The 16 Best Korean Barbecue Restaurants in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"The Jinsol Gukbap team is venturing into the Korean barbecue scene with BBQ Chung Dam, one of the biggest restaurants in Koreatown with over 250 seats. With four distinct all-you-can-eat tiers, there is truly something at every price point – whether that is the all-day special at just under $30 that includes more basic cuts like prime brisket and beef belly, or the $80 wagyu omakase special, which boasts more premium cuts like wagyu ribeye, wagyu otoro, and wagyu short rib. The true value at Chung Dam lies in the restaurant’s expansive self-serve salad bar that offers over 35 sides, including additional cuts of meat like bulgogi and black pork, as well as japchae, fried rice, and kimchi pancakes, and chicken wings. — Cathy Park" - Cathy Park

I've visited this place twice, the first time for my birthday and the second time just to grab a bite to eat and break the routine. The waiters are friendly, the food is incredible, and the side dishes are served buffet-style, which I thought was interesting and a great idea. The flavors are varied, but there's no bad-tasting food. The atmosphere is pleasant, and they play K-pop music. It's a good place to go with family or friends. I would recommend the place and I would go back again. I thank the staff because they made my first visit pleasant and it continues to be pleasant on my second visit.

Google
This place is fantastic. I love that its a pan not a straight grill because the foodndoesnt getvthat smokey taste and u get a more seared taste I loved it. The price is wonderful because it is affordable great for the most popular regular meats you dont find around and if you do they are not well kept restaurants. This restaurant was beautiful everything was clean and in great condition. The staff was nice , friendly and very attentive. The meats were high quality premium meats so delicious and tender. Salad bar available with hot meals and fruits aswell.

Google
We came here for thanksgiving 2025, last time I was here, it was under a different name, they’ve remodeled the inside it looks nicer now. The atmosphere is a lot better, There are different level of food you can order where they bring you the meat you choose to grill and they have a section where cooked foods are available (chicken wings, potatoes beef ribs, fried rice, noodles, salads, etc…) Service is friendly and attentive. The dining area is kept clean and presentable. They kept replacing the grill When we asked for the check, we noticed a line where you add a tip amount, but a service charge was included, when we asked the waiter what the service charge was for, he told us that it was a 18% gratuity automatically added to any party over 2 , the menu fine print said that single diner will be charged $10.99 service fee. Kinda sneaky of them to add a separate tip line in case you don’t pay attention to the bill, and add a tip There is well lighted parking lot, with valet parking ($3.00)

R M.

Google
Service is topnotch. Walked in for dinner on a Thursday night and got the $25.99 all day special. It was enough for the 2 of us. Salad bar included. Note that Service charge is included on the bill. Would definitely go again.

If you’re craving Korean BBQ in L.A. and want real value without compromising quality, BBQ Chung Dam in Koreatown is worth checking out. From start to finish, this place delivers. Selection & value — Their tiered all-you-can-eat menus give you a lot of choice depending on how much you want to spend. For a moderate price you get a strong selection of meats, and if you step up to the premium tiers you can enjoy wagyu cuts too. For what you’re getting, the value is solid. Side dish bar & extras — One of the stand-outs here is their self-serve bar with sides. There are plenty of items beyond just the typical banchan: you’ll find marinated meats at the cold bar, fried and cooked items, salads, fresh fruit. It adds another layer of enjoyment and makes the experience feel generous. Service — The staff at BBQ Chung Dam get good marks for being attentive. They grill the meats, help you pick what to try, make sure things run smoothly. That kind of service elevates the experience beyond just “let’s cook our own meat and hope for the best.” Final thoughts — If you go with an open appetite, plan to enjoy a full experience, and don’t mind the AYCE format, this is one of the stronger Korean BBQ options in Koreatown. The set price gives you access to a very respectable meat selection + excellent side bar + good service. For group dinners or a night out with friends/family, BBQ Chung Dam hits the right notes.

