"An all-day cafe and diner in a historic San Antonio district serving comforting breakfast classics—Benedicts, hearty burritos, honeybuns, parfaits, chicken and waffles, large pancakes, omelets, and biscuits and gravy—alongside lunch and dinner sandwiches like a patty melt, three-cheese grilled cheese, and Reuben, plus a 'Not Breakfast' section with homestyle entrees such as pozole, green chicken enchiladas, smothered pork chop, chicken-fried steak, and meatloaf." - Brittany Britto Garley

This restaurant is truly a tiny gem. They have a wonderful breakfast menu. My friend and I got the chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, and one pancake, all of which were delicious. I will say this is truly a tiny diner so on the weekends, you may have a bit of a wait. Also, it will be difficult to accommodate parties larger than four. I would say that this is a great place for one to two people to come for breakfast. They are opening their airstream trailer for the summer to serve coffee and juices out of which will be fun. Also, there is a TV behind the counter playing Seinfeld. It’s great

Everything about this place is wonderful. The building itself is absolutely adorable and the minute one walks in they are greeted by the friendliest of staff. The menu contains unique items with reasonable pricing, and the food is delicious. I also loved the look and cleanliness of the bathroom but unfortunately did not take a photo of it. I will without a doubt be coming back to this gem of a restaurant.

Very nice and clean place with friendly staff that are very attentive. I had the King Willy’s club sandwich and it was delicious! Fresh and made to perfection with the bacon perfectly crispy…and the fries?! Those fries were so delicious! You can taste the love on the food. We also ordered the chicken sandwich. To end the meal we had the waffle sundae for dessert. Everything was just right! Small cozy spot with great menu options. Parking is a bit challenging, but overall a great place in a great location to walk off the meal when you are done eating.

Small diner downtown that is relatively new. The inside of the restaurant was small, but had a bit more seating than expected. The drawback of such a small space was the noise. There was music, everyone's voices and the sound of the waitresses clinking and clacking with the silverware in the kitchen. My wife and I found it a bit difficult to have a meaningful conversation. One of the items on the menu I was most excited to try was their honey bun. From the pictures and vids that I've seen, it looked promising. Sadly, in person it was sad looking and dry on the inside. There was also a lack of glaze on top of the bun. I also ordered the chicken fried steak and my wife chose the patty melt. The chicken fried steak was hot and made to order. Sadly, it was under seasoned, as the green beans were more flavorful. Besides that, the crust was nice and lay under a generous serving of gravy. On to the patty melt! The bread was literally garnished with a very liberal dose of sea salt, along with an overly salty beef patty. These critiques are personally from my wife, as I did not care to give it a try. So you can feel free to take her words with a grain of salt (no pun intended). Service was ok. After we received our food, our waitress basically forgot about us and focused on setting up silverware and helping around the kitchen. Not a horrible experience, but this joint was not it. Beau, you've got some work to do. 3.4/5

Flavor: A Service: B Tea: A Solo Dining: B There are pantries in The Dominion bigger than this restaurant but don’t let the size fool you… they’re serving up big flavors at Beau’s Tiny Diner. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was delicious - each part deserving of its own recognition - the homemade biscuits, the flavorful gravy, and the hearty sausage. My server disappeared for a long while but some others eventually stepped in. I’d like to come back and keep trying other things assuming it’s all as good as the biscuits and gravy!

I went to Beau’s Tiny Diner with my friend, and it really lives up to its name—it’s definitely tiny inside, but super cute and cozy. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and they were delicious and so flavorful, with perfect beans and crispy hash browns just the way I like them. My friend got the Classic Benedict and enjoyed it overall, though she felt the ham was a little too thick and wasn’t a fan of the English muffin they used. The service was really good and everyone was friendly. They did forget to bring out our appetizer until after we had finished our meals, but they handled it well and took it off the tab, which we appreciated. All in all, a great little spot with tasty food—we’d definitely go back!

