"An Evanston classic, Bat 17 has the best qualities of both a deli and a pub. Boasting tons of burgers, sliders, and other sandwiches, the restaurant is known for its massive portions. Bat 17 gives its offerings an extra oomph by emphasizing quality, using free-range meat when possible, and getting its bread from award-winning bakery Bennison’s." - Naomi Waxman, Samantha Nelson

"If you’re looking for a bar with good food that isn’t exclusively full of undergrads, go to Bangers and Lace - it doesn’t have the let’s-do-a-beer-bong atmosphere you might be familiar with from other spots on college campuses. There’s a location in Chicago, and the one in Evanston has the same menu of bar food and sausages (with options like duck sausage and a crawfish andouille). It’s decorated like a British pub/upscale hunting lodge, and it’s a good place to get drinks and/or talk about your thesis over some bratwurst." - adrian kane

"You’ve been out of school for too long to put up with bad college bar food. Luckily, that won’t be a concern at Bat 17, where the usual suspects (like burgers, sandwiches, and fries) are made with high-quality ingredients and taste really good. The space is full of TVs, pool tables, and foosball - basically enough activities that you can leave your kid there, and they won’t even notice that you’ve gone. Just like when you dropped them off at kindergarten." - adrian kane

Where To Eat When You’re Visiting A College Student In Chicago

"Food at college bars frequently tastes like it came from the freezer section at Costco. So we get excited when we find a spot that has great, fresh-tasting stuff, and that’s why we really like Bat 17 in Evanston. The menu has the usual suspects, like burgers, sandwiches, and fries, but they’re made with high-quality ingredients (like, in some cases, housemade bread). The space is full of TVs, pool tables, and foosball, and while it definitely feels like a college hangout, you’re welcome even if you’ve paid off all your loans (or have been deferring for a few years now)." - Adrian Kane

Good bar food and atmosphere. Extensive menu. Like the options as sides for sandwiches and burgers - something for everyone. A few dishes we ordered for a group of seven never made it to the table but what we had was very good.

In the area for a visit and random drop into Bat 17. While it was a little empty, it’s also break for the students at Northwestern. The wait staff was super friendly and made some great recommendations. She Antares it’s usually busy when more students are in session and on Friday nights. I can only imagine. The burger was huge. Cooked as ordered. Very nice. The pastrami was good as well. I think I should have ordered the burger. The potato skins with bacon were delicious. Give it a try!

Bat 17 has seriously upgraded with its new spot. The space is huge, modern, and way more comfortable than the old place. The staff? Spot on. They’re quick to get you what you need, no questions asked. I swapped the bun for an extra patty and an egg. My wife can’t get enough of that legendary K2 burger and the waffle fries. The beer and spirit selection is on point. Many local selections on draft and cans. You’ll keep coming back for the burgers, but it’ll be the fries that make you forget all about your diet.

We came on a slow weekday and the place was empty, but we have quick and friendly service from our waiter. The chicken fingers were ok, bit too processed can’t believe how little fries we got😥. I was a little surprised on the lack of beer selections.

My Partner and I eat here quite often due to the consistency and quality of the food. All the bread used is locally sourced from an amazing bakery and the produce and meats meet a high bar as well. Almost anything you get here will be of high quality. Some meals in particular I recommend is the California Dreaming (Scooby doo sized sandwich, the RS is big but the FS is HUGE), the portobello sandwich (which has a great marinade), their salads and any of their burgers. Oh yeah their sweet potatoes fries are to die for as well. Seriously, this food is delicious and is worth every dime. Go check it out if you’re looking for a good local Evanston deli / burger joint. Update 3/31/2035 Used to come here all the time when i lived in the area and adored this place. I came back while in the area to check out their new location and the renovations look amazing. It used to give college sport bar but now they really snazzed up the place, as the interior is gorgeous and it feels more like a sit down restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, they still have plenty of TVs and a bar if you want to watch games here. I got a classic, as I started with the pig skins. You can never go wrong with these - The skins of the potatoes are so crispy and they are loaded with toppings. The BBQ sauce and ranch that come with them compliment them well. The K2 burger was good - the meat was juicy but a small complaint is that there could’ve been more toppings to match the patty. The bacon was extra crispy and i’ll give them some points for that. The sweet potato fries are waffle style and are great. The staff was attentive and so friendly. After awhile they started i think open night mic or a singer was performing - not 100% sure. While in concept I love this - live music is wonderful for the community. In this instance, the mixing was pretty rough and the girls microphone was way too loud. We finished our food and we’re going to chill a bit but it got to the point where we decided to leave due to the issues. So while I hope they continue this, the sound really needs to be tested beforehand. (This was last month i dined in so this could’ve been fixed by now). I appreciate the update Bat17 has done and will continue coming back here for a reliable meal in the future.