Everything was great. Variety of meats. Staff are very intentive and reachable even though the restaurant is big

Google
We went for the $19.99 Happy Hour lunch. Probably an introductory price but they have other pricing levels with more options. Ours only had (4) options BUT had full access to the Salad Bar and Raw Bar. Those offered a wealth of selections that you would normally wait for at other AYCE KBBQ places. Be aware that service requires at least 2 people and all party members must agree to the same service level, which makes sense. Also, an automatic 18% gratuity is added to the bill. There is valet parking in a small lot, or street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. I would visit again. Left quite full and sated.

Google
BBQ Chung Dam has an amazing selection of meats, with the excellent addition of a "salad" bar that also has other cuts that you can grab at your own convenience. There are 4 price tiers, ranging from $28.88 for all day menu, all the way to $78.88 for the most premium selection of meat cuts, including Wagyu. The server was always attentive, on top of things, and changing our grill regularly, and he even treated us to three (one for each one of us) nice, small portions of free vanilla ice cream when he brought the check (at no cost!). That was a very nice touch that can go a long way with leaving a lasting impression with customers, at almost no additional overhead cost to restaurants themselves. There is also valet parking for the mega convenient price of 3 bucks and you can even use Venmo to pay if you don't have cash on you. Overall a solid experience right in the heart of KTown, where the competition in terms of KBBQ places is quite fierce. Despite all that, this place stood out to me as one of the best options.

Allin L.

Yelp
Love that from the moment we walk in, the service was *incredibly* fast and attentive. Aaron and Jackie took care of us the whole time and were friendly, efficient, and made sure everything was constantly refreshed--sides, sauces, and especially the meat! Speaking of the meat--top quality. Every cut we tried was fresh, well-marbled, and full of flavor. You can really taste the difference in quality here compared to other spots. The brisket and beef belly were but honestly, everything was delicious. The place was clean, well-organized, and had a great vibe. Whether you're a seasoned KBBQ lover or new to the experience, this place nails it. Fast service, great meat, and a team that actually cares about your dining experience. Will 100% be coming back, can't recommend this place enough!

Maricris S.

Yelp
Great selection of sides, nice ambience, and quality meats for a reasonable price! I especially loved my steamed egg. Our server Aaron was very accommodating and kind. Really enjoyed this place!

Char B.

Yelp
its ok-- the beef belly and top blade is good. the rest of the meat was ok and the side dishes were ok. me and my friends got the C 34.99 lunch. when we got the bill we were given a service charge and also recomended to tip. the service charge is kinda misleading, i wish it was more clear

Yelp
Listen here, partner. Ive been to a-many kbbq joints in this city. Korean food in general is darn tootin' amazing. But Ching Dam never disappoints, the servers are always on a good one (like in a good way, calm down), food is delicious (yes even the rice cakes and braised beef ribs, boy), and honestly, parking is great (I dont have to get into sword fights with other hungry patrons), and music is on point. Seriously though, it feels like im hanging out with my korean best friends. Aaron in particular is the friendliest dude, and his excitement over the korea vs Mexico game he is sharing with the whole staff is wholesome As... Heck. Come here.

Yelp
Shout out to Jackie. She's super kind and sweet. Ryan is very attentive too and another one that was helping, I didnt get his name. All staff was very friendly. It was our first time visiting the restaurant. Its was spacious. Perfect for hanging out with large crowd or party. Immediately seated and served with water and Banchan. It was Saturday and we choose the $25 menu. We got 5 orders of brisket and 1 top blade? The service was quick. Then the salad bar, watermelon, melon, lettuce oh well I didnt pay attention on that side. Several marinated bbq, bulgogi, pork belly, spicy something something.. dumpling, egg rolls, chicken wings ( I enjoyed the chicken wings more than the other meat ) also corn cheese. Definitely found a new favorite ayce kbbq spot for my family and friends.
google avatar

Farah C.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite KBBQ in the area. They offer a happy hour special M-Fr from 11:00 am to 4:00pm for only $20.00 a person. Definitely the most affordable price I have seen. The tables are comfortable and there is lots of space. Huge shout out to Eric for providing us with everything we needed. He was kind, attentive and quick! Whenever he saw our grill getting charred he would come by and switch it out for us without having to ask. Thank you!
google avatar

Peggy Q.