This place has not even been open for 2 weeks and my hunny and I have been here 3 times already. It is pricey but you get what you paid for. There’s omelets everywhere, but this is an above average omelet and the hunny bun had a nice crisp on the outside. Reminded me of a funnel cake. I wish I would’ve taken a photo of the patty melt and fries I had on the first visit, but omg….it was amazing!!!!! The meatloaf as well!!!! It’s a must try.

My mom and I stopped in for an early birthday brunch and this couldn’t have been a better choice! We got lucky and were able to get sat right away. Doesn’t seem like that would always be the case, the restaurant stayed full the entire time. Our server, Aldo, was incredible and very attentive to every detail! We ordered the chicken and waffles and the breakfast burrito (get it smothered); both were recommended by our server. As if the service wasn’t great enough, the GM Tony stopped by to make sure everything was going good. He was very outgoing and made us feel so welcome! If you’re looking for a great spot with fun vibes, this is your go-to spot!

Yelp
While it is a very small location, the vibe is friendly and staff smiling. The food was incredibly tasty. I ordered the Not French Omelet that was flavorful with a great soft texture full of veggies. I also ordered the pancakes which were huge and fluffy and the first bite (without syrup) was mouth watering, buttery and sweet. It satisfied my breakfast craving without question...definitely try it!

Yelp
One of the best small diners I've ever been to. Beau's Tiny Diner is a true gem in San Antonio, and every visit feels special. The food is absolutely delicious. Their breakfast burrito is hands down the BEST I've found since moving back from LA. It's loaded, flavorful, and made even better with their house made poblano sauce (do yourself a favor and don't skip it). And Howie's Honeybun is a MUST when visiting. It's the perfect sweet treat to go with your coffee. The service is incredible. Every single waiter and staff member is so down to earth and attentive. They even came outside to bring our dog a piece of bacon and a bowl of water, such a kind and thoughtful touch that meant a lot. The vibe is everything you want from a diner. They play that warm retro diner music that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time, and the whole place just feels welcoming. On a breezy San Antonio morning (which we don't get too often), sitting outside is a must. You can enjoy breakfast with a view of the Tower of the Americas and soak up the charm of the King William area. My family, my friends, and even my dog all give Beau's Tiny Diner our highest recommendation. It's rare to find a spot that checks all the boxes, amazing food, amazing people, and a genuinely great atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Okay so we accidentally ended up at Beau's Tiny Diner after our original brunch spot ghosted us (their hours were fictional). But fate said "nah, you're going to Beau's," and now I'm obsessed. This place is adorable -- but don't let the size fool you. The flavor? Classic. The energy? Vibrant. The humans? Lovable. We got lucky and sat right away, but everyone who came in after us had to wait. (Pro tip: arrive hungry and early, or be ready to romanticize standing outside for a bit.) The manager Tony came over and chatted like we were regulars. This man is hospitality personified. He didn't even know that we were in our brunch flop era, and asked if we lived close... He literally gave us the most genuine appreciation and thanked us for making the trip. He SAW us. Like?? Sir?? I would fight for you now and forever. Tony also hit us with some elite menu recs. My fiancé ordered the breakfast with a pork chop (based on the rec) and cleaned his plate like it was his job. I got a biscuit breakfast sandwich because Tony said we could do whatever subs we wanted on the menu. Love the flexibility. Shout out to the seasoned hashbrowns. So nice that they were actually flavored. Almost too salty, but after the bland potato trauma of other diners, I respect it. Also after I requested milk with my coffee, our server brought me more with every refill WITHOUT asking. If that's not love, idk what is. Yes, the kitchen forgot my bacon and the aioli, but they fixed it. The space is teeny-tiny and the whole team was moving like a brunch ballet back there, so I get it. They're clearly in their opening stretch, still finding their rhythm -- but the vibe, the kindness, and the people make it so worth it. If you're looking for a TikTok-worthy spot with soul, Beau's is that girl. It's giving diner-core with Jewish roots. It's giving "we actually care if you're having a good day." It's giving me another reason to come back.

