Review for Beat the Bomb Brooklyn Had an amazing time at Beat the Bomb Brooklyn! We did the Paint Bomb experience, and it was an absolute blast. The puzzles were engaging and kept us on our toes, making the whole experience even more exciting. The only downside was the parking—it was a bit tricky to find a spot. Also, the photos and videos they shared were a bit dark, which was a little disappointing since I’ve seen better quality ones from other locations. Overall, though, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d definitely recommend it for a fun and unique outing!

So I took my cousins here in 2019 and they LOVED it. When they came back to visit me in NY, this was the #1 activity they mentioned to do. Beat the bomb unequivocally requires teamwork. There are 8 max per group and if you can't communicate with each other, you will not be successful enough to "beat the bomb" (though beating the bomb is pretty hard as it is). What I liked: -they have free lockers for your belongings -the games are pretty fun (there are 4 challenges, and depending how you do it adds to your time at the end to attempt to disarm the bomb) -They provide a suit in various sizes to save your clothes and shoes from the mess, and have an area where you can clean yourself up -Even if you beat the bomb, you can still be blasted by whichever kind of bomb you chose (paint, foam, etc) -Your pics are free! What I didn't like: -You are very active in this game, so it gets sweaty FAST. Need fans in there -The screen in your room indicates when to move on, but if you have a kids group or rowdy group in general, they can disrupt your game by opening the door and walking into it -The last game you play in the series of challenges is pretty confusing and the hardest to manage, especially when the tech doesnt read your body too well How it could improve: -Making the "winning" incentive more known. When I went the first time, we lost, but the latest time we won. I happened to ask a guy a question before leaving an apparently you get a little certificate and pins for winning. We didn't know about that and no one told us that was a thing, so they could make that more known. -More ventilation in the room -Everything is very formulaic, independent experience. This is good because it gives players and chance to learn on their own, but I argue there could be improvements with staff getting a little more involved, particularly with organization. It gets chaotic in there fast. Overall, conceptually it's steps above an escape room because it challenges your brain to think in multiple ways, not just following hints to solve a mystery.

Beat The Bomb is an amazing interactive game that each person should experience one in their lifetime. The staff is highly attentive, and the atmosphere is electric! From the moment you walk in, you're immersed in a world of fun and excitement. The challenges are cleverly designed, pushing you to work as a team and think outside the box. I especially loved the adrenaline rush of the final countdown—it really gets your heart racing! Whether you're with friends, family, or coworkers, Beat The Bomb is perfect for creating unforgettable memories. I can't wait to go back and try a different room! Highly recommend!

A really fun, active escape room. We had a blast doing a double date here with our friends and loved the combination of mental and physical challenges in this location! We appreciated that the sequence of rooms for the Bomb were unique and different. Each room required us to rapidly learn and adapt while enjoying/communicating with the other couple.

Hosted my son’s birthday party. Everything from initial contact to planning to day of and even post party was DA BOMB! Yes, I just instantly dated myself but it was a risk worth taken! Made him a bomb cake too. Everyone had a BLAST!

Was really a fun family activity, the whole thing took about an hour. I’m giving it 4 stars because we felt the directions given before some of the rounds were a bit confusing. We spent the first minute or two of each round just trying to figure out what to do, and the time was wasted. I’d say it’s perfect ages 10 and up. We brought a 7 year old, she still had fun but we had to give her lots of instruction.

Went here for a double date. Come here if you want to have an out of the box active date night. The games are easy enough to do and hard enough to still be fun. Wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. The staff were helpful and fun. We would go back again for sure!

Incredible experience! This was the second time I go, but the rest of the group’s first time. My cousin and her friends went for my cousin’s birthday and we had a BLAST! Although we did not beat the bomb, it was so much fun. Austin, Vic, and Raph were so attentive and amazing, they totally Made the experience so much better with their attention to detail! Will be returning :)

This is my second time coming here. First time my husband and I Beat The Bomb but this time with a bigger team, we lost lol. It was so much. It was very packed when we walked in, people playing games and music going. They greet you fast and get you checked in right away so it wasn't much waiting around. Each room had different missions that gave you time for the end to Beat The Bomb. I love this love. Will do the Foam mission next.

