us at Basement at 8pm, where we had 2 bowling lanes reserved. Arriving to the place, and entering the beautiful hotel was great! We found the "Basement" easy enough, and were greeted immediately. As planned, the two lanes were ready for us, and we just had to go and get our shoes. When making the reservations, they asked for us to get drinks with our server and not at the bar. Well, half hour later, no server had appeared. After we went to the bar, she came and reminded us to place orders with her - Umm, sure, if you cared to come around and ask for our orders. After that, at least she became a bit more attentive and we didn't have to wait that long for drinks anymore. Note, drinks are expensive, about $18/ each, and 20% gratuity is included in each and every tab, regardless of how many people or how many things ordered. The bowling part was fun. Neon lights, well-kept lanes and lounge area. DJ playing music, making the game more fun and giving it that Lounge/ Club feel. 2 hours were done, and our reservation expired so it was time to pay. This is where I had another issue... First they brought check for the drinks. Had to wait until that was processed. Then they brought check for the bowling part but instead of charging the 2 hours, they did one hour at a time. This took longer than needed and was annoying. We all had to wait there until they finished (what usually is) a simple process and took time away from our fun. Thankfully, included in the reservation, they allowed us to do ice skating too, which is great for videos and lots of laughs. After this we went to the other side, where the actual lounge is. Same expensive drinks, same 20% included, but at least there was some good music to dance, and the place is also really nice. As a plus, this is a great place for those IG pictures... Lights, writings/ sayings on the walls, videos, will show everyone the fun you had. We had a good time, but based on service, prices, and the paying issue, I give it 3 stars.

Yelp
Great hidden gem! Went here on a Thursday night. It was very low key but that can be desirable (especially as a girl solo traveling). The hotel lobby is incredibly sleek and modern so it's a total 180 to end up in this candy colored bar but in a good way. Speakeasy vibes without being a speakeasy. The ice rink is so cute and a great photo op. (And yes it is real ice!) Staff was very helpful and even sharpened the rentals for me. Ice was choppy but hey it's an ice rink in a basement in Miami. I didn't bowl but looked like a lot of fun! Drinks were standard $20/house cocktail but had a nice pour. If you want a crazy, crowded club experience this isn't the place but if you want an aesthetic, chill bar with interesting activities this is for you!
google avatar

Mena M.

Yelp
It's a cute idea for a club; downstairs of a hotel on south beach. It's modern, clean, and hidden. Since I'm not a club person, I wouldn't be the best judge if it's a "popping" club or not. I can speak to the drinks being strong, the DJ Playing the most popular songs, and the crowd was mixed. I'm all about a vibe and this club had a good vibe. On one aid of the building, near the restrooms sat a full bowling alley. It was nicely lit, that DJ was playing a different mood, and it was a really cool chill spot. On the other side of the building sits the full night club with more of a crowd, more bartend Ed, and louder music. I would go again if I got an invite.

Yelp
Severely conflicted in leaving this review as I've always been a big fan of Basement. They get some of the best bookings and have a very unique space. But there are several downsides and last weekend was just too much. The club, like any establishment surely, can and will close as soon as it dies out - so while you see "open until 5a" it's really more like 3am. This isn't Better Days! Well given the lack of communication and professionalism, my girlfriend and I were sold a drink at 3:20am and promptly kicked out of the venue 10 minutes later with a near full drink in hand. Upon voicing our complaint to "James" and the bouncers, we were then heckled, and I was physically pushed out of the space. Even when we were on the sidewalk (public space in this case), the bouncer continued to push and entice me to fight saying "what are you going to do tough guy;" even though he was not threatened once. Three other bouncers stood watching, "James," who works for the club first tells me to come back another time. Then when I tell him I'm a long time patron, tells me to never come back. Sgt Lester, a cop that works that beat, walks by and isn't much help - also seemingly confused by whether the sidewalk was public property or not. Needless to say: Basement, you just have to not be complete a-holes and if you're going to close down early, don't sell people drinks right before. Also, serve some damn tap water, it's the law. I love you but we need a break.

