"Beaker & Gray, a popular Wynwood restaurant known for its equal focus on food and cocktails, will close on June 30, 2024, after nearly a decade of operation. The restaurant, co-owned by Brian Nasajon and Ben Potts, has been a significant part of Wynwood's evolution. It became famous for its boozy brunches, romantic dinners, and twice-daily happy hours. Despite its success, the owners feel now is the right time to close and look for new opportunities." - Laine Doss

"Sometimes the hardest part about going out is finding that middle ground between a place that devotes half its menu to rare caviar and somewhere that considers a spork an acceptable form of silverware. Beaker and Gray is almost always a good call when caught in such a dilemma. We’ve never had a bad meal or cocktail at this place, which serves Latin-inspired dishes like cheeseburger croquettes, alongside very recognizable things like octopus. "You could spend 15 minutes inching past tourists taking photos in the middle of NW 2nd Ave, only to do the same thing on North Miami Ave for 20 minutes, until you finally reach I-95 and see that the two right lanes are shut down because someone was trying to peel a hard-boiled egg while merging. Or you could just take a seat at Beaker and Gray and enjoy a few small plates that’ll cost you $5-$7 from 4-7pm.
