Google
A great new spot in K-Town featuring Korean fried chicken. Confirmed with the staff that boneless chicken and the half chicken is halal. Got take out with the honey garlic boneless fried chicken and it was 💯. It got a big soggy by the time we got home but it’s fair because it took us a while on the road. Big portions at a fair value. The girl behind the counter was super sweet to double check with the kitchen on the halal question. I’d highly recommend and next time if much rather dine in and enjoy the meal.

Google
Absolutely a fantastic and convenient spot to grab some Korean fried chicken without the usual wait times! There’s a whole wall of already-cooked chicken with various flavors ready to go. I tried the honey garlic, and it was delicious – the chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, exactly what you’d expect from authentic Korean-style fried chicken. I’m definitely coming back soon to try more flavors!

My friends and I go here all the time before a concert or just when we wanna eat good. Amazing atmosphere, chill, dim lighting, and good music. We always get the combo, def our go to spot.

Firstly the wings of fire was an absolute divine. For the first time something that was mentioned spicy was actually spicy. Loll, the rice tasted good too. The mango lemonade tasted tropical (felt like I was at the beach). If you are craving for something spicy yet delicious you should definitely try the wings of fire

On September 20, I placed an order via Seamless. I got the tteokbokki which is only about a 6 ounce cup with a side of white rice (also in a cup). There were about 10 rice cakes and 3-4 small pieces of fish cake. I would definitely not order this specific dish from this location as they have limited options via the Seamless. Although it tasted okay, the portions are definitely NOT worth the price that I paid.

We tried BBQ Olive Chicken and had an amazing experience. We ordered the boneless original chicken, and it was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful, with a delightful barbecue sauce that complemented it perfectly. The combination of tender meat and delicious seasoning made it a standout meal.

Google
The best korean fried chicken in ktown, all chicken are in boxes from wings, drumsticks and boneless with different flavors, all freshly cook and piping hot Got the honey garlic boneless chicken, tasted divine.they had few tables for dine in customers too. Except cashier staff are not so friendly/approachable.

Google
Never disappoint me 😍 Korean BBQ fried chicken 🥰 I've came here more than three times, tried just about every flavor of bbq fried chicken (though I know the menu is more extensive). I would say that the value for money is very fair👌 Also, I have only bought take-out because I don't have friends to eat inside 😭🤣 I recommend this place 100%. They accept payments in Cash, Debit/Credit Card and Contactless payments.

Yelp
BBQ chicken is my favorite fried chicken chain restaurant. I personally like original golden crispy with extra cheese sauce. It's crispy and not overly dry. They also have a 5% off on yelp as well. Interiors is spacious but I never dine in. I always do take out and share with my families. Nice and warm place. Another I like about this place is their grab n go fried chicken display. It's so convenient and I don't need to wait. Time saver.

Yelp
Pretty good spot for a late night meal in KTown with a group of friends! They have booths and long seats that fit groups well, as well as more seating downstairs. Still, seating can be a bit sparse during busy weekend nights. There's a good selection of fried chickens and various flavors to choose from. I've been a couple times and like to get a variety that you can share with friends. I also highly recommend getting some sides (kimchi, pickled radish) and sauces to help vary up and cut through the fattiness of the fried chicken. The chicken and beer feel fairly priced for NYC, and it's definitely a staple I'll probably visit again!

