New England Restaurant News, Updated Weekly (Winter 2020) | Eater Boston

"A sibling to an existing beer hall slated to open in fall 2020 at the Wexford Innovation Center, this roomy new restaurant will seat roughly 100 inside and 100 outside, offer full service with a new American menu overseen by an experienced culinary director, and present a lush ‘garden’ aesthetic with lots of greenery and indoor trees rather than a traditional beer garden." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Perfect. The waitress/ bartender was such a delight. Food came out fast and was delicious. Talk about flavor. The pickles were a 10/10. I had to take my white fish melt to go because my phone was about to die but I highly recommend this place. Very clean, friendly & a vibe. Will definitely be returning.

Google
Nice visit to Bayberry for their Sunday brunch menu. We started with the Oysters which were all local varieties and nice clean and fresh. The White Fish Melt, Chicken sandwich and the cobb salad were all liked. They have a nice wine selection of both bottles and by the glass along with featuring beers from a Connecticut brewery which were nicely crafted. Service was a little slow and the staff did apologize for that. Look forward to going back.

Had such a memorable and lovely dinner here! We tried the tasting menu and absolutely loved it. We got forgotten about when the wait staff changed over but they were extremely gracious about it and comped a cocktail which we really appreciated. Great experience overall.

Another review asked how can you look at a half chewed pile of meat on a plate and think someone enjoyed it? I had a similar experience with the chicken & waffle. The waffle was buttery and crispy and full of real maple syrup - delicious! The chicken however was a small thigh maybe? I don’t know if I was expected to pick it up with my hands and eat it like a piece of fried chicken, but I struggled for 30 minutes with a forks and knife in search of meat and finally gave up after too many bites of fat. The shakshuka was divine! See pics. Our server Megan was wonderful.

Very good. Some bold flavors. Our toast for our cheese dish was hard to chew but overall a very good experience.

Google
Our 5 course NYE dinner was an amazing experience. We sat at the bar and were impressed by watching the open kitchen staff preparing for the big night. Each of the courses were presented timely and with full descriptions from the servers. The combination of presentation and blend of unique ingredients worked fabulously. The sommelier took his time and we honed in on a bottle from Tuscany that checked all the boxes. We sat next to a regular who told us about the regular menu bringing him back time and time again. Interior tastefully decorated with high ceilings but sound absorbing panels to keep the sound level low for intimate conversations.

Loved the outdoor seating and being able to bring our dog, while enjoying a wonderful meal together!! Everything was perfect!! Food was amazing - fabulous presentation with unique choices for all palates!! A must visit!!

Google
Bayberry Gardens was a modern, accessible place to experience fine dining without the rigidity of more traditional restaurants. The space is open, lush, and welcoming with greenery and open views of the kitchen space on one side of the dining area and views of downtown Providence on the other. We really felt like we were in a garden. The drinks were fantastic and our server was helpful with recommendations. Our appetizer was the hush puppies which we almost annihilated before remembering to grab a picture. For our entree we chose the salmon and lumache, both were artfully prepared. The sausage in the pasta was flavorful and well complemented by the sauce. The fish was perfectly cooked, nestled in a bed of succotash that felt seasonal and fresh. We had no room for dessert but didn’t miss the sweets after such a delicious meal. Our experience was wonderful, only notes for others is that the tasting menu option must be selected by both diners in the party, one of you can’t opt in while the other orders from the main menu. Our server was helpful and explained the menu choices well, gave good drink recommendations and had well timed check ins but was not very warm, not a bother for many, might have been just an off night for them. We loved every bite, will be back!

Yelp
Our party of five had a reservation for the busy Bayberry Garden brunch. We were warmly greeted and shown to a sunny corner table. This table might be too sunny for the summer, but it was a certainly a welcome respite for this cold new England day. We were hangry and ordered: Eggs Benedict $19 Egg Sandwich $19 Gardner's Breakfast with Steak $32 Pain Perdu $9 Shakshuka $19 Coffee, Tea, Soda The service was excellent throughout our meal and the venue here is very pleasant. It can be a little noisy when busy, but the volume was reasonable at our table. There were no complaints from any of the diners, the Eggs Benedict were tasty and nicely executed and so was my Gardner's Breakfast with Steak. The tea was hot on this visit (unlike my prior review). We really enjoyed our brunch here and will be happy to return. Note that: 1. Reservations are recommended 2. There was an automatic 3% Kitchen Team Service Fee added to our bill. 3. They participate in the Marriott Dine Around Program

