Today, when I entered to purchase some bottles for a cocktail party, I was confronted with this unexpected situation! Unbelievable!!! The staff should held more accountable…. Especially this woman with the dog not on a leash. Extremely rude individual.

Been picking up from this 🍷 store since they were next-door to old French bakery that became The Brew. Fast forward to today - staff and 🍾 selection is just 🔥 My Favorite bottle finally hit their radar!!

I recently moved to the neighborhood, and this used to be my favorite liquor store on the area. However I’ve had a bad experience. Last time I was there, I was yelled at by a worker (the lady with the braids) because I accidentally took a bottle with a tag instead of one without it. I don’t work there, and I honestly didn’t notice the difference. There were many other ways to tell me that without embarrassing me in front of other workers and customers for something so simple that I wasn’t aware of. Never coming back!

My partner and I have been frequent customers of this establishment (even signing up for a membership), and have been met with rude, dismissive, and on a good day - indifferent attitude by the staff here each time. The environment feels unwelcoming and I will not be returning, unfortunately.

While the wine selection is good, there is some serious training needed for staff to be more hospitable or at least not outright rude. I really want to support small businesses but this particular spot makes it really hard to. Just to be clear here, the woman with the dog that works at the front could use a couple of trainings. This woman was insanely short with me for no reason and extremely unhelpful.

When three people are working but would rather look at their phones then interact with a customer .. and when they do they are dismissive and rude. Will buy everywhere else but here in the future.

I attended the Yelp x Bed Vyne cocktail class this past week, and immediately fell in love with Bed Vyne. They had been on my list of places to check out for a while. Mike lead the class and was both friendly and knowledgeable about the cocktails we made. All of his recipes were absolutely delicious! I'll be ordering liquor from here ASAP and hopefully visiting for cocktails once their bar open!

I love this Wine & spirit shop! They have a nice collection of wine and the staff is knowledgeable when asks for recommendations. Did I mention Excellent customer service? I have lived in walking distance from Bedvyne since they first opened up. My husband and I have been regular customers for years. It pains me to write this review but I think I made my last trip to this establishment and will be fully transitioning my patronage to Happy Cork I walked in around 6:30pm to get my usual bottles of sparkling wine; I love their Bedvyne sparkling rose, Prosecco and Lambrusco. First thing to note is their stock lately has been lacking and they seem to alway be out if their branded wines and McBride Sisters. Last week I placed an order for pick up on the app and was called shortly afterwards and informed that they didn't have half of what I ordered. Secondly the customer service has significantly declined. For as much as they want to represent themselves as a black owner establishment, many of their employees do not reflect that or seem to embrace the clientele that have been longstanding in this area not just those that moved in recently. As I was trying to see what sparkling options they actually had In stock this week, the gentleman behind the counter called out to to me. I was hoping it was to assist me what what I was looking for but no, it was to ask me to move out the way so the customer he was assisting could check out. I arrived after this customer and there was plenty of space at the counter. There were not other customers waiting to check out. Not quite sure how I was in his way. So I promptly said no worries and exited the store.

Been a patron of Bed-Vyne for the past 5 years. My visits are always met with great service and great ambiance. It's my go to not only to purchase wine, but to unwind after work or catch up with some friends. Highly recommend!

This is my favorite store for wines and spirits. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have very unique selections and im never disappointed. BEST of all they deliver. Definitely my go to store.

Bed-Vyne offers some of the most unique selections of wines that Brooklyn has to offer. Each time I come here I'm met with staff who are knowledgeable and always provide great tips and suggestions to make my experience extra special. What I especially enjoy about Bed-Vyne is that they offer such a unique experience and always provide back to the community in extraordinary ways. So happy to have this local business and EXTRA happy that they also deliver!!

Finally made it to this shop and was really impressed with the size and selection available. I found my new favorite red wine here. The team was also really helpful and knowledgeable about many of the wines, offering suggestions and descriptions. They have an app too so if I can't make the trip I can still get my wine! Nice!

