Authentic Italian food never disappoints and I am glad we chose this restaurant. While the place is not that big, the vibe is so relaxing. The staff were super nice and immediately got us situated at our table. Our server, Hayley, made great recommendations and was very mindful of our dietary restrictions. It’s an open kitchen so you get to witness how the staff makes the delicious food. Their garlic bread and pizza were so fresh, soft yet crusty. 10/10 for the atmosphere, food and service. A must visit for locals and tourists.

We went Saturday with a reservation and they accommodated us early! Very nice small place but the food was amazing. I couldn't even take pictures of the pasta because we were so hungry and then order took a while to come out lol the appetizer is what's pictured here and they were all the bomb. Order those wings!! Pasta is not my favorite but I've got to try some of my friends and it really did Tate good, especially the vodka sauce. We will definitely be back!

Google
Staff is gracious and attentive. You can choose the dog friendly outdoor seating or a cozy spot inside where you can watch the pizzas being prepped and cooked in their gorgeous wood fired oven. Everything on the menu is tempting but I tried the Wild Funghi Pizza. The crust was rustic with slightly salty and the toppings were earthy and fresh - with big beautiful roasted garlic cloves! Prices are absolutely reasonable. Thank you for a lovely dining experience!

Google
Good pizza! Great atmosphere for a cute small place. Pizzas are nice and small sizes individual which were really delicious! Unfortunately our server Kailey wasn’t the best. Why?! Zero smile, zero confidence, zero recommendations, zero welcoming. I had to let her speak to us and had her talk. I wasn’t sure about the drink and said “I don’t know” and she just left the table without even offering me alternatives. When I ordered the dessert, she couldn’t understand me when I said Cannoli and it was kinda rude hearing “I’m not familiar with that dessert”. I’m Italian, born and raised. it was kinda sad and also I felt offended to see a server working in an Italian restaurant not caring about the pronunciation of the actual dish and I had to repeat myself three times. Lots to learn for sure.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Bavaro's! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server, Yasmin, truly went above and beyond to make our night special. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. We were celebrating my friend’s birthday, and Yasmin surprised us with a Nutella pizza as a special treat—it was such a thoughtful touch and absolutely delicious! The food was outstanding, from the appetizers to the main courses, and the service made it even better. If you're looking for an authentic Italian dining experience with top-notch service, this is the place to go. Huge thanks to Yasmin for making our night unforgettable!

Google
Our overall experience was good. The service was excellent, and pizza 🍕 was good. My tomato basil soup was over salted, and there were no way to get new one because it was premade. The chicken Parmesan from a specials was ok, not impressed.

Google
It’s a small welcoming atmosphere, our server was super friendly explaining any questions I had about the pasta. The food is authentic Italian, I got a delicious ravioli Al Formaggio & my boyfriend’s pasta was undercooked but the flavor was good overall. The pizza was also very delicious!

Google
We had a date night and decided to give Babaro’s a try. Very happy that we did. It’s small but not cramped. It was cozy and the atmosphere was very nice and fit well for a wood fired pizza place. The food was very good. We had the garlic bread with cheese and the Americano pizza with extra pepperoni. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We showed up 45 minutes early for our reservation and just asked if it was possible to get seated early. They had spots open so we were seated in 5 minutes. A great spot for a date night or a fun dinner with friends.

Yelp
The penne alla vodka was amazing. Thank you tweet! Will definitely be back. Great service.

Yelp
We ordered 2 pizzas from DoorDash, which was made and delivered fairly quickly (about an hour). Margherita pizza ($18): I thought this was fairly good! The pizza was a little cold from delivery so the mozzarella hardened a little. The crust was nice and chewy! It wasn't outstanding or anything super special, but it was good. I would probably pick another specialty pizza over this one. 3.5/5 Whipped Limoncello Pizza: I thought this pizza was outstanding! The flavors really worked. It was unique, sweet, and savory. Crust was nice and chewy. I would get this over and over again! 5/5 Overall, I'm rating this a 4.5/5. I will definitely be ordering from here again and trying other pizzas. Their pastas also seem very tempting. Definitely a solid spot

Yelp
Found this cute little spot with live music. Upon entrance we were greeted and seated immediately. The service did start off somewhat slow, took a while to get serviced. Our waiter apologized for the wait and we could physically see he was held up by another table. Any drink on the menu can be made into a mocktail, which I appreciated as someone who doesn't drink... I don't remember the name of my drink but it was raspberry , club soda and lemon. It was good. I had the pizza, the portions are pretty big from What I was seeing in other people's plates. The pizza was good, tasted fresh and not too soft but not too crunchy. I give it a 8/10 The pasta was OK for me, the noodles were a little too al dente for me. Otherwise it did have great flavor! I'd visit again!