Expect the Unexpected! Beat The Bomb was an immersive, heart-racing, and unforgettable experience. Greg was so helpful with booking while providing an overview of the game and layout of the space. Although we were a trio and not a quad, the fee remained the same even if we were one player short. I was grateful that there was a suit (painter's coveralls) that fit me -- thick and tall. After a few quick family photos, we were ready for our mission. Our goal was to compete, communicate, and complete. No more VR, this was in IRL. Our eight-year-old son was our team leader. He took it so seriously. It was great to see him in action. Unfortunately, we struggled early on and ran out of time lol. After failing miserably, it was fun to let loose in photos and video clips. The foam blast was fun and did not hurt (thankfully). I still forgot to tuck in my chin despite their instructions. Oops! As a self-designated family photographer, I am usually comfortable on the sidelines but Beat The Bomb was the exception. Decided to try Beat the Bomb for my friend's birthday. I heard about it from work, where I used to work with High school students and we would plan trips for them, when they are on break. I thought it would be a nice activity to do as it was different. There are 5 people in total in my group and we decided to go with the paint option. We of course booked and made reservations ahead of time. When we arrived at the location, the registration and all that went pretty quick and smooth. Oh, something to think about if you go is think of a group name as the name will be displayed on their scoreboard for the day. We were checked-in and were given a suit to wear over our clothes. Tip: you can wear it and all but you won't need to be fully covered until like the last stage, cause it gets HOT wearing it. Esp when you're trying to complete the tasks. Anyways - there is about 5-6 rooms, where you'll need to work together with your group to solve. If you are able to complete the task, you'll get extra time for the final round. Also, I'm just saying but be prepared to be physically active, some room you'll have to run around such as the laser room, where you need to get across one side to the other side without hitting the lasers. I'm pretty sure that room got me warm and sweaty the most and sore! (after the activity and end of the day). My thighs were sore as hell ! But anyways - this is a fun place to work together not just physically but your brain! Since esp the first room, you'll need to really read and pay attention on what you'll need to do to solve them as well as another room where you'll need to memorize some patterns. All in all it's pretty fun. We would do it again to beat our score and hopefully do better. Also, it's awesome how we get the video and photo sent to us (real quick too).

What a waste of money! This is not a themed escape room using logic and teamwork. Went with 2 grandchildren 10 and 12. Directions were SO poor and flashed on a screen faster than we could read it. So we floundered around for half the time in 3 of the 5 rooms. No way to speak to anyone to clarify. Go to the movies instead!

I've been dying to try Beat the Bomb for the last couple of years, so finally for my birthday, I decided to come with a group of 4 other people. Overall, I liked the concept; it reminded me of the Black Mirror Careers game at Immersive Gamebox in the physicality and communication needed to succeed, but with a larger over-arching goal of disarming a bomb in the final room, rendering it an escape room. The first room went very well for us, but we faced numerous technical difficulties in the following ones. With the lasers, for some rounds, we would lose lives very quickly pretty much when we started, without any sort of rhyme or reason. The readers didn't always have good signal with our wristbands, leading to a lot of wasted time replaying rounds. Because communication is key for some of the rooms, the outside noise from other groups and music made it hard for us to hear each other. I also felt rushed at the very end--a couple of us had trouble putting on our masks, which impeded us in playing the final room's game; I wish the employee would've stuck around for just another minute to help us with the equipment.

- fun times - event takes about an hour but it goes quickly - there's beer and wine at the bar - friendly and helpful staff - how often do they clean these suits? - it's about five or six rooms and if u complete the tasks, that gives u extra time to beat the bomb in the final round - large groups must be divided we had a group of ten, and had to divide into two teams of five - u can choose paint or foam

This was so much fun! I've been here twice and I won't stop til I finish all the different rooms! It's very interactive and great for parties! We came here once for a birthday activity and came back again with my nieces and nephews and they loved it! I definitely recommend this to every one of all ages!

Overall, fun experience. I would recommend. Knocked off a star for a couple of minor issues This place has two different experiences you can book for "beating the bomb". You can end with a foam blast or a paint blast. How it works is that when you arrive, the staff check you in and give you plastic type overalls to wear. These go over your clothes but it was quite warm so we wore these around our waists until the final room. In each of a series of rooms, your team has to complete missions to earn bomb defusing time at the end room. All of the missions were fun, unique, and required team work. If you did well in a certain room you could advance to higher difficulties of levels. In every room, you need to activate it was a wristband. In some of the rooms, you needed the wristbands to play. However, often times there was a delay in the wristband reacting to the receiver and especially in one room, caused us to not do as well as we could have. Despite that, my group had a blast and were excited to get to the end. We actually had so much time banked that "winning" in the last room was not difficult. Luckily, they still let us experience the bomb. I will say that the paint colors are not as vibrant as they seem in online pictures which, while minor, was kind of a small let down. What was cool was that in the end, you get a breakdown of how you did overall and in each room. They also send you pictures and videos of the final room. Overall, if you can get a group of 4 or more together, this is a fun way to spend an hour or so doing something uniquely fun.