I want to support local black owned businesses, but I never feel great about my experiences here. Expect to spend a couple dollars more per bottle than you would elsewhere. Which I generally consider worth it for the convenience of staying in the neighborhood. But for the more expensive prices, I also hope for helpful service. The vibe in the there is casual, to the extent that it's often hard to get the attention of someone to help you. They have a great selection of liqueurs, but staff isn't informed about them or interested in looking things up. More than once in the past when I've said "I'm not familiar with _________, can you tell me anything about it?" The answer has been "No, sorry." Know that when you order online for pick up you will be automatically be charged for a bag, even if you don't need/want one, and there is a mandatory tip added to your total that cannot be removed.

I have been going to BV since the day it opened and clearly things have changed. They used to be so helpful and feel like a shop that catered to the neighborhood. I walked in last night to get a cold can of wine or cider. One of the shop personnel was helping a woman in front of me by the cooler. She was being extremely helpful to her so I waited patiently and browsed around her. Once she was done with the woman, she started stocking the fridge so I couldn't see the cans. I tried looking around her, and she briskly said WITHOUT even looking at me "you need to go find what you want on the shelf and then I'll get you a cold one." I explained I wasn't looking for a bottle but a can which are only in the fridge. She then opened up the door to the cans, which were piled high and said "ok, pick one". Ummmm.....I couldn't see what the selection was so simply said "I am looking for a can of wine". She just grabbed the first one in front of her. This is not the friendly neighborhood shop it used to be. This is not the Bed-Stuy shop we love. It felt like I was in one of those uncomfortable Tribeca stores.

Asshole customer service over the phone. I called to ask a question and the guy that answered said he has to put me on hold or I have to order via downloading the app. He was quick and impolite. Granted, he was probably stressed but his customer service belong in the toilet. I asked if I could order via the website, he said no I cannot go to the website to check to see if they have the alcohol I need but I have to actually download the app. Seriously? I only have space on my phone for apps with proper phone customer service. I definitely ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT be using their service even though they are in my neighborhood. I'd rather go elsewhere with PROPER customer service. Put that in your shot glass and chug it!

My absolute favorite wine/liquor store, my favorite is the Bed Vyne Sparkling Rose, speaks to my spirit. Delivery is always right on time. They will deliver practically anywhere. Service is consistently great.

I love this wine shop. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about wines. They really went out of their way to describe the wines to me and tell me about the many different options. They carry a lot of very intriguing bottles, not just your typical "safe" choices and varieties for a wine shop. The wines are sorted not by region but by category: bold, complex, etc. There is a pretty wide range of prices, interesting and unique wines, and something for everyone. It was a very interesting shop and I ended up finally, after much debate, settling on a wine from Croatia. It was a wonderful bottle. There were many other great options I left behind at the store that I will definitely come back for someday. Exactly what I look for in a wine shop.

I took a Zoom wine tasting with the owner a few weeks ago and it completely blew my mind. I learned more from that experience than almost anything else in my wine/food education. The wines for the tasting were from Bed-Vyne and they were *so delicious*. I can't wait to visit the shop in person!

The heartbeat of Bedstuy!! Amazing wine selection, great customer service and perfect location on Tompkins Ave. We normally go for a walk there but they have a delivery app as well. It's also great to stop by Bed-Vyne Brew across the street for the sangria...perfect treat on a nice spring or summer day.

They push you into tipping even when there is no actual service involved- I walked in, picked my wines, went to pay, and the cashier turned the little register around for me to select my tip. I understood tipping was for service?

I have supported this wine store since they were a smaller store across the street. The customer service has gone downhill since they have moved, but it wasn't enough to bother me. However, my recent experience has questioned my loyalty. As a result of the pandemic, I have downloaded the app, for convenience, but honestly I have been shopping elsewhere for convenience to grab a few bottles without having to use an app. I have used the store app three times and I was always a bit confused on the instructions. Each time the first text or email would say the order is accepted and allow 0.0 time, then the second email or text would say wait for a confirmation and one email the instructions stated my pick up time would be within one hour. At no time did I ever get an email or text that my pickup was ready. Well, as per the instructions, 0.0 to within one hour, I figured I will go after one hour and pick it up. First and second trips, I got there, tapped on the door and the young man gave me my orders...and all was well. The third and last time,Sat Now 21st at about 2.15pm, I was greeted by a store attendant that was visibly upset because I tapped on the door and interrupted her and other attendants. She shouted "can't you read the sign on the door that says to call when you arrive for the pickup". Seriously, why after poorly written instructions on the text and email response, it is now my responsibility to show up and figure out the written instructions on the door? My suggestion, fix the instructions and include the number to call within the instructions in the text and email...and maybe some training for the staff is in order. I have deleted the app.