Yelp
Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. Place was busy and we made sure to make a reservation. Seating is cramped inside but it's a very nice rustic vibe. Service was fast and very friendly. We ordered one pizza and one pasta. Both dishes were well-made and tasted good. Neither one was outstanding in terms of Italian food in the Tampa area. At the same time we did not have any complaints. Would recommend if you're in downtown Tampa looking for a good Italian meal.

Yelp
Had the ravioli Formaggio by Tweetie and was served by Jennifer and it was amazing!! The best yummiest vodka sauce!!
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Had a very nice family dinner here tonight. We had the penne vodka, ravioli, americano (pepperoni) pizza, Margherita pizza and tagliatelle limone. Everything came out hot and tasty. Standouts were the vodka sauce and pepperoni on the pizza. For dessert we split the tiramisu and a cannoli trio. Possibly the best cannolis we've ever had. Crispy fresh shell and nicely sweet ricotta filling. The service and atmosphere were very good too. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
My family and I enjoyed our dinner at Bavaro's. They offer outdoor and indoor seating. It is an intimate setting and not very large inside. The staff were helpful when making decisions on what we should have. The menu offered some great Italian options. We started with the GARLIC BREAD, which was a wood-fired dough, garlic, evoo, oregano, parmigiana reggiano. It was pretty tasty! It wasn't your average garlic bread. The meals we had at the table included: - RIGATONI AL FUNGHI: rigatoni, chicken, baby bella, portobello, and oyster mushrooms, sundried tomato, crema, truffle oil, fried basil - TAGLIATELLE AL LIMONE: Fresh tagliatelle, choice of seared shrimp or chicken, wood-fired broccolini, lemon-crema sauce, prosciutto crumble, parmigiano reggiano, lemon zest - Kids Pepperoni pizza All of the food was filled with a burst of delicious flavors. The portions were large, and we all got to take some home to enjoy the next day. I'd love to go back to try more dishes.

Yelp
I visited Bavaro's pizza on a Friday night with a party of three. We did not have a reservation and we were very lucky to find seats at the bar. It definitely would have been better to have a reservation as they have these great table outside. The ordering of drinks and food and receiving of food was so fast for how busy this place was. I definitely thought it would take longer as they had to put my pizza in the brick oven. Everything was delicious! Can't wait to return with a reservation. My husband drinks beer and they only have peroni on tap.

Yelp
I've been to Bavaro's in Downtown Tampa twice, and both visits were good. The service was great, and the food was delicious. I had the Ricotta Meatballs (my favorite) and the Quattro Formaggi Pizza. Both were excellent and I do recommend. When I checked in on Yelp, I got a complimentary glass of wine, which was a nice surprise. Thanks Bavaro's! They have indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor space is cozy and has a small, intimate feel.

Yelp
Of the 3 Neapolitan pizzerias we tried in the Tampa area during our brief stay, Bavaro's was definitely the best of the bunch. It's a small and insanely busy location, but the staff managed to be friendly and the ship seemed to run very smoothly. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy insides, with plenty of outdoor seating on the sidewalk area. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you don't want to be waiting for a while. We made a reservation, but we still had to wait until closer to our reservation time to get our table, so expect the potential of a wait if arriving early. As far as the food goes, the pizza is really good. Wood-fired, and you can tell the dough has spent some decent time fermenting and developing flavor. Definitely the most flavorful dough we had while in Tampa. It's a really nice representation of classical Neapolitan dough. Soft, crunchy, charred. The toppings were good, too. Sure, the margherita is predictable, but I was really impressed with the flavors of their seasonal "butternut pizza," with shaved butternut squash, caramelized onion, romano, stracciatella, hot fennel sausage, fried sage, and Reggiano. Their fennel sausage is great. I felt like the amount of toppings was a little excessive, but the flavors were just so good. I'd have gone back for this again if I had another night in town. We finished the meal with some cannoli with pistachio, and they were simply excellent. Overall, Bavaro's hit the spot. Excellent service and wonderful food served in a nice, casual atmosphere. If you're craving Neapolitan pizza, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Bavaro's location; their pizzaioli certainly know what their doing!