Yelp
bb.q Chicken in New York's Ktown is a great pick and go spot for your Korean fried chicken with a number of flavors available beyond and including the traditional soy garlic. The to-go chicken is on your immediate left as you walk in, followed by the daikon, slaw, and corn salad, and drinks. You can eat downstairs in the basement of this location if you desire waited-service and beer on the spot with fresh, made to order chicken. I would recommend going downstairs with waited service to see what bb.q Chicken can do freshly made to order. The flavors and crispiness would doubtlessly be optimized and would surely improve my review here. Having been a connoisseur of the traditional Korean wings, these wings and chicken may strike you as having too much batter in the coating and on the sweet side if you lean traditional. The Golden Original here at bb.q Chicken would be the answer if you don't want it too sweet and you desire it stripped down to plain fried chicken. The Secret Sauce is tangy and sticky sweet, but the thick coating of the batter takes over and masks the chicken; though, I can see a person unfamiliar with traditional Korean wings will find Secret Sauce quite appealing. The Soy Garlic is the closest to the traditional Korean chicken wings and I naturally found it the most appealing. The regular soy garlic is very mild and would be acceptable to almost any palate. I don't know how many spice levels are available here, but I know traditional wings can become very fiery in a hurry. The regular soy garlic wings here will be the most appealing to the traditional connoisseur, but will strike you as not having the flavor to which you may be accustomed. Perhaps this is attributed to taking it home, instead of eating it on premises. The daikon was fresh and leaned slightly to the sweet side. The corn salad was good and the sweetness of the corn stood on its own, with a little contrast offered by the diced onions. The price points for the chicken is on the high side at $16 per box. The boxes of half chicken contain six pieces and the boxes of wings have eight pieces. bb.q Chicken has a very commercially attractive feel to it and they have hundreds of locations in many countries in their chain. bb.q Chicken is doing brisk business, regardless of what I may write here. bb.q Chicken offers a great experience for people and it is clean and well stocked with chicken. Three stars!

Yelp
If ur looking for some quick delicious korean bbq chicken, you're at the right place! Everything we got here was delicious! Especially their chicken wings, crispy, juicy and very flavorful! My only wish is that they were closer to me so I can always enjoy their food! If u like kimchi fried rice they have it here too, my favorite side dish for my fried wings :p

Sofyan S.

Yelp
Food (4/5): Got the half and half boneless chicken with the flavors being original and honey garlic. It also came with sides where we selected white rice and corn salad. The original chicken was crispy and delicious while the honey garlic had nice flavors and sauce. Service (3/5): Most of the service is automated through your phone. You put the order through the phone and put a hold using your card. The sides came our relatively fast but the chicken took over 15 minutes. Ambiance (4/5): We ate in the service part of the restaurant which is downstairs. It's a cool ambiance for a basement with music, light decorations and plenty of seats.

Yelp
I thought the food was okay. Some of it felt overcooked or underseasoned. I enjoy the concept and vibes of the places, but it's definitely a place for a quick bite rather than a nice sit down place. Everyone who worked there was nice and got people through the line quickly and efficiently. I'd go back but it's not something I'd necessarily crave

Taylor Z.

Yelp
Pretty solid fried chicken place. really moist and the crispy was really good. Good for late night.

Saha S.

Yelp
I came here while in the city for a late lunch/early dinner and overall the food here was ok. They have different flavors of fried chicken and some other things like bibimbap and kimchee fried rice. I got the kimchee fried rice since I wanted something vegetarian, but it actually has chicken in it, which they should really do a better job at advertising. I also had the mango lemonade, and it tasted kind of watered down (others I was with who got other drinks all agreed). All of the food is premade and you select what you want, so the food is warm, but isn't exactly fresh cooked or crispy. I also tried some of the rice balls and they tasted bland since they barely had any filling in them.

Emily B.

Yelp
Went here with my friend and our chopsticks were insanely moldy. Also, the chicken felt cold, plain, and worse than frozen chicken you can buy at trader joe's. I didn't love how they weirdly just include scrambled eggs as a side in some of their dishes. The atmosphere is plain and checkout process is fine. They have a variety of interesting beverages. I just didn't like the food and although cheap(ish) for NYC it wasn't worth it... The chopsticks grossed me out a lot too

Joan L.

Yelp
Super crunchy and super tasty fried chicken!!! I can only imagine how much better these must taste when eaten fresh but I was in town with the St Patrick's day parade going on so I got these to go... an hour later at home, they traveled well - packed in their cardboard boxes and the flavors were really wonderful to the palate!

Gloria X.

Yelp
Decent grab and go Korean fried chicken. I wish the flavorings were a little stronger. The wings of fire flavor was pretty spicy. One box is enough for a robust lunch, or for two people to share as a big snack.

Henry Y.

Yelp
We just had the teriyaki chicken and it was decent . Nothing special but we needed a little more food for the night and it hit the spot. I like that it was premade in this case. Price and portion was reasonable

Alan B.

