Absolutely excellent! This noodle restaurant is a hidden gem and easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The noodles are perfectly cooked—chewy, fresh, and full of flavor. Every dish is crafted with care, and you can taste the quality in each bite. The broth (if you go for a soup option) is rich and aromatic, and the stir-fried options are just as impressive, with bold, well-balanced seasoning and plenty of fresh ingredients. The portion sizes are generous without being overwhelming. On top of the amazing food, the service is friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is cozy but modern. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or sitting down for a full meal, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend to any noodle lover—this spot is truly excellent.

Hidden gem in NYC!!!! If you are thinking of eating here, go immediately! When we walked in, we were greeted by the kindest staff who treated us like family. Seeing them making hand-pulled noodles, we knew we had to order the beef noodle soup. The broth, the noodles, and the beef were so flavorful without being overly salty or overpowering. The highlight of the meal was the beef and cabbage dumplings — easily some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had! The lamb skewers and pancakes (that they gave us for free) were also delicious. Overall, an amazing experience and we will definitely be back!!

We were all very hangry, and decided to come to Beef Up Noodle for late lunch / early supper. Fortunately for us, it was empty and we got ordering quickly. The food came in due time, and it was fresh and tasty. I find the store quite messy though, not enough hands to make sure it's clean everywhere. There are hygienic wipes for us to clean up though, so all is not lost in this regard.

Finally, the best hand pulled noodles in Manhattan. It is HALAL! They would hand pull the noodles to show how authentic it is. The beef broth is smooth, the noodles are springy as freshly made, and the beef meat is so soft. This will definitely be my regular place in the city.

Thank you very much for the halal beef noodles provided by beef up noodles. I really like the taste and haven't eaten it for a long time. In addition, the service of the sisters at the front desk was very good and there were many people. This is a great Chinese Muslim restaurant. I will come again.

Google
Really awesome northwestern Chinese style noodles and menu. Another option highlighting the various cultures across the Chinese cuisine. To note, unlike Sichuan noodles, the default spice level is not as crazy but they may have just toned it down a bit given the neighborhood. The free to self serve Yuzu drink is amazing. Will come again.

We went there for Suhoor. The owners were extremely polite and kind for providing free suhoor during Ramadan! Their hospitality were absolutely lovely Can’t wait to try other food on their menu. May Allah bless them for the initiative in sha Allah

Yelp
Absolutely loved the beef noodles -- the first bite instantly took me back to the flavors of Nanjing! I also asked if there was a place to pray, and the manager kindly guided me to a dedicated prayer area in the basement -- such a thoughtful touch for a halal spot. To top it off, they don't accept tips and offer free homemade juice. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the experience!

Yelp
Wow! Love this place! Over a beautiful Spring weekend, was in the Gramercy area looking for something fresh and not hot to eat for lunch. Came across Beef Up Noodle, a Halal Lanzhou Beef Noodles restaurant. In the door, they advertised a $9.99 Sesame Paste Cold Noodle special. When I walked inside, noted in their open kitchen them pulling by hand the noodles in the back, so decided to go for it. Note - They advertise no tips are required because they provide their staff with fair and stable wages. They're set up for ordering via touch display, as I was paying in cash it required the counter person to process, which caused a little delay in getting change due to some issue with their system, but in the end he brought my change to the table. To drink, they offer self-serve complementary Yuzu and Lemon juices in addition to water. (Really liked the Yuzu!) He diligently brought my dish to the table. As condiments, they provide both a special chili paste and vinegar you may enjoy. While the sesame paste was slightly different than the cold sesame noodle dishes I've had at Chinese restaurants, my extremely fresh absolutely delicious Cold Noodle dish (see pic) really perfectly hit the spot! (Those condiments work well with it too!) If you're ordering the soup, it comes in an entree sized large bowl, so next time I'm going to explore other Central Asian specialties they have - Uyghur Lagman hand-pulled noodles (something I also love) and possibly something with beef, lamb or chicken. Looking forward to also trying their Saozi Noodles too! Given the service, no tip policy, and freshly prepared food, recommend you stop by yourself to Beef Up Noodle!

Yelp
I was wondering what would replace SGD, and Uyghur food was not on my bingo card. The menu is really unique, with flavors that bring together East Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine. Lots of spice, some cumin, and hand pulled noodles made my dish delicious. I think it's a family-run operation, so don't expect it to be the fastest. But it's clean, the staff are friendly, and the food is good. At under $20 for LARGE servings, it's a nice, filling option in the area.

Yelp
Saw it while walking around the neighborhood and instantly wanted to try it-You can easily dine in and service is good. The have a decent menu and we loved everything we tried- It was all made fresh and good. Tried their dumpling soup and beef noodles which were both great! Ample entree size. Would defo recommend!