Yelp
Amazing authentic style pizza and pasta! The garlic bread is awesome! Highly recommend this restaurant. Julia was an amazing and attentive server, and Charlie was a very gracious hostess. Will be back for sure!

Yelp
We visited Bavaro's Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria on a recent Friday night. The restaurant offers a handful of outdoor tables and a cozy indoor seating area. We opted to sit inside, but next time, I might reserve an outdoor table. The indoor space is packed tightly, and it can get quite loud. Our server, AJ, was prompt and attentive, quickly taking our drink orders. The entrees arrived swiftly. We started with the ricotta meatballs, which were good but not exceptional. I had the Tagliatelle al Limone--a shrimp and noodle dish in a lemon sauce--which was decent, though unremarkable. Bavaro's specializes in Neapolitan-style pizza (crispy, puffed crust and tender, soft middle) cooked at high temperatures for about 90 seconds. This style is traditionally eaten with a fork and knife, and I wasn't in a fork and knife mood. Pricing is a bit high for the entrees - we spent just over $40 per person, but reasonable for a tourist area in downtown Tampa. Reservations can be made online, and I would recommend specifying an outdoor table next time, weather permitting, as the outdoor area along the sidewalk has no covering from rain or separation from pedestrians. Overall, it was a fine experience. To truly enjoy the dining experience, I'd suggest going at an off-peak time, such as a weeknight or non-holiday period.

Yelp
We had a 6:30 reservation and arrived to the restaurant a few minutes before that time. Our table was not ready so we had to wait for about ten minutes until the party before us finished, despite there being a few other empty tables. Once we were finally seated, everything went well. The menu has several appetizers, about six pizzas, and about 6 pasta entrees. I had the meatballs for an appetizer and they were delicious. It was three large meatballs with plenty of sauce and ricotta cheese. For my entree I had the Italian chopped salad. It was a big size salad with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olives, pepperoni, cheese, and chicken. My husband had the tagliatelle pasta dish. It also had shrimp and broccolini in the dish. He really liked it.

Yelp
Best pizza in Tampa. They cook the pizza in a brick oven, and it is the closest thing to the pizza in southern Italy. The restaurant is small and intimate, and is perfect for date night. Service is always good.

Yelp
I've walked by this place 100 times and finally stopped in for an early dinner before an event downtown. The restaurant is small, but the staff hustles to get food out quickly and make tables available. We had no wait for a party of 2. We had the penne all vodka and the burrata wood fired pizza. The penne was solid, but nothing spectacular. The pizza was delicious. Just the right amount of char, chewy crust, creamy burrata, and generous heap of arugula. Definitely enough to share.

Yelp
100000/10 highly recommend Bavaro's!!! Pasta was phenomenal, pizza was phenomenal, staff and service were amazing!! The ambiance of the restaurant was delightful, reminded me of being in Italy, I loved it! Only negative is they forgot my anchovies on my Caesar salad but everything else was more than amazing so it makes up for it!

Yelp
Location in downtown Tampa is open for lunch and dinner. Adult and kids menu with hot pizza and lighter fare available - dine in or take out. Recommend the hot, brick oven garlic bread with cheese as an appetizer or meal with soup and salad. Easy walk for downtown and atmosphere perfect for a light lunch and for taking clients. A Reservation is encouraged on nights with events in downtown or at arena. Service is excellent and fast. Ingredients are absolutely fresh with sauces and dough made in house and sauces available for purchase. Sangria and wines for perfect pairing.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped in after seeing a show at the Straz. I ordered their Pinot Noir - fantastic. The garlic bread appetizer is their wood fire pizza dough with Oil and garlic. The first bite made me regret not ordering pizza. Might be the best crust I've ever tasted. Daughter ordered the ravioli. It comes in a Vodka sauce . I tried one and it was a 10/10. I had the Pasta de Funghi. I really enjoyed it but was still wishing I had ordered the pizza. 8/10. We shared Tiramisu for dessert. It was very good. It was a great experience overall. Be sure to put a reservation in to avoid an hour wait.

