Best Napa Valley Wineries - Vineyards & Tours

"One of the oldest producers in the valley, BV offers tours of the original winery building, which dates back to 1885. The Cabernet Collector Tasting is $55 per person, the Hewitt Vineyard one is $75, and the George de Latour Legacy Experience is $130, though club members benefit from a significant discount for all three." - Food & Wine Editors

The place looks very classy and the whole design really makes it look professional and luxurious. Our waiter explained in detail about each wine we were tasting, and he was able to answer our questions. There were 3 of us, and we each liked different wines. It really depends on personal taste preference.

Daniela was probably the best host we have ever had, bar none. She was engaging, SO friendly and provided some awesome commentary around the wines and the history of BV.

Nicholas Gargano

Google
My wife and I stopped in and were able to book a tasting on short notice. Blake was our host and made this spur of the moment tasting into one of our favorite of our trip. The wine was phenomenal and the hospitality was great. We can’t wait to come back!

Google
We did the Discover Rutherford Dust tasting on Easter Sunday. Had a reservation. Grayson greeted us warmly and seated us in a private room. We enjoyed the wines poured very much, specially the Ranch 2 and Clone 6. Great host and amazing wines! Took a couple of bottles home.

Google
We had a delightful time. A beautiful location, lovely wines and Dan did a great job going above and beyond as our host. We are sure to go back

Google
Some nice reds here. Booked a tasting online and because we were staying next door we got a special discount. We only saw the tasting room which is essentially a big bar surrounded by merchandise for sale. We never really felt engaged however. I was going to join the club and grab a couple of nice cabs, but changed my mind when I was told the tasting fee for today would not be waived if I joined the club. Hmmm…

Google
Wine was good. Came for free wine taste and was treated as such. The guy that poured was nice and down to earth. People in main center.... would not probably get a membership here

Yuval K

Google
Nice winery, but the tasting area isn't that impressive. The wine is really good but if you're looking for a very special experience and scenery this isn't the one. This is strictly fpr great wines.

Yelp
Full disclosure - we are Beaulieu Wine Club members. We had just arrived from the Paso Robles leg of our trip, and Beau Lieu was the first vineyard on our plan. I picked their Legacy Experience tasting, which was paid through TOCK. The last time we went there, we did a standard tasting. I wanted to see what one of their higher tier tastings was like. I liked it. We started with a tour of the vineyard, which included looking at one of the original cars of the founders, which has been recovered and restored. The building was under construction, so some of the parts of the tour had to be filled in by our guide, who was a former harvest worker. He provided a deep tour of the vineyard, including showing us some of the equipment used to sort and then squeeze the grapes. Then we got to the wine, which was spectacular. It was a flight of 5 wines, including a 2020 Clone 169, a 2019 Madame de Latour, a 2020 Hewitt Vineyard, a delightful 2020 Georges de Latour Private Reserve, and a 2019 Hewitt Vineyard Double Plus. This also included a tasty charcutier and cheese plate. Our wine guide walked us through each tasting, noting some of the high points. He also had a cup of "Rutherford Dust" (a small cup of cocoa powder) which is one of the reasons provided why Beau Lieu wines are so good - it's in the soil, or specifically, the Rutherford Dust. It was interesting, educational, and fun. If you want more than the standard tasting, this tour should be up your alley.

Yelp
we decided to join the wine club because my husband and one of his friends both like BV wines from the grocery store. We visited for the first time a few days ago. It was a fantastic visit. I booked the tasting with sitting indoors. Wine tasting is free for members and you can invite two additional friends to come for free. This is a great benefit. The service was fantastic. Every single person that we interacted with was very friendly and wonderful. We learned a lot about the history of the winery and also the wines that they have. We visited on a Friday which was perfect because the winery was not crowded so it was relaxing and fun. Also, the staff had plenty of time to talk to us and they were very relaxed. We also learned that, they have a very large wine selection that you can only purchase at the winery. So we are eagerly awaiting our first shipment.