Yelp
Based on several good and bad reviews it seemed like a coin flip what to expect. I ordered the fried half Korean chicken with "secret" sauce for delivery. To my surprise, it was throughly delicious. The sticky crust is a delicious combo of sweet and hot spicy flavor covering large pieces of juicy chicken underneath. The cole slaw was a bit too creamy for my taste but who cares when you have such perfectly prepared and promptly delivered chicken at a modest price.

Nicole E.

Yelp
Ordered a hot spicy chicken, boneless. Decided Not to get the tteokbokki, since I have yet to find a good one at a fried chicken place. Cost was $18. The delivery rider is coming by bike. That does seem to be the easier than driving around here . The chicken is sparse as far as sauce goes, it's got good heat at least, but extra sauce would be nice. The chicken is tender, but not the leanest.

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
I went out with my friend for memorial and he introduced me to this place in the city when I walked in there was loads of chicken buckets waiting for us to just grab them! So we choose the soy garlic wings and the soy garlic chicken nuggets and also the flavor called Galbi then we got some lemonades to go service was quick and fast and the place was a nice little vibe in there they had tables in the back where you can eat nice and spacious. When it came down to the chicken omg I love every bite each bite was so crispy and packed with flavor I woke up this morning dreaming about soy garlic wings I need to go back there asap ! Definitely recommend if your a fried chicken lover

Jess Z.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite and reliable places to order Korean fried chicken. There are multiple flavors to choose from, spicy, sweet, salty or plain. I like that they also have other varieties of Korean food to order as well like rice cakes, kimchi fried rice and more. The only thing I was upset about was that the radish sides do not come complementary with the fried chicken. I personally think that BBQ Chicken is way better than BonChon so if you like bonchon you definitely need to try the Korean fried chicken here!

Jia-Lian L.

Yelp
I used to love this place and i don't know what happened. Everytime I get it upstairs and get the ready to go chicken boxes, it's never fresh. Maybe I am just unlucky. It used to be my favorite Korean fried chicken spot but unfortunately those times have passed. I went downstairs to get it fresh and I still received cold, chewy pieces. I believe it used to taste more tender and fresh. I asked for a replacement and it was a lot better and fresher but it still couldn't capture the taste I used to get from there. Ive tried almost all of the flavors at this point and I still love Korean fried chicken but I think I'd rather go to peeps in Williamsburg instead.

Karan L.

Yelp
Honestly, my favorite place to go to in NYC for Korean Fried Chicken. They have such a wide selection of flavors all of which are hot crispy and fresh. Each bite is quite favorable and addicting, and I find myself keep coming back here. They have two different areas, a grab and go counter, with a self-serve eating area and also a dine in area only open after 4pm with chicken and beer. The dine-in area can often have a semi-long wait and can get crowded, so keep that in mind. They provide sides with the chicken, serve you, and provide liquor but the quality of chicken is the exact same as the grab and go section in my opinion. It can get loud and rowdy in the basement, but overall a great time either way. The service is super nice but is quite strict on their rules. The grab and go-area has plenty of seating space and is less crowded. If I could come here for lunch everyday, I might do so (not the healthiest meal tho). The chicken is quite filling, and is wayy too much for one person. There are always left overs. Also love how the chicken comes both boneless and boned for your mood/liking.

Yelp
I have been locations throughtout US and even internationally. I was not at all impressed by this location. The food was lacking in flavour and taste. The temperature was cold. It must be a manhattan thing to grab and go. I eent to order as i do other locations was told i had get from heated rack area. The chicken did not have that crispiness i am used to. The skin was limp like sitting to long. I pass on this location in future

Neil M.

Yelp
Tried the Gangjeong boneless chicken with some rice, kimchi and pickled radish. My colleague swears by this place and I can see why. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the perfect amount of spice I was craving at the time. We split a box of boneless chicken which also makes it super reasonable. Would come here again for lunch.

Lonnie K.

