The 13 Best Breakfast Sandwiches In Seattle - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Baskette gets it when it comes to keeping things simple. Their compact breakfast sandwich comes on a plush milk bun with a bubbly egg square, super sticky American cheese, and a foolishly underutilized meat—Canadian bacon. The only real decision to make is whether or not to add hot sauce, but the answer is definitely “yes.” Plus, they do a $20 morning special that includes the breakfast sandwich, drip coffee (or orange juice), and a sticky cinnamon roll." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

For food that goes well with a relaxing day, there’s Baskette - Review - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Baskette is where you should head on a breezy Sunday morning when the grocery run is done, and the mountain of laundry blocking your door has finally been reduced to a manageable mole hill. It’s a laid-back Fremont counter where the smell of fresh-baked cinnamon rolls greets you and people are quietly doing the crossword with a cup of self-serve drip coffee. No matter when you come, there is always fun new stuff to discover. The chalkboard menu changes often. Treat it like a game of M*A*S*H: pick a baked good, grab a soup or salad, and get a sandwich (particularly the breakfast version). Lunch options are just as strong, with chicken pesto on plush focaccia and juicy braised lamb sandwiches that will require lots of napkins. While waiting on an order, check out the small market area full of picnic essentials like fancy crackers, tinned fish, and pickled things you never knew you needed. Food Rundown Breakfast Sandwich Baskette nails simplicity on a soft milk bun. It’s got a bubbly egg square, melty American cheese, and the unsung hero of breakfast meats—Canadian bacon. Hot sauce is a must. photo credit: Nate Watters Chia Seed Pudding A tangy burst of mango puree makes this pleasant dish more interesting and a nice little aside. Cinnamon Roll We imagine this is what the lovechild of a cinnamon roll and sticky bun would be. It's a bit denser and stickier than a traditional cinnamon roll, but divine nonetheless. photo credit: Nate Watters House Baked Focaccia Sandwich This little number puts any dry chicken breast sandwich to shame—it oozes mozzarella and has loads of spinachy pesto to keep it moist. photo credit: Nate Watters Brown Butter Rosemary Pecan Cookie Don't leave here without one of these for the road. It’s got the right balance of salty-sweet, plus a fragrant earthy kick from some rosemary caramel on top. photo credit: Nate Watters" - Kayla Sager-Riley

Google
One of my absolute favorite bakeries and breakfast/lunch spots in Seattle and I’m fortunate enough to have them in my neighborhood. They’re food is top notch every time from sweet to savory options. You can tell they use good ingredients and take pride in their recipes and presentation. The gentleman behind the counter is always friendly and accommodating too. Definitely patron this place!

Stellar service from the gentlemen up front! He was so kind, polite, and patient with my son and me. The breakfast sandwich was very good as was the hot sauce. It was definitely at least a medium on the spicy scale so get it on the side if you’re worried about your heat tolerance. The cinnamon role was decent, but not warmed up which is what I’m used to. It was still good and soft though! Very clean and quaint little eating area, though seating was limited to what looked like 3 tables if you’re eating inside. Free water which was a nice addition. Thanks for the pleasant quick breakfast!

Run, don’t walk, to book Baskette for your next catering need! We’ve loved the food at their cafe for a while, so we decided to reach out to Baskette about catering a Sunday brunch for the morning after our wedding. Stephan and his team were so helpful partnering with us to plan a spread that fit a wide variety of dietary restrictions, and were respectful with figuring out how to do that within our budget. Working with them was so easy and fun! The brunch came out beautifully, and we had rave reviews from family and friends, including several who made a point of stopping by the cafe on their way out of town because they just needed one more cinnamon roll. We’d work with Baskette again in a heartbeat!!

One of my favorite bfast sammies ever! Also the sweetest staff as well. Miso chocolate chip cookie was sooooo good. Great vibes here in a cozy neighborhood cafe setting, a very special breakfast sandwich made with care and flavor, and a lovely lemonade. Definitely will be back with friends:) 10/10 recommend. Shoutout to Kelly and Stephen! Recommended by Infatuation

Google
Little breakfast spot we found when adventuring around Seattle. Awesome customer service and delicious food and juices! Had to grab a couple sweets on our way out. They were absolutely amazing, too! Looking forward to returning.

