"Border X Brewing, originally launched in San Diego in 2014, is opening a new location in Los Angeles. The brewery is known for its Mexican-inspired craft beers, such as pepino sours and camotero. The new venue features 16 beers on tap, a tasting room, a large bar, and a mezzanine. The space is decorated with murals and artwork, and offers food from the adjacent El Nuevo Mundo Bakery. It is a family-run business led by CEO David Favela and his family." - Mona Holmes

Great place to go for a beer during the week. I had the oh michelada and loved it. Love the vibe, they give my dogs treats too! There’s usually a food pop up in the back too.

Beer is pretty good, service is ridiculously lazy though. Piña and watermelon miches are a solid go-to, just careful from ordering from the lazy bartenders. Ordered a michelada from Chris three times, no fancy requests just as is and they just simply did not know what a michelada was. When I asked for a refund for a drink I didn’t ask for from Chris, they gave me a bunch of excuses as to why they couldn’t make it normally. I mentioned why it didn’t come with tajin or chamoy and the little brat gave me a dirty look and walked away. But when I order from the gentleman with the beard and glasses, he made it just fine, super polite, and apologized on Chris’ behalf. should’ve given it a 1* but they had live music playing, that’s pretty sweet.

I love this place. People are great. But I have noticed alot of favoritism from employees to customers. Letting them get first Dibs or cut in line at the bar. That's my o ly complaint. Or else it would be 5 stars

I've been meaning to come here since they opened, but just made it for my first visit. It won't be my last. Trying their West Coast IPA, and it is delicious. Priced similar to other local brewers. Friendly enough. Parking can be a pain.

I've become a regular at BorderX and noticed that they had a different menu. I asked the young man working the bar about the new menu. I was told that BorderX is doing a collaboration with Beer Thugs. They have really enjoyable beers. I recommend the sour; it tastes like candy without it being overpowered by sweetness. They got the taste right on the sour. Ditto for the triple IPA. The triple IPA is served in a goblet style glass cup (10%). This triple IPA is very smooth. I could not taste the alcohol but felt the buzz. I also got to meet the owner of Beer Thugs (Edgar) during happy hour and he was very friendly and told me about the challenges in become a brewer in a scene where there are a lot of competitors. I recommend people who frequent BorderX to give Beer Thugs a try...delicious!