Honored to be writing a review for one of my favorite Brooklyn venues. Have come to Bed-Vyne on a number of occasions over the past couple years and have always had a dope experience. Always soulful, always positive, and always sooooooo Brooklyn! Today I was in the area with a friend and discovered Sunday afternoon Bed-Vyne. As I'd previously experienced with my night-time excursions here, the Sunday afternoon set was just as dope and wrapped up a great Brooklyn day with a Chardonnay. The gentleman who served us was present and friendly which is always a plus (Thanks Fam!). There were fresh beats (Slum Village, Tribe Called Quest, Dilla, etc.) serenading the Sunday disciples and it was spacious enough to have nuff elbow room. Will be back soon for Vintage Saturday's with DJ Hard Hitting Harry. Bed-Vyne is a Brooklyn destination that you have to experience if you haven't already. Get involved Yo!

Honestly the best selection of wine in any wine store in any neighborhood in Brooklyn. We live one block away and when we have parties we send guests here to pick up the beverage they're supposed to bring :) Ask for Katie if you want recos.

I really want to like this place. It's locally owned, cute, and they have a great selection. But, I wish the staff was friendlier and more attentive. On my most recent visit, instead of asking if I needed help, employees chatted amongst themselves and shot me glances over their shoulder every few seconds, as if they thought I was going to smash all the wine bottles at a moments notice. After their convo was over and I got someones attention, the guy turned his nose up at me when I asked for a bottle of wine in the $12 price range (they only had 3 bottles in this price range in the entire store). Lastly, the person checking me out took a call as soon as I got to the register and continued to chat away during the entire interaction. Maybe I'll just stick to delivery so I don't have to deal with them.

I almost don't want to post this because I don't want my new found treasure to get out. I know, I'm being quite selfish. Ok then, let's get into it. Bed-Vyne Wine lounge spot is off the hook. I live right up the block and I never bothered to check it out. Recently, two of my good friends invited me to join them there and everything about this place mirrors what I'm all about. Bed-Vyne is welcoming, hip, and simply the place to be. The staff and the patrons that frequent Bed-Vyne are friendly and eager to invite you into their community space. So what to expect when one arrives. The DJ mixes a nonstop cornucopia of Reggie, Hip-Hop, Jazz, R&B and Tribal House; guaranteed to keep you moving. It looks like you may be treated to small hot snacks being sold at the front door to keep your energy up as you drink and dance the night away. The place is small in size but this adds to the overall ambiance to this place and your experience. Their claim to fame is certainly their extensive wine and beer selection. By the way, you may want to try one of their new wines or beers; live a little!! You are sure to have a great time either solo or with friends.

Locally owned and operated...niiiiiccccee selection, great customer service, and they had a record of my previous selections and although my usual poison was not available, the sales person was able to choose something similar based on my previous taste, and the Alsheimer Fruhmesse Reisling Spatlese was an excellent (yummy) choice for my company of friends and I. Oh and yessssssss they deliver ((((CLAPPING)))).

***Review of the night venue*** - DJ is rockin' on Saturday nights. He plays music from multiple genres and multiple eras - Place is kind of small, so it can get packed pretty quickly, and it can get very claustrophobic - There's a wide variety of local wines that you cannot get at many other places (like the Sadat X wine)

I had wonderful customer service here. I'm from out of town and I ordered a bottle of wine for a friend's birthday. Unfortunately that friend was with his daughter in the hospital at this time, so no one would be home for the delivery. The delivery guy (I hate to say that I didn't get his name) called me to ask if anyone would be home for the delivery. I explained the situation to him and he asked me if I knew whether there was a doorman at the building, which I also didn't know. The delivery guy was amazing and told me that considering the circumstances he'd try the delivery anyway, even though no one would be there. Luckily, the building had a doorman so he was able to leave the wine with him. But the delivery guy was so kind no matter what and I have no doubt he would have tried to deliver the wine multiple times if there hadn't been a doorman. I called the shop to let them know how impressed I was with the delivery guy and the shop manager (?) was unbelievably kind as well and super happy that I called. There is obviously a culture of kindness and service at this shop and I will recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much for your kindness!