Yelp
Atmosphere was super fun, with Covid our group ended up being the only ones in the bowling area. Wouldn't recommend food as it wasn't very good, especially for the price. Really cute spot for pics and a girls night. You have to wear closed toe shoes otherwise you need to rent theirs, pretty standard bowling shoes. Pleasseeeee bring your own socks bc theirs are $10-$15 per pair and they only have high ass socks

Yelp
This place is awesome. Adam, the guy who works there, is a sweetheart. Super attentive! He deserves a raise . Super cool vibes, but try to get there early before the drunk people.

Yelp
Basement is a cool spot to check out when you want to do something different other than the usual while in Miami or if it's raining. It's located in the basement of the beautiful Edition hotel. It's a lounge/club that has a bowling alley with 4 lanes and bar along with a small skating rink. It's very girly and cute with the rainbow lights and cute quotes which is great for pictures. To bowl, you must reserve a lane in advance for $50 an hour which seems like a lot but not if you split it with the people in your group. With two people, we played at least 5-6 games. The drinks were somewhat pricey and the fries we ate were pretty good. We did not get a chance to skate and we came around 8pm so the club hours had not started yet so I can only review the bowling area. I would highly recommend checking it out.

Yelp
Lawdy dawdy..we likes to party... is the theme for The Basement! Oh yea, it's a fun place and a very "Miami" and "South Beach" to go to. Located inside The beautiful all white themed The Edition Hotel on 29 the and Collins. Side note (must stay there one day). A left turn at the lobby and down the elevator you will find The Basement. When you come out the elevator to the left is the night club which is 21 and over. To the right is the Ice Skating ring and 4 lane Bowling Alley and a bar strategically placed in between. There are also sofa lounges on both sides of the room. The lights are dim and it has a night club feel to it. The ice skating rink and bowling is all ages till 8pm then you must be 21 and over. I celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday here and it was the best choice to do so. We had more or less 25 people in our party. I had 1 hour of bowling followed by 1 hour of ice skating. The vibe was great and we even danced to some of the music playing in the background. Some of the bowling balls are little risqué but not xrated. Neon lights stand out in the background of the alley and also the skating ring. The ice skating ring is small compared to a full size one but it's lighting is super cool and even has a circular lounge chair in the middle of the ring. Only complaint would be that the ice is choppy and uneven not well maintained making it hard to skate. Still a great time though. I was able to bring in my own cake and balloons for the party but I did order 10 pizzas that were gourmet thin flatbread style with prosciutto, margarrite and truffles. All 3 were great! For some reason all the kids raved about the French fries, I guess they were good but I didn't get to try. Also ordered the chicken fingers that were complemented by the adults as well. I do have to say that the alcoholic drinks were high quality and fantastic but very pricey. Typical South Beach more or less $20 per drink. Worth it if you can afford it, they do their job. ;) The hostess were great with me. Karoline Is amazing and super kind and also our main hostess with the blonde hair and glasses I feel so bad I don't remember her name, she was patient with our party and professional. Tips are included so pay attention. A fun, cool place to go clubbing and go ice skating or bowling afterwards in your party attire a little tipsy! Parking valet is $25 and there is street parking in the surrounding area.

Yelp
Now this is what I think of when I think of Miami, and specifically when I think of South Beach. Picture it, you pull up to the swanky SOBE hotel (in this case it's The Edition), walk up the stairs and entire the hotel lobby which is adorned with modern fixtures (think a mixture of wood, silver/metal and white), lush plants, and people who don't give you the time of day. As you enter the hotel you make your way to the back where you'll walk down a flight of stairs and be taken to a place like no other. The sounds of hip hop music begins to fill your ears. And then it all begins- the party. Let me say that it takes a lot for me to want to go out and really get loose anymore. I know, I'm old. A few friends of mine talked me into coming to Basement for Peach Fuzz which happens pretty much every last Friday of the month. It's a monthly 90's hip hop themed party playing those classics you used to jam to in middle and high school. Ah the memories. The fun we had their man was off the charts. It's got such amazing energy. Maybe it's the music? It brings everyone to a happier place. They're playing Ja Rule and Ashanti, Missy, Tupac- you name it and everyone is just jamming; dancing and of course rapping along with the music. In true Miami fashion the drinks will run you $20. They don't tell you that there is already a gratuity built in. I don't go here that often so I guess it doesn't bother me plus I kind of expect it when you're in Miami. But I will say if you still tip your waitress there she'll be your best friend. You'll need her to be your girl when it gets packed. I know it's not the cool thing, but get there early. I know, no one likes to be the first guy or girl at the party, but this party fills up and it fills up pretty quickly and who wants to wait in line? And once the people pile in it gets pretty warm. AKA you're going to sweat like crazy. Basement has a cool sitting area outside of the club, some video games and a photo booth- I love a photo booth. This thing will email photos and .gifs of your antics. On a separate side of the room is where the bowling alley and ice skating rink is. We didn't venture, maybe next time. I was too busy dancing the night away.

