"BBCM, an all-day cafe, was named in a lawsuit against the University of Southern California and has now closed. The cafe alleged it was deceived by USC, which failed to deliver on promises, including the use of USCards. BBCM closed at the end of August, shortly after the lawsuit news became public." - Farley Elliott

The food was great! The coffee was good too. We came for the colorburst latte and the barista was very careful in trying not to mess up the artwork on top when bringing it over. It was impressive but didnt absolutely blow me away. Solid breakfast/brunch spot

Cute place to relax and enjoy morning coffee. I had the scrambled egg with house potatoes for breakfast!!!

As an “SC alum I was happy to visit the campus and everything that is new there. Ecstatic to see the new University Village! And even more excited to see a BBCM there! Love the one on Sunset. This location did not disappoint! I love the grab and go concept! I wish we had this back in ‘93. Had the Benedict pizza. Incredible! And as a coffee lover, it is so awesome that they roast their own beans on site! I highly recommend stopping in for a bite and some coffee and enjoy them on the patio underneath the old olive trees!! I can’t wait for football season. I’ll definitely be stopping by to grab a bite! ✌🏽✌🏽FIGHT ON!!

Really, really delicious tarts and baked goods. Top notch, better than another bakery cafe in the village. I also really enjoy their sandwiches, tuna melt is my favorite, and they come with a small salad or kale apple slaw. Delicious. One thing is their to-go can take a little while, especially during peak hours, so plan accordingly for your schedule.

Nice setting and we'll decorated. The food is really fresh as everything is made from scratch to order. There is really only one dish that is specifically vegan, but it is there. It's a grains bowl. The flavors were a little bland, but that's also nice considering most food these days is covered in salt or ready-made seasonings. This is pretty much in the heart of USC, so the crowd is obviously mostly college age. Sitting outside brings back college flashbacks. There are cocktails and beer available. Nice overall. The turnaround for food is a little slow but again that's because it is made to order. The food is a little pricey given it caters to college students, but this is USC, so that doesn't really matter😉

Super slow service and expensive. Waited over 55 min for a pizza that never arrived. I had to cancel the order and get a refund because I could not wait any longer. Also ordered a slice of cake which was given quickly, but the person who served it had his fingers literally all over it. Trying to stand it up on the plate. Really? Let the thing lay down on the plate rather that put your ungloved dirty hands all over my food. Will not return.

The moment you go in you understand it's a different sort of place. Part bakery, part coffee shop, part deli and part bar. The staff is very friendly always ready to help, attentive and always busy. The atmosphere is really nice and on the weekends the grind coffee with an industry grinder, the scent of roasted coffee beans wafts all around the building.

I give it a four for the atmosphere because it is the perfect study place. I also really loved the green tea latte! Not going to lie also because of the bar. I still feel it’s not 5 just because I do not feel that the food is reasonably priced.