Bed-Vyne did a fabulous job with my group's wine tasting party which featured Black-owned wine labels. They were very responsive to our questions during the Zoom call. If there were any problems with an order, they were quick to respond. They were extremely knowledgeable and made excellent wine selections for the tasting. Their own private label is also excellent. I have also purchased wine for myself several times before and after the event.

I love Bed Vyne! I have been buying wine here since shortly after they opened and am never disappointed. I nearly always rely on staff recommendations and have only been disappointed once. And they insisted I bring it back for credit. The staff is great, friendly and always willing to help, especially Clara, who has introduced us to countless great new wines. Oh, and did I mention that they deliver? And quickly - great for lazy evenings. I can just call and they'll look up what I bought last time for me and recommend a great alternative if something is out of stock. Not to mention the credits and discounts when I buy a case. Love this place!

Do you need a bottle of wine but have absolutely NO CLUE what to get? I mean, you probably know you like your wines sweet or dry, red or white, and affordable. But beyond that you can't remember if you like Merlot or Chardonnay. If this is you, then your search for a wine store has ended. This is the place. THE PLACE. Why? I'll tell you why. You walk into this cozy spot and waddya know..the wines are organized by FLAVOR! Sweet, Dry, Bold, you name it. There's also an island in the middle for $10 wines. Yes, $10 wines my friends. They may even be slightly cheaper at $9.99, but who's counting. The owners are incredibly friendly and conversational. Love their mail order service. A friend has a new private label and It's distributed here. Nicely packed and their follow up is excellent.

Wow. This place is FANTASTIC! And here's why: 1. They know their shit! Their recommendations are always on point, and with a little guidance, they will direct you to your new favorite wine. 2. They deliver. Fast. Nuff said. 3. They're friendly and not at all pretentious. Good customer service goes a LONG way. 4. They can create a file for you with a record of what you've ordered and your credit card information. This is REVOLUTIONARY for someone like me who is absent minded and can't remember what that great dry Riesling was from the other night and who is a lush and wants to speed up the order process. With $60 orders a week, I would say they have one loyal customer :D

I'm very excited to see a wine store open up on Tompkins. The store is cozy and packed to the gills with a carefully picked selection of wines. I spoke for a few minutes with the buyer, Michael, and he was highly knowledgeable and friendly. The store arranges the wines by taste rather than grape or region which I thought was innovative and helpful for someone who simply 'knows what they like'. The store is getting involved with local businesses by already having a 50+ bottle tasting at the event space across street offering food pairings from local food establishments. I look forward to supporting this independent wine store...which I'm sure I will often as it's only a couple blocks from my apartment yay! Updated March 2012: I want to upgrade this up to 5 stars for the continued stellar service and tastings and class this store has brought to the area...keep it up guys!

This wine store is fantastic. Every time I get a bottle from here it is so interesting and unique. They have a good range of prices, the wines are divided up by flavor profile which is creative and helpful if you're not trying to shop by grape but by flavor. They have a great loyalty program too and have expanded to have hard liquor, which is also very unique and includes a lot of smaller companies, not just the classics.

Met the Bartender, Brandon, during the J-Dilla tribute day yesterday and had a blast. Great service, craft brew, and dj's all biking distance from my house. Big-ups to the staff here who host good music and service. -Daeniel

I didn't have the heart to ruin the 5 star streak the place has going. I can give it a 5 star in good conscious because it is as good as it gets as far as very small wine shops in Bed-Stuy. The owner is super nice. It's not a huge selection because the store itself is small, but they have a solid selection at the $10 range and the only wine I've bought there that I didn't care for was a lambrusco.

Great selection and staff. Sometimes they have little events during the week. You can mix and mingle. Nice little gem as opposed to the corner liquor store where if you order wine , they know nothing. If you frequent the area you will know why it's so important for staples such as this.

Love this wine store. It's a small wine shop, but the staff is super knowledgeable about wines. The main guy (I'm not sure if he's the owner or co-owner with Rotimi) is generally there when I go in and always has great suggestions for me. I've never been disappointed with his recommendations. I also love the fact that they keep my old wine orders in the computer. I have a hard time remembering what wines I like, so it's helpful that they store my purchase information. Bed Vyne delivers, which is awesome! You have to purchase at least $30 worth of wine in order to get delivery, but it's not like wine goes bad... so why not order in bulk! :-) I hurt my leg badly and was on crutches for months. Having wine delivery was a life saver 1) because I needed wine to get through the ordeal, and 2) because I had lots of house guests and, even though I was hurt, I wanted to be a good host! Another great thing about this shop is that they're dog friendly. I've often stopped by while walking my dog. They've never given me any hassle about bringing my dog in, which is helpful as I like to run errands while walking my dog. Love this place. Very excited that it's still open and is doing well.