Yelp
This is a good place for casual ayce kbbq in ktown. The inside was super spacious and clean. The servers were super attentive and changed the grills often. They also refill sides often as well. I would pass on the items at the buffet bar. Some items were okay but most of them were cold. I got the 24.99 all day special and it was worth it for what you got. I'm a big fan of small and large intestine so I really enjoyed getting both those options on the special menu. Parking was available as well with valet
google avatar

Piyathida R.

Yelp
I usually find Korean BBQ to be on the pricier side, so I decided to try an all-you-can-eat place instead, and I'm so glad I found this spot! The price is very reasonable, and they even have a self-serve bar with a variety of dishes (yes, even 갈비찜 (braised short ribs), which was such a nice surprise). For the meats, I went with the most affordable AYCE option, which still included about six cuts of meat -- plus even more choices at the self bar. Everything was fresh and satisfying. Service was excellent. Jackie, in particular, was amazing, she constantly checked our grill to see if it needed changing, and when she noticed I was almost out of the rice paper wrap, she immediately brought me a new one without me even asking. I was really impressed by her attentiveness. The restaurant itself is huge, with plenty of space. Parking is valet (both day and night), but there's also some street parking available nearby.

Yelp
Lunch Special is from 11 AM to 4 PM. The restaurant has a parking lot, but it is only for valet. ($2 during lunch, and $3 during dinner). They accept Venmo/Cash App payments. There's a decent amount of street parking around the restaurant. It's very spacious inside. They have a self-serve bar which includes some cooked food (tteokbokki, fried chicken, onion rings, churros, etc) and raw meat that you can cook. Then there's a menu that you can order other types of meat. The cooked portion of the self-bar is mainly a miss; the churros were soggy, cooked meats felt like leftovers. The tteokbokki was pretty good. My group ordered the C Combo, which contains a good variety of meat options. I like the honeycomb black pork and beef brisket+belly. Sometimes the servers will cook the food. The woman who was attending us kept telling us that we could eat because the meat was finished and kept urging us to eat, but we were taking our time, so that was a little frustrating. They do add an 18% service charge for 2+ groups. I would say it's a good deal during lunchtime for the quality of the meat and the options they provide. Banchan is not as impressive as other KBBQ places that I've visited, but my friends liked it.

Yelp
Hehe back for seconds! :) came around closing on a Friday night and valet was $3 parking with cash or $4 on Venmo. Plenty of seating inside, clean tables, and spacious. The meat quality was great again (beef tongue, boneless short ribs) and service was attentive and quick! The self serve bar was lacking which is probably because they were closing soon, but had plenty of fresh fruits and sweet watermelon! They also had yummy corn cheese this time.

yuyao t.

Yelp
I got a Happy hour on Wednesday lunch. It was my first time to have Korean bbq and I'm glad I found this place. Meat was delicious and it came quick once ordered. My server was Aaron and he was really professional and made sure every time if I need anything. Place has cool vibe comfy booth seats. 100/100
google avatar

Mariah G.

Yelp
Loved that place had so many different options for AYCE menus. I wish they had drink specials as well but we were satisfied with all the options! They had all the kbbq essentials like corn cheese, rice paper, class noodles and a self serve bar with meats as well as appetizers. Some items tasted better than others. The restaurant is huge and had no TVs. Wish I brought a hair tie cause it was kinda smokey inside. Also had a service charge on my bill even tho there were only 2 of us so thought that was kinda different
google avatar

Kiona V.