A variation of the escape room experience. Kids go through a series of rooms with different challenges, culminating in a last challenge to beat the clock before a paint bomb detonates. Just for fun, you can manually detonate the bomb even if you win. They provide kids with coveralls and masks so that their clothes are protected from the paint. A nice activity for birthday parties.

Such a great start to the new year! I've been wanting to do more activities with friends and beat the bomb was the perfect activity to do with friends or coworkers. Just make sure you have a group of 4-6 people and you are good to go! I enjoyed how you had to work together to beat levels in each of the 4 different rooms before you got to the final room (where you have to see if you can beat the bomb or get hit with paint). The more levels you beat in each room the more time you get added to beat the bomb and you spend 10 minutes in each room. We did not beat the bomb but we did want to get splashed with paint so we were fine with it! They did mention if you do beat the bomb they do give you the option to get bombed regardless. Highly recommend!

This was a very unique experience! It's like an escape room had a baby with squid game. There are 5 different rooms with various challenges and you have to work together. Our group of 7 was too big so we had to split up. But we were able to escape and still chose to get blasted with paint. Pro tip: They provide a suit, shoe coverings and a mask. But theres a chance it'll still get on your clothes when you're taking off everything so avoid wearing white. If you do get some on you, wash it off immediately with

I had awesome time here!! This is great for team building foolery!!! First of all the lovely sistah at the counter was awesome...sorry I forgot her name. We got the VIP package for 6. The place is large and well kept. We had apply space to to get into our protective gear. I will say wear light clothing those things get hot. Each room was very interactive and communication skills are must!! Overall Each room was challenging but still fun. The last room is the blast room also hilarious. We got pics and video of the blast. After we changed we received or drink and played more games before we left. This was definitely fun and I would do it again!!

We had a great time at Beat the Bomb! We had a group of 14 come for my birthday and got split into 3 teams of 5, 5, and 4. The staff was extremely patient with us as wrangling 14 people to come at the same time and form groups was a difficult ask. We got to compete against each other as teams and it ended up feeling like Laser Tag in that way with the scorecards we got at the end. Each of the rooms were unique and fun, and most of us are in an arts program at NYU that makes interactive experiences so we especially appreciated it! The only issue we had was sometimes the RFID bands didn't register in a timely fashion, but otherwise everything was great. We were very impressed. Also they do a great job of keeping your clothes from getting covered in paint. I wore a dress and didn't have any issues. I've done dozens of escape rooms before and this is definitely one of my favorites! Highly recommended!

My friend celebrated her birthday here and it was such a fun time! If you are looking for a way to celebrate a birthday, a teambuilding exercise for work, etc. I highly recommend this place. I only took a star away because I wish that this establishment had a bar. With the package that my friend got for her birthday, we were able to get something like a hard seltzer but that's all.

Did not do the challenge. Just the games bay but it was so much fun! Would definitely come again.

Went to beat the bomb with some kids for a birthday! What a treat it was! Jackie kindly welcomed us and showed us where to sign waivers. We then had to decide how we were going to split our two teams. For those who don't know what the point of the game, it's two teams head to head (separately) to she who could disarm the bomb before being splatted on with paint! You go through 4 different rooms solving puzzles with your team to accumulate time to use at the end when disarming the bomb in the 5th room. Four stars because one of the screens in the room was broken which afffected our time gains... but non the less we won! If you win you get to choose wether you want to still be sprayed with. No worries they give you complete covers for your clothes and shoes and a helmet. I must say i was surprised at how much pain was everywhere but on my personal clothes and myself! Def recommended for a fun time out!

Came here the other day and had an absolute blast! The games were immersive and fun, with each starting our relatively easy and getting more difficult as the team clears levels. The staff ran everything smoothly and were also very friendly. The only issues I had were that some of the technology for the games gave us trouble sometimes; particularly the wristbands they gave sometimes were quite difficult to badge into the sensors and there were a handful of times we almost beat a level in time but then failed when the wristband wasn't properly detected. We came here during NYC Must-See week so the tickets were essentially half price which I thought was a great deal but I think the normal price would be a bit more than I would be willing to pay since the experience only lasts about an hour.