5+5+5🌟 5 for ambiance 👍 5 for friendliness 👍 5 for value 👍 We were driving by and we saw this location. We decided to stop in for some lunch, it was an excellent choice to make. My wife had the Carnegie Reuben, I had The pretzel boy burger. Anyway, the burger was quite substantial. They said 10 oz but it seemed like more. The Gouda coleslaw was interesting, the fries were very crispy and not greasy. I definitely appreciated that. We just had soft drinks, we were driving and didn't want to have an issue if we were stopped. The bathrooms were spotless, and that's always an excellent sign. If the bathrooms are clean so is the kitchen is the rule of thumb. If the bathroom is dirty, leave and go somewhere else. The staff was very engaging, the food was delicious, the ambience was inviting, not overly bright, and plenty of screens to watch a game. I'm also putting this on my sports bar list 🏈⚾🏀 🏒and burger list.🍔

Google
Here’s the deal. They moved locations are these two changes are disappointing: 1. No jukebox anymore. It was a huge draw for us to have dinner and drinks and play music. 2. No more hand stuffed blue cheese olives for martinis. Hand stuffed blue cheese olives take a good drink and make it fabulous. We would eat at BAT 17 every Friday. But it just doesn’t have the same fun vibe. Disappointing.

We had a great birthday lunch at Bat 17. The sunny side up burger was awesome and I was able to get a gluten free bun as well. Very kid friendly. Staff was great. Kids loved it.

Yelp
Thank you for being there today at Taste of Roselle! I had their Korean Pork Belly Tacos and my husband got the buffalo chicken wings. For the price and flavor, both worth it!

Bob L.

Yelp
Look closed , were closed on a Tuesday afternoon. Out of business? I don't know Looks like a fine pub but they and business next to them closed down or just plain closed

Frank T.

Yelp
I think they might be closed. I went there tonight for dinner. The lights ere out and chairs all up on the tables. The hours on the door did they were open. No other signage. Too bad if they are out of business.

Katrina M.

Yelp
I would describe this as elevated bar food. While it may be a little higher in price, the portion sizes are huge which I find a good trade off! I got the Reuben egg rolls and they were done very well. I have had Reuben egg rolls at 3 places now and these take the top of the list. Also, their pretzels bites were fluffy and yummy

Dani G.

Yelp
I have tried several things in the menu and enjoy the food, but I take issue with the atmosphere. It's very dark. Servers do the minimum as far as customer service and checking in tables. I think they want a sports bar-type ambience but on the occasions I went, it was quiet and dark and mostly empty (even with sports on the TVs). I like the food so I'll probably just start doing take-out from there.

Alyssa N.

Yelp
Wonderful service, delicious food and great vibes visiting Chicago and was recommended here. Will come back when I visit :)

Gerry G.

Yelp
Giving this place some deserved love. Not sure what the problems are, but after waiting forever to try this place due to their historically high prices, it seems inflation ended up making this place a more reasonable value these days. Very enjoyable deli style sandwich, good service, great fresh fries. Will be back for sure.