Yelp
Beau's is a cute/small diner, and it's highly recommended to arrive early to avoid the breakfast rush. Fortunately, we arrived just in time. The staff members were extremely nice and friendly. My family and I ordered breakfast plates, and the food was cooked well. The pancakes are enormous, and I highly recommend sharing them. However, we were disappointed by the limited menu options, the seasoning profile of the items, the scarcity of toddler-friendly choices, and the pricing.

Yelp
Friendly, cute, delicious. We went on a Saturday night, but early, so it was easy to get a table. I was surprised they gave us such tiny water glasses (about 8 oz) but they constantly refilled them throughout the meal, making me feel really cared for. The staff was very friendly. The manager, Tony, came over and talked to every table: he is just delightful. We ordered meatloaf and the green chicken enchiladas. It was all very good. They serve breakfast all day here. Seinfeld was streaming on the one TV. There are limited tables, but you also have the option of sitting at a bar overlooking South Alamo, or one that watches the kitchen.

Yelp
Nice cozy dinner with a simple straight forward menu of classic dinner fair. The services is fantastic. So is the food. Everything is made fresh. They don't take reservations but I've never had a long wait. They have a trailer to wait in if it's full so you can stay out of the weather. Save room for an amazing slice of pie.

Yelp
Super small venue, but well taken care of with a super friendly staff. I was very impressed with their menu and the quality of the food. The pricing is a bit high, but in the area, it is on par. Try the oatmeal for a stick to your bones breakfast option.

Yelp
This local diner is such a hidden gem! The food is fresh, flavorful, and always served hot. You can tell they put love into every plate. The atmosphere has such a welcoming, hometown vibe. it's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a good meal, and feel right at home. The staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole place just radiates good energy. Perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or just grabbing a coffee with friends!

Yelp
I'm giving this place 4 stars because I think the direction and potential are present, but some things need to be addressed. First, the food was delicious. I had the diner plate. Hash browns were well seasoned, eggs cooked to perfection and toast was just right, fresh, and not overly or underly buttered. Second, the place is small but cozy and clean. This place is NOT for large groups. A family of 11, took up 3 tables and were louder than the kitchen and the music. That's not on Beau's. That's on those reading this review. I understand a group of 6 but in a small place like this, be considerate. Maybe not best for 5 children under 5 at 8 am. Asks of Beau's: You need a heating lamp for the food waiting to be served. It sat on the counter and with the fans going, got cold fast. Our table was right by the counter (not far to travel) yet the gravy was ice cold by the time it came to us. Add another person to check on folks, refill coffee, run plates, clean tables, seat folks, answer questions. Their job is to do every other job thats needed in the moment that's not waiting a table or cooking. Breakfast is for breakfast. Until you become a well-oiled machine, I'd recommend breakfast only 8-11:30. Two people had chicken fried steak with green beans and a shake. And all the other tables that ordered breakfast were waiting, waiting, waiting. Once their dinner order was out, then people started getting breakfast. Because it's such a tiny spot, dinner and breakfast can't coincide unless you have it down to a science. Turn down the music. It's way too loud. I couldn't hear the person two feet across from me, let alone the person asking my order.

Yelp
Great find... thank you yelp and influencers. Small location seating ability of maybe 28 people inside but very cozy, clean and spacious for the size. I rolled in on at Thursday evening so the traffic was very light and seated immediately. Ordered musket a root beer float- very tasty... and tried a smothered fried pork chop! ... it's been a while since I've seen chicken fried pork chop on a menu. 5 star flavor and decent portion size! This place did not disappoint! Try it and thank them later! Enjoy!

Yelp
So, both tiny diner really is tiny, which is cute if you don't mind small spaces. The food and customer service are well worth it. We went on a Saturday morning and we were lucky to get seated without a reservation. We saw many others turned away. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, which was pretty good. My husband had the omelette and it was delicious and hearty and so hot you could see steam coming from it. I asked for crispy hashbrowns and they were made to order. We started off with a honey bun and coffee. The coffee is excellent. I personally wasn't a fan of the honey bun, but my husband enjoyed it.

