Beau’s Tiny Diner

I cannot wait for this restaurant to grow. It has a lot of potential. First the tables have preset caddies for ketchup and hot sauce, my biggest concern are the ones that are left outside in the 95 plus degree heat. Also my ketchup bottle was pretty disgusting on the top and you can tell it wasn't cleaned. The waitress was super nice and bubbly but at the same time she's having to see people, work all the tables, and clean the tables. She's a little frazzled and caught her talking about customer's orders with the kitchen in a negative way, and on how they modified their order too much and also using curse words quite loudly. She's cute but if you want to pay higher prices, I expect a more respectful presence. Food: this was the biggest pancake I've ever gotten. It's huge and fluffy. I highly recommend sharing it and I wish it had been cooked just a tad more as the underside was not done. Chicken fried steak was fantastic, loved the gravy. It was a little salty, but that's to be expected. The green beans how great flavor but they were not cooked long enough for me and I didn't eat them because they felt too raw. I will go back in a couple months to give them a second try.

Let me start by saying the meat loaf was 2 big slices cooked to perfection! Crispy corners nice and hot when served. I substituted my mashed taters for hash browns and kept the greens. My wife got the diner breakfast plate. In her words it was amazing. The pancakes are massive! So be prepared. I highly recommend ! Also it’s a must you sit at the bar and watch all the food being cooked up by the chefs !

Yum! Beau’s is an absolute Gem 💎 We went for brunch, super friendly host person today, great service and fabulous food! The best smothered breakfast burrito I’ve ever had, delish migas -everything so flavorful- and lovely patio table as as well as nice indoor space. Highest recommendation 💎💎💎💎💎

This restaurant is truly a tiny gem. They have a wonderful breakfast menu. My friend and I got the chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, and one pancake, all of which were delicious. I will say this is truly a tiny diner so on the weekends, you may have a bit of a wait. Also, it will be difficult to accommodate parties larger than four. I would say that this is a great place for one to two people to come for breakfast. They are opening their airstream trailer for the summer to serve coffee and juices out of which will be fun. Also, there is a TV behind the counter playing Seinfeld. It’s great

Everything about this place is wonderful. The building itself is absolutely adorable and the minute one walks in they are greeted by the friendliest of staff. The menu contains unique items with reasonable pricing, and the food is delicious. I also loved the look and cleanliness of the bathroom but unfortunately did not take a photo of it. I will without a doubt be coming back to this gem of a restaurant.

Omgosh!! If you haven’t ate here I’m unsure of what you are doing with your day. The service was above and beyond, thank you Ernie and our waiter. First the good things. Employees were fabulous and the atmosphere is clean and cute. Now, I ordered biscuits and gravy and I was there when they opened. The biscuits were cold and old and the gravy just warm. So clearly not something they make fresh which is disappointing. I would have waited for biscuits to cook. Eggs were perfect and that’s about it

Stopped in and tried the breakfast sandwich with hash browns and coffee—everything was so good and hit the spot 😋 The hash browns were crispy, the sandwich was super satisfying, and the coffee was exactly what I needed. Loved the cozy atmosphere and the service was friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back and try more items, especially those big pancakes and the coffee cake! Definitely a new go-to breakfast spot ☕🥞

Finally made it to Beau's in Southtown for a late lunch. I have heard good things about it and we were not disappointed. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with beer and wine available. My wife and I had the tuna sandwich and the patty melt. Both were outstanding, and very sizable. We are a little older, and easily could have split a sandwich. Both orders came with their version of French fries which were crinkle cut discs and done absolutely perfectly. The service was attentive and cordial. We can't wait to come back for a breakfast/brunch. We highly recommend trying this place out before everyone discovers it and it gets really busy.

First off, today was beautiful and sitting outside was a total delight. The music *Neil Young and The Doors felt perfect, though later was no match for the place across the street lol* The service was great, really cool, friendly staff. My husband loved the biscuits and gravy. I got the chicken and waffles, really juicy, crunchy chicken that might have stolen the show from the waffle, poor thing was flattened beneath the chicken. The kids got the pancakes and they were truly huge. We should have gotten them one pancake to split vs sharing the one order that comes with two. I don't want to dislike anything because the place is so cute, and the people are so nice and I loved the experience but the pancake wasn't great. I don't think it was fully cooked and was just super dense. I love pancakes, and this one was indeed huge but didn't taste great to me. Other than that when we're back in town we'll be back. I loved this place.