Had an interesting experience at the beat the bomb for my birthday! Everyone that works there was dope , very helpful and overall a great vibe. I do wish the games were better, the sensors could read you better and it was more decked out like their Atlanta location which has food and drinks. This could be a great double date spot, or a day/night with friends since it's a minimum of 4 people per reservation. They are pretty lenient with reservations, mine was at 7 pm, and a few members of the party arrived at 7:05-7:10- our game didn't start till 7:15-7:20.

It's fun, but don't go with kids who won't co-operate. We had a lot of issues in the first room, where the had to reset the system. It's a competitive game against another group, so be wise on who's your team mates. Please read, understand, help your team mates out, you'll be literally be on the floor crawling lol, ninja style lol. Wear comfy clothing.

Perfect place to visit with a large group. It needs at least 4 people to complete the challenge. If you only have 4 people, you can compete with other teams. If you have more like me (I have 8 people), you can compete against each other!! Out of the 5 challenges, I think the laser one is the most challenging most people would agree. Most people who don't work out regularly would have a problem jumping and rolling around in 10 min. Other than that, other challenges are more about teamwork. As long as you somewhat get along with your friends. I think everyone should be able to get through the challenges lol The loser will get a paint gunshot on you (see the pictures below), but the winner can CHOOSE to get the same experience as well. I mean you are already here, why not get the full package experience right? It's super fun and you get some free photos and videos that you can share with your friends and family.

Heads up,it's not a club,it's an escape room but still looks like a club so you can still treat it like a club,except the cashier,ew I only date 10s.

This was such a fun experience. Take a fun group of friends and see if you guys can fuse your brain cells together well enough to win. Beat The Bomb will have you thinking, MOVING, and desperately trying to make shit happen. I cannot recommend this place enough. It was so fun!!! Tip: Wear clothes that you can comfortably move around in because at one point I was doing Kim Possible level acrobatics.

We went as a group of 6 for my friend's birthday. It's a lot of fun but definitely a WORKOUT (that I didn't prepare for)! They're pretty strict on the time so try to be there within the time frame stated in the confirmation email. When you come in, you have to show vaccination card and ID. After that, you sign in (waivers, email, phone number, etc) so they can send you the pictures and so you can check in room to room. You get a locker that you share with your team! It's not too big but enough room if you all bring a little something. It was raining today when we came, and the nice staff even provided a bucket for our umbrellas. They give you suits to wear and then tape up your feet so you won't trip when you're inside the rooms. Not sure if the suits were one size fits all but they were huuuuuge. Very spacious for someone petite like me! They also give you a Fanny pack for your phone(s)? We didn't really use the Fanny pack lol My friends and I had a lot of fun going from room to room, it's definitely challenging for the first time. Coordination and teamwork is key! Different rooms had different tasks for you to complete, some where you had to physically move around and about. Be careful, when we were in the laser room, none of us were touching the lasers at one point and the screen kept taking away our lives -- so we didn't really like this one! They will tell you when you're about to enter the bomb room, give you this plastic covering so your suit gets an extra barrier against the paint and also provide a helmet for you that you can tighten/loosen as needed. Definitely make sure you tighten it!!!! My friend's helmet came off after the paint blast because it wasn't on tight enough! We didn't beat the bomb, but we had a great time!

Came here with a group of five guys. Touring Dumbo and looking for something fun to do prior to heading to a steakhouse, we performed a yelp search on local activities offered. We were captivated by the technology, the laser room, the hazmat-like suits, and the colorful bomb detonation the venue had to offer. The venue lived up to the hype. Only the laser room was down during our turn. The staff handled the situation well. However, we do regret not having been able to review our films on the big screen at the conclusion of the maze. All in all, a great experience, despite technical difficulties. Our group "had a blast" (pun intended).

I have been here multiple times, and I can't recommend this place enough as a unique experience. It brings me joy it is in new places like DC. I have completed both levels, and those experiences have been updated since I visited. If the pressure of not getting splashed with paint is too much as you race to beat the clock, they now have new game bays you can rent out and play with friends with drinks. I haven't tried this yet, but I cannot wait. I have completed 80+ escape rooms across different cities, and I continue to recommend this with zero hesitation.