Yelp
Such a cute place! Love the oldies music and feel of the place..... Food was good but the best thing there was the honey bun!!! Get it! It was freakin delicious!!!

Yelp
We didn't have to wait, Food was below average, nothing special, low quality. $5 coffee served in a small cup tasted no better than convenience store coffee. Big hype and overpriced for the quality.

Arianna H.

Yelp
Our server Anna was amazing. She was welcoming and very knowledgeable on the menu. We came on a Sunday morning around noon. The "no reservation" notice almost scared us away for a tiny place on Sunday, but we waited less than 30 minutes and once seated everything was quick and insanely delicious. From ordering, food was on the table in less than 10 minutes. Pancakes and waffles were so fluffy. All plates were huge servings. Atmosphere was what a diner should be. Great spot.

Yelp
The diner is cute. It has the old school diner feel and it's on a good strip in Southtown. It's clean, service was pleasant. My son had the patty melt which he loved and the fries cut like chips were great. I had chicken fried steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans with mushrooms in them. The chicken fried steak and potatoes were delicious. The green beans and mushrooms were super salty and tasted canned. I don't mind canned goods it's that they tasted canned. I don't know how to explain that.
google avatar

Veronica N.

Yelp
The restaurant has very limited seating however the atmosphere is very pleasant. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Will definitely be returning to try other dishes on the menu.

Yelp
Nestled at 1001 N. Alamo St. in San Antonio, Beau's has recently opened its doors as of 4/19, and our visit was focused on evaluating some breakfast staples for our Yelp review, specifically their Biscuits + Gravy (priced at $9), and to which we added an egg for $2 and sausage for $3, totaling $14), and the much-talked-about Chef's Pancakes (at $14 for a stack of three that are supposedly plate-filling), alongside noting the overall location; when it came to the Biscuits + Gravy, we were particularly interested in the quality of the gravy - rich and peppery, and the texture of the biscuits themselves - fluffy and buttery, the Chef's Pancakes were another key focus, and we were eager to see if they truly lived up to the description of being large enough to fill the plate, as well as to evaluate their texture and flavor, and whether they were served with ample butter and syrup; beyond the food, Beau's - is it easily accessible, park in the hood!

Yelp
First time visit and impressions the location in the King William's estate and South Alamo of San Antonio. Facility is very nice quiet decor the menu is simple small selection no complaints. San to say the food had no flavor everything was bland. I order the breakfast sandwich like a egg bacon McMuffin no seasoning and my hash taste like a spoiled potato from the barrel and my wife had the chicken enchiladas with black beans and white rice just say she was disappointed. The owner Mr. Tony was very nice but waitress during our visit wasn't very welcoming even though I tipped her above 20% of the total bill she could have gotten much more. I don't recommend unless the food improve upon its flavoring of there dishes which can be a great casual spot to dine.
google avatar

Yelp
Cool spot, indeed a tiny diner with a cool vibe. Overall, it was a good experience and the food was decent. I'd go back to try a couple other items. I wasn't blown away by the food. The Green Pozole is just okay and different, more like a salsa.
google avatar

Byrd B.

Yelp
I went for a late dinner on a weeknight. I was a little surprised to find only one table occupied. Contemporary music was blaring on the sound system- a real turnoff. But I'm very glad I took a seat! The music quickly changed and in a short time the diners arrived. I had the Diner Chop Salad. It was great and reasonably healthy. I liked the vibe and found parking easy at least on a late weeknight.
google avatar

Yelp
As good as breakfast gets, mimosas, eggs Benedict cooked perfectly with a buttery hollandaise, my eggs over medium were "over medium" like I asked. Crispy bacon., my sausage was cooked a little extra but still good. Coffee was nice and hot and the service was welcoming and attentive., thanks Beaus tiny diner, 5 stars!!!!! Ate too fast for the before pics but the after sends the message

Yelp
Loved the food, loved the service, loved the building. Can't go wrong with the chicken fried steak/chicken! It has that vintage diner feel, so cap off your visit with a milkshake!