Google
Adorable little bakery in Fremont! The owner Kelley and the baker Eamon are super friendly and very welcoming. Literally the best cinnamon roll I’ve had in all of Seattle, and unique baked goods like Japanese squash monkey bread with mango chutney. Sooo good! Please make a visit here and support them, it’s wonderful all around!!

Google
The food buss, the coffee good, ambience great it feels like a bistro in Europe. They let the ingredients shine and speak for itself rather than stacking sauces on top of sauces. Great place to chill work from cafe or just enjoy lunch.

Yelp
I always enjoy stopping in at Baskette when in Fremont. I've enjoyed the baked goods and coffee. They have a nice variety of cookies including miso chocolate chip cookies and butter pecan with a hint of rosemary. Service is always friendly and welcoming. I look forward to returning to try items on their menu.

Yelp
Nice location, great decor! Outstanding service! Cookie is really good, but monkey bread, breakfast sandwich, asparagus sandwich and split pea soup is below average. We might stop by again for the cookie, but not something we would go out of our way to visit again.

Yelp
Tldr: great sandwiches and pastries. Super cute vibes, street parking. Service: they were really nice, they were closing in 30 but still gave us the option to eat there. Ambiance: really cute outside and inside. Very clean and well decorated. Food: I ordered the focaccia bread and tuna sandwich. They were both wrapped to go and when I was guessing which was the focaccia, I was surprised that the focaccia was harder than the tuna sandwich the top of the focaccia is toasted really well. The pesto was good, it's not the pesto I expected it to be, it was a little chunky. It was not oily after eating it. The tuna sandwich on the other hand was good, had good cheesy taste and melt. The tuna was drier and the bread was drier but it might be because it's not full of oil and butter like other places make their tuna melts, so it was surprising that the sandwiches weren't oily. The miso cookie was good though, I couldn't taste the miso but it was a good sweetness, and it had salt flakes and a good balance of texture. I also got the Nanaimo bar which were pretty good, I just think it had too much topping personally, but if you enjoy that you would really like it! Both desserts were just the right amount of sweetness.

Yelp
Great place to get some healthy food! I got the breakfast smoothie and their miso chocolate chip cookie, which both were great! Very refreshing and flavorful, I highly recommend and would come back

Yelp
French themed newer spot in Fremont at the former video rental store. Coffee Run group did a run here and I got a miso chocolate chip cookie that was really good. They had really cold ice water too which is always a plus. The online menu should be updated though as there coffee drinks that are not listed now. It seems like they make all of their own goods. Would come again!

Yelp
Fantastic food - great service The food is all made from scratch - Stephan is an amazing chef I've had both meals there and events catered - all top notch I'm buying that wallpaper

Yelp
Delicious food, friendly service, but beware: explicit sexual imagery in the bathroom! 5/5 for food and service. 1/5 for having bathroom artwork that belongs in an 18+ establishment, not an all-ages cafe. My family and I went to Baskette for brunch. And the food is amazing! The flavors are rich and creative. We had a grilled cheese, a tomato soup that was to die for, an amazing quinoa, salad, and a mouthwatering lamb sandwich. I can't recommend the food here enough! And the staff is super friendly, and it's a lovely café decor inside. Seating is a little bit limited, but we were able to get a table for our family without too much trouble. But if you have children, I would recommend avoiding the bathroom. there are several framed wallpaper pieces depicting a ménage à trois with full exposure of all genitalia.

Yelp
Cute interior, street parking, cozy atmosphere and friendly service....you can't ask for more. We stopped in for a quick post treat and ended up sitting at a table for a solid chunk of time. Ordered the miso chocolate chip cookie, orange spice cake, oat milk latte and drip coffee. Coffee was bitter and hot, latte was sweet and tasted like cereal milk, miso cookie was really rich and the orange cake was incredible. I didn't expect to like it and that was the best bite I've had in a long time. The citrus was a great punch and the sweetness of the cake wasn't overwhelming- it was all balanced well. The cake was also gluten and dairy free.

Yelp
these cookies are to die for OK retract not to die for they are to eat and live on for the rest of your life. They are so good.

