We visited Bean and Hop on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and despite it being very busy, we only had to wait 10 minutes for a table for two. The whole experience was swift - we were seated, served drinks and food quickly, and paid the bill within the hour.
Coffee: The double espresso was fantastic! (5/5) A strong, dark roast with a perfect crema, smooth and delicious. Especially for £2.50, it's a steal!
Service: The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, even on a busy day. We were seated quickly, drinks arrived promptly, and the food followed suit.
Food: We tried the breakfast of champignons and the avocado eggs and chorizo. Both were delicious! The mushrooms were buttery and garlicky, and the sourdough was perfectly toasted. The avocado eggs had a generous portion of smashed avocado and the chorizo was perfectly spiced.
Price: The Buck's Fizz was a bit pricey at £8.50, but it did have a good amount of pulp.
Atmosphere: It can get quite loud and crowded, especially on sunny days.
Overall, Bean and Hop is a great spot for a quick and delicious brunch or coffee. The service is top-notch, the coffee is fantastic, and the food is tasty. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait and a lively atmosphere, especially on weekends