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely love this place!! When you walk in, you're greeted with familiarity and friendliness. The ambiance is warm and garden-like! There are many plants hanging around. It's both calming and beautiful. The atmosphere is great, although it can be quite loud and we do recommend making reservations ahead of time! The flavors are exquisite. Although, be prepared -- the appetizer portions are tapas size. You get just enough to taste the flavorfulness, but it keeps you wanting more! My go-to choices are the fish specials, crudo and shell fish, and root veggies. Given my particular pallet, I've never been disappointed with my lunch or dinner options. My husband prefers their steaks and pastas and he has been always satisfied -- however, if anything looks out of sorts or out of alignment with your pallet, the staff are generally good at addressing these type of issues. Lastly, we usually come on an empty stomach and have yet to leave feeling stuffed or heavy. However, this establishment is all about comfort and familiarity which can get quite pricy if you're not paying attention. So, good luck selecting your favorite dishes-- they've got many amazing options!

Yelp
Ambiance it top notch. Such a cute spot for brunch-there's plenty of natural light and lots of greenery inside. Everything we ordered was tasty and I think the eggs Benedict was one of the best I've had. It was so buttery and soft! They have a great selection of drinks- for both alcoholic and non alcoholic so there's something for everyone. It does seem to get busy but not overly crowded. We were able to get a table for 3 on a Sunday afternoon but the table was directly in the sunlight. Overall would recommend this place for a brunch to catch up with friends!

Yelp
We made a reservation but the person who was seating us suggested that we sit at the bar, with the walk-ins, because it's "more beautiful" than the dining room. I agreed in the moment but I don't think I would agree to it in the future. Why? I don't like sitting at the bar of places and eating there. I would rather have a server dedicated to my table than a bartender who is very busy with drinks and side work. Not that the bartender wasn't great, he was. He did his best to be attentive and take care of us. I also didn't want to sit at a bar chair, no matter how pretty the plants are around me. At least these chairs were semi-comfortable. They were too close together though and when someone was sat next to me, his arm was on me the whole time. I should have said no to the pretty room. We had a couple of mocktails. The pineapple coffee one is absolutely fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone. I liked my lemon basil one but it was too sweet. The food was really good and I'd eat here for brunch (and any other meal) again for sure.

Yelp
Stopped in for a cocktail. Beautiful restaurant with an ambiance to match. Really enjoyed the old school soul playlist they had going. Beautiful and creative cocktails. Attentive and friendly service.

Yelp
Great food....amazing service and cute ambiance. If you like a buzz --book at night. If you like quiet , get their early dinner. Definitely worth the time.

Yelp
Such a beautiful restaurant with the most attentive staff! I feel like I was sitting at a show at the chefs counter. While other customers chatted with the chefs, we just intently watched. We watched the dance between the chefs, how they prepared each dish, how each were beautifully plated and called. Everyone respecting each other's space while predicting each other's next moves and executing with precision with barely any words spoken between each other. The chef directly in front of us was quiet, focused, but I can see his eyes flicker each time a comment about the food was made. He worked the grill and fryer looked over each dish before sending it out. I did not see him lose focus even once. Chef next to him was a quiet calm and collected young woman who literally held her hands over fire to prepare the fish working the griddle knowing precisely when to move each one. Chef to the far left of us was more talkative working the stove and orchestrated what looked like 10 hot pans over the fire going all at the same time. Chef looking over the oysters and I'm going to guess the raw seafood moved so fast that I didn't even catch him shucking the oyster and sashimi plate before it made its way in front of us. Chef to the far right was in charge of what I believe was the dessert. She floated in and out quietly grabbing plates, restocking, and creating bits of art as we watched. Our servers (I'm going to say I counted 4) were all extremely nice, informative, and never let either of our glasses get empty before it was refilled. We ordered the chefs tasting (can you tell I love not making decisions?) and course after course was brilliant. I cannot name them all, but all were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant and 100 % recommend the chefs counter with a seat closest to the oysters, you get a great view of the whole show, and highly recommend the chefs tasting!