Yelp
Restaurants rarely last very long, so the fact that I have a 2009 review here says a lot (I had a 2010 review, but it was beyond simple tweaking and instead relied way too heavily on of-the-moment internet cliches...shudder). I went here before a movie with my friend. As NU alumnae, we knew many restaurants had come into the dining-centered Evanston, but this was near the theatre and we knew it was good. Off we went! The service was a bit slow despite a mostly empty crowd early on a Sunday night, but our waiter was very polite and seemed like a nice guy. My friend enjoyed her teriyaki chicken sandwich. Her side salad was full of (feta?) cheese, which I don't think they mention on the menu, so she avoided it. It would be good if they clarified this. I had my go-to, the Sedona shrimp salad without bacon. Wow! It is just as good as I remember it. The smoky dressing is tasty, and so are the sauteed onions and peppers. The shrimp is perfectly cooked too. I highly recommend it! The menu might be sandwich dominant, but they clearly prioritize their salads and make sure they're full of interesting ingredients and well made.

Yelp
I have been to Bat 17 numerous times over the years, and I always really enjoy it. They have solid vegetarian options, and the rest of their food is equally good. Their outside seating section is a big hit in the warm weather, but the indoors is just as nice. The servers in my experience have always been kind and helpful which is much appreciated! I feel like it is hard to find a good sandwhich or burger nowadays, but Bat 17 does the basics very well.

Yelp
Ended up here through a series of mishaps. Had a reservation at a beautiful restaurant for our anniversary (couple, 3 adult children). Though I'd checked the online menu it turned out there was nothing other than apps we could eat there (lacking pescatarian/vegetarian options). We can't eat shellfish which there was plenty of. Thinking on my feet where we could eat in Evanston, I came up with Bat 17 as I knew that all 5 of us could find something that we liked there, also it was in walking distance- would not require us to pile back into the car. It was quite a departure from our original nice restaurant, Bat 17 is a sports bar.. full stop. When we got there, it was empty. Not a good sign on a Sunday night with loads of sports on tv. (Remember, it's a sports bar). As it had been so many years since I'd been there I had forgotten just how divey it is. I was gobsmacked but we tried to carry on. My husband, maybe the pickiest eater of the bunch, finally settled on a tuna burger (I think) which he ate (I think sans a side), 1 kid who likes Caesar salad ordered that which is typical of him. Though each ate them I suspect they were just ok, edible. Another kid ordered an asparagus salad which she could barely eat; I didn't ask her what was not good about it. Here follows why the one star: my son and I (the biggest and least picky eaters) ordered one of their specialty burgers, I requested mine with a veggie patty. They were out of the kind of bun specific to this particular burger so my son had to change his order, NBD. When my burger came, for some reason I felt compelled to ask the server (I've never felt the need to confirm this elsewhere) if she was 100% certain it was a veggie patty, though she assured me it was, it was 100% NOT! The Tator tots were of the frozen kind you buy at the grocery and heat in your oven, the fries weren't particularly delicious either, nor was the liquidy horse radish sauce that came with my burger. Also the waitress was, aside from the veggie patty fiasco, a little goofy.

Cynthia E.

Yelp
The burgers are fine, but we really like their deli sandwiches and my favorite is the bleu cheese slaw- addictive! Too many TVs for my taste, but I'll keep going for the food.

Gretchen K.

Yelp
Our waitress Alexit was excellent. Friendly, helpful, checked our table several times without being obtrusive. I had the spicy shrimp salad- delicious!

Tim A.

Yelp
Decided to try B-17 before a Wildcat football game after seeing a review on Campus Eats. One of the best burgers I've ever had... anywhere! My burger had that unmistakable grilled flavor and smell. It was juicy and thick and perfectly cooked! My buddy told me, " You gotta try this barbecue sauce!" But I didn't want to ruin the flavor of the meat so I said "No." I also tried the classic slider with pickles and onions. This slider has nothing in common with White Castle, especially the meat which is good, but not as good as their regular burger. You can't go wrong with fries or tater tots--both excellent, but if I had to choose one I would definitely go with the tots : ) Please try Bat17 and have a burger. You won't regret it: )

Andrew D.

Yelp
Bat 17 is likely a 3.5/5 but is a solid spot for brunch and sandwiches. Burgers are not always cooked 100% perfectly but the fries are all great. Good spot to get a drink and watch some games.

Efraim S.

