My husband, our little girl dog and I decided to Bedlam BAR-B-Q for an early dinner, a little before 5 pm, this past Tuesday. When we walked in, we were greeted by the employee behind the register. The employee behind the counter told us that the outdoor seating is dog friendly. After looking over the menu board, we ended up ordering:
Loaded Baked Potato, $12 prior to tax- The loaded baked potato comes with your choice of meat, I ended up picking chicken and requested that the butter, sour cream and chives be placed on the side. I also was given a free side of fresh sliced onions, a pickle spear and pepper as well. The potato already had the cheese on the potato but was only semi melted. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with the temperature of my potato and wished it was served hot, especially since the cheese wasn't fully melted. The amount of chicken on this loaded baked potato was quite generous and was nice and tender. I shared my potato with my husband and a small amount with my little girl (just the potato part).
Brisket Combo Plate, $22 prior to tax- This plate comes with 2 sides, in which my husband picked collared greens and tabouli salad. My husband always likes to choose collards greens at a barbecue place if it is on the menu. He liked it and I thought it was prepared well, not too sour and the vegetables were soft and tender. I don't normally like tabouli salad because people who prepare it usually use too much lemon juice, making it very sour. This salad though was actually just fine, but my husband didn't like it (honestly, he only picked it because he wanted to add more fiber to his meal). The brisket was tender and good but we have had better. His meal also came with onions, a pickle spear and pepper. He also had a thick slice of white bread that was toasted.

(Total= $36.93 after tax, prior to tip)
I was actually surprised that our food was brought out about 10 minutes after we had ordered. Also the outdoor seating area is very nice. Parts of the outdoor seating is covered as well if you happen to come out here on a sunny day.
I was also surprised that this restaurant only had 1 unisex restroom. The restroom had ran out of toilet paper when I had happened to use it (and believe it or not, I actually did have toilet paper in my pocket. Ever since we have been on our trip, my nose has been running so much because of how windy and dusty it has been since we have arrived. So I have been keeping toilet paper in my pocket to blow my nose... TMI, I know). But it did have soap (no paper towels since there was a hand dryer).
Service was friendly and appreciated that the employee who took our order had come out later on to check out up on us if we needed anything.
Overall, we weren't wowed by the food and would be open to trying another barbecue joint in OKC.