Yelp
That night I walked into the Basement I didn't expect to see a bowling alley and ice-skating rink. I thought I was going to a club to get my party on. After sitting down and feeling out the vibe I was ready to go when my husband handed me my drink and said are you ready to party? I said, "where? in here?", with a puzzled look on my face. He looked at me, chuckled and said, "No, the club next door!", with a sly grin. The Basement has many parts to it and once you get past security, checking to see if you're 21 and old enough to get in, you can choose to hang out at the bowling alley, or the ice-skating rink, which are to the right side of the entryway, or the club which is on the other side. It was definitely a club and party til you drop night for us. The music was loud and it was semi-crowded. Many of the VIP areas were beginning to fill-up. By the time I was on my second drink (or it might have been my 3rd) bodies were back-to-back, wall-to-wall, the music was throbbing through the speakers, and the clubbers were swept away into another world, allowing the night to have its way with us. I was in heaven. It was a regular Saturday night. No special guests or (to my knowledge) guest DJ's. The crowd was a mixture of young and mature folks. The DJ played a variety of music that moved quickly between genres. At times it was annoying because it just didn't flow to my liking but the atmosphere and the people around me made up for it. It's a great place to party in Miami. It's located in the lavish, 5 Star, 'The Miami Edition Hotel'. We didn't have to pay a cover charge however, I would suggest checking ahead to make sure this is the case when you're ready to go.

Yelp
Very expensive game of bowling. Ordered truffle pizza which was delish but the chicken sandwich and fries came back cold. They serve the food in boxes, which I thought is weird. I felt also very rushed in thr experience.

Yelp
I went to basement the other day for a group event and was looking forward to seeing the place. I had heard about it in passing. That it was a hip spot that you could hang with friends and have a good time. So when I got the invite I was looking forward to it greatly. When I showed up everyone was bowling already. They were having a blast. It wasn't like a normal bowling alley though. The music was blasting(cool), a lot of funky lighting(meh), and very few balls to choose from(not good). It took me half a game to find a ball that fit my very average fingers. Most were made for a child it seemed. The timing was rough, we had booked the ice rink too. We couldn't finish our last bowling game but that only mattered to us that were keeping track of scores. We wrapped up things and went over to the ice rink room. It wasn't a great transition as we sat and waiting for what seemed a very long time to close out checks and be allowed in the ice area. That was interesting. It's a small room with an iced floor. Some took to it quickly. I tried hard to get it but the first skates they gave me had a bent skate. When I finally switched out with the desk they just put the bent skate set back up on the wall. That was perturbing. It was a good time but the drawbacks made it tough to imagine going back. The slow service, long delay between events, and lack of ball choices left most of us wishing we had chose another place. It's original though.

Madaline S.

Yelp
Uuummm not exactly what I thought it was going to be. It's super small and SUPER over priced. We did the little skate room. Skates are worn out and smelly.. and the ice is bumpy and not very well maintained. They have so much potential but it's just not it. The pictures make it look bigger and more than it actually has. Although the hotel it is located in is BEAUTIFUL and I had more fun snapping photos in the lobby than I did in the basement.

Yelp
This is such a cute spot in Miami!!! I found out about this using yelp. I'm so glad we went. This isn't like your regular club either, there's an ice skating rink, a bowling alley and a pool table AND a separate area to turn up and drink and dance!! It was so cute and such a cool vibe. I loved it. We went on Saturday night. Although, I suspect that most people there that night were tourists. Basement doesn't close until 5:00 a.m. either. Plenty of places to sit and cuddle up with your boo, or a night out with your girls. The DJ was pretty good too. At first he was playing a lot of early 2000s like Jarule and Ashanti, Nelly, and 50 cent, and then he worked his way to playing more recent Hip Hop & Pop like Drake, DJ Khaled, and Kodak Black.