Yelp
Delicious dinner! On the pricier side, but well worth it. Our favorite dish was the broccoli! Such an interesting and cool combination that I would never think of at home. Our least favorite dish was the leeks; the boquerones were overpowering to the point where it didn't really taste like leeks anymore. The space is very pretty; airy and earth tones. The service was also very good!

Yelp
Bayberry Garden has a really lovely atmosphere. It is filled with live plants and lots of natural light. There is also outdoor seating in warmer weather. The staff are also very warm and attentive. I went with a group of three people, and in terms of the food, we were all a little disappointed. We started with the bread bowl that came with a garlic butter, and that was pretty good. For a main, I got the pasta with duck sausage. I thought the duck sausage was great, but the pasta overall was crunchier than I'd like. One of the other people got the squash dish. It had a beautiful presentation, but she also ultimately felt it was crunchier or less cooked than she'd like. The last person we were with got the chicken, and just didn't really like the sauce it was in. At the end of the meal they gave us some nice candied ginger squares, and that was a nice way to end the meal. Overall, the dinner here might be more about ambiance. I'd consider coming back for brunch.

Yelp
Our amazing server Deborah deserves a raise for giving us the absolute best experience :) She was so sweet and gave us some champagne on the house when she found out my girlfriends and I were there celebrating my birthday. She told us so much about the restaurant owner/founder and the story behind all the plants in the place. She made our experience truly unforgettable. As for the food, we were in love with the grilled cheese and tomato soup! The sourdough was perfect for dipping into the warm, slightly sour yet hearty tomato soup. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, with every corner flourishing in green. Definitely would love to come back if I'm ever in the Providence area again. Such a great experience that added to my already amazing birthday weekend!

Yelp
Bayberry Garden fits the bill of New England coastal flavors set in a garden motif well. While this place wouldn't be my first choice if I got dinner in Providence, it's not a bad choice either. The salmon was fantastic, that was easily the highlight of dinner. Cooked to perfection, salty crispy skin, and the sorrel bechemel was the perfect sauce to pair with it. Another really tasty dish that I didn't take a picture of was the chitarra. Super flavorful but was in desperate need of protein. The bread was good, it was bread with butter - a classic pairing. Both of the apps, I was really let down by. The hush puppies were very dry and lacked flavor. The mushroom fritto misto on the other hand was too much breading and enough mushroom but the breading was good? Overall, I'd wait for this current menu to rotate out before I'd consider going back.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant about a year and a half ago, in the summer. The food was amazing, though the menu may have changed since then. It's a really great spot for a refreshing and filling dinner on a summer day. The restaurant's interior is also very cute

Yelp
If you walk north past the Dune Brothers Seafood shack between Dyer and Eddy street, you end up at a building housing Bayberry Garden and the CIC coworking space. Bayberry could be considered borderline fine dining--they offer a bright airy interior, a semi-open kitchen, hospitable front-of-house staff, a cocktail selection, and a tasting menu, if you're up for it. They also offer brunch, which seems to feature popular brunch fare, such as a plethora of egg-based dishes. Okay. So, just to let you know, their tasting menu is only available for dinner. They do have a mix of bar and table seating. Reservations appear to be highly recommended, because their space can become busy. And during busy times, it can get quite loud. Their tasting menu has a few variants, so you can customize your protein to an extent--for example, whether you'd like more seafood or land based protein. The pricing between the options does vary. The chefs will do their best to accommodate your preferences. After tasting their food on their tasting menu, I can only conclude that their food is mediocre given their projected relatively upscale image. Several dishes were too salty; others were unmemorable. The presentation on the plates lacked aesthetic. The dishes and their ingredients were explained, but the dishes themselves lacked soul, interest, or comfort. Better (more enjoyable) options exist elsewhere. I am glad to have given this place a try, in order to confirm that I will not voluntarily come here for their food in the future. Vibe-wise, it's pretty nice, but the flavors miss their mark.
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
This is a really lovely spot for a splurgy dinner out. The vibe is great, airy and green with lots of windows and plants. Menu is pretentious but our server was kind and patient interpreting it for us. Cocktails were delicious, as well as our appetizers (hush puppies and olives), mains (salmon and a veg pasta), and dessert (stone fruit tart because why say apricot?). A beautiful dinner, highly recommend.

