"Bassanova is a ramen place that people who love ramen should know about. It’s in a below-ground space that you could miss even if you walk by it every day. They serve a few different styles of ramen – including dipping ramen, brothless ramen, and pork-based tondaku ramen. But they’re best-known for their creamy green curry ramen, which you should be ordering in addition to a side of sizzling pork dumplings. photo credit: Bassanova" - Hannah Albertine

Staff: Super Friendly Wait: Not too long cuz I’m here by myself Food: I don’t consider myself a picky person. I got the Pork broth ramen, and it was alright. The thin noodles somehow has an ammonia scent. Weird. The pork rice is pretty good, but not for its price. Restaurant is pretty clean compared to other places in Chinatown.

Hard to spot walking down the block, kind of hidden. It's a nice spot and atmosphere. The food was great, I was happy to see an option for half size for the lemon pepper ramen. Just thought it should have had another piece of meat besides the one. But over all good. The dumplings were great, I was not expecting them to be long, still good either way. The staff there was friendly. Good experience.

When in Chinatown, I'd normally hit a local Cantonese spot but my kid asked for ramen. One of the few in Chinatown, reputable and Google review worthy. Their signature ramen is the lemon pepper, delicious. And the classic miso of course. If you're adventurous, try the raw octopus wasabi salad. I recommend the rice bowl and dumplings as well. CASH only!! No tipping necessary. Cool!

Very small hall at the basement on the Mott Street. Huge community table in the middle, open kitchen. Well, the first of all, service are very friendly. The second, place are offering to buy pictures on the walls, sort of open-gallery restaurant. The third of all, there is no tipping required. But after all, food is good but nothing exceptional. Just good portion of the solid ramen. The most popular - Ramen Curry. Partly on pork broth partly fish, spicy and hot. The second - pepper-lemon ramen - pork milky broth with pepper and lemon. Worth to visit if you nearby, but hardly doubt to travel here. And be aware, place is the cash only.

Sunday late afternoon we sat at the bar. Not crowded and service was great. We got the two “NYtimes rec” ramens: lemon pepper and green curry. Both were great. Also enjoyed both of the sakes (pair the dryer one with the lemon, sweeter with green curry). Not sure what the deal is with “no tipping”. We left a tip.

If you're lucky like us, stumble upon this place right as it opens - otherwise you're in for a long wait. I can see why though - this ramen was *amazing*. Thai-inspired flavours were zingy and we'll balanced - intense, but not overwhelming

Nice little restaurant. Great chill atmosphere. Keep in mind the last ramen I had was in college and cost 25 cents but I thought this ramen was awesome. PS. Cash only.

Great! Try spicy NYC Top-10 ramen , absolutely magic! Service is perfect, but ramen is around 15-17 dollars