Yelp
Pro: The food is good, and the service is top-notch. Con: When we get the bill, we realize why the service is so good. They automatically add an 18% gratuity but label it as a "service fee." This can easily mislead unsuspecting customers who don't read the fine print on the menu, causing them to tip again on the additional "tip" line. I always tip, so I don't mind that it's added automatically, but the way it's labeled and presented. Essentially charging twice. Feels very shady.
google avatar

Genie L.

Yelp
An absurd amount of food to fill our bellies, for sure! Parking is a small lot, valet for $3. This location is huge inside with plenty of seating. The restaurant is clean enough, with cute decor. Staff is kinda friendly, kinda not. Skip the buffet pre-cooked foods, they're not good and really just space fillers. We opted for the premium option and went hammy on all of the premium meats which were delicious. Definitely stick to the premium cuts. The pan chan were good. The strawberry soju tastes like candy.
google avatar

Iris M.

Yelp
Must go for kbbq! Reminds me of Gangnam station but with extra and delicious snackies. The atmosphere is clean and the music is on fire . The decorations feel traditional. Aaron and Jackie were so dedicated and caring . They kept our table clean, asked us what meat we wanted and gave us constant grill changes. What an amazing place. Will definitely be coming back :)

Yelp
Hey friends Checked this place out after passing by it so many times. We came for the Happy Hour which is a bargain at $19.95. M-F 11:00 to 4 . Being a buffet snob, at first I was disappointed. There are different tiers and the sweet meat I came for wasn't included in the happy hour selection. Then we were informed there was what they call their "Salad Bar" it was loaded. Pick your own sweet or spicy meats and a large assortment of appetizers that are better when you warm them on the grill. Our host Aaron was very gracious service wise. The setting is beautiful. The parking is free and plentiful depending on arrival time. It is this reviewer opinion that the "Prime Special" tier at $54.99 would be the best bet. As for as KBBQ goes, I'd rate my experience a "B". It wasn't for me but my friend and I didn't go home hungry
google avatar

Portida T.

Yelp
The perk of the place was excellent ventilation and bright lighting. I was drawn by the salad bar and 19.99 deal but ended up getting the all day 24.99 with the naengmyeon 5.99 up charge. The 19.99 deal ends at 5pm for those interested. Valet shows up around 5pm. The salad bar has a mix of hot food items like dumplings, rice cakes, beef ribs, japchae, cold marinated items for the grill, some fruits and an actual salad bar. I feel like maybe they offer too many items and the quality control portion isn't there? Flavors were ok. I ordered small intestine and noticed they were most likely parboiled beforehand. The brisket was a chewier cut. The beef belly was solid. Kimchi was ok but didn't feel home made, a bit on the salty yet not fermented side. The macaroni salad was kinda gross felt like the mayo or something was off. Overall I think I'd prefer to go to Road to Seoul instead but it was a nice find for lunch.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
You get what you pay for here. The cheapest option is barely edible, so I definitely wouldn't recommend getting it. The hot bar is alright, pretty much was most of what I ate. If you pay for the higher tiers, you might as well head to another spot.

Silver S.

Yelp
Food and ambiance is great. My server is Aaron and he was a wonderful server. Hundred percent recommend this place. (But this place doesn't accept solo diners, in case if you wanted to dine alone.)
google avatar

Shelly Z.

Yelp
My new favorite kbbq spot!! My friend and I came for dinner and got the $25 all day special and wow did we get our moneys worth. My friend got the steamed egg for $1.99 and she said it was worth it. I loved the beef belly and my friend loved the honeycomb pork belly. There is so much meat selection at the DIY station. We really liked the bulgogi. I reeeally enjoyed the braised pork ribs (the brown sauce one, red was just okay). I like that the restaurant did not blast music so we actually can have a conversation. Oh boy was service fast!! Everyone was ON IT. Parking is $3 for valet but we managed to find free parking on the street. We will be back!!!
google avatar

Carlo G.