Yelp
Beaulieu Vineyards was our eighth winery visit of last year's Napa tour. This trek had a special meaning as my mother-in-law's maiden name is Beaulieu (but no relation to the actual family that owns it -- their name is not that). So to visit this winery was memorable not only for the amazing wines we tried during the Clone Collection tasting but the last name as well. We enjoyed 2019 vintages of the Clones 4, 169, and 6, followed by the 2018 Georges de Latour Private Reserve. Each of the wines was incredibly exquisite, rich, and luxurious on the palate, with my favorites being the Clone 6 and the Georges de Latour releases. We enjoyed the tasting in the lovely Clone tasting wing inside its main tasting room on their property. There, we picked up some swag, and my wife joined their wine club. The man who served us was incredibly friendly and ensured we had a nice experience.

Yelp
It's been 20 years, and this one was always a favorite of mine... and after this visit it still is! Took a quick tour of the operation and it is definitely bigger than our last trip... it's clear the owners(conglomerate) have invested since taking over, but still had the same small vineyard feel. After the tour we were seated in a nice bar area with another family and commenced to sipping! Server was very well versed in area history and info about where all the wines are grown and the specific conditions necessary for each. Decent Merlot and some great cab's! Considered joining the club, but we have so much at home already we need to drink...next visit! Love this place, it stays on the top of our list!

Yelp
Came here during our first trip to Napa and first getaway without the baby in 10 months. I made a reservation online and we chose to sit outside since the weather was nice at the time. We were warned about the fire station sirens which was nice because they were indeed loud but only went off for a brief moment. Grayson helped us out while there and he was amazing. He was kind and professional. He educated us about the history of BV and Cabernets in general. We was very attentive and always filled my water cup which I greatly appreciated. The wine was delicious and the patio was pretty. Inside was really nice as well we just wanted to enjoy the outdoors but I'm glad they offer both since it started raining later.

Yelp
Such a pleasant experience! If you're looking for a bunch of awesome Cabernet, this is your spot! Came here for a wine tasting because my friend is a club member. Ryan was our Wine Club Specialist and he was super knowledgeable and awesome! We were in the Member Tasting room and it was amazing! The interior design is beautiful and we loved the service. Ended up buying 2 extra bottles. Come in and enjoy!

Yelp
My visit was a short one and I was not able to do a wine tasting only because I had my 6 months only grandson with me but the lady at the counter was very accommodating And said if I wanted to I could do some wine tasting although I did not have any reservations which I thought was great! They are one of my favorite wines! This establishment is very nice! There is seating outside but the inside is where you want to be! It's very spacious and nice. Very inviting! Only reason for a 4 star is that I specifically went in looking for the special wine glasses, it's a GEORGES DE LATOUR 80th anniversary glass. The website reads 'Experience the bespoke glass for yourself through our Georges de Latour Legacy Experience. Glasses are available for purchase in our tasting room' but when I asked to buy a pair she said they were no longer for sale. All you could do was try the glass with the wine tasting. So needless to say I was very disappointed! But I will definitely go back for a wine tasting experience the next time I'm in the area! A must visit winery for sure!!!

Yelp
Recommended by a local. We stopped by. No appointment needed. Very welcoming, knowledgeable staff. Good wines. We enjoyed the pinot Grigio and Cabernet. The location is beautiful. Very simple and relaxing. Colorful landscape. It's like living in a postcard. A beautiful place to get away, relax, enjoy a glass of wine with great company and views. We had a relaxing time , enjoying wine and chats.

Yelp
Napa visitors, This has got to be one of the must-sees while visiting wine country. BV, as it's commonly referred to, is one of the older wineries in Napa and drenched in history. What makes this place so unique, other than the fabulous wines, is the staff. We were fortunate to have Robert Garcia as our host, and he might be the most knowledgeable person in Napa. I think him growing up there and retiring there to start his journey at BV makes him invaluable. He's there a few days a week, so we're lucky to have him as our guide. (He's been with BV now for almost twenty years) The best part is while visiting Robert, he can fill you in on the other wineries owned by Treasury; I don't want to spoil the surprise, but look them up and get ready--the who's who in Napa. Robert makes you feel like family, which, combined with such delicious wine, makes for the perfect Napa trip.

Yelp
The Cabernet here is wonderful but it is expensive. They pour small portions for your tasting, as most do in Napa. The service is OK but nothing stands out about it. The scenery is OK; we found other wineries in the area to be more beautiful. Still, it's a classic in the valley and its first winemaker and founder are legends.