My dinner at this quaint Southtown eatery was spot on. Beau's specializes in Southern cuisine, prepared simply and with fresh ingredients. The highlight of my visit was the chicken fried steak. The dark, perfectly seasoned breading - which is fried in beef tallow - was delicious. The staff was friendly. We truly felt welcome by Tony and team. Highly recommend... cheers!

We went there for the first time, despite it's only 1 mile from the house. Perfect January day so we sat outside. Our waiter(didn't get his name. Young guy with Dark hair and mustache) was informative and helpful without being intrusive. I was all over the board because everything sounded great. He recommended the Chicken Fried Steak. Nailed it! Best I ever had. Decent steak, great coating. Fabulous mashed potatoes and probably the best string beans I've ever had. Tasted lightly charred and cooked on beef tallow. That's a vegetable you can have seconds of! Anyway, fantastic...all of it. Almost forgot: it was certainly enough for two. HUGE portion. My wife had the patty melt and declared also the best she ever had ( and she knows her melts!). Her portion was equally mammoth The only mild complaint: very weak beer list. but probably appropriate for a diner. Anyway, we'll go back.

Wow. This spot has been open since April, but I just lucked into a random lunch stop and it's awesome. Small place, very cozy, staff friendly and chatty and welcoming. I had to try their Chicken Fried Steak... because Texas! Definitely flavorful and crunchy. Everything hand made from scratch. No frozen warm ups here. Check this place out.

Friendly, cute, delicious. We went on a Saturday night, but early, so it was easy to get a table. I was surprised they gave us such tiny water glasses (about 8 oz) but they constantly refilled them throughout the meal, making me feel really cared for. The staff was very friendly. The manager, Tony, came over and talked to every table: he is just delightful. We ordered meatloaf and the green chicken enchiladas. It was all very good. They serve breakfast all day here. Seinfeld was streaming on the one TV. There are limited tables, but you also have the option of sitting at a bar overlooking South Alamo, or one that watches the kitchen.

Super small venue, but well taken care of with a super friendly staff. I was very impressed with their menu and the quality of the food. The pricing is a bit high, but in the area, it is on par. Try the oatmeal for a stick to your bones breakfast option.

We were in San Antonio from California this past weekend and a local real estate recommended this place. This place was AMAZING. The food was full of flavor. The country gravy was the best we have ever had. The portions were great. The service was beyond excellent. All the servers are very polite. I highly recommend any locals or visitors come on down to this place.

Get the pancakes!! Only downside to this place, is it would be nice if it were open later.

Nice cozy dinner with a simple straight forward menu of classic dinner fair. The services is fantastic. So is the food. Everything is made fresh. They don't take reservations but I've never had a long wait. They have a trailer to wait in if it's full so you can stay out of the weather. Save room for an amazing slice of pie.

Wanted to love this super cute spot! Someone has put a lot of effort into making it feel special. It really has a timeless diner look and feel that makes you feel comfortable. We were seated at 12:20 and served cold food at 1:28. A longer wait is to be expected for local, small businesses but over an hour seems excessive. Bacon, eggs, toast, hash browns, etc had obviously been sitting and were not fresh. We were offered an option of putting our plates in a warmer. We opted to leave at that time since only 2 of the 4 plates had come out and one order was incorrect. The two tables that were seated after us received their food, ate, and left before we were served. We were asked to choose a second option 15 minutes after our order was initially placed (or not placed? - seems like our ticket wasn't entered for some time) because they ran out of what we ordered. Not a bad place (judging by some of the great reviews) but a less than pleasant experience today for sure.