Yelp
A pretty mid AYCE KBBQ option in Ktown in my opinion. I was enticed to come here upon seeing the ads for a $25.99 AYCE all-day special all over social media. I came around 9pm on Wednesday and upon arriving and the staff told me they will close the kitchen at 9:50pm. My party was a little hesitant at first, but we decided to quickly dine here as we were hungry. We saw this place was open until 11pm online which is why we decided to come so late. If it's clearly stated when the kitchen closes, that would've made the logistical planning a lot more seamless. The interior and seating was decent. The booth seating was comfortable. The worst part for me was the self-serve food bar. I get that it's towards the end of the day, but having stale foods out in the open for consumption is unacceptable. The fried foods like the churros and fried shrimp were all stale and hard to chew. It was not pleasant. It's as if they have been sitting out for a while. The only decent things were the japchae which was pretty tasty and the short ribs. As for the ordered meats, they were standard and good. I liked the beef belly the best. I also liked all the beef meats like the brisket and short blade. However, the thick-cut pork belly my group received was mostly fat which we didn't like. The small intestines also weren't the most appetizing. The staff were pretty friendly. As for parking, there's a free parking lot out front with ample spots which was nice. Due to this experience, I'm not sure if I would visit again, but maybe the experience is better earlier in the day.
google avatar

Rina K.

Yelp
The only reason why they get one star is because the staff was amazing. However, do not come here unless you want very tough meat and subpar everything. They still have ice cream on the menu, but we got no ice cream. This was not prime meat. We ordered the B and it was not worth it. It's better to save your money and go somewhere else that has better quality meat for this kind of price.
google avatar

Yelp
Korean BBQ Chung Dam is a huge indoor dining space with outdoor patio for those who want better fresh air circulation. There are AYCE set menus differently priced based on A) Wagyū (wah ghee yu), B) Prime Grade beef, C) Choice Grade beef with options to choose all kinds of meat. We chose D) during AYCE Happy Hour 11am-4pm, weekday only excluding Holidays for $19.99/person. There are only 4 choices of freshly cut meat, 2 beef & 2 pork, but of good quality. Banchan: Wongbok/Napa cabbage Gimchi; Oi/cucumber Gimchi; Rice wrappers; Daikon Gimchi; Sweet Potato cubes braised in sweet, light soy sauce; Fish terrine braised in sweet soy sauce. The AYCE Bar is also an option with a lot of marinated meats of pork, beef, chicken, and even shrimp. Cooked foods like fried Mandu dumplings, Tempura shrimp, fried chicken, braised shortrib of beef or pork, etc. Fresh green salad, fruits to refresh the palate. Theoretical time limit of 2 hours if the restaurant is full of waiting customers, but we arrived at 3pm on a Thursday and stayed till 5:30pm. We still could savour a complimentary mini cup of ice cream since Chung Dam was still quiet before the dinner rush. The meat quality was adequate, and at $20....such a deal! The waiters here are quick and efficient. The only catch....Two order minimum which means 2 people unless you want to pay twice which defeats the purpose of a good deal. 4+ stars PS Just saw a notice by Chung Dam management that single diners have to pay a $10 supplement.

Yelp
Food was solid for the price of their happy hour lunch special! A 15% tip was included already for their happy hour which makes it easier so you don't have to do all the math! Service was hella good too because of how Aaron's hospitality was! Definitely will be back again since it's close by as well!
google avatar

