"Location-wise, it’s a wonderful balance of being on the riverside and being close to central London; it’s very family orientated with a picnic area as well as bike riding around the outside – it’s the ultimate park for a day out." - Andrew Young

"Battersea Park is one of the great green spaces in the city, where one can find great little coffee shops." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team
"If you're looking for a breath of fresh air walking among the foliage and flower beds, or a fun day out with the kids, sat right upon the south bank of the River Thames, Battersea Park is the place to go. Loved by dog walkers, picnic goers, sport fanatics and animal lovers – this is one of our favourite green spaces in the city. Battersea Park is home to meerkats and monkeys in the Children’s Zoo, visual arts space Pump House Gallery, tree top adventure activity site ‘Go Ape!’ and mini golf putting course ‘Putt in the Park’. There’s a bandstand, peace pagoda, fountain and a lake, and for sporty types: a cricket pitch, outdoor gym, tennis courts and athletics track. If that isn’t enough to inspire a visit, there are lots of other activities held here each year – it's host to Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and the annual bonfire night with mini fair and food huts. "Pick-Up Food Options: Party Store Pizza, Kapihan. Battersea Park is in our professional opinion: an absolute stunnah. It’s got the top three things you would want in a park, plenty of greenery (duh), views of the river, and some pretty great food options around. We love the benches near the fountains in the middle of the park, but another nice spot is near the Peace Pagoda. Our go-to is ordering Detroit-style pizza from Party Store Pizza, or offee and cassava cakes from Kapihan, a Filipino café and bakery down the road." - rianne shlebak
"Battersea Park is another nice option for unwinding away from the very center of the city — great for a picnic or a book." - Matthew Kepnes