I had also experience at this place. The laser maze helped me fulfill a childhood dream of mine. Staff is pretty cool with the games were highly interactive and lasted a bit longer than I expected but definitely was a full experience I definitely will be returning

Wasn't expecting to have as much fun as I did. It's a similar concept to an escape room only each room was timed. The very last challenge was to beat the bomb and if you didn't, you got blasted with slime. You still had the option to get slimed even if you did win. I'd go deeper into detail but don't want to ruin it for anyone. Make sure to dress in light clothing because you are suited in a plastic jumpsuit, you run around a little, and the rooms are a little hot.

My friends and I did Beat the Bomb on a snowy Saturday this past weekend and it was so much fun! I paid for my entire group and it is a bit pricey, but we'll worth the money! The entire staff was helpful and friendly. They took pictures of us when we were waiting and after we were done in addition to the digital ones they provide for free. My team didn't get to practice beforehand, but we did pretty well. It goes by fast even though you're in the rooms for a while. I recommend wearing clothes to keep you cool. Even in sweater weather, we were down to tank tops and t-shirts under the coverall. There are some rooms that require lots of movement, bending, etc., so this may not be good for people with disabilities, although they might have a policy in place. Great experience! Would definitely do it again!

Checked out this escape room for a friend's birthday and I had no idea what to expect but it ended up being so fun!!!...and quite exhausting lol The Process: We had a group of 8 so we were divided into 2 competitive teams of 4 haha. When you arrive, they ask for proof of vaccination and ID. Then, they have you sign a waiver with your information and consent to play/post photos. After that, they hand you some keys to access the lockers where you can safely store all your belongings. Then, you head back to the counter where they ask you to come up with a team name and they will give you activated rubber wristbands that you will need to use for the game/rooms. After this, you are each given your white hazmat suits to put over your clothes. Later in the game, you will be given shoe cover/booties and a sturdy face shield to protect your clothes and exposed skin. ***Pro tip: I suggest wearing as little layers of clothing as possible!!! My group came in during the chilly month of January, dressed warm for 20 degree weather, and despite keeping just a thin long-sleeve on and some pants, I was full on SWEATING during most of the rounds, especially the laser game as it requires more physicality. So, just a heads up, it will get hot!!!*** Once you put on your suits, you wait until it's your turn to enter and you will be given explanations to how the various rooms work. All rules were easy to understand. The Games: The games themselves were really fun and started off pretty easy and began to progress in difficulty as the levels went on. The objective is to get through as many levels as possible for each game to accrue time before the actual beat the bomb game at the end. It's a mix between puzzles, strategy, team coordination, and memory games. From the follow-up email we received after our visit, if you visit a second time, the games can actually be changed so I think that's pretty cool. Tech Difficulties/Glitches: The reason why I gave a 4/5 star rating was mainly because of the tech issues we experienced. For the laser room, we were able to complete 10 levels before it began glitching and constantly zapping all our lives we had and forcing us to start over (this continuously happened) despite none of us touching any lasers. It wasted about a minute of our play time so it was quite a bummer as we couldn't accrue as much time as we wanted for the final game and ended up getting bombed. I still thought it was a fun room, but I guess it's a common occurrence after reading through more reviews. Our other friends in the separate group said they didn't experience any glitches, however. We also had issues at times with the wristbands not being read at the wall sensors, which killed off some more time trying to get them to go through and allow us to continue with the levels. When we received our group photos and videos, it also looks like the slo-mo video we were suppose to receive of us getting bombed was just video of an empty room. The other photos and dance video worked though. We were not able to beat the bomb but our other group of friends did and each of them received a special metal pin and sticker...and bragging rights lol. Overall, I would recommend this escape room. However, I do think there are improvement points.

Covid friendly activity all the way. hazmat suit, mask, face shields ... we ready! you check in through computers, you are given lockers for your personal items, hand sanitizer stations were everywhere. Very friendly staff and great at capturing the moment in protos. You enter 4 rooms and have 10 minutes each to defeat a challenge, you get points for how much time you rack up in each challenge. I think everyone tries their best to Beat the Bomb! but on your first go you just did not rack up enough time to complete the mission. But who really wants to beat the bomb, your there to get slimed!!!! Would highly recommend it for a date night, team building or out with middle aged kids. it was such a fun experience.