Yelp
I love it here Consistently awesome differences in flavor profiles on the menu. Service is quick yet not overwhelming Everything is fresh and comes out perfect. It isn't all that expensive and the ambiance is one of the best in the city. Must try! Sit at the chefs table and get the $90 course meal! Worth it
google avatar

Cori F.

Yelp
This is a really great brunch spot. It's super cute with lots of natural light, plants, and cute booths. The staff is pretty on top of things. They have good mocktails on the menu and a full bar. The chorizo is a must. It was so tasty. The sour dough was tasty. The eggs were done well. The servings were on the smaller side but I'd definitely go here for brunch again.
google avatar

Kristen M.

Yelp
If I could give 6 stars, I would. The level of service was impeccable I cannot put it into words. My fiance and I shared a variety of chef selected dishes and I truly loved every single one. The ingredients are so fresh it is unlike any restaurant I've ever had. Everything we ate was so fulfilling. The waitstaff took such good care of us I am so impressed. I will absolutely come back here again. This has been one of the best meals I've had in a long time.

Yelp
We really enjoyed brunch at Bayberry Garden. It's a beautiful space, with lots of light and greenery with a big bar and lots of seats. I asked them to make me a spiked iced coffee which was wonderful and my partner had a bloody mary (with real horseradish) - so good. I had the cobb salad which was good but maybe too much dressing and my partner had the eggs benedict which she raved about. It's a touch expensive but delightful for a treat.
google avatar

Power G.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this place. It was open and bright. They had a nice mix of food types on the menu. We day at the bar, and the bartender was friendly. We drank 3 beers, a mimosa, and an aperol spritz, and ate a hamburger and the chicken & waffle, and a side of their daily-homemade potato chips. And all of it was very good. I particularly like the glaze of maple syrup on the fried chicken. For vegetarians - there are veggie options on the menu.
google avatar

Victoria K.

Yelp
I've been to Bayberry Garden in the past for drinks (yum) but recently tried it for lunch and had a really good experience! The service team is great, from the friendly manager to our attentive server. The space is bright and airy with massive windows. In the warmer months I enjoy sitting outside, but you still get a lot of that warmth and green-ness indoors with the ample natural light and decor. We all opted for sandwiches. I tried the grilled cheese and tomato soup. It was honestly fantastic. The soup was really good with a bit of herb oil and cheese to finish it off. The grilled cheese was on sourdough, had a great crunch, and the combination of cheeses used was really tasty. It totally hit the spot on a chilly winter day. I will definitely plan to visit again soon!
google avatar

Sahira L.

Yelp
Bayberry garden ambiance and service is really good everyone was welcoming and kind. The drinks are really good I asked for a recommendation for something fruity and the bartender was really helpful. The food was decent the salmon for me was very small and not filling for the price it is at. The pasta was very good and filling and also the hush puppies were pretty good as well overall had a good experience here

Josh T.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service, never disappoints. We Love bar seats for a quick drop in and a glass of wine.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
Went here on a date before going g to see Shen Yung. The experience was wonderful. My date and I split 4 courses, and each was better than the next. The burnt broccoli sauce was exquisite as was the sauce with the salmon. Want to impress a date? This is a great option
google avatar

Selena H.

Yelp
I had a high expectation with great reviews and farm to table concept of the restaurant. The interior was cute and staffs were nice. Foods were delivered very quickly, which was nice. But I didn't get any impression from plates. We were kind of mis-directed by the name of the menu, smoked fish plate, which was actually a salad type - our fault that missed the description. It was a bit fish smelling and quite salty. I would understand if the fishes were not so fresh and if it was tried to cover that, but I wasn't sure. It was hard to have it as it is without cracker or vegetable on the side. Benedict was just okay. Nothing to complain, the bread was a bit more like pancake type of it which was greater than english muffin!
google avatar

Megan H.

Yelp
Bayberry is one of my favorite places for a nice dinner in Providence. The decor is great, with a lot of greenery around. The food, while on the pricier side, is still quite worth it! This time, I got the lumache, which seemed to be a new item on the menu, and it was delicious with great texture. The chilled red wine we got was a great pairing with it. For dessert, the coffee custard tart was yummy, almost like the flavor of coffee ice cream. It was a great way to end our meal!

James H.

Yelp
I'm not a brunch fan but dropped in at Bayberry Garden last Sunday for an impromptu meal. The fresh ousters and whitefish melt were awesome. Our server recommended a wonderful wine pairing that was not yet on the menu. The restaurant was packed--a fitting testament to the excellent food and service we received.

