So good so pretty so yummy! We are thrilled to find this restaurant near our favorite veterinarian clinic! The food is steaming hot fresh. Love!

Delicious food, quick and friendly service, adorable & decorative quaint spot near prospect park! We had a really tasty fresh hummus and pita, their bedawi salad and falafel wrap. Great vegan/vegetarian options! They also have a cute backyard patio. Would come back for sure!!

I absolutely love the place and have been many, many times. I had lamb, falafel, tabule, and pizza (not all at the same time). Everything was always good and fresh. The place is small but has a beautiful backyard that is cozy.

Best place near prospect Park West for this kind of food. The leg of lamb is always amazing! The mixed or assorted salad plates are great too. Their backyard is so cute!

Love mixing the appetizers to try new things - within our mix the beets and lemon potatoes were the fave. The lentil soup with the pita was 👌🏻 and the lamb pizza delicious and earthy. Can't wait to come back and try more. Staff was incredly friendly and welcoming. Not to mention you leave feeling like you had a nutritious meal! ♥️

This is one of our all time favorite places. We have been ordering from them for years. The food is delicious and always of high quality, just like the service. We LOVE Bedawi.

After checking out reviews online, I decided to try Bedawi Cafe. The food was decent for the price but the salads lacked flavor. I even added my own Sumac and lemon. The Tabouli salad was three stars. The baba ganoush eggplant dip wasn't bad but had a slightly bitter aftertaste. I also tried one of the pita sandwiches. I was actually surprised by the lack of flavor, especially after reading so many glowing reviews. When I looked more closely at the reviews, I noticed some similar opinions about the blandness of the food. I guess if you prefer bland or non spicy food, this might be a good choice. I love Middle Eastern cuisine - I've eaten lots of it over the years - I enjoy the tahini, garlic, lemon, parsley, sumac etc. There were no side sauces included with the sandwich either. That might have helped out with the flavor issue - another restaurant I frequent always includes a small cup of hot sauce on the side.

How have I not reviewed this place all this time. Been coming here for over a decade with my then bf/now husband. This place has always been our favorite casual date spot with the wonderful backyard setting. The food is amazing and always so reasonably priced. I almost always get their mix mezze platter, which are fresh and flavorful. The sundried pizza is something you can't miss. For more heavy dishes the merguez platter is authentic and incredible. The staff here are ever so friendly and attentive. It was fun chatting with them through the pandemic and I'm so glad that the business has survived and resumed in person dining!

A few friends and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after seeing good reviews on Yelp. The restaurant was empty except for one couple. The outdoor seating in the back was very cozy and picturesque. We ordered the Spinach Calzone, Lamb Pizza, mixed medley, and the assorted salad with hummus, makdous, baba ghanouj, stuffed grape leaves and labana. The cold salad was refreshing but not very impressive. The spinach calzone was interesting but didn't have much taste. The best thing we ordered was the lamb pizza. It was extremely flavorful and satisfying. The worst thing was the mixed medley with chicken and lamb. The texture of the meat was dry and grainy. I would not recommend it. Overall, it was an interesting experience but won't be returning.

Decently priced and delicious, with a few points that take this down a notch. Came here after a failed smorgasboard attempt in prospect park, just remember that event is almost always going to be too expensive and unimpressive. Decided on this spot since it was highly rated. Ordered the 5 mezze appetizer option, spinach pie, lamb pizza and mixed medley. Spinach pie is different from what I'm used to at Greek restaurants but still good nonetheless, it came almost calzone-like with fresh spinach baked inside, tasted fresh and well made. The 5 Mezze option was great and is an awesome way to start off a large group with a restaurant's offering, loved all the items, everything I sampled was above average. Lamb pizza was phenomenal, the lamb bit that they had was spicy and done well, paired extremely well with the cheese, peppers and other toppings. Would have been a 5 star if not for a couple of things. The lamb in the mixed medley was extremely dry, and had a crumbly dust like texture to it, did not enjoy it at all, immediately regretted ordering the item. The other issue was the restaurant was pretty much staffed by one server/waiter/cashier. Came on the weekend and the person seemed pretty disgruntled and inattentive, not the biggest issue but definitely made the vibe a little weird. Overall a great place for great tasting food at a great price

Tried this spot last night. And I can't stop thinking about how good the food was. The hummus, divine. The pita, and the definition of fresh. I'm not sure I took a breath once I started eating cause I inhaled it all. for sure will be back and will recommend to everyone!

