Yelp
Located at the Traville Village Shopping Center across from Cava Mezze, BBQ Chicken & Beer occupies the previous Quench spot. From the name, you'll think they serve traditional barbecue chicken. However, BBQ means Best of the Best Quality. Besides Korean fried chicken (whole, half, wings, boneless), they serve ramen, rice bowls, sandwiches, and various appetizers/sides.
Came on a Friday evening and was surprised to find the restaurant empty. While we were there, patrons came in and out, but mainly to order food to go.
Since we couldn't decide on the type of wing flavor to order, we ended up with a medium order of the wings of fire and a medium order of the Gangnam style wings. Also decided on the bulgogi chicken nachos as an appetizer. The nachos were huge. Definitely good for sharing or as a meal on it's own. The chicken had great flavor to it. Also enjoyed the avocado cream sauce. Out of the two wing flavors ordered, I prefered the wings of fire. I was expecting my mouth to be on fire after eating a wing, but this wasn't the case. The wings were drizzled with the sauce rather than tossed. Would have preferred more sauce for sure to give the wings more heat. The Gangname style wings were just okay. Left an odd aftertaste in my mouth. Don't think I'd order these again. The wings ay BBQ Chicken & Beer were good, but not double fried as I'm used to. Not a bad thing. Just not what I was expecting.
It wss HH when we came, so couldn't resist ordering a cocktail. The rum punch was strong! For $6.50, this drink was definitely a steal.
Service was good and parking was easy to find in the lot behind the restaurant. I plan on returning, especially during their HH (daily 2-6pm).