Yelp
Stopped by for an afagato, vanilla gelato with espresso, before a movie and Tampa theater. The hostess outside was extremely friendly and accommodating, she told us if we just wanted dessert we could have a table but she needed it in 20mins for a reservation, we promised if rhe dessert came out quick we would be done. So nice to be able to be accommodating when you can and to have some delicious dessert. Thanks!

Yelp
This is conventionally located in Downtown Tampa. Gave them a try after church at took advantage of the free street parking until 2pm. Caesar salad, meatballs and the mushroom pizza were more than enough to share. The waitress was friendly and it was enjoyable to sit outside in the prime Tampa fall weather. The mushroom pizza has multiple whole garlic cloves and the crust is thin. I picked the garlic cloves off and the pizza was decent. The food wasn't my favorite but I will say I'm Italian and have pretty high standards for this type of cuisine. Maybe I should have tried their homemade pasta, instead. I'm still glad I was able to give them a try.

Yelp
My partner and I went to Bavaros over the weekend for the first time. The ambiance is Casual night out for upscale Italian. We shared a yummy rigatoni mushroom and sundried tomato pasta dish and a Caesar salad. The portions were great, the price was fair and we would definately come back. The location was convenient for everything DTSP has to offer too!
google avatar

Gunnar J.

Yelp
It was an absolutely wonderful experience!! Our waitress Kendall was amazing and very knowledgeable and extremely attentive to our needs. The food was literally the best Italian cuisine outside of Italy. I was speaking fluid Italian by the end of the meal! Simply marvelous time.
google avatar

Yelp
First time at this location, which feels vastly different than St Pete. Our server was super friendly and quickly brought our drinks. There are tables in and outside. We shared a meatball appetizer and we each ordered an Americano pizza, because we thought they were smaller than they are. The 3 meatballs are a nice size and had a decent flavor. My pizza arrived nice and hot, but there is more end crust than is needed. Having more sauce and cheese up to the end would have been way better. A lot of the crust was actually burnt, which adds a different flavor to the pizza. Service remained perfect the entire time.
google avatar

Maddie M.

Yelp
So many good options on the menu to choose from, I'm excited for round two. I went with the limoncello pizza and it was pretty good, but not perfect. The bottom crust was kinda soggy and the outer crust was kinda chewy, but I loved the flavors that were happening. Great location and atmosphere with the cozy brick inside and lively outdoor patio in the middle of downtown Tampa.
google avatar

Yelp
The Carne Pizza was one of the best Pizza's I've had all year, the crust was a perfect balance between crunchy and chewy, the cheese was so melty and easy to eat and the rest of the toppings exploded with flavor. I'm give it a solid 10/10. The salad was refreshing and made for a good addition doesn't take away from the pizza and made for a good side. It deserves a humble 5/5
google avatar

Christopher A.

Yelp
The service was good. The waitress was great. I had the Mushroom Rigatoni. The sauce had a great flavor but the mushrooms were cold and the chicken was overcooked. The whole dish could have been a lot warmer. Like warm pasta is a serious miss. I sat outside and got hit up 2x by homeless people, not the restaurants fault.
google avatar

Greg E.

Yelp
Atmosphere - just OK. The restaurant is small inside and the tables (roughly 6 four tops) are very close together. Service - very good. In fact, had our server not have been so good my overall rating would be a 2 star. Food - disappointing. I ordered the pepperoni pizza and I shared a meatball appetizer. The meatballs are good, but nothing special. The sauce was somewhat bland. The pizza was sub par. The sauce was just OK, the cheese scant and the base of the pie was so undercooked that the dough so soft that a piece was impossible to pick up without the toppings falling off. Ironically, as you can tell by the picture, the crust so burnt and charred that it tasted like it was dropped in charcoal. Overall Value - below average. The pie is small (12"?) and the price high (given the quality).

Yelp
Great Neapolitan pizza, BUT TERRIBLE SERVICE. Our waitress never brought us napkins or utensils. We had to ask for them. And then I had to go look for her and ask for the check because I guess she forgot about us. If you expect people to come back you need to button up your service.

Yelp
We love Bavaro's. The service is always fantastic and the food is great! Homemade pastas, pizzas, and more!