A hidden gem! This is our favorite restaurant in the Windsor Terrace...really, in the whole Park Slope area. The food is consistently high quality and tasty! My go-to's include creamy hummus, delicious spinach & chickpeas, and tabouleh, but we've ordered just about all the hot & cold appetizers and never are disappointed. The chicken pizza is fantastic--just like I had in Turkey, as are the falafel and mergeuz platters! The service is always excellent and the folks working there are simply lovely. Ambience in the cafe and during the warmer months, in the garden, is inviting with interesting decorations representing middle eastern sites and culture. This is a real gem and our go-to for lunch and dinner with family and friends!

Good food. Have gotten the falafel wrap and lentil soup. I've only gotten takeout so far but it's nice inside too.

I'm SO glad I stumbled on this restaurant!! Super quaint and intimate. The back patio has small mechanical waterfalls that really add to the vibe. Waitstaff was small, but attentive! Food was good, prices were fair. All in all, would definitely go back!

I alway order takeout from Bedawi when I want Middle Eastern food. Tonight the ground lamb/spicey pizza was its usual delish. The 2 appetizer hummus and garden salad appetizer? Not so much. They both could use the zing of some lemon juice. Hummus could also use garlic. And you could have fooled me if there was dressing on the salad. The kicker was the packaging: Garden salad on top of hummus in one container! Come on, Bedawi. Splurge on one container for each appetizer or one that separates the items from each other!

Apps are a firm yes. Outdoor Garden in the back was nice when we ate there in the fall. Their hummus is very good. Reminds me of the hummus I had in the Middle East.

Really tasty lunch special for ~$9! I got the chicken platter with baba ganoush. Very flavorful chicken and a good portion size as well. The baba ganoush was delicious! I'd definitely recommend it, although I'm sure the hummus is also good. Pita was freshly baked and warm, and the salad was fresh, too, with a good assortment of veggies included. A great neighborhood lunch joint for takeout during these covid times. Would love to try something else from here in the future!

Love the pita, the labneh, and all hot and cold appetizers here. The pizzas are excellent, and so is the zaatar bread -- overall an amazing and consistent place for takeout after many visits. Go here!

I wouldn't order from here again. - super small portions - food had no taste, missing salt in everything Everything was very mediocre. The appetizer sampler (5) was a huge waste of $. The marinara and cheese pizza was very chewy. Chicken lunch platter with salad and hummus - mediocre. Parsley cheese phyllo roll - mediocre. Nothing was memorable...

Let's start with the positive: The ambience is cute. Now let's move on... The first thing we noticed was a sticky table which the waiter informed us was just cleaned before we walked in. We ordered the 5 appetizer sampler with Hummus, the Bedawi salad, beet salad, potatoes and lentils. Well, things looked okay, and tasted like absolutely nothing. We never had a more boring and tasteless hummus. Ever. The various salads tastes like they chopped things up, marinated (maybe) but then washed everything off with water for an hour to make sure that absolutely no taste particle was left. The only thing which kinda-sorta tastes like anything were the beets. But only the very middle portion of every beet. Moving on to our thankfully last (forever) meal at the Bedawi cafe, we ordered the chicken sandwich. Better than the appetizers, but barely. We are trying to think of good things to say about it... The wrap inside aluminum foil was professionally done! The worst part of the whole thing is.....wait for it, drum roll....our clothes, our hair, everything stinks like the inside of this terrible place.

Stopped by here to get some items for a picnic in the park. Tried the bedawi pizza and the leg of lamb platter. The pizza was decent would have been better if we ate it hot. Good amount of veggie toppings and cheese. The lamb platter was great, really yummy lamb that was tender and juicy and we opted for the baba ganoush as a side which was super creamy and tasty and a great complement with the lamb. The side salad was forgetful and nothing special. It came with a pita which was nice and fluffy. We were totally stuffed and the price was very reasonable.

Jordanian brothers Aladdin and Yusuf served me up a delicious ground lamb pizza and a combination of beet salad and babaganoush to go at 9:45 p.m. on a Tuesday. Wow. Delicious. And such nice guys! Glad I remembered this place. I don't often order take out but feel lucky to have this traditional family food just blocks away. Great value for the money, too!

Great spot in Windsor Terrace. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very nice. Had the babaganoush, chicken platter and Merguez platter. Everything was so delicious and fresh. The people that work here are also nice and accommodating. The seasoning of the chicken was very memorable as there were so many great spices that were marinated in the chicken. The rice and salad that comes with each platter is tasty. If you do not want rice, you have the option of ordering a side of the hummus or babaganoush. The place is small, and I noticed that the delivery guy kept coming in and out with orders. So if you're in the neighborhood, this is a really good take out place. Eating in is even good, too. Would definitely come back.