Patrick W.

Yelp
Great wine, terrible club. BV is one of my all time favorites so we were excited to visit. After a lovely tasting we joined and bought over $700 of wine. We were still charged for the tasting and told it would be free on future visits. We've joined clubs all over the state and never run into this before. Now we've been invited to their Christmas party (ugly sweater contest cus that's so original) which also carries a fee. Other wineries use clubs to sell wine and build brand awareness, not nickel and dime loyal customers. Great wine and good host, but the petty hustling left a bad taste in our mouths.

Yelp
We were lucky enough to be directed to this vineyard by a coworker, and we are glad we listened to her! Grayson took us through our tasting, and he was fun to talk to and very very attentive. We were able to try a couple of the higher and wines on the menu, including the George variety, which was also recommended to us. We left happy and with a couple bottles in tow. I would definitely go back, but just FYI, not kid friendly.

Bob A.

Yelp
Had a very pleasant tasting experience at BV recently. Very good wines. Tasting guide was knowledgeable. Tasting moved along well, which suited our somewhat tight schedule. The setting was pleasant. The wine tasting room reminiscent of a vineyard tasting room. We were the only ones in that room (at least one of the private tasting rooms was occupied), so our tasting guide had plenty of time for our questions. Being a fan of some of BV's wines and usually have some on hand, I joined the wine club. I intend to make it back a couple of times during the year. Wines are a bit pricey, but sale prices make them worth it to me. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Amazing experience at BV! Our host, Dan was fantastic and we had the pleasure of meeting the winemaker, Trevor Durling. Thank you BV!

Yelp
This place is as bad as you can think of when it comes to customer service. We came on 7/21 and our original reservation was at 1 pm. We are running a bit late so I called and rescheduled to 2:30pm. I even got a confirmation email saying it moved to 2:30. Anyway we arrived at 2pm. Got ourself situated and the server started pouring wine and told us we have to leave by 3pm to accommodate another party. You know this is ridiculous how can we enjoy wine tasting. Things got even more crazy was that when he poured the second wine and he saw we still haven't finished the first one, he asked us to dump the wine. I aint going to talk about the wine as this can be subjective.....but damn....

Yelp
Dates Visited: Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at 4pm for a party of 3 Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at 11:30am for a party of 6 Cabernet Collector's Experience from 2021: $50 each 2017 Tapestry: Cabernet Blend 2017 Oakville: 100% Cabernet 2017 Ranch 1: 90% Cabernet, 10% Merlot 2017 Ranch 2: 100% Merlot 2017 George de Latour Private Reserve: 97% Cabernet, 3% Petit Verdot I've been here on two separate occasions. Once last year when my friend became a member and once yesterday for a bday outing. The experience in 2021 was great. My friend made a prepaid reservation (I believe online), we sat outside, got 30% off bottles of wine (for him joining), and all three of our tastings were comped. Walked away with the 4 bottles below. Our server was so much fun. Funny, personable, etc. We had a blast. Though I was toying with buying a 2017 Madame de Latour ($185 regular). They couldn't let me taste it, so I ended up passing. I didn't want to commit to such an expensive bottle without trying it first. (I have commitment issues! Lol!) 2017 George Latour Cabernet Sauvignon ($101.50 member, $145 regular) 2017 Ranch No 1 Maestro Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($66.50 member, $95 regular) 2017 Ranch No 2 Maestro Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon ($66.50 member, $85 regular) 2016 Maestro Reserve Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon ($52.50 member, $75 regular) This last time, I did not document as well, so no pix, etc. But we sat in a different area of the winery. We ended up inside across the way where members do their tastings. Since we were on a time crunch, we sat at the bar. Our tasting included one white and I believe three or four reds. I think they also poured us a bonus glass of one of the clones. Our server was wonderful and attentive. Again, I thought of buying the Madame, but we were running late to our next wine appointment, so I didn't ask about it. One of my favorite wineries where one of us is a member. One day, I will try that Madame Latour!