Yelp
Basement is actually a pretty cool nightclub located on the bottom floor at the EDITION hotel in Miami Beach. This place is a bit different from the typical night club as it has separate rooms which house a small bowling alley, ice skating rink and a nightclub. Came here and got 3 bottles and I must say the experience was actually pretty solid from the beginning to the wee hours of the morning. This place is actually really fun and my crew had a great time taking in all of the amenities. Overall, not a bad nightclub especially if you are looking for an alternative to LIV, Story etc... Pros- Located within EDITION Friendly staff Great bottle service Cocktail servers Floor layout of club Ice skating Bowling Open late Great DJs (mainly top 40 hip hop) Great dancers Cons- Interesting crowd VERY pricey Can get really crowded

Veronica G.

Yelp
The Basement is a vibe. Visited for a friend's birthday shindig. The options for parking are street parking or valet parking. The Basement is located inside of a hotel and the ambiance is modern & hip. The bowling alley is small and nice enough for a friendly bowling game. The club is smaller than most South Beach spots and the DJ on the night of my visit was okay.

Yelp
This place is really cool great idea and concept. I believe we would have a better time if we were with a few couples or more friends. This place would be perfect for a birthday or bachelorette party. Drinks were strong and very good, music was ok needed a better club vibe but all and all it was good. We will try again when we come with friends.

Yelp
Wow, this place really had it all starting from the stunning hotel lobby entrance, to the compartmentalized rooms and areas and the staff (including bouncers) who WEREN'T RUDE!!! My least favorite thing to do in Miami is go to the club.....we all understand why; but in this case, a friend of ours knew the bartender at Basement so we decided to hit her up on the early side of the night after dinner. Not yet to crowded, the multi-bar, multi-room space was hop'n with a great mix of hip hop, pop and electronic mash-ups. The drinks were poured heavy, and it didn't take much nudging for rounds of shots to happen. The space is accented with little touches like the bowling rink, the lounge room with all neon lights and of course the dance floor. If you want to be seen, opt for a table in the center of the dance floor. People weren't shy about shaking it to the beat, and the glass covered floor was a nightmare for the porters who had to keep cleaning up. As the night went on and the crowds came, somehow you never had to wait more than a few minutes to get a drink from the back bar of the club area, and no wait at all if you want out to the front bar. I didn't see anyone using the skating rink or the bowling alley but the aww factor was achieved. Reasonably priced, unique, fun and full of nice staff, Basement is my new go-to club next time I'm in town!

Yelp
My wife and I came here late and had fun. It was really pumping on Wednesday night. A lot of things going on with the ice skating, bowling and people just hanging out at the bar. The music was pretty solid and we enjoyed it 100%. The crowd was really diverse which is a cool thing since a lot of clubs have one type of crowd a lot of times: club crowd. Having other things to do adds to the diversity here.

Yelp
This place ruined our NYE 2020. Bought a ticket $150 for an open bar with entry at 10:00PM but never got in ever. The staff had no clue of how to scan, how to let people in nor to do anything. Instead we were being bullied for asking questions about wasting our open bar time or refund or just anything. A night ruined as the staff just cannot do their job. The guy was trying to scare us by calling for additional staff to push us out, instead its funny that he was just acting his ass off while no one was responding over his walkie-talkie. And the women scanning tickets had no clue what she was doing! This place sucks and is a ruiner for any celebration.

Yelp
My wallet fell out of my jacket and the head of security found it! Thanks Raul! They were so nice, they even found my hotel key in my wallet and called the hotel to let them know they had it, just in case I didn't realize I lost it. Then to top it all off they gave my friend and I free drink coupons

Yelp
I had seen a lot of pictures of this place on Instagram, so I was very happy to find it when I was visiting Miami. It was confusing at first, being that the entrance is inside a hotel, but the staff out front was very helpful. I was there on a Wednesday night, so the dance floor on one side was closed, but the bar, bowling lanes, and ice skating rink were open. Everything in there is beautifully lit with colorful, changing lights and it made it out to be a very inviting and trendy environment. I am only giving 4 stars because the activities are limited and the prices are high. However, I had a great time ice skating with my friends and the employee there, Adam, was extremely friendly and courteous in helping us skate and making our visit memorable!!