This is a fine restaurant with a nice garden in the back. I am not familiar with other restaurants around 15 street that also have this so its nice. In the garden here they light incense and have a lot of greenery. Occasionally you can see a cat walk across the fencing and you have a nice awning over you in case there is rain. It is quite relaxing though in the summer it can be hot during heat waves. Inside things are much more cramped compared to the garden though its still nice. You can see paintings and wall hanging of nice middle eastern fair. It is super dark though and I am not quite sure why that is. Food wise they have a bunch of entrees and middle eastern pizzas. The pizza here is pretty good though expensive. It took the staff here quite a while to make but the crust was so soft and the ingredients were so tasty I wasn't too upset about it. The staff here were very smiley and nice here as well so that helped. Overall Bedawi Cafe is a nice place to eat at. I would definitely come again if I want middle eastern food in a nice clean restaurant.

I LOVE this place! Food is amazing. Staff is very kind and warm. You literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. One of my go to spots for sure. And covid has not changed the quality or quantity of the food.

Oh my goodness so good. The appetizer platter! Get it. And the back outside looks like Bali. This place is a gem!

Ordered from here twice. I hope this is just a miss... twice. Very nice staff, cute place, totally a place I want to support. But the food was flavorless. Hummus was bland. Lamb was dry. Chicken was meh. House salad was ice berg lettuce with a few things in it. Cucumber salad was just cucumbers and tomatoes. Baba was ok but bland. Beets are canned it seems (maybe that's not a big deal??). And pickled egg plant was just salty vinegar. I don't want to be a jerk but twice now it's just been meh. It must just be bad luck for me? It gets great reviews and by all appearances everything looks wonderful, but no flavor. I'll try again, and will happily amend this review but for now, I can't say it's very good.

Great ambiance - really beautiful decor and smells wonderful of herbs and spices. The owner is so polite and super friendly -- and the food was fast and delicious. Will definitely be coming back!

Ahhhh...breathe in the fresh aroma of meaty goodness. What can what say? Only great things about this place. From the vinegary beets to the lemon juice filled dolmadas (rice stuffed grape leaves), I would say there are vegetarian options worth trying. I loved the herbs and spices used on my pizzas. I went with my two friends to battle Settlers of Cattan in their backyard and of course decided to eat first, but where? We chose Bedawi. First, there was an al fresco option. Second, did someone say pizza? Oh yes. We ordered the chicken and lamb pizza which were sooooo decadently good. Could describe how were they good? There was this addictive like quality to it. Maybe it's the level of fattiness in the meat selected and right amount of olive oil? Or just the right amount of natural light in the backyard and the fresh smell of autumn making its way over to our olfactory bulbs on this fine summery day? I am trying to put it into words but probably failing, but I will never give up yelping. Ever. Yes, to describe the pizzas as merely delicious is quite understating. One could tell that the pizzas were generously covered in so much topping that I could only less than half of it. And I was there for 4.5 hours. I eat slow. I know. Well, I need time to talk and then chew and then eat again. Keep that in mind if you get a garlic bread for it will come in pizza size. Lol. I found out the hard way, but I had dinner that night. Thank goodness for leftovers. I will upload some photographs so you can relive my temporary moment in pizza heaven which I visit quite often and it's always a fun time. What was super puzzling was how empty this place was. This is a super find! I will definitely revisit with another board game of course. Take that PokeGo! It was 1 pm on a Friday and not a soul except maybe a few people. There were so much better and more affordable things on the menu. I was severely disappointed at my pizza coma that I just nearly suffered.

Badawi's is authentic middle eastern food. My family eats from this restaurant at least 4 times a month. There Oozi and Merguez platters are fantastic. I love their Babaghanoush too! They also bake fresh Arabic bread on the premises. The service is top-notch. Lastly, it you are concerned with how staff handle food during Covid-19, this is the place to trust. I have yet to have seen staff so clean. They always wear the masks! This place is really a treasure in the neighborhood.

Been thinking about ordering from here for some time now, finally took a gamble, and lost spectacularly. My actual complaint is about the food. It's objectively bad. I got the Chicken Ouzi and Lentil Soup. The soup was bland and tasting slightly of something unpleasant, I couldn't believe someone could mess up lentil soup, but they did. The main disappointment was in the Chicken Ouzi. First of all there was barely any chicken inside this "Bedouin Pie", and it was stuffed with rice heavily flavored by something strong and immensely off putting, I think cardamom? Some very strong spice that you would only come across in infrequently in life - there is about half a pound of it in there. I really tried to eat the thing but gave up and offered it to my wife, she just said "ew... why does it smell like that?". So I threw it all in the trash and ordered a chimichurri steak from a different place. What a disappointment!