Yelp
If you want to be treated to a special experience, please do yourself a favor and check out Beaulieu. The history and ambiance of this place are noteworthy!! The guest service is so authentic and warm that I feel lucky to have experienced such a lovely spot. The wines are approachable and yet have that sophisticated feel of the luxury brands we dream of encountering. The standout was the George La Tour, but the Ranch 2 was also wonderful! Those were just our favorites. Please DM me if you are curious because I should have a bunch arriving home soon!!

Yelp
This is the most unprofessional treatment I have ever experienced at a winery. We made a reservation for 4pm on Sunday 11/27 and we called to say we'd be 15 minutes late. We arrived at 4:15pm and the brown-haired woman greeted us by emphasizing multiple times that they do last pour at 5pm no matter what. Ok, that's fine. After we sat down, she singled out one person in our four-person group to check her ID. She went inside with the ID and never came back until we asked for the ID back 20 minutes later. At this point it's 4:40 and we have not been poured our second wine yet. How do they expect us to taste four more wines by 5:00pm? She finally comes back and says that she cannot serve my friend more wines because her ID is suspicious, but she can serve the rest of us. My friend is 27 years old and has a perfectly valid New York state ID that she has never had an issue with at any establishment, including bars and TSA at the airport. I have absolutely no idea why she decided to single out my friend and deny her service. She did not even ID the rest of us - one of my friends was even younger (24 years old), so it makes absolutely no sense. We ended up leaving since our friend was refused service for no reason. The winery said they would refund us the cost of our tastings.

Yelp
Excellent wine! Tasting was great! Highly recommend it! Loved the 2018 George de latour ! Awesome experience and best wine tasting of the day during our trip. All the wine we tasted was fine wine! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
I was told by a friend to go here. We had reservation for a birthday surprise. The service was not friendly, the ambiance was definitely nothing special. Their red wines are good but there are definitely other places to go in Napa where you can get great service, ambiance, and wine. Definitely would not go back. Was very disappointed and ultimately walking out. Will be canceling our club membership program.

Yelp
A group of us came here to do some wine tasting a few weekends ago. We went with their Cab Collector's Experience($50 per person). This tasting covered 5 Red Wines and our host was charming and funny. As for the tasting room and grounds, it is full of charm and history. So much history since they were founded in 1900. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. As for my tasting experience, I personally did not get the wow factor from anything I sampled but they were all solid. The wines I did taste were the 2017 Oakville, 2017 Tapestry, 2017 Ranch 1, 2017 Ranch 2, and actually I got to also sample the 2017 George de Latour Private Reserve(97% Cab, 3% Petit Verdot) as part of this tasting package. BV is a solid winery to get some wine tasting in, and they're located near several other notable wineries as well. Plus we had a solid dinner not too far from here in the downtown area.

Blaine J.

Yelp
Fantastic wine tasting today with our family. Jamie was our sommelier and she was great. Very educational, patient, entertaining and enthusiastic throughout the entire tasting.
google avatar

Charlie R.

Yelp
BV is definitely one of my favorite spots in Napa! I was fortunate enough to join my friend who is a member for a Club Tasting experience. Their reds are each so unique and wonderful (from George to their Clones, Ranch 1 + 2, plus Tapestry). Even their whites impress both myself and my friend who is more exclusively a red drinker. The dessert wines (most notably the port) are a fantastic tasting experience that you'll probably walk away with a bottle or two. Will absolutely be back soon and always a great experience.
google avatar

Tony L.

Yelp
It's always a pleasure talking to wine lovers out there. And enjoying the atmosphere, food and service that was provided.
google avatar

Zack R.

Yelp
Good wine, not our favorite but not bad by any means. Friendly server. Interesting history.
google avatar

Ron P.

Yelp
Kerry and Greyson were awesome. They added to the whole experience to compliment the wonderful wine.
google avatar

Sheryl R.

Yelp
Loved the wine as always. But as a wine club member living out of state I expected a little more. There were no stories or real interaction with the sommelier who told us more than once he had only been doing this for a month. With the exception of BV's good wine, my overall experience was disappointing.

Jeannie P.

Yelp
What a wonderful place to try wines in Nappa! Kerry and Grayson, our server were amazing. Made our experience so great and we're so welcoming. The wine was great and ambiance was so entertaining!
google avatar

Jacqueline N.