Listen! If you are competitive and active...this is for you! Do not take any of your friends that make bad decisions (yes we love you but we like to win)! I'm serious; your friendship might end here, lol! But I just love this place. I've taken coworkers and family, and it was a blast--great way to celebrate any occasion. Just be prepared to possibly get on the floor, sweat, yell, run, etc. This is not a cute date night type of activity, but you will learn a lot about the other person. So maybe this is a great way to test a new lover's thinking and decision-making capabilities!

Great rooms! Great service from the staff! They took our pictures, before and after the bomb. We were given our pictures for free via email within minutes. We TOTALLY enjoyed ourselves! this was so much fun. Its a must try...at least once. Though we didn't "beat" the bomb, we had a grand ole time!

This is a unique escape room compared to the other escape room I'ved been before. This is really fun. I went there with my girlfriends and all of us had so much fun. Theirs 5 rooms in total and guarantee each room you'll have a experience.

This was sooooo much fun!!!! Highly recommend everyone to visit this fun place. The entire crew was very friendly and supportive. We are definitely coming back. Enjoyed every bit of it.

I have no basis for comparison, but I had a good time. Was fun and engaging. Our team didn't do well on individual tasks (based on percentiles) but apparently it bought us enough time for the final stage, so we successfully escaped. I find it highly unlikely that only 8% of people beat this. Feels like a self-esteem booster to push you toward additional events, merch, and repeat visits. Nice try. Some elements in the rooms might appear as though they could be part of the activity, but no, they are just random pipes and switches unrelated to the tasks. Unintentional red herrings, cool. The paint won't get on your clothes if you wear the smock correctly. Staff are masked and friendly. The team vs room is worth trying once, but has minimal replay value in my opinion. The team v team seems like it might be fun.

4.5/5. Great place to visit with large groups. I visited with a group of 7 people and we all were able to interact and play with one another. Some games required one person to not participate to even out the players but all of these games are going to make you want to sit down! All of them require movement, which I love. Nothing beats great company, video games, a good time, and some cardio. We ended up playing the Game Bay, which included unlimited video games and a drink. Each person paid $18 bucks for unlimited games for 1-hour. This is a steal in my opinion! FYI -- the alcoholic beverages are little to none. Most of the alcoholic options I saw were canned beer. They have other beverage options such as water, juice, and soda. The snacks are very basic as well. So if you come here to drink and eat, then make sure you plan that either before or after Beat the Bomb. Beat the Bomb is in an ideal location so there are options for food and drinks galore!

Onboarding process is disorganized. Our reservation was at 5:15 and we arrived at 5:05 per request but we didn't start until 5:45. Different staff kept pointing us to different locations during onboarding. One staff member told us multiple times that someone will come get our group when it's time to start, but no one did and groups who came after us started before we did. We were promised we will finish by 6:30 (had dinner reservation) but we didn't leave until closer to 6:50. For one particular game, not all of the sensors in the game worked, so we were stuck at the same level, trying to figure out who had not tapped in yet.

Had so much fun with our friends here! I've seen so many advertisements about Beat the Bomb and decided it would be an awesome date night/hang out with my husband and I and our group of friends. We honestly had no idea what to expect when we got there but let me tell you... Beat the Bomb was... BOMB! I really loved how interactive it was and completely a different setting from an escape room. I love that they are looking to update the games soon so we could return again. I don't want to give too much away but my best advice would be to wear a tank top lol. Those suits will make you HOT! I would definitely go back!

Absolutely love coming to Beat The Bomb! It's the best way to break the ice between friends or show people visiting NYC for the first time. I've visited a total of 6 times since they first opened and genuinely never had a negative experience. I've come with new people and people who have played before and beating the bomb is all about teamwork. I honestly can say, I've yelled at people to get it together in order to win if you're looking for a fun time in NYC, I def recommend this place as a group of 4+, AND just let the games explain. It allows you to come back a second time more prepared to beat the bomb! They've also recently added a bar and the prices don't seem bad. Can't wait to try that out next time. Also, don't be afraid to ask for pictures!!! It's a really nice place to get cool shots for instagram.

Walked into this with no expectations and left content. Was a great friend/family/date experience. Came for my friends birthday and we had a nice time. Our group was large and had to be split into 2. Once we were all suited up and given instructions it was all game after that. This activity is not meant to be compared to an escape the room with the exception of team effort and effective communication 100%. The games in the rooms change monthly which make for experience to be different. It will take about an hour to get through everything and attempt to "beat the bomb". Look forward to checking out again with different groups. Pro tip: If planning to use the Yelp check-jn discount, be mindful that if a reservation for the group is in place the discount can only be used under that name even if people are paying individually.