Yelp
I went here recently and they are already quite popular at least for lunch. The place has some growing pains such as their ordering machine not working yet and some dishes were not available. Side note that no tip is required here which is different for a Chinese spot. I got the combo for $20.99 with a choice of noodles between either the Beef Noodle Soup or the Saozi Noodles along with a Marinated Egg and a side dish or soda. I was originally going to get the saozi but they were out so I got the Beef Noodle Soup by process of elimination along with said egg and my side dish was their cucumber salad. I didn't bother with a soda and they have some serve your self drinks including tea and a yuzu drink which was a nice touch along with a listed orange one which wasn't available and she said there is also hot tea but I didn't look for it. Side note that the soups take a good while to come out as they make the hand pulled noodles from scratch per order. The staff inside were friendly with I believe the owner coming around and speaking with the various folks. The cucumber salad came out first. It had a bit less ingredients than expected compared to the photo but it was still pretty tasty. The cucumbers were in black vinegar and were refreshing. This was fine but I wouldn't pay $6.99 for it if it was cucumber only also on the menu even with the decent portion. Soon enough came out the soup which had a large amount of shredded beef along with radish, a lot of noodles, some cilantro, and said broth. By comparison to 1915 Lanzhou spot a half block away from here, the beef here was shredded but less flavorful and the broth was less salty and I think a tad tastier. I found the mala oil here a bit more fragrant here which was a plus. There was also bok choy in that soup while this had radish of course. This place is also halal while the other spot is definitely not. The biggest plus here are the noodles which are outstanding. You wait a while longer than Lanzhou but the noodle texture has a perfect chewy consistency. No complaints at all for the latter. The marinated egg which of course was a tea egg was also a lot better being already peeled and with a lot more tea flavor. Overall, I preferred the noodles here slightly so even with the wait and with lack of noodle choice, I preferred this spot. I presume this spot will soon have similar lines as 1915 nearby. I slightly prefer this one but both are excellent. Mid 4 for this spot, lower 4 for the other one.

Yelp
The beef sour vegetables noodles soup is great on a rainy day. It has the sourness and spicy from the soup. The noodles are bouncy and delightful to chew on. Beef is tender and loaded with the flavors of the soup. The place is new on the block but it was packed when I was there today. Do take advantage of the free homemade juices and the no tips. Staff is wonderful with a great smile.

Yelp
Service very lovely (even with some language barriers). Food was very good and I enjoyed trying a new cuisine. Can't wait to come back and order new items from the menu!

Yelp
A must visit in Kips Bay- this Halal Lanzhou beef noodle soup shop delivers hearty hot and spicy soups, tasty skewers and other Uyghur favorites. We were lucky to arrive at 5 on a Friday - no tables left by the time we departed.

Yelp
Found Beef Up Noodle by campus - 100% halal and so good! Got their beef noodle soup, chewy noodles, and generous beef. **Free drinks** and samples too. Perfect student meal - big portions, great price. Must-try!

Yelp
When I was ordering Lanzhou beef noodles today, I didn't read the menu carefully and ended up choosing rice noodles by mistake. At first, I thought I'd just eat it anyway, but after a couple of bites, I realized I really didn't like the combination of beef soup with rice noodles. So I asked if I could switch to regular noodles and said I'd be happy to pay a little extra. The staff were very accommodating and quickly helped me make the change -- they didn't even charge me anything extra. I really appreciated that. This is my third time dining here, and it's still a five-star experience!

Yelp
Was just walking around office neighborhood and found Beef Up Noodle. The menu is simple but very appealing. I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup with regular size noodles. Juices and water is free and they offer chili oil and soy sauce to doctor up the dish. In my case they also offered a new cold noodles appetizer to try. The app was nice but not something I would normally order. The soup was excellent! Noodles were nice balance of chewy and soft and the soup was not blazingly hot so you can keep at that level with nice spice or you can add and make it a little sweat inducing . Lots of beef as well as bok choy to add some greens. Really comforting and since I have a sore throat, the broth was great. And very reasonably priced. I highly recommend if you are in the area

Yelp
For a place that calls itself beef up noodle I expected higher quality beef. It was fatty and tough, obviously uncooked - as you go deeper into the hot broth you find softer pieces that had time to marinate. Pretty expensive too considering the gristle to meat ratio

Yelp
Beef noodle soup has great flavor, you get to add the spice to your taste. The bread for the lamb burger was perfectly crunchy. Nice clean space with plenty of seating.

Yelp
I came here for the first time and absolutely loved the beef noodle soup. Everything from the noodles to the broth was just right. I appreciate how easy the ordering process was (order & pay kiosk). I'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I ordered the braised beef noodle and it was fantastic! Fast and friendly service as well.