I visited Bedawi Cafe for a late lunch. It is a small space with perhaps 8-10 tables. There were takeout menus on the counter so I grabbed one to make my choice. The man at the counter suggested I sit and he would take my order. I ordered the lentil soup and the lamb shank pita sandwich. He brought some hot bread before the meal that was filled with hot air from whatever method was used to heat. When I attempted to tear off a piece, hot steam escaped and scalded my hand. I proceeded much more carefully after that. The soup arrived and was flavorful but very thin. The sandwich followed. The vegetables were fresh and tasty and the tsadilki sauce was creamy and flavorful. The lamb was very mild and lacking fullness in flavor. I was presented with a bill and paid without leaving a tip as I had not wanted table service and would not normally leave a tip under those circumstances. Before I got halfway to the door, the waiter chased me down and essentially demanded a tip. He said "We are a full service restaurant. If you cannot afford a tip, you should not eat here." Rather than creating a scene, I reached into my pocket and pulled out a few singles before leaving. Totally unacceptable on the part of the restaurant whether they thought the lack of a tip was inappropriate or not. I indicated to the waiter that I would be sharing my experience with the Yelp community.

Hidden in the back of this inconspicuous restaurant as lovely Garden. Because we have vegans with us there are many options:) the hummus the beet salad and all the appetizers and mains are or well spiced and fresh. looking forward to coming back with more people as its one of the more inexpensive restaurants around

Service was horrible the food was unfavorable! Prioritizes online order over in store customers and doesn't think that was anything wrong to do so after approaching them multiple times(20mins after)

I love this place! Go here at least once a week and get a chicken platter to go. Comes with a pita, chicken, rice, and some great salad! The service is also stellar! I still remember how the third time I stopped by, one of the brothers behind the counter already knew my order. Only have 2 complaints really: wish they gave me a little more white/red sauce, and that the to-go box makes it difficult to mix this type of food. Food itself is great and couldn't recommend more! It's also byob!

Just an amazing place, great service and mind blowing food. The backyard is beautiful. Can't really say anything bad about this place so I'll just leave at that.

We do quite a bit of seamless-ordering from these folks so can't speak to the in-restaurant experience. After living in Cobble Hill for decades and getting used to the middle eastern places over there, moving to Windsor Terrace was a bit of a let down in that small regard. We basically order the same things from Bedawi that we ordered from our old Cobble Hill spots. The pita pizza is delicious (oddly, the chicken one is by far my fave) and the assorted plate is a great deal. Their honey/semolina cake is tasty. The delivery guys are fast and have always been friendly.

Ordered takeout as dining in is not an option yet. The falafel sandwich was tasty, though a little too much sauce made it quite drippy. The beet salad was very fresh and delicious. I was not impressed by the Bedawi pizza-- it was lacking in flavor. Perhaps their meat pizzas are better like other reviewers noted.

Love this place so Much, my favorite thing is the lamb pizza it's sooo good and flavorful. The crust is chewy and the cheese is stretchy. Labana is very creamy, the little salad you get is so good the pickled veggies are crisp and juicy. The brothers are the nicest guys and truly know their customers. They have a juice drink I love and idk what it's even called but they just know their customers that they know what you like. They have a great family and great food. Falafel has a nice herbaceous flavor and crisp.

I can't believe I haven't written a review yet for Bedawi Cafe. This is pretty much the absolute best place to get food in Windsor Terrace. Every time I eat here, it's a serious struggle to make a decision about what to order. I usually end up getting the chicken ouzi, because it's one of the most unique dishes I've ever eaten. It involves a ton of chicken & rice wrapped in phyllo dough, plus a big salad and pita bread (their pita is something special). It's super filling, so it typically ends up being enough food for two meals. However, their pizzas are also amazing! Since this is a Middle Eastern/Jordanian place, the pizzas obviously aren't your typical New York slice; instead, they're made on pita bread! You definitely should try one. My favorite is probably the chicken pizza, but the simple tomato and cheese option is also incredible. You can't really go wrong. And of course, they do platters and pita sandwiches perfectly. I love the seasoning on their chicken, and their falafel couldn't possibly be any better. Also, their appetizers/sides are all so good! The hummus is my top choice in that category, but everything is great. All of their dishes feel really wholesome and homemade, and there are so many healthy options. They don't serve alcohol, but it's BYOB, which is fun. If you're not in the mood for alcohol, try their delicious tea or the Bedawi Frappe! I get delivery a lot of the time, and it's always ridiculously fast, but I also love coming here in person! Especially in the summer - they have a beautiful garden in the back. And they're really friendly here!