Yelp
What a fun spot! I came here while on my bachelorette in Tampa. Coming from a New Yorker and trying Italian in Florida, oh my God this food was actually very very good!!! The manager was also super nice and talked to us the whole time we were there. He also gave us two free Nutella pizzas with sparklers since it was my bachelorette party. The whole place also made us feel so welcome and gave us recommendations on places to go. We felt very at home and had phenomenal Italian food. I would definitely recommend checking this place out the next time you are in Tampa. I know I am definitely going. For food I got one of their Panini's and added a chicken cutlet to it. The chicken cutlet was so delicious and breaded so good. The Panini was on a different bread than I was used to, but it was oh so good. For an after dinner drink they also give free lemoncello shots. They were super strong, but super delicious!

Yelp
My review is mixed. The pizza was worthy of 4 stars, but the workers I experienced were deserving of less than 2 stars. When we first approached the front door there was a sign asking patrons to wait there to be seated. The worker at the front door gave some attitude to the people in front of us. Then when it was our turn he simply looked at us. I wasn't sure what that was all about, but he was for sure not friendly. I told him there were two of us. He then just stared with no more words. Very weird. Someone else came out, he mentioned us to them, & we were brought inside to be seated. Our waitress was only slightly better. We ordered a pizza. Once it was placed at our table, we never saw her again. Suddenly the bill was dropped at our table with no words. This was really awful service. It was as if none of the workers really wanted to be there. On the flip side, the restaurant interior is very well done. We ordered a Margherita pizza & it was very tasty, made with quality ingredients. So, the place gets a mixed review, lol.
google avatar

Kristin C.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about this place because there were some things that were great but other things, not so much. Definitely make a reservation because on a busy night, they'll be full. It's very small inside, tables extremely close together and nowhere to wait. There were several parties of us waiting to be seated for our reservation and the hostess seemed visibly annoyed that we were waiting in the non existent space at the front, even though she implied our tables were almost ready and had us wait there. So then she sent us all outside, which was fine, but you could tell she was irritated. We were seated right by the front door and hostess stand and then for the first part of our meal, several parties were waiting in that same space up front, hovering right over our table but were not sent outside. Server was great and the chicken Parmesan was excellent, especially the vodka sauce. The meatballs were bland and under seasoned and the white sauce on the other pasta dish we got, was just okay.
google avatar

Therese T.

Yelp
I ordered the tre carne and funghi pizzas. The dough was done very well with a great chew on the pizzas. The tray Carne has three different types of meat on it and it was very great! The cheese is fresh and the sauce is very well seasoned. The woodfired pizza gives a nice little smoky flavor. the mushroom pizza was OK. There are three different types of mushrooms on it, which is a lot of textures, however could use a little bit more flavor and either the sauce or the mushroom seasoning. This is a little bit of a nicer spot to be in. However, people are dress casually there. The service is quick and efficient.

Yelp
Bavaro's is an small Italian restaurant located in Downtown Tampa. Bavaro's specializes in wood-fired pizza and offers great pasta dishes as well. Things I like: The food we ordered was all quite enjoyable. My favorite items were the Margherita Pizza (tasted so fresh and was delicious) and I loved the Ravioli Al Formaggio, the vodka sauce was very good. The cannoli also tasted fresh and was not too sweet. I also recommend ordering a complimentary limoncello! Things I didn't like: There is a large TV in the middle of the room playing programming such as Entertainment Tonight and football. The TV was distracting and did not go well with the environment of the restaurant. Also, the bruschetta and meatballs were just ok. Overall, a nice Italian spot to visit when in downtown Tampa.

Michael P.

Yelp
This location has been our go to restaurant in the downtown Tampa area for 7 years now and it's a shame I haven't written a review. Our favourite dish is the penne alla vodka it's always so good and the pasta is cooked perfectly. We've also had their fresh made pizza and the crust is so airy and light while still having a crunch. Decided to get the shrimp scampi this time it of course did not disappoint. From the hostess to the kitchen every person we encountered was polite knowledgeable and just a general delight. It's a small intimate location but I think it's great for date night or a dinner with friends with the noise level about a medium depending how packed it is. The also have out door seating if you like that as well but never sat outside. Good wine selection for my inexperienced pallet. Definitely make your way here you won't regret it.

Yelp
10/10 experience! Our server AJ was great! He made great recommendations was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the small, quaint restaurant and watching my pizza being made! We started with the Calabrian wings and they are easily the best wings I've ever had! Sweet, sticky, spicy and smoky with an enticing presentation. We also order a side Caesar salad topped with delectably seasoned shrimp, a Margherita pizza, and spaghetti that were all astounding! Bavaro's has easily catapulted itself to one of my favorite eats in Tampa!
google avatar

Yelp
It was okay. I ordered gluten free pasta but it was nothing crazy. I would go back if I was in the area!