Yelp
A hidden paradise near the walking bridge in Providence Rhode Island. This venue not only offers a eye delight when it comes to flowers and plants as decor as well as excellent food, staff and bar ambiance. If you love nature like decor as much as I well this is your HIDDEN PARADISE.

Kevin N.

Yelp
Best brunch in Providence and wonderful service. I appreciated that they had some great drinks as well!
google avatar

Yelp
Great creative menu for food and cocktails. The cocktails were divine and I love the seasonal selections for food! Never disappointed. The rabbit spring pasta was my favorite dish.
google avatar

Tom P.

Yelp
Everything was so ok, at a lesser price I might give a 5 star rating. The bread was cold and the dishes were otherwise bland. For 170 all in for two ppl plus kid I expect a bit more.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
Very very sad to see Tomato soup and grilled cheese removed from the brunch menu. I came for that dish twice a month for the last year. Staff was excellent, as usual.
google avatar

Jackie S.

Yelp
Went here with some friends. They made a reservation and we just walked right in and we're immediately sat. The atmosphere was very friendly and there were plants everywhere. It had an artsy, hipster plant vibe and it was done very tastefully. Service was very good. My friend made the reservation and said that it was my birthday. At least 3 of the staff made a point to wish me a happy birthday. It was so kind. Food wise, it was very tasty. I had a chicken sandwich . It was sticky but tasty. I wished it was a little spicier, however still tasty

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Bayberry Garden. Bayberry Garden is located in downtown Providence and in a building called Point225. The building houses Brown's School of Professional Studies and Division of Pre-College and Undergraduate Programs as well. When you walk into the restaurant, the dining room is bright and you feel like you walked into a garden with trees, vines, and foliage. There is also an outside patio. We got seated by a window table inside with a view of Providence River Pedestrian Bridge. I had a mimosa with orange juice. I liked how it had a lot of pulp. We had the tomato panzanella to start. This had focaccia pieces, cucumber, gorgonzola dolce whipped, and tomato. It was good and refreshing for the summer. I had the gardener's breakfast which had 2 eggs (any way you liked them cooked), chouriço, grilled sourdough, hash brown, and rogue lettuce farm's greens lightly dressed. The presentation was very nice. Everything in this dish tasted good. It was just a little too salty for me. My husband enjoyed the breakfast sandwich. Service was great and attentive. We came at about 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon and didn't have a reservation. We were seated right away. I would come back and try their dinner. A kitchen team service fee of 3% is added to the check.
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
Honestly this was in the top five meals I've ever had! Friends took us while on vacation and thought it was a great spot. The service was top notch - very attentive and personalized. The space was beautiful and airy. We split a few dishes - I particularly LOVED the grilled Caesar, salmon, and bread (that ramp butter was excellent!). Dessert was great too. I had an herby mock tail which was so yummy - delicate and light! I wish I lived close to go again! Though I'm sure my wallet doesn't - it is a bit pricey.
google avatar

Edgardo M.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast and brunch. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Great customer service and has a good selection of food and beverages.
google avatar

Emma D.

Yelp
It was incredible. My husband and I both had the chef's tasting menu with the beverage pairing and oh my goodness! Everything was delicious. The drinks paired with the food were perfect and tasty. We sat at the chef's counter and it was so fun to watch them work. The inside was beyond beautiful. So many plants, wonderful lighting, and very welcoming and cool. The food and atmosphere were just so great BUT the service (if possible) was even better. The staff were so knowledgeable and kind. They brought out the food at the perfect pace. I can't say enough wonderful things about the dinner and the experience we had here. I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Hannah P.

Yelp
A lovely hidden gem in the middle of downtown Providence. Recently visited for brunch - everything was amazing! The cocktails are both beautiful and delicious. The ambiance is modern with lots of greenery. The service was excellent - everyone was so helpful, friendly and attentive. The drinks and food came out quickly and were exactly what we ordered. Not that they DO have vegetarian and gluten free options available! There is something for everyone!
google avatar

Jamie L.