Yelp
Very fast service and great selection of food to choose from. There's different levels to choose from with allows for different budgets ranging from $32 to $68. We went with option C for $40 because it has the cuts we enjoy: brisket, tongue, finger, gambi, octopus, and ribeye. The service was very fast, we got what we ordered within a few minutes. And the servers checked in on us frequently to remove used plates and put in more orders when we needed. The items at the self serve bar were great! I enjoyed the ribs and veggies from there. At the end, we got a scoop of ice cream which was included. The restaurant is clean and spacious. With private parking lot. Definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Quite a good option for AYCE KBBQ! Valet parking is available in the lot, otherwise there is street parking, but it can be difficult to find. The banchans were delicious and there is also a self service bar with marinated meat, salad, and fried food sides. The service was friendly and quick, our server checked on us plenty of times and was very attentive. We went with the Wagyu Omakase menu and the meat was pretty good quality. Our favorites were the Wagyu Ribeye, Wagyu Short Rib, and Wagyu Otoro. Overall, it was a great dining experience and we were stuffed afterwards. I would come back if I'm in the mood for ayce kbbq!
google avatar

Stefany W.

Yelp
Not impressed with this place at all. We came here for dinner and opted for tier C. We ordered the beef belly, brisket, rib finger, marinated galbi, non marinated galbi, ribeye and more. We also got bulgogi from the raw meat bar. Everything seemed low quality. The rib finger, usually one of my favorite, was so tough and chewy even when we cooked it medium rare. The bulgogi had this weird yellow stuff all over it. I thought it was chopped garlic at first but apparently it wasn't. Even after cooked, it was this bright yellow color. Very weird. The only meat that was decent was the marinated galbi and even then it was just okay at best. I was also surprised that their banchan wasn't good especially the kimchi. Definitely not worth it. There are a lot of better Kbbq spots in the area with better quality and similar pricing.

Yelp
First time at BBQ Chung Dam, and wow, this place did not disappoint! If you're in K-Town and craving some solid Korean BBQ, this is a must-visit. Very spacious, the staff is friendly and super helpful, which made the whole experience even better. The banchan (side dishes) were plentiful and fresh at the salad bar which had a lot of options and dishes. Everything tasted great, and the grill setup was fantastic, they grill for you as they walk by to ensure the meats cooked up just right but also respect your preferences. Definitely a place to come back to, especially if you're looking for a tasty BBQ experience. Can't wait for round two!

Yelp
Monday, April 21, lunch visit. Thank you Yelpers for letting me know that there is a parking lot. However, there is no free parking unless you park on the street. Valet parking fees during 11am - 4 pm lunch ($2) and during dinner hours ($3). I couldn't confirm profane music as it sounded like K-pop playing in the restaurant. I used the Yelp app to enter their wait-list but we got there just before noon and it wasn't needed. There were plenty of tables but the main section was filled with customers by the time we were done. I was having a working lunch so I didn't have hours to spend having AYCE KBBQ $20 lunch special (M-F). I will have to try it again to know what to expect. Perhaps next time do not eat half a plate of salad and only go for the proteins. The service was good. The grill was changed out several times as we cooked our food. We were asked several times if we wanted to order additional premium meats from the kitchen. Even if we didn't order premium, the regular selection at the bar was decent. There was a raw bar of salad, fruit, marinaded meats, and shrimp. There was also a hot bar with prepped food such as fried rice, glass noodles, wings, short ribs. I didn't enjoy the two wings as they didn't taste good in my opinion. The beef short ribs were delicious though.

Yelp
My husband and I are currently visiting from Hawaii and found one of the best Korean bbq spots in LA! So glad that this place had such great parking and with friendly valet attendants to assist with your car. Joining the waitlist was quick and easy as well as being seated. While waiting, there are also cute little photo props at the front. Aaron, Jason, Ryan, Lalo and the rest of the staff members are so friendly and are always checking up on us to make sure if we are okay or if we need anything. Not only are there so many side options at the bar but meat options as well! Still can't believe we found a place that serves beef belly and thinly sliced pork belly which we LOVE!
google avatar

Briseida N.

Yelp
It was our first time coming here. They have a great Happy Hour from 11-4 for $19.99. The total ends up being like $26 with the service charge and it comes with the self bar which has so many options. The meat was great, our favorite was the brisket, it was so yummy. The ambiance was nice, the place is big. The service was fast and attentive. Will be coming back!