Yelp
Our new favorite spot! We celebrated my husbands birthday @ The Basement and it was amazing. It's a really small venue with a bar, 3 lanes and a small ice skating rink. Meghan emailed me back and forth in a timely fashion and helped me coordinate the party. I was so happy with the service from everyone that i saved them birthday cake to eat after there shift. The guy in charge of ice skates was really nice!!! He helped everyone put their skates on and went out of his way to help us. Zeleen was our server and constantly asked if we needed anything. I had a great time and my husband was impressed. We will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Fun place to change up the regular bar/club scene in Miami Beach. They have three bowling lanes, an ice skating rink, and several bar areas. I have gone for two birthday get togethers and have left extremely happy both times. There's just so much to do as you enjoy your drinks. You can expect typical Miami Beach prices but overall a great spot.

Yelp
This place is cool because it has an ice skating rink and a bowling alley, with the bar. It's about $30/person to go ice skating for an hour or so. Not sure how much it is for the bowling alley. It also has a night club I'm told but I didn't stay here long enough to see that get going. It's located inside the Edition hotel in the basement or downstairs from the main lobby. It's kinda small, not a lot of seating. This is definitely a place for a small group or you might lose track of your group. Nothing really amazing about this place. I didn't really have a good time when I went, which was this last Friday, but like most places these parties don't hype up until way later in the night. I wouldn't show up here until 11 PM or later. Otherwise it's pretty lame before that.

Yelp
Do not come here on a busy night or passed 11:00pm. Also do not trust "Vlad's list." It is said that there is free entry but you usually need to be on a list in busier hours. When I arrived they told me I couldn't get in on the list. When texting Vlad the promoter he said he can get me in but that now there's a $200 tab minimum. After he said $150 and kept throwing up random numbers and excuses to try and get you to come in. Avoid coming when they have events and busy hours. Horrible customer service, I'm from vegas and I've never had these issues before especially with a promoter and a club like this.

Yelp
Basement is located in the bottom floor of the Ritz Carlton Edition. When you valet your car which is $35, you enter the lobby and make a left. I have to say the lobby is gorgeous. The decor is palm trees with white decor and the aroma is superb. So we made our way downstairs, which then we were greeted by a bouncer who checked out ID. IDK if it's free all night but we did arrive at around 11:00pm. When you enter right in front of you is like sliding glass doors with curtains, which you can't enter. So you have to either go right or left. At this time it looked like the left was popping more so we walked that way. The left side is a bowling alley, a bar, and the ice skating rink. We got our first set of drinks which ended up being $65 for 3 drinks. We did ice skating which we got for free but it's normally $25 per person. The skates were damp and had a horrible odor to them. The ice rink is small the size of a living room and the ice was chopped up pretty hard which made it difficult to skate. After a while, we went to the right hand side which was a pool table, a tiny bar, and a room to the actual club. We sat outside of the club room talking for about an hour until the club got full. It was cool and all but the music wasn't up to par. He DJ played an arrange of music but didn't know how to mix it well or to let the track play for a bit before the next track.

Yelp
Love the environment!! Great place to go with a group of friends. Kinda over priced but it's Miami and a specialty bar. Ice skating was a blast! Didn't get to bowl unfortunately b/c our alley broke and didn't get fixed before we left

