Bayview Yacht Club

World class sailboat racing club. Wide array of racing programs and events for ages. Training on Ultimate 20's, Junior 420's, Optimist dinghies and more. Hitch hiker Thursdays allow new sailors to race on larger boats to gain experience for big events like the Bayview One Design and Port Huron to Mackinac Races. Prospective members are encouraged to come sail in Adult Learn to Sail classes and crew on a variety of boats.

I enrolled in the Adult Learn to Sail program, and the first class has me absolutely hooked! The Ultimate 20 boats we're learning on are incredibly responsive, and I already can't wait to get back on the water. The shared passion for sailing among the instructors and everyone at BYC is great to witness. Eagerly looking forward to our next class!

We sailed in this afternoon from Crescent, they kindly accepted us for dinner and outdoor seating. Service was prompt, quality of ingredients / preparation was very good, prices were fair, and the setting is great. Often times the places with a great location underdeliver and are overpriced. Great medium priced restaurant experience.

I dislike the menu it’s not even close to how it used to be 10 years ago. They are crashing. I miss the old staff and the old food. They over cooked everything my family ordered. The appetizers are over priced and not that good. The calamari really bothers me. Also the hostess has an attitude that’s not favorable.

My nephew and his wife got married here. The ceremony was beautiful, and the scenery was gorgeous! You have to watch your phone service because some guests were connecting to towers in Canada. I didn't have any problem with my phone service. Beautiful place

Bayview Yacht Club is a beautiful place to hold a private event. Our group had the Mackinaw Room with an outdoor patio right on the Detroit River. We got to watch the regatta right in front of the club. The food is excellent too. I had some of the best chips I've ever tasted. They must make them in-house. I hope to attend another event at Bayview Yacht Club soon.

The new club will take time to get warmer finishes but still has an amazing ambiance with the addition of the upstairs bar!! The place is a great!

We had the most spectacular dinner and service there on an early Saturday evening last week. After a great dinner we ordered Hummers to take outside and enjoy sitting along the waters edge. Perfect in all categories

Beautiful place! My friend keeps his boat here and it was very clean and pleasant. Haven't gone in to eat yet but I plan on it next summer

My wife recently signed up for sailing lessons - been a dream for quite a while​ - and is enjoying the lessons, the learning​​ and the experience. BONUS - during lessons, we are granted "temporary membership," and so have frequented the club 3 times - twice for dinner and once for a quick afternoon drink. The view is lovely, the people unpretentious and friendly, the service accommodating​, and the food delicious. What more could you ask for? We are strongly considering joining as members once the lessons finish. Perhaps the best part? Original HUMMERS!!!!!

Great club! Fun loving people. Amazing views of the Detroit River from the back patio area. Food is great. Staff are pleasant and seem happy to be there. Sailing and races are top notch.

This is an amazing Yacht Club! Stopped on our way up the river(s) and down! Cookie makes an amazing cosmo and tops it off with a smile that lights up the room! Keith must do 100,000 steps in a shift and never forgets to check on you! He makes everyone feel special! I cannot forget to give a shoutout to Connie! She works above and beyond her duties and her scheduled hours (just to make sure everything is okay). As the daughter of a veteran I also have to appreciate their 9:00 am flag raising and as a pediatric occupational therapist, a kudos to their very active junior sailing program. You can not go wrong here!

I'm out with a friend who took me to dinner tonight and truth be told... I planned my meal around coming to BYC after going to dinner at whereveritwashewantedtotakeme for the sole purpose of getting some of Bayview's own, Original HUMMERS!! The home of the original recipe concocted by longtime legendary bartender extraordinaire, Jerome Adams!!

The Best Yacht Club Excellent Food‼ Great View My Uncle John Pappas is A Member‼We like to visit at Least once a week. Great drinks and the Service is always super.

Very friendly atmosphere and a good view. Also a great place to keep your boat. I bring my wife and sons here as many weekends as we can in the summer. This is a small community and you get to know people and everyone feels like family. I've been sailing since I was a young boy and wanted my wife to learn too. She was eager. Fortunately there are people who can teach you from square one. Will little to no experience sailing, she now has learned so much and is even confident bringing guests out on her own.

The Bayview yacht club is kind-a hard-to-find. Took a date to dinner there.She wanted to look at the water while we ate. Although it is listed as a private club, I just mentioned I wanted to come for dinner and they said no problem. It was good. A little bit pricier than Sinbad's but worth it. I found the place very friendly. The view was great. The drinks are reasonably priced. This is the place where they invented the Hummer.