Yelp
Surprisingly good food. Their vegan section is hilariously just vegetarian. The fish sando was rather great with two huge pieces of fish

Team J.

Yelp
Visiting Bat 17 was nothing short of meeting all my expectations. A bustling sports bar and restaurant located in the heart of Evanston, Illinois. The atmosphere was friendly and fun, making it the ideal spot to catch a game or simply unwind after a long day. The establishment was spotless, and a good number of TVs scattered throughout the space ensuring everyone has a prime viewing angle for any sports game. The menu at Bat 17 is extensive, with the PT-40 turkey sandwich being excellent in my opinion. Piled high with tender, juicy slices of turkey, the sandwich is a delicious and satisfying choice for any meal. But what truly set the experience apart was their signature "Pig Skins" - the most perfect potato skins I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. Crispy on the outside and loaded with a mouthwatering blend of cheese, bacon/bbq pulled pork, and sour cream, these Pig Skins are a must-try for any visitor. The service at Bat 17 was impeccable. Attentive and courteous, the staff went above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience. Each team member was knowledgeable about the menu and eager to offer recommendations tailored to individual preferences. The central location of Bat 17 only added to its appeal, making it a convenient and accessible option for both locals and visitors alike. John the bartender was the most memorable with being the friendliest, very warm & welcoming. Told me beforehand, if I needed to alter the order with adding or taking something off there was zero issues and no trouble. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or settling in to watch the big game, Bat 17 is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Yelp
Under staffed. Came in for lunch on a Wednesday, only saw two employees in the entire place and one guy seemed to be handling all the dine in traffic. We were told to sit, but never got served. I attempted to get the one guys attention a few times but he just had too much going on. We ended up leaving for another place down the street...

Jacie M.

Yelp
I have not tried the food here yet, but I'll stop in occasionally for a quick happy hour drink. I wish they had a few more cocktails to choose from, but otherwise the beers are cold and service is good.

Jill H.

Yelp
First visit - excellent. Came over move in week @ NU but still managed to snag an outdoor spot for an early dinner. Interestingly, the menu stated how the owners of Bat17 were inspired by Zingerman's in Ann Arbor, Michigan which also holds a special place for us. We were intrigued... the portions were extremely generous. So was their willingness to split a sandwich between two diners and allow us both a full side for a teensy charge. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Bat 17 and plan to return on future visits to Evanston.

Quinn F.

Yelp
Great carry out experience that you won't find anywhere else in the area. The staff were very helpful, kind and friendly. Thank you bat 17 for a great pick up experience.

Jim D.

Yelp
Slow service and okay food. College bar atmosphere. Salads seem to be the best items on the menu.

Amanda L.

Yelp
I was in the mood for a low-key place with great food so Bat 17 seemed worth a try on a rainy Sunday afternoon. It's really big so even with quite a few people watching football, it was easy to get a nice cozy booth while drying off from the rain. They have a HUGE menu and there were MANY appealing sounding things but I ended up with the Tyler Durden which is essentially a spicy cheesesteak on sourdough bread. The bread, which is from the nearby Bennison's, made this a slam dunk. I highly recommend a side of their cheese sauce for dipping your fries-- it has a sweet, BBQ flavor. Also, it was enormous so I ate half of it and brought the rest home to eat later. It was just as good, a sign of a great sandwich! Our server was exactly what you want at a place like this- friendly and not overbearing. Bat 17 was absolutely what I wanted-- low-key and delicious. I will be back for sure.

Yelp
Terrible experience ordering food for delivery. After placing order, estimated delivery time via DoorDash (restaurant's delivery partner) was 45 minutes Through the tracker, we saw that the driver was waiting for the order at the restaurant, but then we kept getting updates that the delivery time was delayed. Ending up calling the restaurant after an hour and was told the order miraculously just came out, but 30 minutes later the order was canceled. The explanation when we called the restaurant again was suspect (put the blame on DoorDash and said we'd need to follow up with them to confirm a refund), so order delivery with caution. Taking our business elsewhere.

Jill H.