Yelp
If you're thinking about eating at @Beau's Tiny Diner, go with an open mind! Nice environment and service but the food was not up to par for a diner! I ordered the chicken and waffles, the first time.....the waffle was grossly over cooked and burnt! The second order of chicken waffles was undercooked and the waffle was not fully cooked! I did not take any pictures and did not order any more food. Oh, my first coffee was watered down but the mimosa was good. I chose to come to the diner...... your experience may be better than mine!
google avatar

Felix S.

Yelp
The food here is awesome and the service is very friendly. They also play some old classics music.

Yelp
Great food! I ordered Chicken and waffles, my husband had Eggs Benedict. The service was excellent!

Yelp
Over priced, over hyped. There are better places to choose in SouthTown that don't have such contentious ownership.

Yelp
Cute spot! Went late night on a Sunday and no wait. Love the diner concept and variety of menu items. The chicken and waffles were delicious. Also ordered Em's Crispy Tacos. The beef filling was good, but was disappointed it was served in a store bought shell... tough to see, especially in San Antonio. Wouldn't recommend. Wanted to order the chicken fried steak, but it was already sold out. Overall though, enjoyed the meal... super cute ambiance, friendly staff and would definitely come again.

Ulysses G.

Yelp
The cutest quaint diner! 10/10 service. The whole staff was very welcoming and made me feel right at home. I highly recommend the smothered pork chop and Howie's honeybun! Comfort food at its finest! Beautiful job. Thank you Beaus!

Ian R.

Yelp
Rude staff. long wait times in the hot sun. I waited 20 minutes before they even put me on the waiting list.

Christina B.

Yelp
Small- but mighty. We came opening day with no reservation and they were able to accommodate us. We sat at the bar- got to see all the action. The service was great and they were definitely working hard. Spicy chicken sandwich and pancakes were a hit. Cute concept- highly recommend!

Vesta M.

Yelp
The pancake was amazing, but everything else was too greasy and very unhealthy. But I guess for those that like diner-style food, might be good. Not for me.

Chantal M.

Yelp
I really wanted to try this place and I had great expectations. This place sits about 24 people (Tiny for sure). We get there, open the door and the hostess tells me Across the restaurant to hold and wait outside. He came out 10 minutes later and asked if I still want to be on the waitlist...ah yes,Isn't that why we waited outside for him to put us on the waitlist? (It was only four of us btw). An hour later,we get our table and the server asked as we are sitting, If we are ready to order? We were barely sitting and haven't even looked at the menu so we said no,not yet, give us a minute please. With an attitude she rolled her eyes and said, oh And walked away. She is the only server for everyone in there by the way. They have a man cleaning and serving waters as you sit. Well we ordered. Three of the four plates were served but time passed and I was not getting my food so I asked the hostess and he went to the waitress (which was sitting next to us chatting with the customers while taking their order)as She checked our ticket she was saying "No,I put in everything...oooh I forgot to put hers in" The hostess apologized and said they will get my food asap. I cancelled my food because by the time all this happened, everyone on the table had already finished. Also where in this city, you order a sweet tea and they serve it in a 8 oz glass? I took like 2 zips and it was gone.

Sharon B.

Yelp
Three of us walked in on a weekday for lunch and were able to find seats (but it is tiny)! My husband had the pozole and my sister and I had meatloaf plates. My sister raved about the green beans and mashed potatoes on the side. The food was so good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are hungry, choose meatloaf! I took some home for a meatloaf sandwich. We are happy to recommend them and look forward to returning soon.

Denisse C. I.

Yelp
The food was exceptional. So authentic. So delicious. Layers of flavors. It's a must try. No doubt.

Julie G.

Yelp
Food was portioned small and overly salted. Service was slow even though our waitress had only 2 tables. The atmosphere was cute, the concept is well done. Just wish the food tasted better.

David D.

Yelp
Food is delicious, and tasty. Service is great. Cute little restaurant. I'll be back soon