Yelp
Located in the Edition hotel, Basement has a well stocked bar, a small 4 lane bowling alley, ice skating rink, video games and a club. We came here on a Thursday night at around 11:30 and I was lucky enough to score parking just a few spaces away from the entrance to the hotel; Otherwise, as patrons of nearby bars and restaurants like Broken Shaker can attest, finding parking in this area can be difficult. Upon entering the hotel, one simply turns left and walks past the elevators where you'll find a staircase that leads down to "Basement" (though there is no signage for the correct staircase - you just have to follow the crowd noise). To the left is the club/arcade games, to the right is the bar/bowling alley/skating rink. On the weeknight we came the rink and alleys were open, but the club/arcade was closed. We ordered a beer from the bar, and asked about rates to use the ice rink as that's really why we came here (lucky, too, as all 4 bowling lanes were occupied and looked busy). It was $25 per 1/2 hour to use the ice rink, including skate rental. With 2 of us skating, each of us getting a beer and the included 20% gratuity, the bill came to $68. We went to the counter to get our skates and sign the waiver, then put our shoes in the provided lockers. The first set of skates I was given had a blade that was bent fairly badly on one of them, so I had to get a replacement. I'm sure the attendant probably put the bent one back on the shelf. There were 2 other couples on the ice as we entered the rink, but there was plenty of space for all of us. The ice sheet isn't huge, but it's big enough for several people and there are grab rails on all sides for newbies to hold onto. There's also a round pillar toward one side with a cushioned seat all the way around it, so people can sit if they wish. The ice really wasn't groomed well, especially around the back side of the pillar where the ice surface was particularly rough. My partner is a beginner, but after a few minutes he was skating like a pro, and since we were the only 2 on the ice when our 1/2 hour was up, the staff peered in to ask if everything was OK, then let us continue skating. It should be noted that, even though the room is filled with a sheet of ice it's not really cold inside and we were both comfortable (in fact, my partner was sweating after skating around for a while). The arcade and club were dark and the doors were locked on the Thursday night we were here, but we plan to return to try this place again when everything at Basement is operational.

Yelp
I've been ice skating since I was 3 years old, I was a competitive synchronized ice skater for 14 years, and this place is AWESOME! Adam made the experience 1000% better. He was awesome and I demand he gets a raise!

Yelp
EDIT TO BELOW: After further investigation, we bought our tickets from AIM Hospitality Group, a very phony company with many negative reviews. Basement is a pretty unique spot - one star was for phony tickets. Avoid AIM Hospitality if you want real tickets to events! Original: One star is generous. This place sucks. Would not recommend. We bought open bar for NYE and they were acting like tickets were fake. Everyone in line had this issue. They only let us in after a "one star" chant by the entire line.

Yelp
Absolutely one of my favorite places. Miami has a surplus of options for nightlife, but only Basement can say they have an ice skating rink and bowling next to the club. To find Basement, you have to go through the EDITION hotel. The lobby is gorgeous. Basement itself is BEAUTIFUL; I'm a sucker for pretty lights. The ice skating rink is a little small, but it can definitely accommodate the people there. If you forget socks, they offer the really thin ones they have when you try on shoes at a store. Not exactly ideal, but I appreciate that they have them for those who weren't prepared (AKA me). On the night I went, it was busy but not overwhelmingly packed. I really enjoyed the music, a combo of today's hits with 90s/early 2000s hip hop & RnB. TIP: for ladies, go on Wednesday night! You typically have to pay for bowling, and ice skating is typically $30 for a half hour. Wednesday is ladies night, so bowling and ice skating are free for the night. I would definitely recommend getting there a little earlier, since we were told that free bowling ends at 11:00.

Yelp
It was very nice. I will say they are not stingy with the alcohol but still don't think it's worth the price. I took my own drink in and they didn't bother me with it. Not that many lanes to bowl but the people was very friendly. We didn't ice skate but we did stop by the club which was also nice. The food was very good. I really enjoyed their truffle fries.

Yelp
Horribly unregulated lanes. Absolutely no maintenance, and not greased at all. Would not recommend for bowling at all. If going for a night out with drinks with friends then would recommend. But for bowling purposes...horrible.