Yelp
I visited recently for their prix fixe for $28, which comes with salad, sandwich, and dessert. It's rare I get to try their lunch since it's week days only, so I went for it! The grilled Caesar salad is smaller than the usual order. I was addicted to the Parmesan custard. It was thick and full of flavor. And grilled lettuce, who would have thought! It added to the dish and really made it unique. The jambon Beurre I really wanted to fully love. The sandwich itself is great, but the baguette was really hard. I don't know if seeded baguette are harder or maybe it was older bread, but it took a long time to chew and I was struggling to eat it. Other than that, the sandwich was really good! The chips tasted freshly fried and a nice touch. For dessert, I had the strawberry Basil sorbet. Very refreshing. I liked that it was creamy and not icey like other sorbets can usually be. It was a great end to the courses. I haven't been in awhile but I like that they added trees to the floor. I wish I took a picture to show how the tiles were removed to plant the trees. It's really cool. Overall, great spot and I hope to try dinner there sometime!
google avatar

Lexi H.

Yelp
My partner and I had an amazing experience at Bayberry Garden. We ordered the chef's tasting menu, and it was well worth the price! We were served 4 raw bar options, including caviar, oysters, yellowfin tuna, and salmon tartar! The highlights of the meal were the roasted cabbage and the creamy pasta dish I will be returning specifically for those two items and the cocktails! The waitstaff and chefs were all wonderful, as well! We sat at the chefs counter and really enjoyed watching the chef's prepare our meal.
google avatar

Rachel A.

Yelp
This space is so pretty! Hopefully I can come back during the day time. We went here for dinner and got all the dishes pictured along with their bread service. Everything was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Stefanie S.

Yelp
We came on a Thursday night for drinks before dinner. We all ordered the espresso martinis and they were delicious! The staff were incredibly kind and friendly. Service was super fast! Great spot for a cozy date night.
google avatar

Lauren Z.

Yelp
The service is great, the food is great, and the restaurant itself is so cute. There's so many plants. It feels so fresh and natural. I've only had breakfast here, but it was delicious. I would definitely try again, next time I'll come for dinner.
google avatar

Graham P.

Yelp
Fantastic meal with delicious, interesting and fresh flavors. Food is made to be shared which we liked. The space is chic yet warm and inviting. Service was super and very attentive
google avatar

K B.

Yelp
I should say that the restaurant is beautiful inside and the service is great. However, food was less than mediocre. For the price they charge I would expect much better developed flavors. This is the first and the last time I've visited this place. It is not worth the money. There are hundreds of fine dining options in Providence where two people can have an outstanding meal for $200. This missed the mark.
google avatar

Jenna H.

Yelp
This place was phenomenal! The interior is absolutely gorgeous, with tons of natural light and so many beautiful plants. It truly felt like a garden! We arrived a little early for our reservation and the host was kind and helpful, let us know our table wasn't quite ready and showed us where we could wait. He kindly kept us updated every few minutes or so, and was gracious. Our server was kind and friendly, she gave some great recommendations. The Eggs Benedict dish was to die for, the ham they used was so tender and delicious. My husband had the hash and it was so good! Our little one ordered a chocolate chip cookie and a side of bacon (breakfast of champions) and the cookie was incredible! So fresh and perfectly baked. 10/10 all around.

Yelp
This review is based on a number of visits for lunch and dinner. The food is consistently excellent. One of the things I really love is that they build a menu based on shared plates. You get to try more dishes, and who doesn't love that? I also like that they feel confident in their menu, and don't try to follow trends or go off target with poorly conceived dishes just to show off. Everything is prepared with quality. Service is excellent. Low key, unfussy and on point. This carries over to the ambiance. It's cool, comfortable, without feeling like a hipster haven. Real food for real people. Cocktails are beautifully crafted, beers and wines choices are ample. This is a restaurant that belongs in your regular rotation.

Yelp
This place is a true gem just to the south of downtown Providence. We elected to do the chef's tasting menu and sit at the chef's table for our birthday, and we were not disappointed. The kitchen staff was so very friendly and eager to answer our questions and talk to us about what we were eating (and what they were preparing). The wine pairings were very creative and exciting. The restaurant filled up and had a bit of a "hustle-and-bustle" vibe, which was impressive for a Tuesday evening. Pace of the service was slightly slow at times due to the large crowd, but not to the level of being a detriment (and the staff was always apologetic when things took longer than they felt they should). It was refreshing to eat such creative, high-end cuisine at a place with a casual, laid-back atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and make reservations here during your Providence stay.