Yelp
It has always been one of the most popular plus my favorite self-serve spot to get some delicious Korean Fried Chicken in all of K-Town. I have been coming to this place ever since college days and just whenever I would need a quick chicken fix by myself or with a group of friends. Even though I've been coming to this spot for so many years now, this is actually my first time remembering to write down my experience after munching down a whole box of chicken, kimchi rice and a serving of corn salad on the side as the banchan. I kinda did underestimate myself if I will be able to eat all that food in one setting. However, I did indeed end up chowing down everything after an hour of sitting down at one of the empty tables meant for two people. I'm usually greeted with the delicious whiff of Korean Fried Chicken as soon as stepping foot inside the warm store. It is a self-service/self-counter kind of place that people can just grab whatever they're gonna buy whether boneless fried chicken, side dishes, tub of white rice, triangular kimbap (samgak kimbap), bibimbap, so deok kim (skewer of rice cake & smoked sausage slices), different variety of rice bowls, kimbap rolls, tteobokki (spicy rice cakes), chicken wings, and/or drinks ranging from bottled water to different kinds of canned soda. *On a side note, feel free to go downstairs if you want to get the whole dine-in experience plus the choice of soju, beer and fries on the menu served with your fried chicken! You would typically line up one after the other with the tray of goodies you're gonna munch down in just a few seconds. They accept major credit/debit cards plus cash as form of payment. You gather all your stuff and try to find an empty table so you can sit down, relax, and enjoy your meal. First, I decide to open the box of gangjeong chicken and pick up a piece with my chopsticks in order to inspect the fat and meat before popping it into my mouth. My only complaint is that they can go a little less heavy on the gangjeong sauce. Because of the sauce, the chicken is hOther than that, I think it's pretty scrumptious for the most part.

Yelp
First impression: Korean fast food & cider for the win I highly recommend the peach cider and the blueberry rice beer. The Korean chicken is amazing. I ordered a fish triangle bite That tasted nice with a sauce I bought as well. I took the vegetable bowl to go. The peach cider was refreshing and had the right amount of sweetness. The rice beer you have to shake gently because of the thickness of the smooth "rice pulp" - all i can say it was an experience that I enjoyed. If you are a texture person you may not like it. The crispy chicken was heavenly and packed with flavor (i had 3 bites of my sister's). These 3 were the best items on the menu. I wish the tuna mayo triangle was more flavorful like with fish flakes or chilli sauce. In regards to the ambience, I would say it felt a bit like a cafeteria that has premade food that you pick and bring it to the cash register and then eat. So it's a self-serve experience. The staff were great they helped me pick things that were vegetarian and fish based. I look forward to being able to eat chicken fully in a month so I can come back.

Sofia L.

Yelp
very fast service and easy place to pick up food. their boxes held quite a good amount of wings, so I would say they're priced pretty reasonably. we got the soy garlic bone-in and galbi boneless. parents loved the soy garlic but I wasn't wowed by the galbi flavor. tasted a little artificial, and far too much breading. wished they had plates or bowls to offer to people who were dining in. workers didn't offer many solutions to us wanting to share as a family and it was difficult to share the rice or place leftover bones bc we didn't have our own plates.

Katelyn N.

Yelp
Quick and EASY spot for a quick bite. Pretty tasty, no complaints. Tteokbokki and wings were fire and onigiri was also warm and delicious. Easy to grab and go, nice place to go to with a big group for a quick bite.

Rosanna N.

Yelp
The food here is quick and very tasty for the price and how much food you get. This place is great for a quick bite to eat. 1. Secret Sauce Boneless: Sauce is good and not too spicy unlike hot spicy wings 2. Hot Spicy Boneless: This tastes very similar to buldak noodles and I like it, but they do have a kick to them 3. Soy Garlic Boneless: bb.q Chicken does the classic soy garlic flavors well The other flavors are good but those are definitely my top three. I enjoyed their other rice dishes and the rice cakes but the chicken is definitely still my favorite thing there. They also have a lot of seating indoors and there is a bar/ restaurant downstairs if you want to eat chicken and beer. The food downstairs is still pretty good and there is additional seating. Would recommend trying this place if you want a quick meal and are in the area.

Justin T.

Yelp
We came here on a whim since everything else at Ktown was either closed at the time or had a long wait. I'm glad we got to try out BBQ Chicken because it was pretty good! We got a pack of soy garlic wings, a side of rice, and a side of radish, as well as the Gochujang Galbi Triangular Kimbap. I really enjoyed the wings and thought it was solid for what it was. I didn't really like the Triangular kimbap, and I would skip that if I were to come next time. After we paid, we found out that there wasn't any tables available (since you seat yourself), but everything is packaged pretty well for a to-go meal. I would definitely recommend this place if you're craving Korean fried chicken and need a quick and easy meal.