Okay so we accidentally ended up at Beau's Tiny Diner after our original brunch spot ghosted us (their hours were fictional). But fate said "nah, you're going to Beau's," and now I'm obsessed. This place is adorable -- but don't let the size fool you. The flavor? Classic. The energy? Vibrant. The humans? Lovable. We got lucky and sat right away, but everyone who came in after us had to wait. (Pro tip: arrive hungry and early, or be ready to romanticize standing outside for a bit.) The manager Tony came over and chatted like we were regulars. This man is hospitality personified. He didn't even know that we were in our brunch flop era, and asked if we lived close... He literally gave us the most genuine appreciation and thanked us for making the trip. He SAW us. Like?? Sir?? I would fight for you now and forever. Tony also hit us with some elite menu recs. My fiancé ordered the breakfast with a pork chop (based on the rec) and cleaned his plate like it was his job. I got a biscuit breakfast sandwich because Tony said we could do whatever subs we wanted on the menu. Love the flexibility. Shout out to the seasoned hashbrowns. So nice that they were actually flavored. Almost too salty, but after the bland potato trauma of other diners, I respect it. Also after I requested milk with my coffee, our server brought me more with every refill WITHOUT asking. If that's not love, idk what is. Yes, the kitchen forgot my bacon and the aioli, but they fixed it. The space is teeny-tiny and the whole team was moving like a brunch ballet back there, so I get it. They're clearly in their opening stretch, still finding their rhythm -- but the vibe, the kindness, and the people make it so worth it. If you're looking for a TikTok-worthy spot with soul, Beau's is that girl. It's giving diner-core with Jewish roots. It's giving "we actually care if you're having a good day." It's giving me another reason to come back.

me and my boyfriend fell in love with this tiny diner! omg it's literally so cute yall, the service was amazing but the best is that this diner serves actual down to earth, diner food. the meatloaf was DELICIOUS! everything was great, my mimosa was bubbly and refreshing ! Always trust an open kitchen!

Beau's is a new diner in Little Em's old corner spot on South Alamo. It has a no frills interior with an open kitchen and a small dining room. When we sat down the server was kind and attentive but we quickly ran into an issue ordering. They were out of almost everything we asked for. I first tried to order the meatloaf with mashed potatoes which they first said they were out of and then later retracted that but then came back again to say that they were in fact out of mashed potatoes. My mother asked for a salad to which they said they had nearly run out of lettuce and did not have enough to make a full salad. We each got our second choice which for me was a wrap and for her was a tuna salad sandwich. We also ordered two iced teas which we did not drink because they tasted very strange. Our food was good when it came, but noting that would make us return. Maybe since it's new it's going through some growing pains with supply issues but overall it seems like a relatively decent place for a quick bite.

Great find... thank you yelp and influencers. Small location seating ability of maybe 28 people inside but very cozy, clean and spacious for the size. I rolled in on at Thursday evening so the traffic was very light and seated immediately. Ordered musket a root beer float- very tasty... and tried a smothered fried pork chop! ... it's been a while since I've seen chicken fried pork chop on a menu. 5 star flavor and decent portion size! This place did not disappoint! Try it and thank them later! Enjoy!

One of the best small diners I've ever been to. Beau's Tiny Diner is a true gem in San Antonio, and every visit feels special. The food is absolutely delicious. Their breakfast burrito is hands down the BEST I've found since moving back from LA. It's loaded, flavorful, and made even better with their house made poblano sauce (do yourself a favor and don't skip it). And Howie's Honeybun is a MUST when visiting. It's the perfect sweet treat to go with your coffee. The service is incredible. Every single waiter and staff member is so down to earth and attentive. They even came outside to bring our dog a piece of bacon and a bowl of water, such a kind and thoughtful touch that meant a lot. The vibe is everything you want from a diner. They play that warm retro diner music that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time, and the whole place just feels welcoming. On a breezy San Antonio morning (which we don't get too often), sitting outside is a must. You can enjoy breakfast with a view of the Tower of the Americas and soak up the charm of the King William area. My family, my friends, and even my dog all give Beau's Tiny Diner our highest recommendation. It's rare to find a spot that checks all the boxes, amazing food, amazing people, and a genuinely great atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

The food was pretty good, it was very busy and it is tiny inside so, if you're easily over stimulated, might not be the best option. The area that it is located in is beautiful though.

Food is great. Service is great. Wish they were open later. And not trump supporters. But ya. Get the pancakes. Also, the Seinfeld is a plus.