Yelp
A couple of friends put this place on my radar one was Elite Yelper Marie B. I came to the neighborhood to pick up something across the street at Marketime and decided to stop and check it out. Such a cute shop. Lot's of grab and go items no indoor seating bit there us a table out front. I ended up getting a Tuna Melt, small Brussel Booster Salad and a bag of Better Than Popcorn to take home for lunch and dinner. Definitely would love to try breakfast or something out of the pastry case next time everything looked so good. Service was friendly and quick. Will Make sure to visit when I'm in the area again.

Yelp
We stopped by yesterday and and we each had a breakfast sandwich and we were quite impressed. Their tasty baked egg square with cheese were served on a hearty english muffin. Fresh coffee served from a large insulated dispenser. All served by friendly staff in an upbeat and stylish setting.

Yelp
This was my first visit and second, spontaneous stop for Small Business Saturday (11/25/23). Baskette is located near N45th & Fremont, diagonal from Markettime Foods. I appreciated the welcoming feel, enticing layout, lots of natural light, and high quality selection. Baskette has been open for about a month. A quick walk through since my kitchen and pantry is well stocked entering the holiday season. This is a great stop for gift giving, ideas for potluck & party meetups, and later with warmer weather al fresco picnic ideas. Perfect for the nearby rose garden and Zoo Tunes concert dates. The deli case looked so enticing, but of course, I was focused on their pastry case. I bought a pair each of Nanaimo bars and madeleines to take home in time for the Apple Cup - Go Huskies! Worthy detour on upper Fremont!

Yelp
Ridiculously great food, wonderful atmosphere, the most clean and inviting space, and the NICEST employees. This place has a special place in my heart and it is so authentic!

Yelp
Even as we were walking up to the place, there was an amazing buttery smell all around the block. Everything we had for breakfast was delicious! We had the breakfast sandwich which had the perfect egg with cheese on a buttery milk bun. We opted to put their hot sauce (they make their own from scratch!) inside the sandwich, which was a great choice. Also tried the veg frittata that had great flavorful vegetables with their hot sauce too. Miso choc chip cookie and their breakfast cookie were really great too. I want to come back to try their lunch options - tuna melt and braised lamb sandwich!

Yelp
What a neighborhood gem! We stumbled into basked because the line at Backyard Bagel was too long. We were really glad we did! Great ingredients, great flavors and great service. The outside patio was nice so we could bring our dog and enjoy a nice breakfast sandwich. I definitely recommend their hot sauce, it's homemade and not too spicy. You can tell that they put a lot of thought into their ingredients and recipes. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Great neighborhood spot that does a wine tasting party once a month. Everything I have tasted has been yummy. My dog loves their homemade dog cookies.

Yelp
Lamb sandwich was incredibly good. As a middle eastern that grew up eating lamb I can say it was somehow the best lamb I've had in Seattle. Friendly service as well!

Lincoln W.

Yelp
Food was fantastic and the service was wonderful!! We were given a free cinnamon roll with our sandwich and everyone was so kind. Will definitely be coming back!

Caya L.

Yelp
Delicious and delightful. Friendly proprietor who served us very well. Bright, inviting space. We'll be back!

Yelp
OMG, the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had! The egg was unfathomably silky, and the portions of ham and cheese were just right. The english muffin toasted to perfection. I got mine with hot sauce, which wasn't too spicy and had the perfect tang. . . Highly recommended!

Yelp
Such a cute and tasty place! Really enjoyed talking with Kelly. The vibes and food are top notch, can't recommend enough.

Yelp
Amazing place! The menu is so unique and everything made by Chef Steph is out this world! But then to be able to pick up all these gourmet add ons for your picnic basket, like smoked oysters, truffle mushrooms , exotic cheese, and incredible local wines is just so brilliant. Not to mention the decor and great picnic blankets & basket you can buy to step up your picnic game. I am purposely planning picnics with friends in coming week just so I can come here and fill up my basket with incredible things. Great location, great selection, great friendly people, this is a winner! And incredibly delicious.

Yelp
Really friendly, adorable interior, best miso chocolate chip cookie ever! Had a sandwich/salad combo and both were delicious.

Yelp
Incredible food, tastefully done and an exceptional place to go! Great for ordering for events as well as stopping in for a bite!