Yelp
My favorite pizza ever! I work pretty close by so anytime anyone needs lunch suggestions Bavaro's is definitely my 1st mention! The inside is small but comfortable. The service is always great and the food never disappoints. My favorite is their Burrata Pizza which I add prosciutto di parma to & when I tell you I am completely obsessed! I just finished my pizza and already cant wait til the next time I get to have some more! So excited to see Bavaro's growing and opening in other cities around the Bay Area! Bavaro's has a special place in my heart! Thank you!

Yelp
This is a nice place for a low-key sit down, Italian meal. I came here on a weeknight for dinner with the family. We had reservations, but we would have been fine without. We ate outside, which was nice, but the table was a bit wobbly, and the texture of the table made me worried that the wine glasses would tip over. Also, being outdoors, there were all the ambient smells (someone was smoking around the corner) and car sounds. One man on a scooter zipped right between all the tables at a pretty high speed. Such are the risks of dining in downtown. We started with the charcuterie plate, and it was delicious. We ate everything. My kids shared a pizza marina, and they ate it all up. My husband had the penne alla vodka with shrimp, and I had the limone pasta with shrimp. Everything was delicious.

Adante A.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Service was good. My party split the Pizza Americano & then we did pastas. The pasta tasted homemade and the pizza was top notch. The only complain I would have was the foot traffic when you sit outside. If you like a more peaceful dinner definetly sit inside. I will 100% be coming back to this resteraunt when I return to Tampa.

Jeff Z.

Yelp
Service was slow. They were understandably busy for a Saturday evening. Ordered bruschetta for appetizer, spaghetti for entree. Appetizer was a bland, gooey mess. Pasta was congealed, like overcooked, and then sauce thrown in and sautéed. We've eaten here before and the food normally is ok, but tonight was just very off. Not sure why. We finished with the tiramisu - it wasn't bad, but not great. Ambiance; it's alright, kinda quaint, but noisy. BTW, last time we had a few of their pies and they were good. Overall, just an average experience.

Yelp
Ate here after a performance at the Straz center on a Saturday afternoon. Very surprised how good it was. Pasta al dente w marinara & meatballs of beef&pork and a Margarita pizza w mushrooms. Service excellent Hope to try the one on Clearwater Beach and have the same experience.

Michael K.

Yelp
Pizza was fantastic. Tagliatelle was too. Very nice. We had reservations and it was a bit crowded when we got there. Would definitely go again.

Yelp
Decent food, nothing extraordinary but just some solid pasta and pizza at a reasonable price

I was in Tampa on business, and I was lucky to find Bavaro's. I had the shrimp scampi it was delicious. The service was excellent.

Yelp
Lauren the host was one of the kindest woman I've ever met. Food was so phenomenal and the wine was unlike anything me and my mother have ever had. I would 100% come back here again.

Yelp
Great spot for lunch. Small in the inside but they have lots of seating outside. The outside seating is covered, but it does run through the public sidewalk, so don't expect any privacy. I honestly love the set up outside, very chic lol The food is great. After this visit, I went back the following week because it was so good.

Yelp
I ordered the rigatoni al funghi and while it was very yummy, it was also very oily. I wish the sauce had been more thick/creamy. The pasta-to-toppings ratio was good, and the fried basil leave on top was a nice touch. For $22 that was a really nice portion. Our server was really friendly and on top of things. A huge downside is the size and location of the restaurant. It's very small so it's hard to get seated inside. We had to sit outside and there were homeless people constantly passing next to our table and saying things to us. If you live downtown and are used to this then it might not bother you. However, I wouldn't go to this restaurant unless I had a reservation to sit inside.

Yelp
I've been to Oronzo in midtown who have the same owners as Bavaro's. I really like Oronzo so we figured it would be a good idea to check out their cousin, Bavaro's. This was a well made decision because we had a pleasant experience. Sofia was amazing. I felt welcome, she was quick and empathetic. Every restaurant should have a person like Sofia. The food was good. I was a bit disappointed with my pizza because it wasn't firm when I picked it up. Once I picked it up all my toppings fell off because the dough was too soft. Nonetheless, it was tasty and the pasta was even better in my opinion. Penne Alla Vodka is worth it.