Went to Beau's 12/31 and sat outside. It was a bit chilly but it's small so there was a wait for indoor seating. Service was slow as they only had 1 wait staff but the food was very tasty and significantly better than traditional diners. It's King William so a little pricey, but if you are up for a leisurely breakfast you can't go wrong here.

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was so cozy and nice. The only downside was the service. just constantly having to ask for refills on water and coffee on a fairly empty morning was frustrating on top of the restaurant running out of creamer at 9am? I feel like these small things really make or break a restaurant for me.

The food is very good and the restaurant has a fun diner vibe. But it took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get a breakfast burrito. They only had one cook so I'm somewhat sympathetic, but that just can't happen.

This downtown spot was so amazing! 10/10 recommend visiting! Not only is all of the food amazing, but the staff is so friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness is top notch! Will definitely be back!

I went for a late dinner on a weeknight. I was a little surprised to find only one table occupied. Contemporary music was blaring on the sound system- a real turnoff. But I'm very glad I took a seat! The music quickly changed and in a short time the diners arrived. I had the Diner Chop Salad. It was great and reasonably healthy. I liked the vibe and found parking easy at least on a late weeknight.

Nestled at 1001 N. Alamo St. in San Antonio, Beau's has recently opened its doors as of 4/19, and our visit was focused on evaluating some breakfast staples for our Yelp review, specifically their Biscuits + Gravy (priced at $9), and to which we added an egg for $2 and sausage for $3, totaling $14), and the much-talked-about Chef's Pancakes (at $14 for a stack of three that are supposedly plate-filling), alongside noting the overall location; when it came to the Biscuits + Gravy, we were particularly interested in the quality of the gravy - rich and peppery, and the texture of the biscuits themselves - fluffy and buttery, the Chef's Pancakes were another key focus, and we were eager to see if they truly lived up to the description of being large enough to fill the plate, as well as to evaluate their texture and flavor, and whether they were served with ample butter and syrup; beyond the food, Beau's - is it easily accessible, park in the hood!

I'm giving this place 4 stars because I think the direction and potential are present, but some things need to be addressed. First, the food was delicious. I had the diner plate. Hash browns were well seasoned, eggs cooked to perfection and toast was just right, fresh, and not overly or underly buttered. Second, the place is small but cozy and clean. This place is NOT for large groups. A family of 11, took up 3 tables and were louder than the kitchen and the music. That's not on Beau's. That's on those reading this review. I understand a group of 6 but in a small place like this, be considerate. Maybe not best for 5 children under 5 at 8 am. Asks of Beau's: You need a heating lamp for the food waiting to be served. It sat on the counter and with the fans going, got cold fast. Our table was right by the counter (not far to travel) yet the gravy was ice cold by the time it came to us. Add another person to check on folks, refill coffee, run plates, clean tables, seat folks, answer questions. Their job is to do every other job thats needed in the moment that's not waiting a table or cooking. Breakfast is for breakfast. Until you become a well-oiled machine, I'd recommend breakfast only 8-11:30. Two people had chicken fried steak with green beans and a shake. And all the other tables that ordered breakfast were waiting, waiting, waiting. Once their dinner order was out, then people started getting breakfast. Because it's such a tiny spot, dinner and breakfast can't coincide unless you have it down to a science. Turn down the music. It's way too loud. I couldn't hear the person two feet across from me, let alone the person asking my order.

Such a cute place! Love the oldies music and feel of the place..... Food was good but the best thing there was the honey bun!!! Get it! It was freakin delicious!!!

So, both tiny diner really is tiny, which is cute if you don't mind small spaces. The food and customer service are well worth it. As good as breakfast gets, mimosas, eggs Benedict cooked perfectly with a buttery hollandaise, my eggs over medium were "over medium" like I asked. Crispy bacon., my sausage was cooked a little extra but still good. Coffee was nice and hot and the service was welcoming and attentive., thanks Beaus tiny diner, 5 stars!!!!! Ate too fast for the before pics but the after sends the message

The restaurant has very limited seating however the atmosphere is very pleasant. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Will definitely be returning to try other dishes on the menu.