Yelp
My friends and I did a private wine tasting for 9 people and when we arrived, we were immediately brought to our own private room. Brad hosted and taught us so much about the vineyard's history as well as how to enjoy the wine and added jokes all around. BV is known for their red wines so we had 5 tastings of the different ones. It was a fun time but I do wish there were cheese or crackers to pair with the wine like other wineries. Overall, fun tasting experience!
google avatar

Paddy O.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised how good the wines are here. Note the wine you see at Safeway, retail, etc is not the same wine. Ask for Dan who is fantastic wealth of knowledge and funny AF. We are members of a few wine clubs and joined here. Super excited to be drinking some of their big boy CABs!! The 2019 LaTour just got 100 points. FYI: we didn't have an appointment and walked right in. They sat us immediately.
google avatar

Kerem Y.

Yelp
Let me start saying that they have the best Cabernet in entire Napa valley. You can like Cabernet but you will love their Cabernet. Service was phenomenal. Especially telling us about the history of the property and winemaking process was one of my favorite moments. Love the old car by the main entrance. Makes the entire place unique. If you ever go to wine tasting in Napa, this is where you want to go as I will again soon! Thanks for all hospitality and great wine!
google avatar

Tracey A.

Yelp
For as far back as I can remember, BV has been a consistent, always good, well-priced wine. If you're scanning the shelves and don't want to think too hard, pull off a bottle of BV and you're good to go. Nobody will be disappointed by BV's wines. It's that sort of familiar, no-nonsense approach which you'll also find in their winery. The staff is friendly and unpretentious and the tasting experience rather quick but not rushed (4 tastings, $30). It was at another winery, on the Silverado Trail, where a staffer recommended I do BV's Legacy Tasting (of their De Latour wines) but at $125 that recommendation was too rich for my blood. To enjoy the basic tasting for the plebeian class, a host ushers you downstairs into a windowless space which is sort of the antithesis of wine country chic but it works well for what they're selling. The setting won't inspire you to linger and that's okay; there are many more places nearby which will. BV is one of those old school, original Napa Valley wineries and I enjoyed it but I will add this: There are many other old school, original Napa Valley wineries in the area whose tasting rooms are prettier (Krug and Trefethen come to mind). If all you care about is wine though, as always, BV will satisfy and if you spring for more than the most basic tasting I'd bet you'll be a bit more than that.

Yelp
A few weeks ago our family chose to have a reunion of sorts in Napa Valley. We (all12 of us) toured the valley, it was a wonderful experience! But...nothing compared to our visit with Beaulieu Vineyard. B.V. Was the highlight for many reasons; *Beaulieu Vineyard is 'Iconic' One of the oldest wineries in the valley...widely known for their continued excellence in the world of wines! *The Staff Roxanna and Kerry were knowledgeable and friendly and clearly proud of the history and products they are part of! *The Wines 2019 George De Latour Private Reserve 2019 Madame De Latour Red Blend Tapestry Reserve Maestro Cabernet Sauvignon They were Wonderful!!! The tour and tasting were filled with notes of history and winemaking, but presented in a way that was entertaining and fun! We were even treated to a chance meeting of Trevor Durling (the wine maker)! He filled us in on even more history of this beautiful place and the winemaking process. Ps Don't let his young looks and fun personality fool you...his 2019 George De Latour Private Reserve just received a 100 point rating!!! We're all looking forward to our next visit! Thank you Kerry for being such a wonderful host! Pep and Pete

Yelp
The wonderful hospitality that was provided by "Kerry" was top notch! She went out of her way to ensure we have a wonderful Napa Valley experience! This was a beautiful winery with some of the best wines we tasted all day!
google avatar

Yelp
We did the clone tasting on 2/26/22. The staff was very knowledgeable about the science behind the clone selection process and the vineyard. We had a great time and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
The tasting prices are outrageous here for the quality of the wines. We did not purchase any wines here which tells you something. I would give 1* but the pour staff was super nice. However I did not like having to wait 10 minutes for someone to ring me up. Need to empower your employees with simple tasks like charging a credit card. On the plus side it is easy to walk in without a reservation. I would treat this as a last option if everything else is booked.
google avatar

Sammi M.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday afternoon to enjoy a tasting reservation with my husband. We chose the cab sav experience and started right on time with our server Brad. Brad was so funny with a great amount of knowledge and so engaging the whole visit. The wines were also good and you were able to get a good variety of price points in the one tasting. Overall it was a good visit and I'd recommend a stop in!
google avatar

Lori S.