Oscar L.

Yelp
This place has pretty good chicken, but wouldn't say it's the best. It's not as flavorful as other places and there's not as much sauce. Regarding the layout, you have to walk downstairs for seating area. Service was great, however. They always made sure my water was full and the food came out pretty quickly.

Jen T.

Yelp
This place is soo nice. Our cousin took us here. We went downstairs for food and drinks. It was really a great experience. I wish this type of location was in Las Vegas. You can't beat NY Ktown. Will need to visit again

Catherine D.

Yelp
I didn't expect it to be already made and to grab so it was fast cause there was no line. I was skeptical at first cause of it being made just sitting there in a heat box but never judge until you try it. It was so delicious the corn the chicken wow. I will come back for sure when I New York because it was fast and very good.

Shameela N.

Yelp
Korea town in New York is everything!!! Was hungry had to stop over for something quick to grab and go. Glad I stopped by BB*Q Chicken. In the busy K-Town when you enter their location they made it easier for their customers to select ready made to go meals and self service then to proceed to check out by the staff. They had various boxes of wings and option for boneless wings also but I choose their Cajun Chicken bowl because it looked fire and had big portion that you can share! The bowl included good amount of white rice, side of Korean style scrambled eggs, two pickles, and cajun chicken drizzled in white sauce-I also got the passion fruit green tea iced was perfect not overly sweet and didn't have to wait long . Hopefully next time they have option for spicy level.

Eliana T.

Yelp
BBQ chicken is one of my fav fried chicken restaurant I always go to. They have a wide variety of flavors. I always got the golden half chicken, original flavor. The chicken is juicy and not dried. The skin is crispy and flavorful. I think I'll never get sick of their chicken. Also I found that yelp has a 5% off special offer. Not a bad deal.

Shengyu G.

Yelp
If you like fried chicken and a quick meal, this is the place to go! It's located in the middle of busy K-town. All the food is placed in the shelf for customers to self serve. There are different types of fried chicken, rice bowls and kimbap (more like Japanese Onigiri). The price is affordable. Each rice bowl is about $9.50 and the fried half chicken is $15 (5 pieces). One thing I don't like is the rice being too soggy. The ambiance is pretty casual. Everything is organized. If you want to be seated during busy hours, staff will give you a beeper to wait until some table is available. Good choice for a quick meal!

Miranda F.

Yelp
I this place. Whenever I want a huge cheat meal, this is often the top of my list. Korean Fried Chicken with tons of unique flavors. They have seasonal flavors as well, which always keeps things interesting. There's almost always a short line to be seated for table service downstairs, but it goes quickly. The major perk, though, is their grab & go options. You can get a huge portion of wings in a number of different flavors for approximately 15 bucks, can't beat it! There's also tons of seating upstairs if you prefer the self service option and want to eat your wings on premise.

Melissa L.

Yelp
bb.q Chicken makes some pretty darned good KFC. The chicken isn't greasy and they have a good variety of flavors. This location is 2 stories, with the downstairs location for eating in with bar service. Upstairs there are tables for folks that pick up food and wish to eat it there. When you first walk in there are warming ovens with varieties of bone-in and boneless wings in a variety of savory and spicy flavors. They also have bibimbap, tteokbokki, cooked rice and some sides. In the refrigerated section they have drinks, salads, sauces, onigiri/kimbap and kimchi. The portion sizes of the chicken can easily feed 2 to 3 people, depending on the level of hunger of each individual. The food is replenished often. My favorite is the plain chicken wings. This one also seems to be quite popular as it often runs low or runs out. For a cheap and cheerful spot with some well made Korean fried chicken, this place hits the spot. The prices are reasonable and the food is fresh and delicious.

Emilia V.

Yelp
Este es un gran lugar para probar el pollo frito coreano, con una variedad de sabores para elegir además del tradicional pollo frito picante. vale la pena intentarlo

Theressa W.