Yelp
In this economy, an affordable yet good quality all-you-can-eat KBBQ deal is rare. BBQ Chungdam in Koreatown is THE spot to check out! The restaurant features an expansive clean interior, great service, and a nice salad bar where you can just go grab meat from at any time even with the cheapest $19.99 AYCE menu. We really enjoyed the thinly sliced pork belly and choice brisket! Pork belly did not have any excess fat so it could be grilled to perfection--crispy and golden brown. While the choice brisket had such a beautiful marbling that I didn't expect to be able to get with this affordable menu. By far, BBQ Chungdam's $19.99 menu has the best quality for price ratio for Korean AYCE BBQ. Can't wait to come back for the wagyu omakase menu Plus, they have a free parking lot!

Yelp
We got the Wagyu Omakase and it is worth EVERY PENNY! Aaron, our server was super attentive and made sure to check in and cook our meat for us so we got to truly enjoy the wagyu in all of its fatty delicious glory. Definitely come and try it!!!

Yelp
Came to BBQ Chung Dam for a Korean BBQ fix after seeing some solid reviews. We went with the B dining option, and honestly, for the price, we've had better elsewhere. The Wagyu Otoro and prime ribeye were easily the highlights--super flavorful and tender. But the Wagyu brisket didn't quite hit the mark. It was decent, but didn't have the melt-in-your-mouth quality we've experienced at other spots that serve Wagyu. The self-serve area was underwhelming, and the other meat options like the pork belly were just okay. Garlic shrimp wasn't anything to write home about either. If we do come back, it would be to try the A dining option and sample more of their Wagyu cuts, since that seemed to be the strongest part of the meal. That being said, for the price, there are definitely better quality and more affordable KBBQ spots in K-Town that offer both better overall value and stronger Wagyu options.

Yelp
A friend had recommended Chung Dam after he had visited after their recent opening. We also read the great reviews and decided to head over for lunch. The restaurant is pretty big with lots of tables and seating available. They have three different all you can eat options at different price points. The pricing is pretty on par with the average AYCE kbbq. I felt greatly deceived by the photos on Yelp because the quality of meats that we received were nowhere close. We had to ask them to take meat back several times because there was more fat than meat (photo attached). The staff were also very rude and made condescending comments. Based on my experience, I would highly HIGHLY recommend that you go elsewhere for kbbq.

Yelp
We were across the street at LAces and saw their sign for 24.99 AYCE, looked on yelp and saw all the great reviews. I rarely opt for the cheapest AYCE menu, we went for the $39.99 option so galbi and ribeye's were included. For me the meat was good but everything else felt short. The banchans weren't my favorite, the salad bar could be better, even the dipping sauces were so-so. i think my favorite thing of the night was the soybean soup, it was delicious. I still thought for the $40 option, the menu was limited - I'm referring to the dishes outside of the meats. They didn't offer rice paper which is something I really like to have when I have kbbq. They did have a buffet section with dishes like fried rice, chicken wings, sweet and sour pork, etc., Service was good. The staff was friendly and meat came out quickly. They validate for free parking in both the lots to their right (supermarket lot) and left (california bldg) - make sure to snap a picture of your license plate, they provide validation by putting your car info into the parking system.

Yelp
Pretty good KBBQ. we got the C option. We tried the beef belly, brisket, LA galbi, marinated beef, pork belly, and some of the beef from the raw bar. Service was attentive. They have happy hours price for $20 m-f until 4pm which seems like a good deal. I wish they had more seafood options. For the price, there are some better KBBQ options in KTOWN. I would come back but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Yelp
Food 4/5: banchan were all ok, but kimchi was extraordinary. Wagyu was good but i guess it's a bit greasy in general. Fresh. Service 5/5 Ambiance is kbbq giant diner. Recommend for families!