Feasting in Summer Garden As we were searching for a quiet restaurant to celebrate the new art project, we came to the seasonal retreat at the Bedawi Cafe. We wandered into a surprise garden. It was newly decorated with potted plants and strings of mini lights. In the quiet atmosphere, a backyard was transformed into a mysterious garden. We sat down by the last table and joined the visitors to the garden. The scene recalled moments in Rome in another summer--the yellow painted wall of a building outside the tall window of my old fashioned hotel. Our dishes added to the aromas of the evening. The marguez platter and chicken platter came with a flavorful falafel. The large, hand rolled pita settled on the basket like an unusual fish. Its shape kept on changing in the cool night air. We feasted on the expertly prepared plates despite the fact that we forgot to bring our champagne.

Nice cafe - I came once before and the is nice. Service is really good and their respectful. We ordered falafel, ouzi, chicken kabob and platter with chick peas and labna. The chick peas, labna and bread were good. The ouzi which is a crispy stuffed bread with ruce and meat inside was nice good but on the dry side. The sauce helped with digestion. Chicken kabob was dry too. Falafel was also really dry and lacked flavor. This a solid place but don't recommend the falafel.

I keep going back to this place. Why? It is, at the very heart of it, the flavor, no, the many, many flavors that I crave on almost a daily basis. It's always going to be the mezze for me - all year long. I get the potato salad, the lentil-bulgur mix, chickpea/spinach salad, the baba ganoush, labane. it's a combination of dense, complex flavors I love: salty, savory veggies complimented by the rich, creamy yogurt sauce and eggplant/garlic puree. they add the crispiest, caramelized onions on top of some of the veggies. can this lily be more gilded? and they christen both the baba ganoush and the labane, which is a gorgeous serving of intense yogurt, with a perfectly brined olive. To. Die. For.

The food was good for the price. However I did not appreciate the delivery person arguing with me about a tip.

After working in the area for more than a year now, I'm sad that I only discovered Bedawi Cafe now! Well that's going to change! I highly recommend their lunch menu options! So much flavor and options in one dish. I ordered the chicken platter that came with a house green salad, pita bread (a bit dry) and I chose baba ghanouj. Drink was mango juice. Holy guacamole! My taste buds rejoiced. Hopefully I'll try other options to keep my tummy and mind happy! Lunch special is Monday - Friday, 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Card minimum = $10.

So this was my first time at this place and I had a pleasant experience for the most part. The food: (in order of most liked to meh-so-so) Spicy Lamb Pizza($10): thin crust, not too oily, great flavor, but I wish it had more pieces of lamb. Chicken pizza($10): same as the lamb (but I liked the lamb tad bit better) the size of the pizza is enough for 2 semi-hungry people to share if more food is ordered as well. 1 whole pizza would be enough for a hungry-hungry person. Chicken Platter($10): superb chicken. Cooked just the way I like it - a bit charred and seasoned very well. Rice and salad was alright. Chicken ouzi($13): it's a unique taste. If you don't like spicy food, you will enjoy this. If you like your food spicy, I wouldn't recommend it. Mint tea($2): I always like mint tea. This was no different. The Service: We went in pretty late - around 9:30pm. Aside from one other customer, it was just our group of about 7 people. I have to say the service was slow. I wish someone came to check on us as we were sitting in the garden area. Some of us were waiting for quite some time for a water refill. However, when the nice man was serving us, he was very pleasant; brought a nice homey, welcoming vibe. He also served us complimentary dessert (a dry cake type of dish with sweet syrup drizzled over).How nice of him! It wasn't too sweet. I would recommend it. The Decor: They can definitely improve it. But it's not a bad place. I liked the garden area. Good place to just chill out with some buds at night. Will I be returning? Most likely, why not. I liked it. Try it out!

Amazing food!!! The staff was great, super friendly and knowledgeable. Price is reasonable and portions are filling. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, from the tapestry's to the menus. Will definatly revisiting this place.

Ordered the assorted salads- Bedawi salad, beet salad, labana, hummus, and spinach & chickpeas. It was amazing! So fresh filling. Definitely recommend.

If your in the mood for some excellent Middle Eastern food, this place is amazing! We had the Chicken Platter and the Falafel Platter with a side of Baba Ghanouj...delicious! Another note...Bring Your Own Wine- there is no corkage fee. We loved this cozy place - there's even a quaint little dining garden in the back. Looking forward to trying more of their delicious menu offerings. Yum!