Yelp
I first tried bbq chicken in Philadelphia and really enjoyed the wings. I was excited to see they expanded into NYC. I get my lashes done across the street from this location and picked up some wings on my way home. This location is grab n go so the service is minimal. The seating is ample but average. I got the original spicy wings they were good and for approx. 8 pieces I spent $16. All the wings are pre-packaged and kept warm. While I was there they restocked often. The wings are fresh and good but sides like pickled radish and sauce are a la carte. Also note you can't mix orders like you can at non- grab and go locations. Your only option is to purchase 2 different flavors. $32 for approx 16 wings is pretty steep.

Erika T.

Yelp
Amazingly crispy Korean fried chicken. We ordered the original and honey garlic, and I liked both of them. The honey garlic was definitely very sweet and might be too sweet for some people, but I think it was balanced out by the fries, rice, and rose tteokbokki that we also ordered. In my opinion, the best thing about this place is how piping hot and crunchy the chicken is when it comes out. We dined in the restaurant below the takeout and I am knocking off a star because the service was quite slow. After giving us a wrong order mistakenly, we had to wait a while before one of the waiters even noticed us raising our hands to point out the wrong order. I also had to get up by myself a couple of times to refill water using the pitchers that they left out in the open in the middle. It wasn't too big of a deal though, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The ambiance also feels like a hip, dark spot.

April L.

Yelp
Convenient spot to get Korean fried chicken! They have a bunch of different Korean fried chicken flavors out that you can just get and pay for. There is also a restaurant and sit down dining area if you walk down the stairs. Downstairs serves essentially the same food but with sides like fries and coleslaw, etc and they also have drinks downstairs. I'm always a big fan of the grab and go though and service is quick!

Cee E.

Yelp
Everyone knows I LOVE bb.q. I fell in love from the moment I tried them in Fort Lee. This was my first time trying the nyc location and I must say, it was quite a different experience. I ordered the soy garlic wings (my usual). The first thing I noticed was that they don't do different sizes. They only have one standard size which includes about ten wings. The order comes with rice, but it does not come with radishes like I'm used to. When I arrived to pick up my order at the store, I noticed that they had a refrigerated section with wings boxed and ready to go. It looked like a really convenient idea, especially since they have a microwave right in the store. Perfect for a quick lunch if you're short on time. I would hope that they probably make them pretty fresh too so you're not getting old chicken. Overall, thought the chicken here was solid but I think the Fort Lee chicken is slightly better. I like the cut of chicken they use better and their batter is more crispy. I would still come here again though over other k chicken places in the area (other than turntable chicken, my other fave).

Yelp
I wondered what the hype was about when it came to Korean fried chicken, my hotel was around the corner, so I decided to stroll to Koreaway and I AM SO GLAD I DID. So many restaurants to choose from, but this day I stopped at bb.q Chicken. I did a yelp search and this kept popping up, so I decided to try it out. When you walk in, there is a glass display case of hot food for you to pick from, this place is self serve with the option to sit down in the establishment. I picked crispy spicy chicken and honestly my expectations were low since it reminded me of gas station chicken set up. I paid for my order, I decided to only get chicken this go round, since that was the "going thing". I made it back to my room and was ready to dig in. I was expecting wet and soggy, but to my surprise, the wings were hot, crispy, spicy, and GOOD! I was shocked that this " gas station" set up could produce this kind of flavor. I am of fan of KFC hot wings and their spicy chicken, this was a bit spicer, made my nose run a bit and caught me off guard with the spice, but I was in love. I told my family and friends back home, believe the hype that you hear about Korean fried chicken, because this little place was a great choice for a quick bite to eat. I mean it is just chicken, but that spicy chicken I can't get back home, so this was excellent. Even the next day when I took it out the fridge to eat, my feet still did a happy dance. I will return for my chicken fix and I preferred this chicken over a " soul food" restaurant around NYC that was recommended and fell short, but this place was the chicken fix I needed for the day. If you haven't been, CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!

