We came here to tour the farm as well as have breakfast. The farm tour was really interesting and we learned a lot. The garden space is really beautiful and you can walk around and look at the different herbs, flowers, and vegetables that are growing in the garden beds. They have a market where you can buy produce sourced from their fields. There are also special events, so check their website for details.
This is pretty much the definition of farm-to-table since most of the items on the menu came from the farm itself, including the eggs and the pork products. I think everything but the bread was made or grown on the farm. With that said, I felt it was on the pricey side even though the middleman was effectively cut out.
We had sausage, egg, and cheese on a brioche bun as well as the shredded pork sandwich.
The sausage and the shredded pork was the dry side. During the farm tour, they prided themselves on their tomatoes. They grow several varieties including heirloom tomatoes. With that said, the tomato in the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich was sliced paper thin and there were only two slices. So, it was hard to get a taste of the tomato. I wish it was sliced thicker - at least a quarter inch. This way, we could get a better taste of the tomato.
The place is pretty much self-service. You order and pay at the counter and they will give you a sign with a number on it. You then find a table and put up the number. Once your food is ready, someone will bring it out to you. Once you're done, you bus your own table.
Overall, we had a nice experience touring the farm and enjoying really fresh produce. Not sure I'd come back though.