Yelp
Great spot for a filling lunch with friends, family or coworkers. Selection to appease a range of appetites - salads, burgers, and a Michigan hometown fave Zingermanns-inspired sandwiches. Orange chicken salad was yummy, chicken wasn't over-fried. Burger was huuuuge. The pastrami sandwich was noted as "the best he might have ever had" We didn't consume any alcohol but there were a decent selection of beers and beverages to choose from.

Raul Z.

Yelp
It was ok different but ok had there sliders and wings it was ok wings could have been crispier my choice the sliders were so so they assume everyone likes blue cheese I and my guest weren't given a choice had to ask nonetheless service was ok we will give it another try !

Lenore G.

Yelp
Bat 17 has an unusual atmosphere, which gives you lots of things to distract you while you wait for your order to arrive ;-) The restaurant is hidden away on a side-street that runs parallel to the metro line. When my friend and I visited here recently, I tried their Ruben sandwich; it was not only delicious, but perhaps the largest sandwich of that type I've had in recent memory! For dessert, my friend and I shared an piece of their amazing banana cream pie; the pie had a chocolate chip cookie dough crust, and is guaranteed to make anyone happy about breaking their diet ;-) Over and above their excellent food, Bat 17 has a really large selection of beers, including home brews, as well as foreign and domestic bottles.

Susan M.

Yelp
Call the restaurant if you have an order for more than 4 people. I ordered thru grub hub the day before delivery then found out the day I ordered for delivery that the restaurant cannot accommodate my order. The reason was lame that there was a private catered party and could not take an additional orders. I had to scramble shop cook and clean on a day I had off of work. I'm pretty sure the restaurant could have blocked any additional orders from food delivery companies or noted the restaurant was closed for that Sunday afternoon. We had ordered for years but grub hub and bat 17 will never get my business again.

Adam H.

Yelp
Really enjoyed catching up with a friend who is in graduate school at Northwestern while at Bat 17. ‍ It was quiet and relaxing on an overcast Friday afternoon and felt like the perfect college bar for the occasion. Decked out in Wildcats purple, it seems like a fun space to visit on a gameday and I'm sure I will go back at some point. I left very satisfied after their Evanston "award-winning" burger and two Tecate tall boys on happy hours. Spent $25 even with tax and tip which seemed reasonable for the Chicago area. There's no Au Cheval in Evanston which means the "K-2 Bat 17 Burger" is not playing in the big leagues, but it was a very solid burger, nonetheless.

Emily H.

Yelp
The menu is huge. I was a little put off by the long letter they write in the menu to the customer. It's explaining why their prices are high. But it convinces you before you even start reading the menu that I their prices are higher than they should be. The sandwiches basically come in large and extra large. Personally, I wish there was a small option too. I definitely got 2 meals out of the the 'regular size' sandwich. The night we were there the credit card machine wasn't working. While I understand it wasn't the bartender's fault I wish she had told us about the issue before she dropped the check.

Phaedra W.

Yelp
We took our son to an event on the Skokie/Evanston border that ran until 8pm. Finding a place that stays open later in the Skokie/Evanston area can be a challenge, so we consulted Yelp and came up with Bath 17 that seemed to have some solid reviews. We walked into the building an noticed there are two sides. One side was large and cavernous - I think it's supposed to be like a sports bar. There were some pool tables and lots of high tops tables. There were a few college students in the mostly empty space. We chose door number two on the left because it was a more cozy space that actually had customers enjoying dinner - we thought we might get better service on that side. We were not noticed for almost 15 minutes. One server, that was very sweet when we finally made eye contact, was serving everyone. She finally did notice us and apologized profusely. She took our drink order. They serve Pepsi products and had a good assortment of craft draft beers. They also have some drink specials by day - Thursday was $3.50 cent well drinks - like rum & coke. We noticed right away that the prices are a bit expensive. Most sandwiches and burgers were around the $15 range. The sides cost an additional fifty cents to a dollar more. The menu has an explanation about their prices - you are paying for quality and quantity. I would agree that the food tasted good and that the servings were large. Our teen devoured a huge burger and my husband and I each took half of our sandwiches home. I loved the pulled pork sandwich I ordered. My husband felt like he could make the pastrami sandwich better and for less at home. We both loved the crunchy sweet potato waffle fries. I thought the coleslaw side was amazing on my sandwich. Before tip our bill totaled $75 for three burgers/sandwiches, one soda and two draft beers. Not inexpensive, but about what you pay at most establishments in Evanston.