Yelp
This was my second visit to Chungdam BBQ, and I'm honestly more impressed than the first time -- which I didn't think was possible! I came back for their unbeatable $19.99 Happy Hour, and once again, it delivered big time. Our male server this time was just excellent. Super attentive, friendly without being overbearing, and completely on top of everything -- grill changes, side dishes, drinks... it all flowed so smoothly. You could tell he was experienced and really cared about the guest experience. The meats were just as high quality as before. The pork belly, brisket, and bulgogi were all fresh, flavorful, and grilled up perfectly. It honestly doesn't feel like "happy hour" food -- the quality is more like full-price dinner service. And let's talk about the self-bar again: cold noodles, soup, dumplings -- amazing as always. But what really made me smile was that fruit section. Fresh pineapple, watermelon, melon, and orange slices? YES PLEASE. It's such a nice touch after eating all the grilled meats -- refreshing, sweet, and surprisingly satisfying. The place was clean, organized, and even when it got a bit busy, service never slowed down. I came back because I had a great experience the first time... and now I'm convinced I'll be a regular. If you're even thinking about trying it, go -- and don't miss the fruit.

Yelp
On Tuesday dinner, I would like to share my whole awesome experience. We came for the Choice Special during lunch and loved how generous and balanced the set was. From Beef Finger Meat to Top Blade and Choice Brisket, everything was perfectly portioned and fresh. Aaron took care of us, and he was incredibly smooth -- never rushed, always attentive. He checked in at the right times, kept the grill clean, and made sure our self-bar items stayed full without us even noticing. Super calm energy that made our meal feel relaxed and easy. Great food, great price, and Aaron's service just made it effortless. Definitely recommend for a casual but premium K-BBQ lunch.

Yelp
Was looking for an AYCE early enough after a yoga session. This place totally delivered. Meats were good quality. The "salad" bar included popular meats for cooking and appetizers that were great to snack on. Props to our server AARON for taking care of us: super attentive and helpful. A super bonus that he didn't even bat an eye at two people asking for soju right at opening, haha.

Yelp
When you're craving for kbbq, this is a must! Parking can be tight but there is valet seevicd available. The place is clean, huge, ang nive to be in. There are AYCE choices depending on what you eat. The salad bar in itself already has everything from salad to meat to cooked food such as chicken, rice cakes, glass noodles, rice, & fruits. Service is really good and they do not skimp on meat portions. Price tag is fair. What is not to like about this place? Absolutely nothing.

Yelp
Celebrated NYE here with AYCE KBBQ and our group ordered the Prime Special tier for $58.88/pp. The entire experience was underwhelming. The meat lacked flavor and the self-serve bar was also disappointing. The only meat that was tasty was the Wagyu Beef Tongue. That was the only meat selection worthy to highlight. To top it off, they ran out of radish during our visit - a staple banchan at most other spots for those that prefer a more refreshing palette other than rice paper. Oddly, the cold spicy noodles still included radish, which made me wonder if they had limited supply and chose to prioritize it elsewhere. For the price point and subpar quality, I'd much rather make the trip to Rowland Heights and enjoy 88Q Korean BBQ, where the quality, variety, and overall experience are far superior for a couple bucks more. Parking is valet only but there's plenty of street parking that's free after 6pm.

Yelp
The staff were attentive and quick to refill side dishes and bring out more meat. They also helped with grilling, which was a nice touch, especially for first-timers unsure of cooking times. Shoutout to Aaron for the amazing service!

Yelp
First time at this Korean restaurant and we love it. Will be back for sure and bring my family... This will be my go to Korean bbq.... If you're looking to elevate your K-BBQ experience, Chungdam BBQ is a must-visit. Their Wagyu Omakase Set is on another level -- featuring buttery cuts like Wagyu Ribeye, Chuck Flap, and Beef Skirt that melt in your mouth. Jackie helped us with our selection and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. The Self Bar was a gourmet bonus, with cold noodles, Korean pancakes, and more. This is where quality and service come together.