Yelp
I usually just get their chicken to go. I have been here a number of times, but I did not even know their restaurant was downstairs. This time, I came with my group of friends. We ordered almost every flavor they had available for the chicken. They are all very good, but we were not fans of the bulgogi flavor. It was tricking your mind to think that you are eating beef, but not. Perhaps it was that fake meat essence that made me feel like I was eating dog food (just me. And yes, I do know what certain dog foods tastes like because why would I give my pups anything a human cannot consume right?) We would not be ordering that specific flavor again but everything else was really great. Original is my preferred, and with the rosé tteokbokki, it is heaven. The rosé tteokbokki is a must order. The creamy sauce is perfect with all the fry chicken you are getting. It is too bad I do not frequent the area anymore. I do get cravings for it once a while. I wished they could open a chain near me or something

Yelp
Authentic Korean Fried Chicken coming from someone who has eaten it in Seoul! The restaurant part is located downstairs and there was no wait for a party of 4 for dinner. It's a chicken and beer spot so the ambiance is darker and more casual. We started out with some sides - corn and cole slaw. Both were great, nothing out of the ordinary. For the chicken, we got the soy garlic flavor and hot spicy boneless combo. The soy garlic (favorite) was delicious - packed with a garlicky umami flavor with a generous amount of sauce. The hot spicy was also good but it got a bit too spicy for me to enjoy the flavors. Of course the fries were crispy and tasted even better when dipped in the soy garlic sauce. I would come back if ever in Ktown!

Yelp
This is my go-to take out Korean fried chicken place in Ktown. The skin is so crispy and the meat is juicy. I usually get the half chicken and the honey garlic chicken wings. You can eat your food there. They have seatings in the back for after your grab and pay for your food. They also have a restaurant downstairs if you want the sit down service dining experience. I usually bring it home to queens. One time someone on the train asked me what smelled so good.

Yelp
The foods are fresh, they restock items quickly! Remember to check in at Yelp to get 5% off! The staffs were friendly. There's lots of places to sit and enjoy your meal with clear dividers for COVID-19 precautions. We ate vegetable bibimbap, boneless Galbi and Soy Garlic boneless. Vegetable bibimbap: it's delicious but a little spicy Galbi boneless: it's very crunchy and fresh Soy Garlic boneless: I recommend getting, sweet and crunchy Next time, remember to check in and claim the 5% discount!

Yelp
The KoFC is sort of hit or miss in our experience, sometimes tough as shoe leather, sometimes moist, juicy, and one of the best food items you can find in the city in the $14 range. Although KoFC is not something I really get excited about or want to eat frequently, our oldest human progeny seems to be in a phase, so we've gotten the grab and go boxes a few times. Verdict: the un-sauced versions are best if you have to travel. You can kind of resuscitate any version in a convection oven or air fryer, but the ones with sauce burn very fast. They all release an ungodly amount of oil. The real reason why I keep coming back: the "triangle kimbap", aka "omusubi" aka "onigiri" aka "rice balls". We are huge fans of onigiri. We make them at home, pack them for ski practice and hikes, eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pricing for omusubi is a head scratcher at many places. When we make them at home, we make them with premium ingredients, the highest grade of sushi rice, nori, furikake, sesame seeds, fillings -- and they are not a fraction of the cost of (badly prepared) onigiri at many establishments in the city. Bb.q chicken has decent onigiri for $2.99 a pop, which is IMHO reasonable. They use the standard, smart packaging, which keeps nori and rice separate until you're ready to eat. I haven't had a sit down meal here and it may just well be phenomenal. But it's definitely a good place to have in rotation for takeout when it's too hectic to cook!

Yelp
Flavors were good, chicken is tender, and concept is great. There is seating, so that's a plus. Staff is friendly. Who wants mushy BBQ chicken though? Gag, nope, wouldn't return. You arrive and select your chicken in prepackaged boxes based on flavors, grab your sides and drinks and then pay and either take to go or wait for a table. Not sure if it was luck of the draw and we picked old chicken or because we had to wait 10 minutes for a table, but all the breading on our wings were complete mush. Really wanted to like this and goes down in the annals as the worst dining we had during our week in NYC.

Yelp
I was quite disappointed with the food. The boneless chicken was tough. Service was fine. The basement dine-in area was poorly ventilated and it got really warm. The coleslaw and corn salad were mediocre and overly sweet.

Yelp
Ate here after watching some youtube videos and it was pretty satisfying. I like how it was a grab and go type of set up. We got some wings and a bowl, paid, and found a placed to sit. The chicken was crunchy and flavorful. The bowl was a bit of a let down as it tasted pretty basic. Next time, I'd definitely have to try something more spicy. I bet those flavors were better.