Rachel C.

Yelp
One of my go to spots for food and lunch. Man do they knock it out of the park! My kids love it

Jim D.

Yelp
The claims of humongous portions are absolute however my Turkey burger was extremely bland. According to my waitress they throughly cook the Turkey but after about a half hour wait for a Turkey burger I was already perturbed to say the least. At just under $20 for a tasteless burger I doubt I'd ever return but I guess if you're looking for typical bar food while watching various sports events this place will suffice but as a hard to please novice food critic I'd urge people to pass

Ethan Y.

Yelp
This restaurant is influenced by Zimmermans in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The selection of burgers alone are insane. They also have daily specials deals of the week such as happy hour etc. I've tried their Nacho Burger, Black and Bleu burger, BBQ burger, and Sunny side up burger. Their sweet potato waffle fries are also really good. Their menu is enormous. They also accept student discounts.

Edgar B.

Yelp
First time coming here to pick up food that we had mobile ordered. The place was empty except for two couples dining in. Wasn't greeted, by anyone for about 6 minutes. So I started watching the football game. Eventually someone came up and asked if I wanted anything. I told them I was picking up an order so they pointed me to the pick up area. The guy at the pickup didn't say a word and just looked at me. So I said pick up and got my food. Reminder to check your order before you leave. I should have because I was missing half my order. When I came back to tell them they didn't apologize just took my bag and opened it up and told me it would be another 5 minutes. The service here sucks! Food is ok.

Peter M.

Yelp
Stopped in for drinks after Cubs opening day. Definitely a college bar. It's conveniently located to the El station and walking distance from hotels. I'll check it out again when I'm back in Evanston

Carrie E.

Yelp
Solid food...good service...huge portions! Ambiance was okay, very college town bar vibes!

Steven K.

Yelp
The bartender was more interested in his phone than any of the customers. I waited 5 minutes before. I said something just to see if he would turn around but he didn't. Seven dollars for a draft doesn't seem worth it to me.

Monica D.

Yelp
~Monica's T.A.S.T.E. Test~ Taste: Sweet potato fries are always a hit. They are cut into waffle fries and cooked until crispy. Today they came out cold which was a little disappointing, making me cut a half star from the overall experience. Atmosphere: We tried the sport bar section of Bat17 which is the door to the right when first walking through the entrance. The space is huge and full of high top tables and tvs. It has a pool table and air hockey table which make it a fun and inviting space, as well as a fully stocked bar and the same menu as the original next door. Where they lose a star here is the NBA finals were playing on the screen but heavy metal on the overhead speakers. When we asked if they could play the sound for the game, they said it would not be possible as the sound system is broken. Not the experience we had imagined when trying to watch game 3. Service: We sat at the table after being seated for 15 minutes before we asked a server to wait on the table. It took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. Definitely slow service considering the restaurant was only half full. But not sure we can blame the wait staff since there was only 1 server (who was running around and working hard) for all the tables so management must have understaffed. Minus half a star here. Tab: Average prices for Evanston. Nothing unreasonable for the portion they give you. Extra wow factor: The menu has a TON of options, both meat heavy and vegetarian friendly. Does it pass the T.A.S.T.E test? It's a wash. If I'm not motivated to walk far and just want to munch on fries this is a good option. But I probably wont go out of my way to come back especially during game time.

Nathan D.

Yelp
Sports Dinner | Filling | Home Style | Convenient Sports Diner: Lots of TV's and beers on tap, with a menu that serves breakfast all day long. Everything you would expect from a diner with a sports theme. Filling: Portions are large and prices are fair for Evanston. Great for brunch or sharing. Home style: the biscuits are soft and buttery, the French toast brimming with cherry pie filling, flavors you would expect to find on your table via grandmothers recipes. So tasty! Convenient: right across the street from the Davis Metra/CTA stops and walking distance from Northwestern U. Very easy to find and large enough for big parties during game time. Pro tip: Northwestern ID 10% discount Pro tip: Saturday/Sunday has a few additional items on their brunch menu that are DELICIOUS (see chicken biscuits)

Fred M.