Yelp
We had a great experience at BV and highly recommend it!!! Out host, Dan, did an outstanding job sharing his extensive wine knowledge. We learned much and had a great time! BV wine is at the top of our Napa delicious list and the experience was the best! We cannot wait to receive our wine club bottles so we can continue this great wine-tasting experience. Thank you Dan and BV for an amazing experience!!

Gaea A.

Yelp
Such a gorgeous winery and the service is always top notch! Millie is amazing and goes above and beyond for the guests. Charming decor, beautiful location and landscaping combined with amazing service and wines makes for a lovely day!!

Yelp
Awesome Muscat Canelli SITREP Enjoyed my stop by the winery to take in a quick winery tour and to do some sips. THE SETUP Beautiful wine tasting bar on the inside. The gents were pleasant (AND hiLarious) as pleasingly warm summer day. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/beaulieu-vineyard-rutherford-2?select=xwKv9JvMbPgS5HStkJiYCw And they are full of tons o' knowledge that they impart upon us patrons as to the wines, the winery, the histories of wine-making in Napa Valley, etc. etc. You couldn't ask for better wine docents. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/beaulieu-vineyard-rutherford-2?select=d0cLRocpChi7A_2IeUDVVQ TOURING So much to see inside the winery facility as well... * From historic pictures https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/beaulieu-vineyard-rutherford-2?select=z3ARxQ1Ur0LWVKnh89cRxA * To beautiful displays https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/beaulieu-vineyard-rutherford-2?select=lVZ-GkkPQU0Na6MmKShQFw * From Tools of the Trade of Days Gone By https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/beaulieu-vineyard-rutherford-2?select=Jzs8vLRyVb4_5Hnj3Ju-TA * To Large Modern Tanks https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/beaulieu-vineyard-rutherford-2?select=W2nUDYw1Qb5avCMjPsA23Q&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w [Replete with historic old European nation sigils!] https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/beaulieu-vineyard-rutherford-2?select=aofjS4LFwGIUs06d9r3WnQ You really get a complete tour. MUSCAT CANELLI I enjoy white wines, the sweet whites most of all (though I am partial to reds like Shiraz and Malbec). But on this foray, I was quite smitten by the Muscat Canelli ($28), and sadly, the bottle has already been consumed on quite the enjoyable picnic. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/beaulieu-vineyard-rutherford-2?select=GwgcE0yVv5GnX7nStIHjUQ And I'm packed up and ready to go! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/beaulieu-vineyard-rutherford-2?select=TTlaYEL3YMQqGGQQCp-7KA THE LOWDOWN I must go back sometime for another bottle of Muscat!

Yelp
The middle aged woman took my ID away for like 15 minutes and didn't give it back till we asked for it. She then insistent that she hasn't seen a NY ID with a CA address or some shit and denied me drinks. She didn't even ask for any other ppl's ID in the same group. My boyfriend is like 23... And I'm like 27 wtf. And she insisted that she had never seen anything like that in 30 years????? They are so unprofessional that they don't even have a ID Scanner????

Yelp
Service an be a little quirky, but, this is the it club if you love great wines. I recommend you join the wine club because the wine tastings are fantastic and can be extended to a friend group. There are several different tasting areas on this property and they all have pleasant staff. If you're going to go make a reservation. It can be a little busy.

Wine was sub par, but the review is mostly due to the poor customer service we received while entering. People come to these establishments for fun, cheer and good wine. None of these were achieved today. First time in Napa, last time at this place.

