Whether you pull up a stool at it’s stately mahogany bar or settle into a timeworn chair, its Old World ambiance is primed for telling tales over pints that keep on coming with good friends and new friends. And what’s more fitting than beer that tastes as distinguished as you feel here? Described as approachable in its elegance and unexpected in its nuance, it’s worthy of several pints. "Day drinking doesn’t get much breezier than on the porch at Bearded Iris in Germantown. Their flagship location, and primary production facility, smells like hops and blasts hip-hop and lazy funk music all afternoon. They’re known for their IPAs like Homestyle, Heir Apparent, and a tropical option called Wave Craze. But, they also have a great cocktail list, including a daiquiri on draft and a Midori-laced Spaghett riff that both pair well with some sunshine. The entire place is dog-friendly, and their porch has umbrellas at every table with plenty of room to spread out. Homestyle, their fruity and aromatic flagship, is arguably the best draft IPA in the city, and they have double and triple versions of Homestyle, too. Their porch is the perfect spot for lazy day drinking and playing catch-up with old friends when you need some vitamin D.
