This zi char place is quite popular and even got Michelin Selected in recent years. The shop is small with tight tables, so if you don’t come early you’ll probably have to queue. Food comes out a bit slow, so patience is needed.
• Curry Prawns:
A bit plain and not very special but prawns big lo. Served lukewarm maybe just my preference, but I like food served hotter.
• Stir-fried Kailan with Salted Fish:
Tasty but a little oily.
• Sambal Kangkung:
Really good the sambal is fragrant and worth ordering.
• Pan-fried Fish with Dark Soy Sauce:
Crispy and fragrant, with thick sauce. Nice overall, though a bit on the sweet side and can get jelak after a while.
Tips: They only accept cash. Best to come early to avoid the crowd and to get a seat more easily.