Yelp
This is probably one of the most interesting winery's that I have been to, the history behind this winery is fascinating. We were greeted by Robert Garcia and a bottle of Rose wine(amazing)he gave us a tour of the cellar and gave us the history of the beautiful vineyard ownership and the behind the scenes of the wine process, very knowledgeable man I should add After our tour we came back to the winery patio which is spectacular and we tasted some delicious reds, my favorite was Tapestry and the 1978 Georges De Latour Cabernet was pretty amazing "I can only imagine the price" We also had some appetizers, cheeses, salami, bread, crackers, dried fruits, and more wine. They really outdid themselves to with the presentation of the winery and the tasting of their fabulous wine. I will definitely come back to BV vineyard and bring family and friends for a wine tasting and enjoy the beautiful outdoor patio... Definitely recommend stopping at this place for a fabulous wine tasting*****Cheers to Beaulieu Vineyard ***

Yelp
2/16/20 I only realized this was the "BV" wine I always see in various markets after we left, but since I didn't actually think about this while having a tasting, I guess my ratings wouldn't be so colored? Anyway, before we get to the wines, I will say the place is nice. "The place" is the "Main Tasting Room" btw. I just quickly looked at others' pics, and some are far nicer than my own. So, we didn't get to see any of that. Apparently the main room is the least fancy, k? So just keep in mind we didn't see that good stuff... Anyway nothing particularly fancy looking where we went, but it was cozy, and not too crowded. Their setup is kinda weird--the upper floor where you enter gives you access to some set of their more normal offerings. Tables are high-end wood pieces, with great expensive looking chairs. The staff is really nice too, and always talk with a smile. They also have an area down a winding staircase where I think they have more wines. My gf was tired, so we just grabbed a seat at the main area, outside of the $$$ stuff. It was fine. (And again, there is a fancier tasting room somewhere else on the grounds. I think it's a lot nicer based on the pics I saw. But we only stayed here.) And OH!--this was during our 2nd anniversary! Guess I should note that. You know what's really cool?--so we were heading out to fancy schmancy Michelin-star restaurant Auberge du Soleil that night, and who knew, but my gf booked a nanny that would come stay at the hotel with our baby while we stuffed our faces! I never knew you could get nanny's to come to your hotel room. So cool! Okay anyway... Oh, and one more thing--they have an entire counter JUST FOR CHINESE. This may or may not matter to you. But whatever... 1. Sauvignon Blanc: Aroma is very strong and smells of fermentation. The taste is full body with a bright finish. I liked it. 7/10 2. Zinfandel: A little brighter than other zinfandels it seems to me. A little overly acidic but does have a lovely sweeter body. Also, a bit peppery in a good way. 5/10 3. Cabernet Syrah: Not my favorite. Kinda harsh and flavors were mixed up. 4/10 4. 5 Red: I liked it better than the C.S. Nice sweeter body. Very drying to the tongue. Slightly bitter at the end. 6/10 5. Cabernet: Not my thing. On the drier side and bold, but flavor is flat. Also bitter. 5/10 6. Latore Cabernet: Definitely better than the standard cab. Rounder in taste, but still retains that very dry finish. Has the a brief moment of characteristically bold flavor at the back of the throat, but too momentary. 7/10 Anyway, it was a decent experience. Cost was $21.55 per tasting but we had a discount due to staying at the Rancho Caymus Inn hotel next door. I'm not sure, but I believe the discount was 50% off?--if so, that makes this a $40+ tasting, which is kinda on the expensive side. 3/5 #napavalley #winecountry #weddinganniversary #anniversary #foodtrip #winery #winetasting #napawine

Yelp
Four of us arrived at the empty tasting room and discussed with the staff what we wanted to buy. After a few minutes we decided on one full tasting and a glass of wine, at which point the site manager said she had people coming in-- she didn't know exactly when -- and said she could not give us one if the many empty seats inside, but could only seat us outside-- on a 94° day! I explained I could not drink red wine in that heat, but was still told there was no room at the completely empty inn. I explained we had come from NY, she didn't care. We'll certainly never return.

Yelp
Amazing experience.Robert knew everything from wine information and history to stories of families involved both past and present. Did heritage collection and wines were superb. The final touch in the specially designed glass hit the mark for all over mouth tasting. Couldn't have been better. Inside as patio needs some rethinking for quality and ambiance.

Yelp
Incredibly rude and disrespectful. They obviously do not care about their customers. A woman at the establishment was especially making passive aggressive remarks, was super slow to serve at 4:15, we did not get a second glass by 4:45, yet was rushing us out the door at 5. The wine was okay, not amazing.
