"“Size is everything,” says the sign on the counter at Point St-Charles’s BBagels, a narrow brick-lined shop adjacent to gourmet grocery Épicerie l’Avant Goût. The bagels here are bigger and softer than the classic Montreal variety (two times as big, they boast), and look more like New York bagels with a distinct hole in the center. BBagels commits to selling always-hot in classic flavors like sesame, poppy, and everything, alongside plain and zaatar-covered. Each order comes with a schmear of your choice—we love the green onion with lemon zest and the dill pickle option, but the jury’s out on the Nutella and bacon cream cheese." - Ivy Lerner-Frank

Very cool bagel shop connected to the market next door. We got the poppyseed, salt and plain bagels, all delicious and soft. The bagels are huge and New York style, which are a treat to find in Montreal. We also got the honey, garlic and jalapeño cream cheese, which was not my favourite but my partner loved it.

A Bagel Bakery Experience Like No Other If you're craving crispy yet fluffy, fresh bagels that are as big as your appetite, look no further than bbagels. This rustic-looking gem of a bakery makes the largest bagels in town (because yes, size matters) in many excellent flavours and exudes a sense of genuineness that welcomes you with open arms and a warm smile. As soon as you step inside, you can feel the love and passion that goes into every delicious bagel they craft. The upbeat and dynamic work environment is contagious, with a team that radiates energy and enthusiasm. They will have you yelling "HOT BAGELS!" every time you hear the oven ring when a new batch of hot bagels is ready, and we dare you not to sing along with their amazing earworm playlist. The sense of community is palpable, as customers and employees alike come together to break bread – literally – over these creative spins on traditional bagels. They also use no animal by-products (in their bagels), making them a standout choice for vegans and vegetarians. But that's only half the story; the other star of the show is their housemade schmears. With a plethora of creative options that are game-changing in their deliciousness, like Honey/Garlic/Jalapeño, Nutella bacon, Beurre Vegane Épicé à la Marocaine, and the exquisite old family recipe Hummus, just to name a few. A unique and indulgent twist to the bagel experience. You will make audible moaning sounds when you taste these dipping sauces for the first time. BBagels are so good they make you stutter. (B-Bagels) From now on, when someone asks me where to find the best bagels in Montreal, my answer will be simple: bbagels Don't miss out on this bakery that's redefining the Montreal bagel scene, one mouthwatering bite at a time.

Through this weird looking door opens up this really authentic looking bakery. The bagel ... honestly its nice, its fluffy it has more of the bread then your regular bagel, it doesnt have the stretch mtl bagels have either. Do we like it ? Yes absolutely, i think it has that size and texture that makes the bagel a sandwich base i think the dipping style this lovely lady is pushing is a great way to upsell but on the contrary i think that the size of those bagels make them destined to become sandwiches and delicious ones at that, either way go try it it is 100% worth it !

Amazing Bagel’s, friendly service. The Bagel has great texture soft on the inside. The size is big, this Bagel id like no other in Montréal. PS the whipped cream shmeres are beautifully balanced. These bagels can be estén on their own or as sandwich.

Yum bagels. What else is there to say? The atmosphere is nice (that tiny little building with the weird door... I wonder what it used to be? It's all brick and very cozy), the bagel baker is very nice and I think the bagels are made with lots of love. I've enjoyed every single bagel I've had so far and don't plan to stop. I only first tried this place last week and I plan to treat my household (or coworkers maybe) to bagels once a week!

Bbgels, I wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood. We tried these bagels today after seeing their ads on TikTok. Really good dips and bagels. On the side of dips, I would have one recommendation. For the cinnamon bagels, it would go really good with cream cheese icing dip. I'm just saying lol. Fatty likes his sweets. Hope to see you guys in the neighborhood for many years to come.

Google
A new place in PSC that serves giant bagels which are different than any you can find in Mtl. They are 3x the size of regular bagels, not sweet, and have unique flavours. We sampled all 6 flavours (sesame, zaatar, salt, plain, poppy seed, everything) and loved the unique flavours. What is great is that they also have schmears which are delicious, some made with cream cheese, some butter based, and even vegans. My fave was definitely the dill pickle schmear. The concept is simple, you don't spread the schmear in the middle of the bagel, but you rip and dip. Rip a piece of bagel and dip it in the schmear, it is truly satisfying. Cannot wait to try the sweet schmear that are going to be weekend specials! We love the energy at the bagel shop, they have fun, loud music, and the staff just has fun while baking bagels!

Google
Basically bread in the shape of bagels. The texture is nothing to write home about. Saw a short on MTL Stories and had a few friends check it out. The texture is nothing like traditional bagels, the best way to describe it is that it taste and feels like french baguette in the shape of bagels. The spread they sell are somewhat tasteful like the vegan butter but it's still not amazing. After trying this place I will go elsewhere, I prefer the traditional bagel taste and texture. This is too dry and plain like baguette bread. With regular bagels they are tasteful by themselves, with these you need to spread something over it.

Yelp
It's great to have a local bagel place added to our repertoire here in Pointe Saint Charles. It's also nice that bbagels makes their own unique style of bagel. It's not the typical Montreal style. I'd say it somewhat similar to a NY style bagel. The bagels from bbagel are large, a bit crispy on the outside and have more of a bready texture inside. Perfect for bagel sandwiches! Bbagel offers six varieties of bagels, which are always served hot, and five flavours of schmears. We tried the all-dressed, zataar, sesame and salt bagels and the dill and honey garlic jalapeño schmears. Everything was really tasty! My only word of caution is to watch out for the schmear upsell. When we placed our order for 6 bagels the guy said "that comes with two schmears". However, after leaving the shop I looked at my receipt and saw that I had been charged an additional $3.75 for each of the schmears. They're a new place and I won't hold that against them this time. Overall I enjoyed the bagels they were tasty and it's nice to have a change to the traditional Montreal style bagel every now and then. Although I think that Montreal style is still my favourite. The schmears were good, but not a necessary addition to the bagels, cream cheese, butter, sliced cheese or sandwich toppings will all be great on these bagels too.

Yelp
I was on my way to get coffee and passed by this place, it smelled so amazing I decided to stop in and try. The bagels were fresh and the service was excellent. You have to buy a minimum of 3 bagels and a schmear, the schmear was sooo delicious definitely one of the best i've ever had. The bagels were yummy too! My favorite was the zaatar bagel. Priced well too, much better than fairmount imo.