If you're thinking about eating at @Beau's Tiny Diner, go with an open mind! Nice environment and service but the food was not up to par for a diner! I ordered the chicken and waffles, the first time.....the waffle was grossly over cooked and burnt! The second order of chicken waffles was undercooked and the waffle was not fully cooked! I did not take any pictures and did not order any more food. Oh, my first coffee was watered down but the mimosa was good. I chose to come to the diner...... your experience may be better than mine!

Loved the food, loved the service, loved the building. Can't go wrong with the chicken fried steak/chicken! It has that vintage diner feel, so cap off your visit with a milkshake!

Super friendly customer service! Comfortable dinning area - shielded from the Texas heat! Food was DELICIOUS- they had an Asian Night special going on and the Kung Pao Chicken and Beef and Broccoli was terrific- fresh, tasty and made right in front of us!

Cool spot, indeed a tiny diner with a cool vibe. Overall, it was a good experience and the food was decent. I'd go back to try a couple other items. I wasn't blown away by the food. The Green Pozole is just okay and different, more like a salsa.

Went with a friend and it was absolutely incredible. She got the chicken and waffles and she said the chicken was perfect. I got the patty melt and it's one of my favorite patty melts in San Antonio. The honey bun is definitely the star of the show. The waitress was attentive and kind. The restaurant its self is very clean and was very bright and welcoming. Parking is a little difficult but overall an amazing experience and I will be going back.

I love this place! It is definitely tiny, but the food is not! I had the breakfast burrito, which is everything that it should be, without doing too much. Avocado, scrambled egg with cheese, hashbrowns, bacon, and sausage. The tortilla was nice and toasty and tender. mom had the breakfast plate, and ordered her eggs over medium. This is always her test as to how good the cook is - and they passed with flying colors! I saw a guy that ordered biscuits and gravy and his eggs sunny side up, and I noticed that the white of the egg was completely cooked, and the yolk was perfectly sunny side up. The people on the other side of us ordered a pancake with their breakfast, and the pancake was the size of the plate. I heard him say while he was eating it, "this could be one of the best pancakes I've ever had!" The service was excellent. The people were friendly. The only thing I could find that I would improve upon was the size of their iced tea glasses. When you order iced tea, you definitely want more than an 8 ounce juice glass. We will absolutely be back, and I can't wait to take my husband here!

The diner is cute. It has the old school diner feel and it's on a good strip in Southtown. It's clean, service was pleasant. My son had the patty melt which he loved and the fries cut like chips were great. I had chicken fried steak with white gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans with mushrooms in them. The chicken fried steak and potatoes were delicious. The green beans and mushrooms were super salty and tasted canned. I don't mind canned goods it's that they tasted canned. I don't know how to explain that.

Best comfort food we've had since moving to San Antonio. We moved from San Francisco where food is amazing so our search for good food here has been disappointing. We have eaten at Beau's twice and each time was spectacular. My wife had the club and I had the patty melt. Both come with house made chips plus we ordered the onion rings. Nothing disappoints. This is just great food and cooking.

We didn't have to wait, Food was below average, nothing special, low quality. $5 coffee served in a small cup tasted no better than convenience store coffee. Big hype and overpriced for the quality.

First time visit and impressions the location in the King William's estate and South Alamo of San Antonio. Facility is very nice quiet decor the menu is simple small selection no complaints. San to say the food had no flavor everything was bland. I order the breakfast sandwich like a egg bacon McMuffin no seasoning and my hash taste like a spoiled potato from the barrel and my wife had the chicken enchiladas with black beans and white rice just say she was disappointed. The owner Mr. Tony was very nice but waitress during our visit wasn't very welcoming even though I tipped her above 20% of the total bill she could have gotten much more. I don't recommend unless the food improve upon its flavoring of there dishes which can be a great casual spot to dine.

The beef filling was good, but was disappointed it was served in a store bought shell... tough to see, especially in San Antonio. Wouldn't recommend. Wanted to order the chicken fried steak, but it was already sold out. Overall though, enjoyed the meal... super cute ambiance, friendly staff and would definitely come again.

The cutest quaint diner! 10/10 service. The whole staff was very welcoming and made me feel right at home. I highly recommend the smothered pork chop and Howie's honeybun! Comfort food at its finest! Beautiful job. Thank you Beaus!