Beat the bomb was soooo bomb lol I know that was corny to say but it's true. It was my turn to pick a spot to hang out with my siblings and I surprised them with our 1st activity together (we normally just get dinner) The key to beating the bomb is to work as a team. My siblings and I fight constantly so you can only imagine how things went down. The 1st room was a disaster. My sister was ready to walk out after about 5 mins in lol so lets hust say, we didnt do too well. The 2nd room was fun and we started getting the hang of things- less screaming and more encouraging. Overall we lost, not because we didnt know how to beat the bomb, but because of all the arguing in the 1st and 3rd room which stopped us from gaining enough time lol This is such a cute group date night activity, sibling thingy... overall fun fun. It was worth the money and yes I paid the whole bill ***cringing as I think about it

First impression, pretty hipster and Long Island friendly. Dumbo is usually a pretentious location. We booked my son's 14th birthday party. Was it worth it? You have to keep reading to see. Ok so going back to it, this place is pretty chill. Bathroom is nice and Brooklyn-like. Staff are uber-chill. The check in process was great. We paid for the VIP $69.95 (always look for discounts online) which gives us the beat the bomb game (must have a minimum of 4 guest), a 30 minute freeplay in their lackluster interactive set-up, free shirt and drinks. I suggest booking the early time slots because Dumbo parking is not fun. We came on a Sunday. The place had a nice chill vibe. The games itself is broken down in rooms much like an escape room but you have 10mins each room - win or lose. They give you these Disney interactive bands that gets scanned in these light up boxes. They SUCK!!! Many times they don't register and that's how you lose the game. Also, the screen in the room we were at was not working properly and it was hard to read instructions. I would give this a 3 or 4 stars but this place is not as bad. They could do better so Ill give them the benefit of the doubt. A must go to if you have kids. If you are joining be ready for this sensor light room. You will be crawling and running and sliding. It's fun. I would come back again. It was a great experience thus the 5 stars. Also, the free drinks are awesome for adults. I got a nice IPA. Go visit early or you'll meet the bums before you try to beat the bomb!!

I have been to many Escape Rooms of all themes and companies for years, but nothing was as interactive and fun as this! The games themselves were super fun - requires a lot of mental and physical involvement of all parties in your group and a ton of teamwork. I went for my birthday with a group of friends and our love for video games translated well here. We had a BLAST. We did end up winning, which earns you bragging rights and a cute pin. In terms of facility, the space was clean, organized, appropriate ambiance for the activities, lockers for your stuff everywhere. The service was amazing, really friendly and upbeat. The directions for what you need to do and what not to do were always clear. I'm shocked at how this hasn't exploded in popularity - it's THAT fun.

Oh man, we had a great time! A well spent New Years day in Brooklyn. We played the Cyberbot game, which was a bit confusing at first since we had no idea what we were doing! But, that's what makes it fun...you have to work as a team! First off, the staff here is amazing! Very friendly with guests and each other, it's rare to see employees happily working together that it almost seemed weird,LOL. We were greeted like family, instructions were explained well and clearly. COVID precautions were well executed: hand sanitizer everywhere, masks must be worn, staff also were masked up, I was very comfortable...thank you for that! The entire game took about 45 minutes to complete, felt much longer since we were enjoying ourselves. Best room was the laser room, you could NOT tell me I was not a spy in my past life! I crawled, rolled, momba'd through those laser lights with a bad back and a hurt knee, it was hilarious. In the end, we got bombed for not working together. Suits are provided and there are small lockers available . Suitable for families, co-workers, date nights... If you're thinking about going, do it.

Be prepared to sweat and get a good workout! This wasn't your typical escape room. Was here with a group of 15 people for a holiday corporate event and we all had a blast. The rooms weren't just "puzzles", some were physical so definitely be prepared to move around. Unlike escape rooms, it can't just be one person solving puzzles etc. Everyone needs to participate and work together as a team. Fortunately, we didn't deal with staff being rude or unfriendly. Everyone was helpful and welcoming, took photos for us, and made sure to explain everything clearly. Our headcount changed last minute and we were given a voucher for future use. They also upload videos of your team to their website everyday. There was an issue and two of our teams' videos weren't recorded (or couldn't be found) so we were given more vouchers for them to go back again to get the video this time! What an awesome staff! I definitely will be bringing a few friends back here to do this again. Our whole group was raving about how much fun this was.