I've checked in here no less than 10 times, so I think it's only right that I write a review. There's a wine store in the back and the bar (Brew) up front. I picked up a bottle of wine at the wine store. It was a pink pinot grigio. The color surprised me at my first. I've never had a pinot that color. Can't say it was my favorite, but I did enjoy it. A plus that the person working that night was really nice. All the other times I stopped by was for the bar portion, Bed-Vyne Brew. I went with my husband one visit, another time with a girlfriend, and the rest on my own. Service each time was excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable bar tenders. They have lots of beers on tap from all over NY state. Not sure if they have anything commercial or any bottled beers. I generally order something listed on the chalkboard, usually after asking the bartender for a recommendation. They also have a porch/stoop so you can drink outside in warmer weather.

This has become my favorite wine store. My first visit to the store was only three weeks ago. And it's by my old neighborhood on Tompkins Ave! Who knew!! I love the intimate space and unpretentious air that I associate with other wine stores in the area manned by White people (some of whom assume black people---like me, a 30'something black professional who look 28--- don't drink wine or know my wines and thus do not deserve ample customer service). I currently have a $20 coupon for another wine store as a thank you for being a frequent customer, but threw it in the garbage (YES...I DID) given the bad customer service. (For the record, I only went back because it was so close to where I lived...boohoo...what a waste). Bread-Vyne is BLACK owned. And MUCH BETTER. Ayo is a darling teddy-bear. I love his vision and for that reason I keep coming back to support the business. (I don't know who the other owner is, but besos to him/her too!). The cashiers/sales reps are cool. I especially like the skinny kid who works there on Tuesday evenings. I forgot his name, but he's AWESOME! He knows his wines and has gotten me to try different wines that I end up falling in love with. This is MY new wine store for sure!!

I've been coming here since they first opened and were just a tiny wine shop (no bar, no bubbly cooler). They have since expanded and offer spirits as well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the selection is perfectly fine.

I've been a customer since opening day. They are always friendly and helpful, and give great advice without ever pressuring you to break your budget. Plus, they always let me bring my little dog in when he was still alive. And the music is usually good. Speaking of budget, they maintain a central display of $10 bottles that are all good values (none of that yellowtail or cupcake crap) and never the usual suspects for lower priced bottles. In addition they have a wide range of bottles under $35, plus more high end stuff. I like that they do the research and I get the benefits of tasty wines.

Bed-vyne is one of those shops where you can go to and always feel welcomed. the guys who own the shop are always friendly yet professional, knowledgable and very accomodating. They have been open for only 16 months and have done so many fundraising events for the community and have donated to the local organizations, including the Bed-Stuy YMCA. I love the wine selection. I love that they deliver and the wine tastings are the best. Its sad that such a new and cool local business has to deal with silly people who mistake good customer service for something that doesn't exist. These guys are super friendly to EVERY custromer and its a shame that someone can be so RECKLESS as to try to slander their reputation. Funny how a faceless and nameless individual can attempt to tarnish a business owners reputation with unfounded allegations. Tanya G. I am so lucky to have such an awesome liquor store like this near me. Everyone here is super nice and knowledgeable. They clearly know a lot about wine and spirits but are never the slightest bit snobby or condescending to those of us who don't know as much. They have really cool brands of liquor that you don't find at the normal liquor store that also sells scratch offs. Also they have a great frequent buyer thing where you get $10 off.

Terrible service. Bad attitudes and lack of knowledge of their selection. Also a really weird policy of not letting you pick out wines out of the cooler so you have to play detective looking for the bottle in the store. Don't recommend. Try being nicer. We're not on fifth ave.

I've never been to the brick and mortar location, but the deliver person (white male) was not pleasant at all. I'm not sure he was affiliated with the actual business, so I don't want to give you a bad star rating, but I want you to know he was very rude, unpleasant, and unprofessional. I ordered it with winebar. He was a total dick.
