Waterfront dining with craft cocktails, brunch, happy hour

"Happy Hour beckons at one of Miami’s buzziest locations overlooking Biscayne Bay, where every Monday from 4 to 6 p.m., patrons can enjoy $2 oysters. Pair with cocktails like the Come Fly With Me or Tropical Paper Plane that hint at the space’s origin as the former home of the Pan American Seaplane base." - Olee Fowler

"This waterfront hotspot partnered with vodka maker Tito’s to offer the ultimate Big Game experience, complete with lawn games like corn hole, lawn chairs, free samples, two mobile bars, and a designated tailgate area. Cabanas are available for rent along with a $65 prix fixe menu created for the football fan — think crispy chicken wings, super nachos, wagyu beef sliders, sticky ribs, and more." - Alona Martinez

"Coconut Grove’s newest restaurant, Bayshore Club, has finally debuted in the coveted waterfront space that was the former longtime home of Scotty’s Landing. The massive indoor and outdoor space is a nostalgic nod to midcentury travel and the area’s Pan Am roots. Guests can dine on a range of seafood-leaning dishes like crab causa, grilled fish tacos, blackened Mahi, and a large assortment of raw bar options by chef Jeff McInnis. Just north of the restaurant, Bayshore Club features an area called “the lawn,” with private cabanas, lounge seating, games like ping pong and corn hole, and even fire pits. And yes, in true Miami fashion, you can even arrive for your meal via boat." - Olee Fowler

"As a nod to its aviation history (the restaurant is built on the historic site known as Dinner Key, that once served as the base for Pan Am Airways) this new kid on the block offers the “Come Fly With Me” Aperol cocktail. Made with Aperol, prosecco, and sweet passion fruit pulp, it’s a refreshing twist on a favorite classic." - Alona Martinez

"After years of waiting, I’m excited that the much-anticipated waterfront restaurant Bayshore Club opens Monday, July 25 in the coveted space that was the longtime home of Scotty’s Landing at 3391 Pan American Drive near Dinner Key, where Pan American had its first seaplane terminal. The project is from Grove Bay Hospitality (the team behind Stubborn Seed and Glass & Vine), which tapped chef Jeff McInnis of Root & Bone Miami and Mi’talia Kitchen & Bar to create the menu for a tropical, midcentury-travel–inspired, 300-seat indoor/outdoor spot that’s one of the few places in Coconut Grove to overlook Biscayne Bay. Guests are welcomed by a retro “Greetings from Miami” postcard mural and led to a 360-degree bar; just north is “the lawn,” featuring private cabanas, lounge seating, games like ping pong and corn hole, and fire pits, and you can even arrive by boat. The seafood-leaning menu includes crab causa, tuna tartare, grilled fish tacos, blackened mahi and an extensive raw bar, highlighted by a Cocktail Cooler with two dozen blue crab cocktail claws, two dozen red royal shrimp and the restaurant’s “secret sauce” served on a bed of ice inside a boat cooler; brunch offers a lobster and goat cheese omelet, a breakfast sandwich, low country shrimp and grits and a Medianoche French toast, and a full bar is available. Bayshore Club is open daily for lunch and dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m." - Olee Fowler