Yelp
Basement was the final stop of a Friday night out on the beach. Did not order any drinks, just hung out for a little while and enjoyed the music before heading home. Quality Basement is a very unique club experience on Miami Beach. It is a massive space with a bowling alley, ice skating rink, bar, and club area. They have lots of unique cocktails, plenty of beers, as well as bottle service, if it is that kind of night. I did not order any drinks on this evening, but I can attest from past experiences that the drinks are on point. Quantity The beers come in bottles so you know what you are getting. The cocktails are all fair, but these are bartenders who are measuring out each one. Value Even though Basement can feel like a more casual club, the prices will remind you that it absolutely is on Miami Beach. Pricey drinks no matter what you get, but not quite as bad as some of the bigger name spots. However, on a Friday night there was no cover, which is nothing to balk at. Ambiance Basement is my favorite club on Miami Beach, because it just does not feel like your standard club. Located inside the stylish Edition Hotel, Basement is found past the lobby and down a flight of stairs. The club itself is gigantic with several separated areas. Once you enter you are in a lobby like area that works as a quieter and relaxing escape from other areas of the club. It has a few couches and it is a place you can catch your breath and talk to others without needing to yell. On one end they have the bar area, which has attached a bowling alley and an ice skating rink. The other end has a jungle themed room that is the actual dance club. The bar area has a centralized bar that makes getting a drink much easier than a typical club. On the reverse side of the bar they have a few bowling lanes that are brightly colored. Instead of rickety chairs, comfortable VIP-like seating is available for large parties. Towards the back of this area you can see through a large window the ice skating rink. Even though it is not a huge rink it is big enough for about a dozen people to enjoy a skate. Bright neon colors and music plays into this area. The bar section has a DJ, but it is definitely a more relaxed vibe than the other room. During our visit we spent more time in the dance club area. A more packed and confined space, it is set up for loud beats and sweaty dancing. The DJ in this room was mixing up 90s R&B and house music. There is a bar towards the front of the space, but it is not as simple grabbing a drink in this room. Crowd It was a fun crowd on Friday night and the dance club room was bustling. The bar area was less busy, but the bowling alley lanes were all in use. I really enjoy the fact that even though it is a club it does not come with that same pretentiousness that I have come to expect across Miami Beach. It is about grabbing a drink, dancing, and enjoying the company of friends. Service It is a much more relaxed club and one that does not come with a line on most nights. The bouncers were very friendly as was the security inside the club. Parking The hotel offers valet parking, but since we were out for the night we used a car service. They have an easy pick-up zone and we were in a car within minutes of leaving the club. Extra I am not a club person, so usually getting me to go out to one is a tough sale. However, Basement is an exception because of the more relaxed vibes and fun guests. The simple fact that they have an area away from the action to relax for a minute makes such a huge difference. I also enjoy the bar area, which is a nice middle ground. The prices are still high for drinks, but even so, I believe Basement is miles above its contemporaries.

Yelp
Once upon a time bowling alleys and ice rinks were places where pubescent teens would have their parents drop them off for a couple of hours of good, clean, fun. My how times have changed. Basement is a whimsical playground for adults - with copious amounts of booze. Playing arcade, skating the rink, or hitting the lanes while lit will definitely exceed your fondest childhood memories. While we didn't partake in any of these activities we definitely hit the club in the Basement. It is a small venue and gets very packed by midnight. As with every fresh new venue on the beach the talent level here is HIGH. Also, I am not sure if it is the official "entertainment" but there was a dude dressed as Pikachu pouring shots into everyone's mouths and a blow-up male sex doll making his way through the room. Definitely an "only in Miami" moment. We had an amazing time and after significant damage to my wallet we ubered our way outta there. Luckily we somehow avoided a cover charge so I felt a teeny bit better. Overall this is a great place to have a good time. The door policy is not obnoxious like some other places (Yes I'm looking at you LIV) so it's a great stress free place to go rock it out even last minute.

Yelp
A little difficult to find, as its at the bottom of a hotel! Once you find it prepare to be mind blown! It has a bowling alley, bar, and mini ice skating rink! Super neat night out other than your typical night club!

Yelp
In theory, this place should be an amazing club. It's located in a swanky hotel, has a cool name, is relatively low-key, has an ICE RINK?!, and a BOWLING ALLEY??? However, when I arrived - it was pretty empty and it was clear that anyone stopping by was just stopping by for the Instagram photo opp. Admittedly, I also snapped a few photos to post about this "cool club with the ice rink and bowling alley" but I didn't partake in either very expensive activity, dance, or even get a drink. I wanted to love Basement... but it fell way short of the very high expectations I had.

Yelp
Went bowling on a Tuesday and loved it! I can't comment on price as it was complimentary event, but I can comment on the ambiance and food. Ambiance: I was definitely a fan. They brought back all the 90s baby making R&B musiq which I feel I need more of in my life. I'm talking Brandy, Destinys child, ashanti, Craig David throwbacks. Lighting was as cool as it looks in all those pictures and they have a photo booth thing too. Food: Dishes were small but decent. Pizza's are personal size but good. I have high standards for my fries and I would recommend. Meatballs were pricey for how few you get...would get something else even though they were tasty. Overall fun time.