Yelp
I can't recommend this place. We were here Saturday (February 9, 2019). We started with an order of Bruschetta. They should really call it a Caprese Salad, because that is basically what it is. Each serving had one thick slice of tomato. The tomato was hard, crunchy, and flavorless. I know tomatoes are out of season, and finding good, ripe tomatoes is difficult. Maybe this should be a seasonal item. During our visit, we were constantly pestered by tiny little fruit flies. Its February and the temperature outside was in the 20's, so you know they didn't fly in any-time recently. There is no way they would have survived last week's polar vortex. They must be living there. It was unacceptable. Originally, we were planning on ordering more, but at this point we decided to cut our losses. We settled-up and found a different restaurant. On a positive note, the workers were all very friendly, and hard-working.

Keith K.

Yelp
Saw the long list of sliders and asked our server Cassie for details. The most important "detail" she provided was that they are big! And that is an accurate assessment! My wife and I split an order...four, mind you...of chicken and biscuit sliders. Crispy chicken and bacon, flakey biscuits warm melted cheese and Vermont maple syrup! Very tasty and I would add that the limited functionality of a biscuit as a bun (lots of crumbs on our plates) was way outweighed by the texture and flavor. The maple syrup comes on the side allowing you to experiment with the best way (we tried several) of incorporating it into the sliders...a must. Also enjoyed an order of the onion straws...very crispy with mild onion flavor...great side for our sliders! Thanks, Cassie!

Yelp
Easy to see why this is one of our son's favorite places! NU themed decor a few blocks from campus. Yummy sliders, appetizers, salads and everything in between. We've been twice with larger groups and they've always been accommodating.

Yelp
I LOVE that they offer gluten free bread (and different types for the matter too!) Cali sandwich is good and so is their egg salad sandwich (sorry forgot the names). Only downside is that almost all fo their sandwich come with cheese (as a main ingredient) which my stomach cant handle. They have a HUGE menu and HUGE portions just which that have more flavorful sandwiches without cheese. (More veggies or something).

Yelp
Turkey Reuben was ice cold. Bacon tasted freezer burned. Used to love this place but the food sucked. Nice server though.

Yelp
I bought food for a business lunch for eight. It was ready on time, and each lunch was labeled with names as I requested. They even helped me carry it out to my car. Food was delicious.

Yelp
Great ambiance, very proud northwestern sports place with great tvs and pool tables. Food was good, but the menu is a little overwhelming. Good drink options as well. Does get crowded.

Yelp
Went on Friday for lunch and service was way off. The excuse "We're busy" to explain away a 45-minute wait for food makes no sense. If you run a restaurant and are unaware that Friday lunch will be busy, you need to re-think your profession. It's called lunch rush for a reason, and you need to staff up so you can serve customers with an hour break. I spent many years as an owner of Loop restaurant/taverns, so I know what I'm talking about. I didn't expect immediate service, but 45 minutes to get some sliders and a corned beef sandwich is ridiculous. When the food did finally arrive it was cold - which means it sat there for quite awhile before anyone thought to serve it. The food - taken home and re-heated because there was no time left to eat it there - was good, but no garnish other than pickles for $15 items? A few chips would kill you? Too many minuses to want me to return

Yelp
The sweet potato fries were AMAZING! Everything else was subpar. I had the bison burger and my friend had the boring burger. There were maybe 4 tables there, and we waited so long for our food. Our server was very nice though. Then, I am gluten-free, and the gluten-free bun left a lot to be desired. The space is very cool, though, and the drinks are affordable.

Yelp
I was very excited to come here a friend of mine recommended it. Had amazing food the bbq burger was big and juicy and flavorful but can't recommend sitting at the bar the bartender Leo was lazy not attentive he stood and spoke to the same people. You need better bartenders that enjoy talking and are attentive towards every customer.
